Hello, survivors! Let’s continue to learn about what new features are coming in the new season. This time we would like to talk about the new legendary cabin that builds upon the “Omnibox”, and have a look at the new legendary grenade launcher with two firing modes. Let’s go!

We remind you that all the new features described in the “Developer blog” are not final and may be changed before they are introduced into the game or may not make it into the game at all. This applies not only to information about possible unique features of new parts, but also to the appearance of the parts themselves.

Legendary grenade launcher

The Scavengers have an explosive surprise for you!

The main feature of the new grenade launcher is two firing modes. If you make one quick click, the grenade launcher fires a projectile, which will burst into several small explosive fragments on impact. In this mode, the grenade launcher does area damage.

If you hold down the firing button, the grenade launcher will fire a solid projectile, which will not shatter on impact and will not create additional explosions. This mode reduces the spread and increases the damage of the projectile itself, allowing you to use the grenade launcher at long range like a cannon.

The perk of the legendary weapon allows you to increase the damage with precision shooting. It is better to activate it in the first mode. The damage of the next shot will increase for each part hit by the explosion.

Legendary cabin

The new medium cabin builds upon the “Omnibox”. It also has two modes and permanent bonuses based on the mechanics of its predecessor, but these bonuses can be further enhanced during battle.

The first mode will increase maximum speed and power. Additionally, the first mode accumulates a bonus to damage based on the distance you have travelled, but you can activate this bonus only in the second mode.

The second mode increases the maximum damage of all weapons. Additionally, in the second mode, the cabin accumulates the bonuses to maximum speed and power. To do this, you need to deal damage to enemies. These bonuses can only be activated in the first mode. Note that the higher the rarity of your weapons, the more damage you will need to deal to accumulate the bonus.

The cabin requires constant movement and accurate shooting, as well as frequent change of modes according to the situation on the battlefield.

New structural parts




Also, starting this September, Crossout will have four Battle Passes per year instead of three. The levelling will become faster, and more content will be released per year, including free content. The content of each pass may be slightly reduced, but the number of levels and overall value will not change.

  • “Sea battle” is a team PvP brawl.
  • Before the start of the game, each player can choose one of three armoured cars (roles):
    • Auxiliary: close range combat ship with a large-caliber autocannon, the “Nest” rocket launcher and an infinite invisibility reserve.
    • Rocket: deals high damage at medium distance, equipped with rocket launchers.
    • Patrol: a long-range ship with revolver cannons.
  • The reward for the battles of the mode is scrap metal.

Hello! The next update that will start a new season in Crossout will also bring a number of balance changes. We invite you to personally try out and share your impressions of all the changes before they are introduced into the game on a special test sever!

We remind you that all the new features described in this news article are not final and may be changed before they are introduced into the game or may not be implemented into the game at all. You can familiarize yourself with all the planned changes in detail on the special test server!

Ram damage
  • Base ram damage increased by 10%.
  • Reduced the bonus to ram damage for bumpers, passive melee weapons, “Goblin”, “Gremlin” and “Draco”. Removed the bonus completely for “Bastion”.
Comment: currently, the difference between dealing ram damage with a regular part and a part that has a ram damage bonus is too great. Ramming an enemy with a regular part does significantly less damage than ramming with a part with the bonus. The change levels out the difference and reduces the maximum possible damage.

“Yongwang”, “Fortune” and “Porcupine”
  • Disabled the projectiles’ inertia.
Comment: this change was announced before, but got postponed due to feedback. As promised, we will give you the opportunity to test the change on the test server. You will also have access to a poll on this change, the results of which will influence the decision.

Tempest
  • Rate of fire increased by 15%.
  • Heating rate reduced by 20%.
  • As a result of the above changes, the time to overheat has increased by 9%.
Comment: low efficiency of the autocannon. Increasing the time to overheat will allow players to fire longer and deal more damage.

Prosecutor 76mm
  • Projectile speed increased by 18%.
  • Penetration ability increased from 25 to 50%.
Comment: low efficiency of the weapon. The change will help to deal damage with it.

Carapace
  • Perk’s bonus to weapons reload speed increased from 30 to 40%.
  • Perk’s active time increased from 6 to 8 sec.
Comment: unpopular and inefficient cabin in comparison with other available options.

Clarinet TOW
  • Added a perk that increases damage depending on the modules installed (similar to “Yongwang”).
  • Energy drain increased from 10 to 20 units.
  • PS increased from 1350 to 2700.
  • Added 150 points to damage upon hit and 100% penetration ability.
  • Control of the vehicle now returns to the player in the second phase of the rocket’s flight (when the rocket is launched into unguided flight).
  • The time before you can transition from the first phase of the rocket’s flight to the second phase is reduced from 1 to 0.3 sec.
  • Sped up the return of control of the vehicle after the rocket has detonated.
Comment: a weak weapon with a unique mechanic. The perk, damage, energy drain and PS changes should prevent the weapon from having inflated efficiency at low PS as it was before, but make it more relevant at medium and high PS. The rest of the changes were implemented to make gameplay more comfortable.

Elephant
  • The projectile now deals cryogenic damage upon detonation and freezes parts by 25%.
  • The radius of the projectile’s explosion reduced by 30%.
  • Moved the weapon to the “Cryogenic” category.
Comment: low efficiency and popularity of the cannon. We decided to update the “Elephant’s” mechanic instead of just increasing its parameters, making it a predecessor to “Narwhal”. Due to the freeze mechanic, the “Elephant” will be more efficient in dealing damage and helping allies to do so. Explosion radius has been reduced due to the high efficiency of the freeze mechanic. The test server also features updated cannon textures.

Thresher
  • Perk’s damage bonus increased from 7 to 8%.
  • The perk now stacks for up to 6 times instead of 5.
Comment: low efficiency. Changes increase efficiency when actively using the perk.

Executioner 88mm
  • Projectile speed increased by 18%.
  • Penetration ability increased from 30 to 50%.
Comment: similar logic to the “Prosecutor 76mm” changes.

AC64 Joule
  • Damage increased by 12%.
Comment: the damage increase should solve the problem of the autocannon’s low efficiency.

ATGM Flute
  • Perk changed to: “Hitting the target increases the damage by 14%, the bonus stacks up to 5 times. Each miss reduces the number of accumulated hits”.
  • Damage increased by 38%.
Comment: in its current form, the weapon is unpopular and difficult to use. A new perk that is not related to projectile flight time should fix this.

Yongwang
  • Added a mechanic to reduce the number of projectiles in the volley from 5 to 2 if the “Yongwang” is upside down.
  • Perk’s bonuses from modules of each rarity are now 1% higher.
  • Durability increased from 465 to 560 pts.
Comment: the weapon simultaneously shows high efficiency when mounted upside down under the armoured car, and low efficiency when mounted conventionally. These changes should correct the situation.

Raijin
  • Damage reduced by 11%.
  • Durability reduced from 1440 to 1281 pts.
  • Perk’s damage and damage protection bonus increased from 7 to 12%.
  • Perk now deactivates 10 sec. after the last hit.
  • Rotation speed reduced by 32%.
Comment: with its simplicity of use, the weapon is extremely effective at a wide range of PS, and shows high results not only in “Clan confrontation”, but also in “Clan wars”. With these changes, the weapon will become more demanding on the player’s skills, while leaving unchanged the maximum possible damage and survivability (with fully accumulated perk).

Tachi
  • Perk changed to: “If the direction of the vehicle’s movement does not match the direction of “Tachi’s” activation, the length of the damage zone will be significantly increased”.
  • Reduced the base damage zone length. It is now equal to the damage zone of “Tempura”.
  • Active time reduced from 2 to 1.2 sec.
  • Damage increased by 125%.
Comment: too high efficiency at the 7000 to 9000 PS range when mounted in the front of the vehicle and played similarly to “Tempura”. The weapon will now function more like a “Tempura” of epic rarity when mounted this way, and will not be affected when mounted in other directions, which is in line with the original intent.

Jotun
  • The puddle now reduces power and speed by 17% instead of 33%.
Comment: deceleration effect was too strong when combined with the freezing over a large area.

Aurora
  • Heating rate reduced from 20 to 10% per second.
Comment: high efficiency as an auxiliary weapon to miniguns / machine guns due to rapid heating of parts to maximum level.

Spectre-2
  • Damage reduced by 3%.
  • Perk’s damage bonus reduced from 4 to 3%.
Comment: high efficiency at the range of 8000–10000 PS and in “Clan confrontation”. The machine gun was quite close to its legendary counterpart, the “Aspect”, in terms of damage dealt per battle.

Manitou
  • The maximum bonus to revolvers’ reload speed increased from 30 to 50%.
  • Removed the reloading of the perk.
Comment: low popularity of the cabin among the players who use revolvers.

Echo
  • Perk’s bonus to weapon reload speed increased from 50 to 65%.
  • Perk’s active time increased from 7 to 10 sec.
Comment: similar logic to the “Carapace” changes.

Tracks
  • Traction significantly increased.
Comment: after changing the mechanics of the tracks, there was feedback on their insufficient surface traction. The change should correct this.

  • Goliath
  • The bonus to durability of attached parts increased from 10 to 25%.
Comment: the change encourages building a vehicle with focus on the perk, which is not currently used very often.

Gerrida I
  • Durability increased from 410 to 435 pts.
  • Tonnage increased from 1400 to 1500 kg.
  • Slightly increased traction.
Comment: partial reversal of recent changes that have reduced “Gerrida’s” efficiency beyond expected levels.

Meat Grinder
  • Perk’s maximum bonus is now accumulated at 30000 kg mass of the armoured car instead of 20000 kg before.
  • Perk’s maximum damage bonus increased from 200 to 400%.
  • Added damage protection bonus to the perk, equal to 200% at a mass of 30000 kg.
  • Durability reduced from 820 to 550 pts.
  • Mass reduced from 1100 to 730 kg.
  • Fire and cryogenic damage resistance increased from 25 to 40%.
Comment: these changes are aimed to strengthen heavy builds on augers, but weaken relatively light builds at low PS, and achieve the following effects:
  • below 15000 kg mass, augers will do the same damage, but their survivability will be reduced;
  • at masses between 15000 kg and 20000 kg the damage will remain the same, but survivability will increase;
  • above 20000 kg mass, both damage and survivability of augers will increase significantly.
Reducing the mass and increasing resistances further improve the survivability of vehicles on augers.


Icarus IV
  • Flight altitude reduced by 1.33 pins.
  • Tonnage reduced from 1350 to 1100 kg.
Icarus VII
  • Flight altitude reduced by 3 pins and is now the same as that of the “Icarus IV”.
  • Tonnage reduced from 900 to 740 kg.
Comment on hovers: hovers are the best choice for using with firearms because of a number of advantages, one of which is the flight altitude of an armoured car. Changing the altitude will help ground vehicles destroy parts that are mounted on top of the vehicles with hovers. Changing the tonnage should help make some builds lighter.

Bigram
  • Speed in legs mode reduced from 55 to 45 km/h.
  • Traction reduced.
Comment: in its current form, the “Bigram” stands out for its parameters relative to other legs, which may be exacerbated once hovers are weakened. With these changes, it will become the slowest mechanical legs, but will be able to compensate for this with the wheels mode. Changing the traction will slightly weaken its ability to push other vehicles.

Athena
  • The effect of speed on the spread is reduced in half.
Comment: lack of efficiency. The change will simplify the damage dealing and use of the perk and will help “Athena” to perform well on fast vehicles.

Skadi
  • Damage increased by 12%.
Comment: not enough damage for a frost cannon of legendary rarity.

Harvester
  • Perk now accumulates in 0.5 sec. of contact instead of 1 sec. and stacks up to 8 times instead of 7.
Comment: low efficiency of the weapon.

Kaiju
  • Removed negative effects during charging.
  • Damage increased by 8%.
  • Rotation speed increased by 80%.
  • Charged shot can now only be held for 4 sec.
Comment: currently unpopular weapon used only in combination with legs, which are not hindered by its negative effects. The change should fix the situation and make it more efficient when used with other movement parts.

Cyclone
  • Maximum rate of fire is now achieved in 6 sec. instead of 4 sec.
Comment: high efficiency of the autocannon. This change is due to a recent rebalance that made the rate of fire reset gradually instead of instantaneously.

Draco
  • Damage reduced by 12%.
Comment: the damage of this flamethrower is too high for its rarity and is close to the damage of the relic “Firebug”.

Yokozuna
  • Mass limit reduced from 21000 to 19000 kg.
  • Power reduced by 9%.
  • Perk active time reduced from 13 to 10 sec.
Comment: after several changes, the cabin has gone from being forgotten to one of the most popular ones. These changes are aimed at reducing the total durability and average mobility of vehicles that use it.

Apollo IV
  • Durability increased from 427 to 515 pts.
Comment: insufficient survivability for a heavy generator in comparison with other generators.

Scorpion
  • The damage reduction rate upon piercing parts reduced by 15%.
Comment: the change in damage reduction rate should further strengthen the “Scorpion’s” perk, which is rarely implemented in battles.

Porcupine
  • Blast damage reduced by 11%.
  • Reload time increased from 3 to 3.5 sec.
  • Maximum ammo reduced from 16 to 12 pcs.
Comment: extremely efficient weapon with very high damage and rate of fire, even for a relic rarity. Reducing the maximum ammo will additionally limit the possibility of uncontrollably throwing barrels all over the battlefield.

How to get on the test server?

If you have already participated in testing on a special server, then it will be enough to start the Launcher from the folder with the test client and wait for the update to complete.
  • Create a new folder for the game on your hard drive.
  • Download the Launcher from this link. The file name should not contain numbers indicating that the file is a duplicate. Please note that you should launch the file that does not contain any digits (1), (2), etc. in its name. If, when starting the installed launcher, you get to the live game servers, you need to delete all downloaded launchers from the download folder and try again.
  • Start the Launcher and install the game to the folder you created (for example: D:\Public test\Crossout).
  • After the installation is complete, start the Launcher and enter the game with your username and password.
  • The whole progress of your main account will be transferred to the main server (including parts in storage and levels of reputation in factions).
  • After logging into the server, to transfer progress from your account, press the “Esc” key and select “Copy account data”.

Hello, survivors! Today we start a series of blogs about the upcoming season that will start in September. The survivors have reached a heroic victory over Lloyd, and it led them to new opportunities. The Scavengers have found a lot of interesting parts in the depths of the mad scientist’s hideout. Those findings along with the emergence of Aris, the new leader of the Ravagers, will lead to a new conflict between two coalitions, but let’s not spoil anything for now.

Some of you already know that the new season will introduce vertical mechanical legs, but it’s not the only new feature that awaits us! Let’s start with the new legendary rocket launcher and the new legendary support module that can boost the attack of a number of modules of different types at the same time. Are you intrigued? Legendary rocket launcher

The new legendary rocket launcher comes from the Scavengers faction and allows you to deal high amounts of blast damage in an area. The weapon fires a burst of several fast, maneuverable rockets that will fly like a swarm towards the targeted area and explode upon hit.

The new weapon’s perk will focus on rewarding skillful and precise shooting. Each hit upon an enemy will boost the damage of the next volley. In addition, it will also increase the reload speed of the rocket launcher.

Legendary support module

The new module is similar to the “Omamori” and “Averter” in that it also boosts the parts that are attached to it. But the new module functions not as a defensive part, but as an offensive one. It amplifies various attack parameters, depending on the parts that are attached to it. It is possible to boost weapons, cabins and engines with it.

If you attach a weapon to the new module, it will get a boost to damage. A cabin will get a bonus to maximum speed, and attaching an engine to the new module will result in an increase of the “power” parameter of the armoured vehicle.

The most amazing part is that you can attach all three types of parts to the new module and get all three boosts at the same time. But be cautious: the new module explodes when it gets destroyed, and it can’t be installed alongside the “Averter” or “Omamori”.

We are eager to see how you will use the new module to get maximum efficiency out of it. It has a lot of potential!

Hello! A new football championship has begun in the Wasteland! There, you will not only be able to take part in intense football matches and get rewards for completing challenges, but also compete for the highest places in the leaderboard and for the best prizes!

“Steel championship”
Attention! The mode will be available from August 29 to September 4 inclusive!
  • Players can take part in the mode both as a group and individually as part of a randomly selected team.
  • The match takes place in the “3 vs. 3” format.
  • The match lasts 3 minutes. The team that scores more goals against the opponents wins.
  • If a team leads the opponent by 3 goals scored, the match automatically ends with a victory for this team.
  • In the case of a draw in regular time, overtime is appointed:
    • overtime lasts 1 minute;
    • the team that scores a goal during overtime wins;
    • if none of the teams scores a goal during the overtime, the match ends in a draw.
  • Before the start of the game, each player can choose an armoured car and, accordingly, a role in the upcoming match:
    • defender: quite mobile and allows you to temporarily disable the weapons of nearby enemies. Equipped with a shotgun that allows you to easily hit the ball, pass it further or even topple your opponents.
    • forward: a classic option for the “Steel championships”. A high-speed armoured car with a harpoon and a crossbow.
  • During the match, you can change your role by using self-destruction. Please note that after self-destruction, you will not be able to assist your allies for a few seconds.
  • We have taken your feedback on the last “Steel championship” into account and made changes to the armoured cars of the mode.
  • The focus on the ball option is now in a separate weapon group for convenience.
  • The reward for the battles of the mode is wires.
Leaderboard
For moving up the leaderboard and advancing to the next league, you will get the following rewards:
  • Rust: starter league, no rewards.
  • Iron: “Red glade” paint.
  • Steel: “‘Number One’ hand” decor.
  • Bronze: “Steel trophy” decor.
  • Silver: “Explosive gates” amusement ride.
  • Gold: “Fan-duck” decor.
  • Legend (rewards of this league are given out after the event ends):

Hello, survivors! The “Battle for uranium” will return today at 15:00 GMT. This time, you will have access to two different modes at the same time. In the first one you will fight using combat vehicles from 8000 to 10000 PS. In the second mode, battles will follow the rules of “Clan wars” (fight until two victories), and the PS frame will be from 12000 to 13000 PS. The event will end on September 1.

Also, get ready to step onto the football field again because the “Steel championship” returns on August 29! And don’t forget that August 28 will mark the last day of the “Dronapocalypse” brawl. Get a chance to ride the crazy drones!

Let’s spend the end of the summer in our favourite battle modes! The “Echoes of war” update will feature a new event of the same name with a reward scale, the return of “Dronapocalypse”, “Sea battle” and “Steel championship” brawls and for the first time ever, Wasteland hockey!




New event “Echoes of war”
Attention! The event will be available from August 22 to September 25 inclusive!

  • Event levels and their corresponding rewards will be unlocked as you complete special challenges and earn event experience points.
  • Event experience points are needed to unlock levels and receive rewards.
  • As part of this event, you will receive new challenges: 1 main and 1 additional challenge.
  • New challenges appear every day. All incomplete challenges accumulate.
  • Basic event rewards are available to all players. These include:
    • Coupons for factions’ workbenches;
    • 50 in-game coins;
    • A number of stickers;
    • “Outcast’s stash” container with a CK of your choice;
    • “Scout’s container” with a random legendary, epic or special part.
    • Resource containers;
    • A temporary recipe for the production of the new “Beachduck”;
    • Engineer badges.
  • All additional rewards (marked with an icon of a lock on a blue background) are available only to those who purchased the “Echoes of war” pack (regular or deluxe edition). Purchasing the deluxe edition immediately unlocks the next 10 levels and all the rewards of the already unlocked levels.
  • Purchasing the pack gives you access to:
    • Certain already produced parts;

We know that you’ve missed the wild battles of small drones with big guns. Now it’s time for them to return!

  • “Dronapocalypse” is a team PvP brawl.
  • The team that inflicted more damage to an enemy leviathan or destroyed it wins the battle. If both leviathans have the same amount of durability at the end of the battle, then the battle ends in a draw.
  • Battles are fought on preset drone vehicles.
  • This year, we have added new leviathans and drones with new weapons.
  • At the start of each battle, you are automatically given a drone with random weapons.
  • The mode has respawns. Before respawning, you need to choose the drone you want to continue the battle with. The blueprints for display are randomly selected. If you don’t manage to choose a drone in the allotted time, you will automatically be given one of the offered ones.
  • Choose a drone wisely and take the current situation on the battlefield into account. The right choice will help you not only destroy the enemy leviathan faster, but also buy time by controlling your opponents and defending your leviathan.
  • From battle to battle, the leviathans of your or enemy team, as well as locations, may change.
  • The reward for the battles of the mode is wires.

Return of the “Steel championship” brawl

  • Players can take part in the mode both as a group and individually as part of a randomly selected team.
  • The match takes place in the “3 vs. 3” format.
  • The match lasts 3 minutes. The team that scores more goals against the opponents wins.
  • If a team leads the opponent by 3 goals scored, the match automatically ends with a victory for this team.
  • In the case of a draw in regular time, overtime is appointed:
    • overtime lasts 1 minute;
    • the team that scores a goal during overtime wins;
    • if none of the teams scores a goal during the overtime, the match ends in a draw.
  • Before the start of the game, each player can choose an armoured car and, accordingly, a role in the upcoming match:
    • defender: quite mobile and allows you to temporarily disable the weapons of nearby enemies. Equipped with a shotgun that allows you to easily hit the ball, pass it further or even topple your opponents.
    • forward: a classic option for the “Steel championships”. A high-speed armoured car with a harpoon and a crossbow.
  • During the match, you can change your role by using self-destruction. Please note that after self-destruction, you will not be able to assist your allies for a few seconds.
  • We have taken your feedback on the last “Steel championship” into account and made changes to the armoured cars of the mode.
  • The focus on the ball option is now in a separate weapon group for convenience.
  • The reward for the battles of the mode is wires.
Leaderboard
For moving up the leaderboard and advancing to the next league, you will get the following rewards:

“Battle for uranium”
This time, players will have access to two different modes with two different leaderboards at the same time. Please note that you will have to choose which mode is more suitable for you and participate only in it. If you participate in the first mode and then move to the second, you will inevitably lower your rating in the leaderboard of the first mode and vice versa.

  • The first mode is almost the same as the previous “Battle for uranium” variations. The only difference is the PS bracket (from 8000 to 10000) and rewards:

    • After the event ends, the players that are placed in the “Legend” league will receive additional ore, depending on their placement on the leaderboard:

    • For moving to the “Silver” and “Gold” leagues, you will receive 10 uranium ore as a reward.

Comment: due to the recent energy system changes, it became necessary to introduce a rare heavy generator that supplies 3 energy units (“Big G” that supplies 2 energy units was immediately followed by “Ampere” that supplies 4, so it was impossible to choose an optimal generator for some builds).
“FG Aggregator” is the predecessor to the “PU-1 Charge” and will be used in its production. The new generator will be available for production on the Engineers workbench. Hello, survivors! The second “Battle for uranium” ended at the beginning of August and the best of the best have already received their well-deserved rewards. As it was stated in the recent Q&A, it is planned to make the most successful variation of this event permanent in the future.
