Crossout - Faley016

We invite you to celebrate the 9th anniversary of our favourite game! Together we will participate in the “Mad chase”, fight each other during the “Crossout Day”, receive gifts and earn all the rewards. Let’s go!

Mad chase
Attention! The event will be available from May 23 to May 29 inclusive!
[expand type=details]
  • “Mad chase” is a PvE mode for 4 players.
  • The goal is to stop the moving trucks before they leave the location.
  • Be careful: the trucks are well-equipped and armed; they move quickly and are guarded by heavily armed raiders.
  • To win, you have to destroy one or both trucks.
  • If the team could not stop any of the trucks, it counts as a defeat.
  • The battle takes place on the modified “Cursed mines” map.
  • Only vehicles from the “Armoured car” slot can participate in the battle.
  • For each battle, the player gets batteries as a reward.
Special challenges and rewards
Throughout the event, you will have access to a chain of 3 daily challenges:
  • Play the mode. Reward: “Military reserve” container.
  • Score 2000 points in the mode. Reward: “Stickers package” container. You may get new stickers “Dead hand” and “Sawed-off shotgun” from the container.
  • Deal 10000 damage to enemies in the mode. Reward: “Paints package” container. You may get a new paint “To Valhalla!” from the container.
Gift
During the event, a special gift will be available to everyone, which contains:
  • “Rogue” portrait.
  • Unique profile background.
  • Unique profile logo.
To receive the gift, you need to log in to the game during the event and click on the “Incoming gift!” message on the right side of the garage screen.

Crossout Day
Attention! The event will be available from May 30 to June 12 inclusive!
[expand type=details]
This year, we have updated the beloved “Crossout Day” brawl:
  • “Crossout Day” is a confrontation in the spirit of the “Free for All” brawl, where the player has no allies. Everyone around you is an enemy that needs to be destroyed; the more you take out, the better!
  • You can play the mode as part of a group of up to 4 people, but all players in the group will be enemies to each other.
  • The battle takes place on the maps “Sand harbour” and “Abandoned town”.
  • Players take part in the battle on preset vehicles, which can be extremely unusual. All armoured vehicles used in battle are the creations of our players and partners.
  • The brawl has respawns.
  • The resource (scrap metal) is rewarded in accordance with your placement. The amount of scrap metal obtained decreases if you place lower.
  • At the beginning of the battle and during each respawn, you can choose a vehicle to continue the battle: there will always be 3 random blueprints to choose from.
  • Points are awarded for the destruction of opponents and parts of enemy vehicles. Points for the destruction of the enemy also sum with the points for all the parts of their armoured vehicle at the time of destruction.
Special challenges and rewards
Throughout the event, you will have access to a chain of 2 daily challenges:
  • Complete 2 battles in the “Crossout Day” brawl. Reward: 80 Engineer badges.
  • Destroy or help destroy 30 enemies in the “Crossout Day” brawl. Reward: “Holiday essentials” container.
Crossout Anniversary Gift
During the “Crossout Day” event, each player will be able to receive a unique pack as a gift. Be sure to stop by the party to get your gift!

Special workbench with upgraded parts
During the “Crossout Day” event, you will have access to a special workbench where you can produce upgraded parts with pre-determined upgrades.

Every day, from May 30 to June 4, new offers will appear on the workbench: don’t miss them!

Hello, survivors!

Once again, let’s have a look at the thermal maps that show the places where your armored vehicles get destroyed most frequently in the fierce battles in the Wasteland. This time, we’ll analyze the “Powerplant”, “Orbital station” and “Volcano” maps.

Only real players are marked on the heat maps with no power point limits.

The “Powerplant” map and the hollow of death

This is a very tight and linear map with high overall density of destruction. But there is one spot that stands out: the hollow in the middle of the map. We don’t recommend venturing there. Too many survivors have already perished in that valley of death.

The “Orbital station” map and the wise strategy

Say what you like, but looking at the thermal activity on the “Orbital station” map leaves no doubt: this place forces players to think strategically. Sure, cars get destroyed a bit more often in the lower part of the location, but overall, the thermal activity is still distributed across the map in a fairly balanced way.

The “Volcano” map and the perilous pits

Upon examining the map closely, you can see some crossed out areas that players can’t access. Keep in mind that the “Volcano” map is a rather dangerous place because of the high chance of falling into the abyss. You can see that players are actively taking advantage of this opportunity. If you or your allies are trying to push the enemy off, remember: it’s safer to stay away from the pit edges. And use ramps at your own risk!

That is all for now. We have many more interesting thermal maps that we will share with you next time. Good luck in battles!

Hello, survivors!

For nine years now we have been building, fighting and destroying in the mad Wasteland. For all this time, Crossout has continued to evolve. And we don’t plan on stopping, so today we would like to share new information on the next update that coincides with the game’s anniversary. We note that this update is not the start of a new season, it will begin in June.

We remind you that all the new features described in the “Developer blog” are not final and may be changed before they are introduced into the game or may not make it into the game at all.

“Crossout Day” and “Mad chase” brawls

The “Crossout Day” returns for the anniversary of our project. Fight in the free for all battles on updated wild vehicles selected from the exhibition and earn unique rewards!

And then side with the Brotherhood in the PvE mode “Mad chase” to destroy the Lunatic trucks. But be careful: the convoys are protected by raiders armed to the teeth, and the trucks themselves can also fight back! Stop the marauders from crossing the Red rocks and getting away with the goods they stole, or you will lose.

“Omega Protocol” event and convenient changes
The new “Omega Protocol” event with reward scale will start at the end of May. It will bring various useful rewards. The more vicious the enemy becomes, the more he is driven into a corner. And Foxy learned this from experience.

In addition, we plan to make a number of other changes and improvements in the update, as well as fix some known bugs.

That is all for today. See you in the future devblog entries and news!

Part 1

Hello to both admirers and sworn enemies of the Ravagers!

Let’s continue to learn about what new features are coming in the new season. This information would be of the most interest, both for those who dare to use the technology that belonged to the enemy and for their opponents. Here we go!

We remind you that all the new features described in the “Developer blog” are not final and may be changed before they are introduced into the game or may not make it into the game at all. This applies not only to information about possible unique features of new parts, but also to the appearance of the parts themselves.

Heavy wheel and Heavy wheel ST

This hefty movement part of epic rarity combines fearsome appearance with superb parameters and predatory essence typical of Ravagers technology.

The new wheels have excellent tonnage, the best among all the other wheels and even on par with some of the tracks. Their massive structure will surely be a point to consider in a car design, especially for those who prefer light and fast vehicles. The mass of the part will be quite sizeable, which will be partly compensated by high durability and the ability to restore it by “devouring” your fallen enemies.

That’s right, we’re talking about the heart of the subject: the perk of the new movement part. Many of you are already familiar with the mechanic of restoring durability from car wrecks. With the new wheels, there will be new ways to use it and make your armoured car very hard to immobilize. Each enemy wreck near you will “nourish” the movement parts and help restore their durability. You just need to set up reliable fire support (from your allies or yourself) to be able to destroy enemies, and the issue of losing movement should never bother you again.

Spider drone

Brace yourselves, arachnophobes! You may have gotten used to large spider-like armoured vehicles, but how about small nimble spider drones? We’re certain that an encounter with a brood of those opponents will leave nobody unfazed.

The new weapon is of epic rarity. The parameters of the module are not much different from other drone launchers you’re already familiar with. But it is not the “box” that matters; it’s what is inside of it.

Each module carries several spider drones fitted with a miniature version of the “Gerrida” mechanical legs. The drones can move at high speed; they hit hard and can heat up the parts of an opponent’s vehicle using “Aurora”. They’re very maneuverable and can rapidly switch their position. Did you think you can just swat them like some annoying flies? Think again.

If you destroy one of the drones, the cooldown time of the module significantly reduces, allowing the owner to launch a new drone twice as fast. Additionally, the new drone will be more tenacious and dangerous: its damage and the parts heating up speed will increase quite a bit.

New cabin

A heavy cabin of legendary rarity with a good form factor (10x8x5) and peculiar appearance.

Its parameters fit quite well in the line of existing cabins. The tonnage and mass limit of the new cabin exceed those of “Yokozuna”, the “lightest” of all cabins. It will become a good competitor to “Cohort”. This comparison is no accident: the perk of the new cabin will be very familiar to those who already used those cabins in battle.

The perk activates a timed bonus and launches up to 3 drones that follow nearby allies. But while “Yokozuna” bonus affects power and speed and “Cohort” boosts damage resistance, the new cabin will increase something you can forgive a lot for: the damage of your weapons. Hardly anyone will be able to say no to such a bonus, so get ready to become a very valuable ally in any battle!

New structural parts

That’s all for today. See you in the final blog post on the new season! To make waiting for it easier, we will give a small hint: expect 2 new weapons and additional structural parts.

Hello, survivors!

We got our hands on some pretty curious intelligence: thermal maps that show where exactly your armoured vehicles get blown to pieces during the heated battles in the Wasteland. We’ve already analyzed them and would like to share our findings. We hope it’ll be interesting for you!

The “Bridge” map and the attraction of the south

For some inexplicable reason, players most frequently drive to the southern part of the map. As you can see, the most heated battles usually take place in the lower part of the location, causing a lot of destruction there. The northern part of the map has much less activity.

The “Broken arrow” map and the fever

Most of the maps in Crossout are designed to prompt players to drive towards the center of the map and fight there. The “Broken arrow” map is a perfect example of this. The destruction count in the middle of the map is so high that most of it is painted red. Not many survivors decide to bypass the hot spot.

The “Sandy gulf” map and the total carnage

Other locations showed some points of concentration of destruction. But judging from the heat levels, the “Sandy gulf” offers no place to hide. Cars get destroyed all over this map. Take great care in this dangerous place!

That is all for now. We have many more interesting thermal maps that we will share with you next time. Good luck in battles!

Hello!

There’s less than one month left until summer, and most importantly, until the start of the new season in Crossout!

As usual, we will publish new developer blog entries in May to tell you everything about the new season and which specific features you can expect. And may the Oracle have mercy on us for revealing all the secrets that early.

But apart from reading the blog, there will be plenty to do in May! In the heat of fierce battles of the “Judgment night”, don’t forget that you need to save your strength for the “Crossout Day” celebration. There will be plenty of surprises: we are preparing something else in addition to the familiar brawl. Fans of high-speed chases and firefights will love it!

You can download this and other artworks from the “Wallpapers” section on our official website.

Hello!

Today we start a series of texts about the upcoming season. Some of you may have already noticed from the title of this blog that the season will be dedicated to one of the favorite topics among the survivors — the Ravagers. This season will bring the conclusion to the fight of Valley residents against Lloyd and his machines. It’s still a month before we see the final, so let’s not spoil anything and start by taking a look at some of the new features.

We remind you that all the new features described in the “Developer blog” are not final and may be changed before they are introduced into the game or may not make it into the game at all. This applies not only to information about possible unique features of new parts, but also to the appearance of the parts themselves.

Legendary recharge booster

This highly useful module will become the last in the line of boosters from “KA-1 Discharger” to “KA-2 Flywheel” and will provide you with an opportunity to make your armoured car reach the next level of efficiency.

Basic parameters of the booster are higher than those of lower rarities boosters, since it’s designed primarily for high-level battles between powerful vehicles. The form factor is also very convenient: its practical size (6x4x2) allows it to be installed on almost any high-level build.

But let’s turn our attention to the main feature of the module — its perk. It will make you into an increasingly dangerous opponent the more damage you take. Depending on how much durability your weapons have left, the module will boost their recharge even further, up to a certain value. The less durability they have, the higher their recharge rate will be and the more irreparable damage you can inflict on your enemies in retaliation.

Legendary radiator

One of the most exciting parts the new season has in store is the logical conclusion to the line of radiators and coolers that gives a final answer to the everlasting wonder of “which one should I choose?”. As does the recharge booster, the radiator features a convenient form factor, being not that far off the familiar “RN Seal” (6x1x4) in terms of size. It is a universal module that can both increase the time until the weapons overheat and speed up their cooldown.

The versatility of the module and its parameters are not everything it has in store for you. A well-thought-out build geared towards the use of the module’s perk and its skillful execution will be rewarded with an additional bonus: the longer you conduct continuous fire, the higher the additional cooldown speed for all weapons will be upon the next overheat (up to a certain value).

So, by building an armoured car that is capable of continuous fire for as long as possible, you will also automatically speed up the cooling of any weapons that may overheat.

New structural parts

And all of this is only the beginning! See you in the next devblog entry (unless the Ravagers intercept it)!

Hello!

Today we would like to share the three winning works of the latest “Clash of engineers”. The authors of these entries will soon get their rewards of 10000 in-game coins.

But first we would like to remind you that according to the rules of the “Clash”, any vehicle that meets the minimum requirements of the contest can participate in the prize drawing for in-game rewards (in this case, the minimum requirement is the use of the “Sabbath” movement part). But only the vehicles that meet the full list of contest requirements (including the PS limit, rarity of parts used in the build, etc.) can participate in the prize drawing for in-game coins.

In accordance with the rules of the contest, we chose the three winners. At least one of these vehicles will be added to the in-game store at some point.

  • PC — “FX24 FOLK HERO” by slip29

  • PS — “FX24 JACKAL” by Exeter

  • XBOX — “FX24 The Oni” by EvilBunny 666

Congratulations to the winners! Your rewards will be added to your accounts within 14 working days from the moment of this announcement.
