The new season is getting closer! It’s time for the third part of our devblog!
Today we will show you a new melee weapon, a new structural part, as well as a new relic weapon, that, while not included in the season and Battle pass, will still appear in the game with the upcoming update.
We remind you that all the new features described in the “Developer blog” are not final and may be changed before they are introduced into the game or may not make it into the game at all. This applies not only to information about possible unique features of new parts, but also to the appearance of the parts themselves.
New melee weapon “Charybdis”
In the storages of the Dawn’s children, there have always been many tools that couldn’t be adapted for close-range combat. Riley was able to optimize some of these parts with the help of the Ravager analysis module. And after that, the armoured vehicles of the scientists finally became dangerous in close combat as well.
The legendary version of the already familiar “Buzzsaw” can become a real revelation not only for fans of stealth gameplay, but also for their victims, who will have to armour the rears of their cars more carefully and monitor the movements of their enemies.
The new contact weapon is many times lighter than “Harvester”, which can be a powerful argument for mobile vehicles that rely solely on speed and stealth. A smaller mass is inevitably associated with a lesser durability, but the ratio will be quite curious. And when you see the perk of the new saw, you will immediately understand that high durability is not the most important thing for such a weapon. “Charybdis” is not intended for head-on collisions.
When approaching an enemy from the rear closer than a certain distance, “Charybdis” will release additional blades, increasing the contact area with the enemy, but reducing the inflicted damage. And even after these conditions are broken, the additional blades will continue to deal damage over a larger area for a while longer. Those who let themselves get carried away and let you get close enough will probably no longer be able to escape without the help of their allies.
New structural parts
Mars rover part “Mounting bracket”
An interesting part that will find its use on your armoured vehicle: it has a good ratio of mass and durability, increases in the armoured vehicle’s durability and lets some of the incoming damage pass through.
New relic weapon “RL-9 Helicon”
Please note that the new relic weapon will not be a part of the new season and Battle pass! The part is included in a series of devblogs, because it will appear in the game in the same update as the new season.
Old military storages never fail to delight the Steppenwolfs with the weapons that were once conserved. Even Major Stahl occasionally jokes that there have long been more weapons in the world than people.
When will the relic rocket launcher finally appear in the game? Already with the upcoming update! Meet “RL-9 Helicon”!
Each salvo launches a burst of 3 projectiles of different types: the first is armour-piercing, the second is incendiary, and the third is an explosive one. As you can guess, the rocket launcher is quite demanding on your skills and attack planning, but it will abundantly reward you for your efforts if all three rockets hit the enemy.
And don’t let the weapon’s resemblance with “Waltz” confuse you: the rockets of “Helicon” fly on a ballistic trajectory, just like the rockets of standard rocket launchers.
The longer the rockets are in flight, the better their characteristics become: damage, impulse and blast radius receive good bonuses that reach their maximum level after only half a second of flight.
We encourage everyone to take a closer look at “Helicon”: two rocket launchers mounted on an armoured vehicle can change the balance of power on the battlefield. We’ll see you at the final part of our devblog, survivors! We can expect a rather atypical movement part for the Dawn’s children, as well as a few more structural parts. It’s time for another new PvP mission — “Squad battle (Storm)”. The mode is similar to the familiar “Squad battle”, but, in a raging storm, all the usual circumstances can change!
Attention! The mission will be available from May 15 to May 24 inclusive (until 23:59 GMT on May 24). This is a temporary PvP mode where you will get a chance to try out a different battle format. Its future will largely depend on your feedback and suggestions. Please share your impressions with us in the discussion and take part in the in-game survey (will be available some time after the launch of the mission). In the future, other missions with unusual formats and rules may be launched in Crossout.
Squad battle (Storm)
Three teams of three survivors participate in the mission at the same time (it’s possible to change the maximum number of people in a team, if necessary).
You can participate in the “Squad battle” missions as part of a group (up to 3 players).
The objective is to destroy two enemy teams before the time allotted for the battle expires.
Some time after the start of the battle, a storm begins, which will gradually spread over a larger and larger area of the location and reduce the space for maneuvering.
The team that destroys all enemies (or whose participant survives the longest) wins.
Scrap metal is issued as a reward in this mode. In the future, if the mode is included in the permanent mission rotation, the reward may be changed. For more information on Crossout, follow these channels:

Today we are going to present you the new legendary cabin and tell you about its features, as well as share information about the changes for the existing tracks and certain cabins in the game.
We remind you that all the new features described in the “Developer blog” are not final and may be changed before they are introduced into the game or may not make it into the game at all. This applies not only to information about possible unique features of new parts, but also to the appearance of the parts themselves.
Light cabin “Kronos”
Thanks to the documentation of the Waderkvarn corporation found in one of their laboratories, the Dawn’s children were able to master the control modules of the Ravagers and soon began to use them for their own purposes.
Just one look at the new cabin will be enough for many survivors to want it in their collection. The mysterious technologies of the Ravagers and the refined style of the Dawn’s children create the perfect combination.
Among the legendary cabins of the “light” type, “Kronos” is the lightest one. This is reflected in the smaller mass and durability, slightly lower tonnage and mass limit, and excellent speed — this will be the fastest cabin in Crossout at the time of the update’s release. But even this won’t be the most important aspect, because “Kronos” will have a lot of power nodes, which will be connected to the cabin’s perk.
The cabin is able to gradually restore the durability of parts that are attached to its power nodes. For this, it has a limited resource, which is spent during the perk’s activation. Once the restoration resource is depleted, the perk will be disabled until cooldown. You can manually control the restoration process and enable/disable while there are available charges left. The perk is recharged by the armoured car wrecks located in front of your car (regardless if they are friendly or hostile). If you take damage during this time, then the accumulation of the perk’s charges will slow down.
Planned changes to tracks and certain cabins
Tracks
We plan to add perks for all tracks in the game:
Small track
At a speed of no less than a certain value, the spread of the weapons mounted on the vehicle will be reduced. If there are other movement parts mounted on the car, the spread reduction bonus will decrease in proportion to their amount.
Sleipnir
The track will increase the weapon rotation speed by a certain amount. If there are other movement parts mounted on the car, the rotation speed bonus will decrease in proportion to their amount.
Reinforced track
Each “Reinforced track” mounted on the car will increase the durability of all the same tracks on the vehicle by a certain amount.
Tank track
After losing a certain amount of the armoured car’s durability, its speed and power will increase. The perk will only work if there are no other movement parts mounted on the car.
Armoured track
When the player is within a certain radius of a certain number of opponents, the damage protection of his structural parts increases.
Goliath
Parts attached to the track will receive a durability bonus.
Cabins
Hot Rod
Cabin type changed from “medium” to “light”.
Cabin rarity increased to “special”.
PS increased from 750 to 1300.
Maximum cabin speed increased from 80 to 90 km/h.

MP increased from 1500 to 1800.
In addition to the above changes, we also plan to add a new projectile damage mechanic to the game. You can find all the details in our announcement by following the link. The final version may have a number of changes relative to the test version.
That’s all for today. And in the following parts of the blog, we will continue to talk about new parts of the season (and not only the season). See you soon! For more information on Crossout, follow these channels:

The closer we get to the end of the current “Polar lights” season, the more questions we receive about the novelties of the next season. Today we are starting to share with you the details about the new parts that are coming to Wasteland next month. Let’s go!
We remind you that all the new features described in the “Developer blog” are not final and may be changed before they are introduced into the game or may not make it into the game at all. This applies not only to information about possible unique features of new parts, but also to the appearance of the parts themselves.
Legendary engine “Pegasus”
The unique development of the Dawn’s children — the first engine of legendary rarity in the Wasteland!
The Dawn’s children have spent hundreds of hours studying the archives of the Waderkvarn corporation searching for a way to control the Ravagers. Although the scientists never succeeded in achieving this goal, they realized that in some cases, cooperation can produce far more results than attempts to subjugate.
Compared to other “epic” engines, “Pegasus” features an increased bonus to the vehicle’s mass limit and gives a good increase in cabin power.
Keep in mind — this is the most massive engine, comparable in size and exceeding the mass of the previous record holders, “Golden eagle” and “Oppressor”. As we already know, more mass almost always means more durability, and here the creators of “Pegasus” didn’t disappoint — it’s not only the heaviest, but also the most durable engine of the Wasteland.
But the main feature of this miracle of engineering is its perk, which will reduce the total power consumption from movement parts mounted on the car. Thanks to this, you can install more movement parts on the vehicle or save its power and increase acceleration.
Legendary rail accelerator “Thyrsus I”
It’s quite natural that the technologies of the Ravagers give their owner an advantage on the battlefield. But how exactly this happens still remains a mystery for many. The main thing is that it works.
The high-tech (as technologically advanced as possible) production of the Dawn’s children doesn’t stand still. With Riley’s approval, their latest development, the rail accelerator “Thyrsus I”, is going to the Valley directly from the laboratories.
First of all, we should note the energy consumption of the new brainchild of the scientists. The creators of “Thyrsus” were definitely looking up to “Kaiju” and “Avalanche”. The new rail accelerator didn’t reach their levels just a bit and consumes an impressive 11 units of energy. What do we get by paying such a price?
Great accuracy. Do you like the accuracy of “Adapter”, “Scorpion” or “Astraeus”? Then you won’t be disappointed.
Massive damage in a short amount of time. During its volley, “Thyrsus” launches multiple projectiles at once, which fly out one after another and quickly reach the enemy. But what if the enemy is mobile and not all projectiles reach their target? They will be taken care of as well.
Great perk that speeds up the volley. While the perk is active, all projectiles fly out instantly and reach the target just as quickly. This consumes special charges, which are accumulated while being near the wrecks of armoured cars (up to 5). The more wrecks there are nearby, the faster the charges accumulate. The battle begins with already accumulated charges, so it will only be a matter of time before you have new wrecks for recharging.
New structural parts
In this series of development blogs, we will also reveal new structural parts. In this particular blog, we would like to show you 2 parts: “Impact bumper” and “Cutter”. What do you think about the new parts? Do you have any ideas about what else might be included in the new season? Share your suggestions in the comments, and we’ll see you in the next part of the blog! For more information on Crossout, follow these channels:
We are updating the range of rewards that can be obtained by recycling unneeded decor from your storage.
“Titanic”, “Damage Counter”, “Buzzer”, “Large speaker”, “Pull Over” and other tradable decorative items will be available in recycling only from 07:00 GMT on May 2 until 23:59 GMT on May 4.
We remind you that you can use unneeded decor from your storage for recycling. The higher the rarity of the used decor, the higher your chance of getting the rarest rewards. For more information on Crossout, follow these channels:
Who will emerge victorious from this confrontation?
Just like on the battlefields of Crossout, the “Spring mayhem” is raging with all its might on the May artwork. Survivors from all over the Wasteland fight for glory and valuable containers with parts on helicopters, walking tanks and artillery vehicles. Who will become the best of the best? We will find out in the first half of the month.
What else awaits us in May? You certainly won’t be bored! At the beginning of the month, we will begin to introduce the novelties of the next season in the traditional series of development blogs. In anticipation of the new season, we will celebrate the anniversary of the Wasteland and Crossout with a special event, as well as fight in a new experimental PvP mission.
You can download these and other artworks from the “Wallpapers” section on our official website. For more information on Crossout, follow these channels:
