[Devblog] New season in Crossout. Part 3

Hello, survivors!

If you are looking forward to the new season and learning about new parts for armoured vehicles and cosmetic items, then join us! In this blog, we will briefly talk about some of the changes and fixes in the upcoming update, as well as show new customization kits and structural parts.

We remind you that all the new features described in the “Developer blog” are not final and may be changed before they are introduced into the game or may not make it into the game at all.

Special game mode

The new season will also have a special game mode! Only this time we decided to step away from the battles with raiders and the Ravagers. Now you are the Ravagers!

The new mode will offer a PvP brawl, in which a team of 10 survivors in their own armoured vehicles will be confronted by two players, playing as the Ravagers on pre-set vehicles. The task seems to be easy, doesn’t it?

Certainly not! The objective of the survivors will be to get to the end of the map created specifically for this mode, while completing their tasks and avoiding contact with vehicles of the Ravager-players. Couldn’t destroy the enemy before he bumped into you? Welcome to the Ravager team! Now until the end of the brawl, you will try to “infect” as many of your former allies as possible.

The Ravager vehicles cannot be permanently destroyed. After each destruction, they respawn on the location and continue their hunt. Thus, survivors will never feel safe. Their ranks will inevitably diminish, and the ranks of the opposing team will be replenished.

New CKs

The next season will also include a number of new CKs. This time we will offer you two completely new CKs for “Caucasus” and “Helios”. It seems that the Ravagers had something to do with it!

New structural parts

We also invite you to take a look at some of the new structural parts. We're sure that experienced engineers have already figured out a way to use these parts with a maximum benefit for their builds. And yes, this is not all the “structurals” that will be presented in the season.

Another new part for the armoured vehicle

You can expect one more new part for the armoured car in the new season. Unfortunately, the Engineers do not allow to reveal details about this secret development yet, but we are sure that you will not be disappointed! So far, we can only say that a part of this type and rarity has been anticipated by many. This part will also incorporate new mechanics with special welding points, which will be called “power nodes”.

Miscellaneous

Now let’s take a quick look at the other changes and fixes from the next update. It is possible that some of the following points will answer your questions and requests from forums and social networks. So, in the update we plan to:

Return the “Old Town”, “Founders Canyon” and “Bridge” maps to the clan battles rotation. We tried to make the best use of all available information regarding unstable frame rates on these locations and optimized these maps as much as possible, so that the outcome of each clan battle depends only on the vehicles and skills of their owners.
Add a display of melee weapon zones that deal damage to the building mode.
Fix a bug with non-functional welding points on the “Goliath” tracks.
Fix a bug with the incorrect work of the “Quantum” cabin’s perk.
Optimize the environmental objects which could cause an armoured vehicle to get stuck on a number of maps.
Fix a bug that prevented the enemies from appearing in the “Data theft” raid.

[Contest] ‘Rebuild in Crossout!’ (17 of November - 23 of November)

Once Scar AB found an old magazine with images of cars that existed before the events of Crossout, and now he wants to assemble a collection of such cars. Many cars in this world are gone, and so survivors are invited to assemble a car similar to the one depicted in the photo.

The 3 best entries will be selected in two groups, and their authors will receive a reward of 300 coins and an epic "Amusement container" (first group) and 100 coins and an epic "Amusement container" (second group)!

[Announcement] The “Enemy of my enemy” season will soon be over!

Hello, survivors!

We’d like to remind you that the current “Enemy of my enemy” season will end on all platforms this Sunday. After the end of the season, you will no longer be able to increase your level and unlock those battle pass cells that remained blocked. Daily and weekly season challenges will also be unavailable.

In case you haven’t managed to increase your season level to the maximum yet, there’s still some time left! Complete daily and accumulated weekly challenges and get all available rewards! You can also increase your current level in the event with a special pack “Battle pass level”, while both standard and elite battle passes will allow you to receive all the additional rewards you’ve unlocked.

This week we’re going to share with you the last part of the devblog. Then you’ll be free to prepare for the next season which is going to start pretty soon!

Game “Who’s the best Mandrake shooter?”

Hello, survivors!

Our intelligence reports that groups of raiders have established their bases somewhere on the Blood Rocks territory. They are gathering their forces to attack the Valley. The map also contains positions of the mobile raider squads. The situation is made worse by the fact that two ringleaders are in charge of all attack preparations, and their whereabouts are also unknown. You have only one “Mandrake” at your disposal. You can fire at any point on the map. Your task is to guess where exactly the bases, units or ringleaders are located.

Here are the rules:

This game is a variation of the well-known “Battleship” game, where participants need to name the coordinates of the point where they think the target is located.
These coordinates are located on the intersection of the two axes of the playing field. For instance: G7 or E10
Each base, mobile unit or ringleader occupies 1 cell of the playing field. All in all, there are 2 bases, 2 mobile units and 2 ringleaders hidden on the playing field.
Targets can be located on ANY cell of the field.
In order to make a shot, you need to write the coordinate of the selected point, as well as your game nickname and the platform on which you play as a comment to this post.
1 comment - 1 coordinate.
Each player can make a shot only 2 times.
The game will last until most of the targets are destroyed.
When most of the targets are destroyed, we will reveal their location.
The player who first guessed the target’s coordinates in the comments is the one who destroyed it. All subsequent hits on targets that have already been destroyed are not counted.
If the participant guesses the coordinates of two different targets, then he will receive both rewards. If a participant guesses the location of two bases, two mobile units or both ringleaders, the reward will be issued only for 1 hit. Destruction of the second target of the same kind will not be counted.
For the precise hit on the ringleader the player is rewarded with 3 “Amusement containers” and 7 days of premium subscription.
For the precise hit on the base, the player is rewarded with 3 “Builder’s containers” and 7 days of premium subscription.
For the precise hit on the mobile unit of the raiders the player is rewarded with 3 “Builder's containers” and 3 days of premium subscription.
Ends on: 17.11, 00:00 GMT. Results will be published on 17.11.

[Contest] Lunatics’ Car

Who is the most fearless in the Wasteland? Lunatics! Who is the fastest in the Wasteland? Lunatics! Who is the craziest in the Wasteland? Lunatics! They are the hounds of chaos, taking on enemies with numbers in fierce contact battles. They're good at close-range combat with weapons of all kinds, and their defence is speed, not armour.

Lunatics' vehicles are typically fast, they have fast cabins, weapons with up-close killing power and lightweight tubular designs. Build one that even Psycho Pete would love!

Assignment: Assemble a vehicle that can be related to the Lunatics' faction.

Prizes: Authors of the best 3 entries will receive a reward of 500 coins and an epic "Amusement container".

Entry admission ends on: 22.11, 17:00 GMT. Results will be published on 24.11.
