Today, as usual, we would like to share the latest information on the upcoming update, confirm a number of guesses and dispel some doubts.
We remind you that all the new features described in the “Developer blog” are not final and may be changed before they are introduced into the game or may not make it into the game at all.
Dronapocalypse
Dronapocalypse will break out again in the Wasteland closer to April, and already familiar drones will acquire a new company! Don’t miss this event: when else can you become a drone fighting not only with your own kind and a powerful leviathan, but also with your own weapon and its recoil?
By the way, not only the list of available drones will be updated, but also the leviathans themselves and even the location where the battle takes place: new covers and trampolines will be added. Just what is needed for the fast drones and crazy maneuvers!
What else is planned for the next update:
There are rumours here and there of an unknown new survivor scouting the Valley in an armoured car very similar to Syndicate vehicles. Who is he: a member of the new faction or someone pursuing his own goals? We’ll find out soon.
What? What new garage?!..
***
In the upcoming update, we plan to launch the ability of selecting a vehicle in clan battles. The choice will be limited to three pre-saved vehicles, and you can change them at the beginning of each next round. We remind you that this is an experimental mechanics based on a number of your suggestions.
We will closely monitor how clan battles change and make a final decision on the future of this mechanics based on the results of the observation.
***
In one of the nearest updates we are going to solve a fairly frequent issue of using wheels that do not touch the ground — on vehicles with hovers. We are not ready to share the details yet, but we will do so as soon as the variant of changes is close to the final one.
Looking into the future
As part of this blog, we would also like to share plans for the future of brawls. Here by brawls we mean those regular modes that are launched one after the other according to a previously known schedule: “Big black scorpions”, “Race”, etc.
Attention! At the moment, the changes in brawls do not have a specific scheduled date. For now we share our thoughts and plans with you, but the final version can be changed or be completely reworked. We will share additional information with you closer to the implementation of any changes.
We have always paid attention to your comments regarding the schedule and its variations over the entire existence of the game, as well as studied incoming suggestions at the same time. The following conclusions were drawn:
The very concept of the schedule, given the many time zones and the number of brawls, is bound to be uncomfortable for a number of players.
During weekdays, not all of the players have the opportunity to participate in the brawl, even if its time window doesn’t occur during night or early morning.
The current number of regular brawls is too big. We would like to concentrate and develop those modes that the players would want to return to again and again because of the unique gameplay.
What is planned to be done?
Reduce the number of regular brawls and leave only those modes that are most popular among players.
Turn brawls into weekend activities: each weekend, one of the brawls will be launched and will be available without interruptions during Saturday and Sunday.
Add unique and/or useful rewards for the player for winning in the brawl. It is quite possible that part of rewards can be obtained only in brawls.
This way, on weekends, you will always have the opportunity to participate in your favorite brawl at a convenient time, and receive a good reward for your efforts. And on weekdays when there may not be much time - to concentrate on “Missions” and “Raids”. What do you think about it? Share your opinion in the discussion!
That’s all for today. See you in future blogs and other news!

You can find the second part of the story and a link to the 1st one here.
Heaven’s Blade, the youngest Lieutenant of the Syndicate, stood with his back to a huge digital screen with a map of the Valley and surrounding Wasteland. The electrically charged air in the main headquarters of the “Dragons” was faintly humming. Cold blue glare of neon boards flickered across the walls, climbing to the thirty-first floor. A search beacon was blinking on the map behind the commander – somewhere between the Lost Coast and the nameless desert.
– It didn’t move for seven hours and twenty-three minutes, - Nobuko, a live information hub of the Outpost reported. The Elders encouraged her obsession with data analysis, statistics and fact-finding. – This is quadrant E6. I’ve already calculated the coordinates and plotted the route.
Agent Ichiro just glanced at the screen. Stuck in a silent half-bow, he waited for the Lieutenant to address him.
– Ichiro, said the Heaven’s Blade. – How fast can you get there?
– With our engines, it’s possible to get there in four hours. If there are no stops, that is. But you know, Commander, I never stop, – Ichiro bowed his head even lower.
– It is true, – the Lieutenant nodded. – You’re going right now. Don’t let the target fall off the radar, and the rest will prepare an ambush. But you have to be careful, I don’t rule out the possibility that they want to throw us off the trail. Although the old man gave up this lab in the mines, he warned the real Lloyd right away.
Ichiro remembered the operation below the ruined base of the Ravagers in detail. Then, together with the technicians, scouts and other agents of the Syndicate, he descended into a sinister abyss with an almost hopeless task – to find traces of human presence in a deaf maze. At the bottom of monstrous mines, the remains of hundreds of armoured vehicles rusted - who would have thought there was a secret passage hidden in this cemetery?
– We’re too late, – the Lieutenant nodded, as if reading the agent’s thoughts. – Lloyd escaped, taking or destroying the most valuable developments. And as a small gift, he left a mocking hologram from Caligari.
Hearing the name of the tramp who stood in the way of the clan, Ichiro tightly clenched his fists. It was as if a bubble of concentrated anger had burst in the fighter’s chest.
– Circusman is out of his mind! – he blurted out. – Lieutenant, allow me to respond to the insult. I’ll find the bastard on the edge of the world and show you how games with the Dragon end.
– We’ll deal with Caligary later, – Heaven’s Blade replied. – No one’s tricks should bother the Syndicate for a second before we capture the core. Why should I remind you of that? We have a lot less time than I thought. Nobuko, read the conclusions from Lloyd’s lab research report.
Nobuko blinked, activating the neuro-optical module, with which she did not part even in her sleep.
– “On the basis of the materials obtained, it should be concluded that the impact of technology suppresses the highest functions of the human brain responsible for the mental perception of reality. Cognitive disorders, amnesia, the breakdown of thought processes and emotional reactions are far from a complete list of these destructive effects”, – she quoted in an impassioned voice. – “The study of the detected prototypes proves the existence of enhanced models of the Ravagers equipped with plasma weapons, bulletproof shields and jet engines that allow the devices to move around any type of terrain”.
– Enough, – the Lieutenant frowned. – not a fool; if he’s back in the den, then there’s been a reason for that. We must prevent him from executing his plans. What exactly does he have in mind? Find it out, Ichiro.
A loyal Syndicate agent bowed down again. He stepped out into the elevator hall and went down in a glass cabin. At the level of the twelfth floor, the elevator passed near the monorail track – a train was running along it with a wild rumble, carving cascades of jumping sparks. Ichiro smiled under the mask and launched the engine of his armoured car, which was only one of the abilities of the implant embedded in the brain. Four hours of crazy off-road sprint awaited ahead – what could be better for the racer and his car?
Along the way, Ichiro was tracking the beacon on the portable screen. He continued to hover in one spot, although, according to the information from the sensors, the subject of surveillance still didn’t get rid of the tracking module. Leaving the lab in the mines, the Syndicate technicians set up a couple of entrance traps and abandoned things by Lloyd – a few days ago one of them gave a signal. That means someone snuck through the deposits of dead machinery and got the “bug”...
At the end of the fourth hour, Ichiro reached the old sand quarries in the north-west of the Valley. Having launched the drone, he leaned back on the seat: thanks to the augmentation features, the image from the cameras was broadcast on the retina. The agent lifted the device high above the dull landscape, scanning rusty loader hulls and tower crane ruins. And on the other side of the quarry he noticed a strange structure for this landscape.
– Commander, I’m in position. I see a couple dozen hitched trucks. Redesigned from the fuselages of obsolete aircrafts. There are fuel depots, towers, solar panels... Incredible, it is a mobile town!
Ichiro directed the module to the settlement to take its picture from above. But when the drone approached the trucks, as a sudden flash flashed - the device vibrated and exploded with a loud clap. The agent was blinded for a second, but managed to save a backup copy of the data. Shaking his head, he opened the door of the armoured car.
– Lieutenant, the target is inside the city. Whoever it is, they have an air defense unit. I’ll take a walk and see what is up. To all other participants of operation – do not get involved without a signal.
Ichiro once again inspected the trucks in infrared binoculars, noting the radiation sources and curiously evaluating the details. The town didn’t look like a simple caravan. More like an autonomous “island” made of aluminum and kevlar. Wingless capsules of liners and jet fighters were “sitting” on tracks and truck wheels – it seemed both resourceful and absurd. Machine gun muzzles moved from the roofs of mobile buildings – it would not have been easy to take the “island” by storm.
– Come on, show me your weak spot, – muttered Ichiro, clinging to his oculars.
A few minutes later, the agent smirked mysteriously.
– That’s what I thought... The dragon knows how to search.

This is Alex Murch, the Voice of the Wasteland and strange quotes.
Why do I stand up here? Anybody? I stand near my pantry to remind myself that we must constantly look at things in a different way. And because you chose it as a surveillance target. You see, the world looks different here. Don’t believe me? Try it yourself. The moment you think you know something, you need to look at it differently, even if it seems stupid or ridiculous. Just come to the pantry and look into it as if you are the pantry!
Do you remember these words? It doesn’t matter. But, actually, it does! They say I made them up. But no, they’re definitely from somewhere. Tell me if you remember. In the meantime, let’s get down to business.
You chose the pantry — I looked into the pantry. All this time. With breaks for sleep, lunch and to “ride so that there is a smell of burnt rubber and gunpowder left behind you”. I didn’t see anything at first. On the third day I noticed a spider. The usual one, with legs. But on the seventh day I realized... I realized that I would never see anything. The pantry is empty. The mission was completed due to its uselessness. But I can’t do without the filler options in the surveys, I have to offer something else and hope that this time it won’t be wasted. Behind all this “awesome” pastime activity I even missed the moment when our new Wasteland inhabitants descended from the mountain. And when I came to town, I spent a long time trying to figure out what was going on. Yes, the guys did a great job. It feels like they’ve always lived here. They assimilated rather quickly. Meanwhile, in dark alleyways, they already bet on who will arrive next to declare the rights to the territory and consider themselves to be “a new faction which cannot be defeated”.
But during the trip I managed to talk and exchange some pictures with my contact. Yeah, you missed the moment when the letters changed to contacts. I’ll tell you more sometime, but not now. So while he was lying about someone in blue windings with runes on his face, I looked at a photo in which everything was fine, and the smile didn’t come off my face. It’s gonna be fun soon. And I love fun. Certainly more than looking in the pantry all day long at the whim of my readers! And now that I’ve told you everything I wanted, let’s develop our interactive experience a little bit. What should I do for the next issue of “The Voice of the Wasteland”?
Find the stranger in blue windings;
Write to Vala;
Hand over 150 coins to three random commentators of this news;
Upgrade my armoured car;
Sunbathe on the roof.
