Fishing Planet - Dennis_FP
Dear players,

We have prepared a huge bug fix patch for you today.
We’ve taken your feedback into account regarding XP and credits for fish in Kaiji No Ri and have made some adjustments. The prices for fish have increased, and you'll now earn more XP when trolling with saltwater gear. XP in Fishing Together sessions has also been boosted - the more players on the boat, the more XP each of you will receive. Additionally, don’t forget that you get an XP bonus when fishing with your club mates, so fishing with them on the same boat is always a win-win.

We’ve also modified the fish fights, making it easier to reel in big catches faster, and as a result allowing you to gain more XP in less time.

After receiving feedback about the Fishing Together Mastering Missions being too difficult, we've made some adjustments to make them more achievable. The amounts of fish needed to catch in all three missions have been reduced. The name of the mission "Fishing Together Hunt: Plugs" was changed to "Fishing Together Hunt: Trolling", and plugs are no longer required lures for completing the mission, now you can use any trolling lures of your choice.

Here’s a detailed list of what’s been fixed and improved:
1. Fixed the character appearing in the water after reconnecting the Fishing Together session host in the game. Yes, the drowning guy has been finally rescued! 😁
2.Fixed the issue of disappearing reel sounds in Japan.
3. Addressed the issue of birds' sounds playing incorrectly.
4. Corrected the issue of no drag sound when the rod is on the stand.
5. Adjusted the sound effects for whales and dolphins in Japan.
6. Fixed the sounds for the character’s footsteps in Japan.
7. Fixed a bug in the tutorial mission when interacting with the worm pile.
8. Resolved an issue where a player would be teleported to the boat dock after disembarking from a boat in Mongolia.
9. Fixed FPS drops in Mongolia when looking at the Nomadic camp from various locations.
10. Fixed kayak exploit when reeling in big fish.
11. Corrected the overly bright appearance of the White Sturgeon fish.
12. Fixed a bug of a character sliding over the ground in a boat.
13. In rod selection mode, the bait icon was incorrectly displayed with the rod stand icon and labeled as EMPTY HANDS.
14. Fixed the issue where the twitching indicator was lagging.
15. Fixed the credits for caught fish not displayed in the "Time is up" window when the competition ended while the player was offline.
16. Fixed a freeze that occurred during the purchase of a license if the waterway was unlocked early.
17. Corrected the slingshot shooting animation in third-person view.
18. Fixed water waves appearing in the middle of a sand island in Japan.
19. Fixed the issue where the button to collapse/expand the tournament/competition participants table was missing.
20. Resolved the pop-up "Selected room has not been found..." appearing every time when entering the waterway after a competition ended.

22. Fixed the right part of the rental yacht’s windscreen incorrectly lit blue.
23. Corrected continuous splashing sounds nearby even at a significant distance from the fish jumping out of the water.
24. Fixed an issue where the fish would spin around when hooked on a gaff.
25. Added information about broken items in the "Stay ended" window.

Dear Players,
We have some important information for those participating in the Independence Trout Open 2024. We received a few questions and want to clarify things for everyone.

Firstly, some players couldn't join the Tournament today because they couldn't find the Join button. Recent UI changes have altered its appearance. Please see the attached screenshot for a demonstration of the new layout. You can still participate in Q2 and Q3, and we hope this resolves any difficulties.

Secondly, there have been changes to some Tournament conditions compared to last year. This time, only spinning and casting rod setups can be used in the Tournament. In the Tackle Types section, we listed Barbless Jig Heads, Barbless Hooks, Barbless Spoons, and Barbless Spinners. Some players pointed out that Barbless Hooks can't be used with Spinning and Casting Rods. You are correct, and we apologize for this mistake. We will correct it in the next tournament. Unfortunately, we can't change it now, as any adjustments would require extensive testing by our QA team. Thank you for your understanding.

Additionally, with the Ocean Update, saltwater rods were added to the game. Please ensure you distinguish between casting rods and saltwater casting rods, and spinning rods and saltwater spinning rods, to meet the competition or tournament requirements and choose the correct setup.

We hope this clarifies your questions, but if you still have concerns, please contact us at support@fishingplanet.com or in our official social media channels.

Thank you, and good luck in the Independence Trout Open!

Dear Anglers,

We have just released another patch addressing bug fixes and improvements reported over the past few days. While there are still a few issues we're actively working on, rest assured these will be resolved in the next hotfix patch. We appreciate your patience and continued support as we work diligently to enhance your gaming experience.

In addition, we'd like to address an important matter: we've conducted another ban wave based on our anti-cheating reports. Currently, these bans are temporary, but this is for the last time, and they will become permanent if those players attempt to use cheating software again. We want to stress that using any third-party software to alter gameplay in Fishing Planet is strictly forbidden and will result in a permanent ban.

Responding to some concerns about us joining the list of games that use Denuvo anti-cheat, we want to assure you that Denuvo operates with minimal impact on performance, ensuring a smooth gaming experience, and prioritizes user privacy, collecting only necessary data to prevent cheating. This improvement was primarily made to fulfill our community's request, and we firmly believe it will ensure a safe and fair gaming environment for all.

Lastly, we’ve been receiving many questions about the release of the Ocean Update for consoles and mobile platforms. We know you’re eagerly awaiting this update and appreciate your enthusiasm. The ocean update has turned out so huge that we needed to take some more time to optimize it better for smooth performance on all the devices. We will announce the release date within a few days, so stay tuned and thank you for your patience.

Here is the list of resolved issues:

  • Fixed the twitching animation issue on the 3D retrieve indicator.
  • Addressed the system lag accompanied by a characteristic sound.
  • Fixed the issue where pressing the "A" button did not open the first mission group list after switching mission group tabs.
  • Adjusted the speed at which fish drag boats and kayaks. Now, the speed better correlates with the fish's weight and strength and the weight of the boat. We've made it slightly faster based on players' feedback while keeping the mechanic realistic.
  • Bottom/Feeder Setup: Correctly displays the sinker when viewing the setup in templates.
  • Fixed the issue where the rented yacht would sink after the player came ashore on the Kaiji No Ri island.
  • Fixed game logic initialization for placing rods on stands in the settings.
  • The yacht no longer tips over after being returned to its start position.
  • Improved server performance for the Ocean Update
  • Fixed the issue where the background in photo mode did not change for the guest after teleporting to a navigation buoy in Fishing Together sessions.
  • Addressed the occasional weather desynchronization between the host and guest after time rewinds in Fishing Together sessions.
  • The boat rental window no longer appears twice if the session time ends while the host is offline.
  • Fixed the issue where players would spawn directly in the boat during the Fishing Planet Boat Series Tournament.
  • Club List now correctly displays clubs from all regions when filtering by country with "All" selected.
  • Resolved the intermittent inability to navigate with a gamepad in Kaiji Ni Ri location.
  • Fixed the issue where the guest saw the host's cast rod detach from the boat and move away after joining a Fishing Together session.
  • Bait is now correctly consumed on the Livebait Trolling Rig.
  • The "Tight Lines!" achievement is now properly credited on Steam.
Tight lines and enjoy the game!

Fishing Planet - Dennis_FP
Dear Anglers,

Yesterday marked a historic day for Fishing Planet with the release of the Ocean Update, and we're thrilled to see your excitement! We've received tons of feedback from you, and while many of you are loving the new ocean features, we know there are a few things you didn't like as much. Your feedback is incredibly important to us, so we wanted to address some of the most talked-about issues before we share the list of bug fixes and improvements.

We've heard your concerns about the Denuvo Anti-Cheat software. We want to assure you that Denuvo is designed to prioritize user privacy, collecting only the necessary data to prevent cheating. In the first 24 hours, we identified and dealt with many cheating players, helping to ensure a fair and enjoyable experience for everyone.

Some of you have mentioned that reels wear out quickly when using max drag. We understand this makes the gameplay more challenging, but max drag wasn't intended to be used the way it has been. This change is meant to make the game feel more realistic. To keep your reels in good shape, try to avoid using max drag continuously.

Last but not least, regarding the time-forward cooldown during nighttime: we initially enabled it because many fish species are active at night. However, after hearing your feedback, we’ve decided to revert this change. There will no longer be a nighttime cooldown, so you can enjoy uninterrupted gameplay.

Here is the list of other bug fixes and improvements:

  • Corrected boat antenna rotation in Fish Radar.
  • Fixed a bug where the guest would experience a freeze and black screen when the host finishes a Fishing Together session.
  • Corrected the message displayed upon event mission completion.
  • Applied minor fixes to the XP Modifiers window.
  • Implemented minor fixes for Ocean Missions.
  • Resolved an issue where players would be placed in a different room after returning to a Fishing Together session.
  • Fixed texture issues on the Scutum Boat.
  • Addressed an overlap of multiple tags on the same spot on the Tablet in Fishing Together sessions.
  • Applied various physics fixes.
  • Relocated navigation buttons for switching tablet modes.
  • Fixed UI bugs in different tablet modes.
  • Resolved an issue where the boat wouldn't move if the player at the helm was changed while in reverse.
  • Corrected the message about the end of the map displayed on the local map.
  • Fixed animation issues for big reels where the hand texture was seen through the sleeve while reeling.
  • Prevented the Extended Fishing Together session window from appearing in the guest's window after accessing the local map.
  • Fixed performance degradation during long play sessions.
  • Fixed a minor bug with Club invites.
  • Implemented anti-cheat improvements.
  • Resolved a photo mode bug for the Monster Fish Striped Marlin and other minor issues in photo mode
  • Fixed an issue where the yacht would tip over and fly up high after being anchored.
  • Corrected the pale appearance of boat and kayak slots compared to other slots.
  • Fixed the issue where saltwater sinkers were not working in carp setups.
  • Resolved the problem where it was impossible to buy items from the Lures and Baits category tabs in the Global Shop.
  • Applied various fixes to the Shop interface.

  • Optimized server workload for better performance.

Thank you for your continued support and valuable feedback. We hope you enjoy the improvements!
