We welcome all anglers on this beautiful day and are happy to share some news with you! In June, Fishing Planet locations will host a boat predators tournament – Fishing Planet Boat Series. If a regular fishing trip feels boring to you, if you want to show off your honed skills, if you love the spirit of competition – this is for you! Don’t waste your time: go register for the Tournament. Prove to everyone that you are the best angler and earn not only recognition but also fantastic prizes, including Credits, BaitCoins, and unique items.

And the three best Champions will become proud owners of new X-Series Bass Boats and FPBS FlameChamp™ Cap!

Participants and spectators will have a whole week to enjoy the thrill of the fight. The tournament will take place at picturesque locations in the US and Germany. However, you will hardly have time to enjoy the view, since the clash is likely to turn fierce! You will be fishing for the toughest predators using a spinning or casting rod from your boat. The type of qualifying fish depends on the location.

The Tournament will take place from June 13th through 18th. Over this period we’ll hold Qualifiers, Semi-Finals, and Finals. You need to register 24 hours before Qualifiers start – don’t miss the deadline!

The first registration begins on June 13th.
Dates of the Tournament:

• 13th - Qualifier 1 at the picturesque Saint-Croix Lake, Michigan;
  
• 14th - Qualifier 2 amid the Bavarian views of Lake Sander Baggersee in Germany;
  
• 15th - Qualifier 3 on the vast expanses of SAN JOAQUIN DELTA, California;
  
• 17th - Semi-Finals at the magical Blue Crab Island, Mississippi;
  
• 18th - Tournament Finals at the same place, Blue Crab Island, Mississippi.

Welcome to the second diary of our diary series about the upcoming updates!
Today we introduce the upcoming feature we put lots of energy and passion into. With the positive feedback we have received after briefly announcing it in the previous diary we are very excited to tell you more about Clubs.

In-game friends identification and playing together is certainly very important to all players so we decided to create a new tool and an opportunity for you to manage your own friend’s environment in Fishing Planet.

So anglers, get ready! If your rod is cast while reading, don’t forget about the bell, so you don’t miss your fish, and let’s dive deeper into the Club community!


Introducing the Clubs!
We had an idea of creating clubs since the beginning of Fishing Planet and it was our must-have feature that we were exploring, developing and polishing. We took our time to make it useful, convenient and fun for every member of the Fishing Planet family.



Now we will explain a bit what you will get with the release of Clubs

Clubs will give you the opportunity to be in touch with your fishing friends and like-minded people all around while playing Fishing Planet, while sharing great time and creating your fishing history together. They are built for players to interact with each other in a virtual environment as if they would go on a fishing trip together.



Joining a Club you will have an expanded range of communication features, for example, a special chat where you can exchange baits and marker buoys. You’ll also get a unique club room for fishing together, which allows you to receive an additional experience bonus for catching fish!




As we mentioned before, the most important benefit will be a chance to start building a friendly community or join the existing one. While browsing the list of clubs you will learn more about them from the short description including the country of the origin, which will make it easier to choose the most suitable community.




When creating a new Club first of all, you will need to select a Club Name and add a Description. Important recognition sign for every Club will be the Club Logo. It will help to visually recognize players and their friends inside Fishing Planet and highlight their unique fishing community.
The logo can be created by using in-game club logo editor with all available elements in it.



After creating your Club, any player can be invited to join. All club members will be able to invite new players. Club membership will be available for all players with no level restriction, but creating a club is only available to players of level 5 and higher. Also, please be aware that the minimum level of club members is determined by the Club President when the club is being created.



The chat will be another huge advantage of participating in clubs. It only includes the club members, so that all clubmates are always in touch.



Clubs in Fishing Planet are created for the groups of players who come together to socialize, collaborate and participate in various activities, it is also an ongoing adventure and a place to grow your skills and progress together. The club you join will become a perfect space to share fishing information and experience between members.



Clubs are very important to us. This is the project of our dear colleague, who put his heart into this update.Volodymyr Egov, who designed clubs and leagues, was killed defending Bakhmut, Ukraine. We are heartbroken but not stopped because making his ideas happen is one of the ways for us to celebrate his life and continue his legacy.

We hope it will become a platform for connecting players with different skills, knowledge and level with the main goal to experience fishing on a new level!



The Сlubs are in its final stages of testing and improvement and coming in a few weeks.

So, these are the first steps in introducing clubs to you guys, but what’s coming after is even more exciting! There will be competitive activities among clubs, which will be rewarded with exciting prizes. In order to run these activities, there must be a lot of clubs. This is why we really count on your active involvement because there is so much more to come!



We hope you like the clubs as much as we do and we’ll be able to launch a Club League Season very soon!

This is the moment of glory! After careful assessment of results, we are ready to reveal to the whole world the names of the top three Champions of the Live Bait Fiesta Cup! In addition to other magnificent prizes, each one of the top three will get unique X-Series tackles. And now it’s time to celebrate, collect prizes and get ready for new interesting challenges!

This May, we encourage you to take part in the Live Bait Fiesta Cup!

Prepare your bottom and match gear, as well as your favorite boat. You can leave your rod stand at home — you won't need it. When using a boat, remember that only fish caught from the shore will count.

The winner will be the one who, at the end of the tournament, will demonstrate a catch with a maximum weight of their ten heaviest fish.

During the tournament, you will travel through three wonderful warm countries of South America and visit reservoirs surrounded by tropical jungles and inhabited by unique fish of impressive size and color.
You will take an exciting fishing trip to the Peruvian Lake Maku-Maku, the waters of the Amazonian Maze in Brazil, and the Marron River, which flows through the Bolivian rainforests.
These places with their amazing flora and fauna attract sport fishing experts from all over the world. This means that in this tournament, you will face real fish-hunting pros! The harder the fight, the more significant the victory, as well as the title of Champion and well-deserved prizes: sizable amounts of Credits, Baitcoins, and unique items of equipment!

Registration of tournament participants begins on May 15 at 18:00 and lasts one day, until 18:00 on May 16. The tournament takes place from May 16 through May 21.

Tournament schedule dates:

• May 16–17 — first qualifier on the deep-water lake Maku-Maku in Peru.
  
• May 17–18 — second qualifier in the Amazonian Maze in Brazil.
  
• May 18–19 — third qualifier on the foggy Marron River, amidst the Bolivian jungle.
  
• May 20 — semi-finals on the Marron River in Bolivia.
  
• May 21 — tournament finals in the Amazonian Maze, Brazil.

Also, we need to remind you that it is strictly forbidden to participate in the tournament with two or more accounts! Violators will be excluded from the list of participants and temporarily restricted from all in-game activities and participation in competitions and tournaments.

The whole Fishing Planet team is passionately working on the new features. This season will definitely be exciting for all players. We are delighted to open the curtain slightly and tell you more about what's coming on the air in the following months.

Today we will briefly introduce Clubs, Saltwater Location, New Fishing Mechanics, and Fishing Together. These features are tremendous and highly anticipated, so we decided to make it a series and dedicate one of the upcoming diaries to each segment. So stay tuned; we have lots to share.

But first of all, we want to say thank you to our Community! Your feedback is the basis for the development of The Fishing Planet game. You inspire us to push the boundaries and keep converting the passion for online fishing we all share into our game.

Now let's jump in and review every new feature we prepare for you.


As you know, we are working non-stop on our first Saltwater location. There is a lot of hype about it, and many of you have tried to guess where it will be on the globe. Let's see whose guess was the closest :)
Our future location is a water area around a small island in the southeastern part East China Sea. Fishing on this island is possible all year round due to the warm climate, but autumn and spring are considered the most favorable times as typhoons might occur in the region in summer, and fish activity decreases in winter.
The East China Sea around the island has a significant water exchange with the Philippine Sea and the Pacific Ocean, so you can expect incredible biodiversity and exciting challenges in catching all the fish.
Saltwater is on its way. We look forward to telling and showing you more about it and will dedicate one of our next DevDiaries.

There is one more thing we are very excited to implement in Fishing Planet, new fishing mechanics - pulling-up.
The angler can easily spin the reel at maximum speed when fishing for small fish. However, as the size of the fish increases, it becomes more and more difficult to spin the reel. A certain threshold occurs when the force is applied at a heavy load. We are doing our best to reduce side effects and expand your fishing experience by bringing in a new pulling-up mechanic. Upgrade your skill set with a new pumping technique and catch the biggest fish like a pro.



We create a new type of boat for sea fishing with additional characteristics. Most importantly, new boats must be more significant and faster than the existing models because they must be stable in open water conditions of the ocean and sea.
Having the bigger boat at your disposal means you can take your friends on board and go on the fishing adventure together.

And last but not least, we prepared for your few really useful updates!
With this new feature, you will be able to create your own clubs and hold regular events. Undoubtedly, it will help you connect with your friends and fishing enthusiasts to experience the world of online fishery to the fullest. Team up with a name and logo, create the unique identity of your club, and share your knowledge and experience. While fishing together in your club room, you will be gaining experience points but also will be able to help your mates out by exchanging baits and fish markers. Just like in real life, fishing with your friends becomes an event you are looking forward to where you can strategize, exchange your knowledge, and, of course, get lots of fun hanging out with like-minded people.
This massive feature is in its final stages of development, and you will get to it in the upcoming months.

The last feature might sound less exciting than the previous ones at first, but it's extremely important to the overall impression. Due to the increase in the number of cheating and exploiting the game mechanics, we have completely revised our anti-cheater policy and improved the anti-cheater system in the game, including crucial technical improvements. Thank you all for your reports and suggestions and for helping us improve Fishing Planet!
