VBO FINAL RESULTS
The Final Round of Virtual Bass Open coincided with the third Sunday of June, taking place right on Father’s Day! That’s when our 20 best Bass anglers traveled to the pelican state of Louisiana for an epic final showdown of this year’s ultimate Bass fishing Tournament! It was a tough and fiery battle that made the otherwise peaceful and remote Quanchkin Lake explode with competitive excitement! And now that the Final Round is over and all the results are carefully considered we’re happy to give you 10 names of our Tournament prize-winning finalists, and at the top of the list - the 3 Bass fishing Champions who will be forever remembered as glorious winners of the VBO 2018! Dear friends! Summer is here at long last...and for many of us that’s the “it” time of the year for fishing! And what better way to celebrate the start of summer angling season than to participate in our annual annual Bass sportfishing tournament, Virtual Bass Open!

Taking place in June, this year it’s meant to honor the occasion of Father’s Day - the perfect holiday to spend celebrating the symbolic and deep meaning of the sacred father-and-son connection by doing some good ’ol fishing!

Register to enter the Virtual Bass Open, a fun and challenging competitive fishing journey that will take you through some of North America’s best fishing destinations!

First you’ll go from the blue aquatic vastness of Michigan’s beautiful Saint-Croix Lake to the endless weedy wetlands of Florida’s Everglades and the curvy banks of Missouri’s Mudwater River in the three Qualifiers, then on to the wide shores of North Carolina’s Neherrin River for the Semifinal Round...and finally, if you’re lucky, you’ll head straight to Louisiana’s swampy Quanchkin Lake for the Grand Finale, in which 20 toughest and most skilled Bass anglers will face each other in an epic showdown for the title of VBO Champion and many valuable prizes!

Virtual Bass Open will be held June 11th through June 16th, with the Registration starting on June 10th, 24 hours prior to the First Qualifier.

1. Motorboats

Now you can enjoy three new types of motorboats that have unique speed, durability and vary in other params and features.

• Metal flat bottomed motorboats.
  Slow, cheap, but extremely durable boats. You can rent the basic metal boat. However, the other ones will be equipped with sonars and better engines
  
  
  
  
• Rubber inflatable motorboats.
  These motorboats come with three various sonar options that vary by color themes, speed readings and fish tracking parameters. There are also boats with different engine powers.
  
  
  
  
• Bassboats are equipped with the best bassboat edition sonars and can develop the highest speed of all motorboats. Also, some bassboats feature, along with a trolling motor, an additional sonar installed in the front part, so that you could look for fish without having to get behind the steering wheel.
  
  
  
  You can purchase all types of motorboats in the in-game shop and enjoy them on the following waterways:

  • Falcon Lake
    
  • San Joaquin Delta
    
  • Saint Croix Lake
    
  • White Moose Lake

  A basic edition of metal flat bottomed motorboat is also available for rent at all of these waterways. Please note that only one type of boat (metal boat or kayak) may be rented at a time!
  
  Types of Sonars
  As mentioned before all motorboats purchased in the shop may be equipped with different types of sonars that vary by color themes, speed readings and fish tracking parameters.
  
  
  • Basic - shows bottom shape and structure and works on slow speed. Color theme: monochrome.
    
    
    
  • Advanced - shows bottom shape and structure as well as fish. Works on slow and middle speed. Color theme: monochrome
    
    
    
    
  • Pro - shows fish as well as bottom shape and structure in high resolution. Works on slow, middle and high speeds. Color theme: colorful.
    
    
    
  • Also there is a special edition sonar for the bassboat that corresponds to the Pro sonar characteristics but can work on higher speeds.
    
  
  2. Missions
  
  There have been added two new sets of missions: Exploration and Mastering for you to profound your angling skills and fully enjoy professional fishing.
  Explore every part of the proposed rivers, lakes and other bodies of water. Combining any fishing equipment and gear available to you, assemble a complete collection of fish species available for fishing and get the title of an explorer of each of the available places!
  Use your skills to catch Bass, Pikes, Trouts, Salmons, Catfish, Carps, and other ones that cause envy because of their size and power of opponents, and who often find themselves too tough for most anglers!
  
  Show off your expert angling skills by masterfully comply tasks!
  
  3. New lures added: try fishing with Jerkbaits and three type of Minnows - Deep Runner, Hunched Runner and Triple Runner
  
  4. Changed access levels for Emerald and Rocky Lake. Now small mounting Rocky Lake unlocking on Level 5. Emerald Lake with rental motorboat unlocking on Level 8. Some tackles and lures also change access level.

Hello, angling friends! As always, Fishing Planet keeps growing and expanding its universe, along with the opportunities for fishing on different continents of the world! And as we strive to create spacious waterways with plenty of room for exploration and angling adventures, we are in turn faced by the question of better navigation. Before, you could explore new angling destinations either on foot or from a kayak. Now, we’re introducing motorboats!

Metal flatbottomed motorboats


Rubber inflatable motorboats


Bass boats


Each type has its own unique characteristics and parameters. For example, metal motorboats are more durable, while rubber motorboats have better maneuverability and bass boats allow to move at much faster speeds.
All motorboats that you can get from the game store are equipped with sonars. However, some bass boats feature, along with a trolling motor, an additional sonar installed in the front part, so that you could look for fish without having to get behind the steering wheel.

Motorboats are similar to kayaks in use. The only difference is that these boats have a motor that you must operate. Just as you did with kayaks, to start using a motorboat, you must first rent or buy one. Then you must get on the boat and turn on the engine by using a pull starter, or in the case of a bass boat, by pushing the start button. To turn the engine off, simply repeat this step.
