Fishing with live baits from the rod stands bug fix
2. Akhtuba River unlocked
Akhtuba river is one of the most interesting angling destinations of the country. With its diverse structure, varying depths and currents, Akhtuba River attracts anglers, eager to explore this waterway’s countless fish species
Сhaika Creek
- Locals call Chaika, because of the name of an old abandoned camping site nearby, with shabby wooden houses standing since the days of USSR. Separated from the wide and moderately paced waterway by a small island, these narrow waters have a totally different dynamic with much faster current and a notably different fishing experience that comes with.
Nevertheless, the little river armlet is swarming with a large variety of different fish: from Caspian Roach and Common Bream to Zander, Asp and Wels Catfish.
Resting Waters
- Densely covered with lotuses and lily pads, it seems as if this still little lake is an aquatic pit-stop, where the hurrying current of Akhtuba River flows to fall into a tranquil slumber when tired from its incessant movement. The lake’s calm aquatic depth hides a plentiful array of underwater inhabitants for an angler to hunt on: Blue Bream, Volga Pikeperch, Ide, European Carp, Chub and Northern Pike just to list a few.
Wide as the Russian Soul
- This beautiful fishing spot is situated on one of the vast and most spacious parts of the Akhtuba River. The broad open area surrounding this lovely riverside beach greets the traveler’s eyes with gradually sloping sandy shores overlooking a somewhat abrupt and cliffy opposite bank.
Enjoy this broad open space, as you indulge in catching Asp, Caspian Roach, Tench, Zeige, Silver Bream, Zander and many other fish inhabiting.
All Hail the Pioneers
- Further upstream, in the higher reaches of Akhtuba River, you will discover a lovely steak of a long-forgotten desolate beach that once belonged to an old summer camp for young and daring Soviet pioneers.
Ah, what an ambient place to spend the day out fishing for Zander, Northern Pike, Asp, and Wels Catfish.

This update also includes few fish giants that will get on nerves of even hardcore anglers. No one can remain indifferent in the face of 60 kg Wels Catfish and Beluga.
At the same time, you have a possibility to meet and catch, well known Common Carp and Northern Pike.
We wanted all anglers to be able to create their own effective feeder mixes, and so we added a simple and a more advanced way of making your own chum.
Simple chum making.
This method will work great for anglers who aren’t too sure about their fishing priorities and have no clear preference as to the fish they want to catch. In that case, all you need to do is purchase a basic groundbait mix from the game store and add some water to it. In just a few moments, you’ll get some effective, ready-to-use chum. Here’s a step by step on what you need to do: 1. Buy a pack of basic groundbait mix 2. Go to the desired waterway 3. Drag the groundbait mix to the chum slot on your assembled feeder tackle (or simply double click on the pack) 4. Mix All done!
Advanced chum making. This method is designed for anglers who like to experiment and make the most out of all chum components to have more effective results. This means, you can mix and add different components in the desired proportions: 1. Buy all the components you want
2. Go to the waterway of your choice 3. Open the chum mixing menu
4. Select the desired proportions for all of the ingredients
You can even save your recipe if you like. To do that, you simply have to enter a name for it. In the future, you’ll be able to get that same mix, as long as you have all of the ingredients in your inventory.
5. Mix 6. Get your own unique chum, put it into the chum slot, and go catch some of the biggest fish out there!
Be careful when selecting the proportions for your chum ingredients. Use such concentrated components like liquid attractants with care: just because the possible proportion for an attractant is 10%, using the maximum amount won’t necessarily make it more effective! Unbalanced chum mixes might actually distract fish from biting. Make sure to carefully read the description of your chum mix components to get a clear idea of what you want to mix and in what proportions. Keep in mind: the right chum, when used in the right places and conditions will not only increase your fish bites, but will attract more diverse and rare fish to the feeding spot! Experiment and explore!
