The time has come for a long-awaited Competition update! The servers will be down for one hour and after that...


The fishing Competitions are finally here (in Beta mode)!

Fishing Planet team is proud to present Competitions as an entirely new multiplayer gaming mode. This much awaited feature will let you put your fishing skills to the test and compete against other anglers! Not to mention that it’s a great opportunity to earn some extra money! Here are some details about the Fishing Planet Competitions to answer any questions you might have:

• In-game Competitions are held on a daily basis, so everyone will get a chance to participate.
  
  
• Competitions are NOT to be confused with Tournaments. You may find the rules of some Competitions to be a bit unusual or even weird, but rest assured, we’ve put a lot of thought into every rule to ensure a fun and competitive experience! Let’s say you’re bored and tired of fishing for Bass… Well, then you could try your luck at catching the smallest Shiner!
  
  
• Along with the Competitions mode, the so-called PSR - Personal Skill Rating will be introduced to the game. PSR - is a dynamic rating of your Competition performance. Depending on your results it will either get higher or lower. That way you’ll be able to keep track of your performance on the improved Leaderboard with the newly introduced PSR rating. Tight lines!
  
  
• Everyone will get a chance to be an active Competitor! Even if your rating is low, don’t worry. There are special Competitions for low-level players.
  
  
• Right from the start we are launching 12 different and unique Competitions for you to enjoy that will encompass all waterways in all the States, except Lone Star Lake (since it is the starting Home waterway and is not meant for hosting any competitions)
  
  
• We plan on expanding the variety of Competitions by adding new ones, that’ll be even more fun and diverse! Make sure to keep track of the updates.

COMPETITION GUIDELINES: HOW TO PLAY?

Here’s an overview to highlight key points of Competition mode and explain how it works.
The much anticipated Competitions button on the upper UI panel is finally unlocked!



Upon clicking this button, the Competitive Dashboard menu will open up. Here you can conveniently select and register in any Competition that is currently available to you (if such exists atm), read the Competition overview/rules and apply as a participant.



The rules can be somewhat tricky, so make sure to read them attentively!

ALL PREMIUM ACCOUNT HOLDERS MAY TAKE PART IN ANY COMPETITION FREE OF CHARGE WITHOUT PAYING REGISTRATION FEE.

You may also plan ahead your events by checking out the full timetable of all current Competitions in the Competitions Schedule menu.





Once you’ve read the rules and registered, wait for the Competition to start and head over to the corresponding location.



Make sure that your equipment and tackle fit the corresponding Competition rules! Otherwise you will not be admitted to participate in the Competition.
Now all you have to do is FISH like there's no tomorrow!

FPIPS was a phrase that was being thrown around on AchillesV3's channel. Today, on the channel AchillesV3 is going over what it means!

The Fishing Planet International Pro Series is a competition run by the Super Bass Man and team, sponsored by Fishing Planet and will be a series of tournaments for pro anglers. Put your best fishing skills to use with exciting and challenging daily events that participants earn points in. Points scored can lead participants to more challenging Invitational matches later on, and eventually the Final tournament! Each daily event, invitational and final event tournament will grant winners awesome prizes and esteem of the community!
