Fishing Planet - alex
As we have already told you before, one of the features we are currently working on and are very close to completing is the Friends functionality. So today we’ll tell you what it’s all about and how it is going to work.
On Global Menu you’ll see a new active Friends icon. To let you easily find your friends and contact them we made a whole new Friends section. More than that, all your Steam friends who play Fishing Planet will be added to your friends list automatically.
In case, you want to add a new friend, you can use the Search function in the Friends section and send them a friend request. Once that person accepts your request, you’ll be added to each other’s friend lists.
In the Friends section you can see all info about your friends (online status, level, what location they are currently fishing on) and also send them a gift. And not just any gift..! But we’ll tell you about that a bit later;) For now, let’s just say that you’ll be able to make some of your friends very happy:)
In case you don’t want to accept someone’s friend request or you want to remove someone from your friends list, you can always unfriend or ignore that person.
Another cool new thing is that now you can select which Chatroom to enter within a certain location. It means that now you can browse for your Friends on the vast shores of Fishing Planet! If you simply click Go Fishing right after selecting the fishing location, you automatically go to a chatroom where most of your friends are.
But if you want to find a specific person (like your best friend) you can left click on the chosen location to get a dropdown menu with a list of your friends and the different chatrooms they are in, letting you choose which one to join!
At this point, the Friends feature doesn’t have all the desired functions, but this is just the beginning! Here’s what we plan on adding in the nearest future:
