  • Gars like to stalk their prey closer to the surface, so adjusting your line leader to about 2 feet (60 cm) should do the trick.
    
  • Halloween Baits for Halloween Gars! But don’t forget about the classic Gar yummies.
    
  • Mutant Gars are feisty and muscular fish, so make sure to use the most powerful tackle available!
    
  • For big Gars use big Hooks. These fellows have huge snouts!
    
  • There are many spots where Gars feed at each location, search them if you are not afraid!

Today we’ll talk a bit about Achievements in Fishing Planet.
Some of them are very simple to understand and some could be a bit tricky.

The simplest ones are fish farming achievements. Like Trout Master. Catch a certain number of trouts and you get it. Such achievements target specific fish species (Pikes, Basses, etc.) or a certain fish class (Trophy or Unique). Simple and clear.

Another simple set of achievements can be obtained within a limited timeframe. You are required to do something within one calendar day. A calendar day should not be confused with an in-game day that you spend on a location. Achievement counter is reset at midnight.
This currently means server time, which is UTC-5.

Some achievements require to do something “in a row”. So you are required to do a series of successful actions. Any unsuccessful action will break the sequence and you will be required to start from the beginning. This could be much harder to do. And for many of these achievements you will also require some luck aside of your fishing skills.

For example, with Lucky Bobber you should perform a series of successful strikes in a row. If you miss a fish bite - start from the beginning. Another example could be the Angling Machine achievement. This requires you to catch every fish on every bite.

You may do everything perfectly: you strike in time, your choice of hook size is correct, your bait is wisely selected, etc., but the fish might escape regardless. Because it’s a fish.

Patience and luck put together will lead you to success!

It’s also worth pointing out that there are some hidden achievements in the game. You will not see them, until you actually unlock the first stage.
Search and you will find them.
