Thea: The Awakening - A'vee
We've added another feature for testing - expedition preset on the Inventory screen. Pressing it saves your current Expedition setup (villagers with their equipment and cargo, including unused equipment). Loading will override anything that is currently in your right window.
This preset is saved during game save.

There was also a bug with achievements not being unlocked properly (Master Builder, Master Craftsman, Master Gatherer). We were able to successfully test and unlock, but if these still cause problems, please send us your savegame. This patch should also resolve a problem, where Research Requirement for Domination Victory was ticked before reaching the required threshold.

In order to avoid possible complications, we decided we'll be using beta branch to test new builds. To access the beta branch, right click on Thea in your Steam Library and select Properties. Then go to the last tab (Betas), enter "KuChwaleGorda" as password and from the drop-down menu select the beta branch.

In today's update:

- Fix for population growth;
- "Show Equiped" toggle now saves its state and this state is shared between screens;
- New Expedition screen now saves whatever you add there, so you can safely navigate to other panels without losing your set expedition squad.
- Improved achievements handling;
- Added new icons+descriptions for cooked food;
- Fix for "Place to see" spawning like mad around the village;
- Fixed a bug in Dwarf Smith quest;
- Delayed trigger time of Striga attack event.

Please report if you encounter problems with this build in this thread:

Thea: The Awakening - contact@rockpapershotgun.com (Graham Smith)

In spare minutes during the last day or so I’ve been trying to get my head around Thea: The Awakening [official site]. It’s a “turn-based strategic survival game.” It feels at times like a crossover between Civilization and my beloved NEO Scavenger, in that it’s a 4X but one in which you only ever have a single village and in which individual villagers have real value. But then its combat plays out as a card game designed by a programmer who worked on The Witcher 3’s Gwent, and your exploration of its world is marked by choose-your-own tales of Slavic mythology.

It is interesting. It seems quite good. And it left Early Access last Friday.

Some of you noticed invisible enemies when the Enemy Units Animation was set to off. Today's patch should fix this issue.

Edit: And a small addition - order of villagers on Available Villagers list (on village tasks screen) will now be updated if equipment influencing related skills changes.

- More card art variety for some creatures;
- Changed attack order - camps are now attacked after any other expedition standing on it. (Events still might be triggered directly on any group);
- Fix for some drop overflow issue;
- More protection for autoresolve freeze issue. We haven't been able to reproduce it, but this fix might help in cases where challenge ends up in infinite "no one wins" loop;

A couple small tweaks:

- There is now set attack/defense order: group standing on a settlement/lair defends first, once it is defeated, the lair/settlement group defends;
- Adjusted sliders for animation speed etc, improved functionality of controlled value;
- Adjusted default sliders' values;
