Nexus is full of nefarious baddies and intergalactic space monsters—so many things better witnessed, experienced, survived, and slain for loot while in the company of dear friends (or even just a few strangers). There’s never a better time to group up than during the Nexus with Friends event!
Renown is a currency you earn from completing multiplayer PvE content, and during the Nexus with Friends event you’ll earn double Renown when grouping up for expeditions, adventures, and dungeons. Is friendship magic? Who knows, but there’s safety—and Renown—in numbers.
Once you’ve saved up enough Renown and are ready for a shopping spree, visit Renown Vendors Agent Tetch at Fates Landing in Illium, or Sergeant Syrrus at Academy Corner in Thayd. These vendors are also beamed directly to your housing plot via hologram for instant access and gratification. With the right amount of Renown you can buy costumes, dyes, décor, mounts, pets, toys, and more.
Your Guild can also unlock access to Flasks that will increase your rate of XP or Reputation gains, or even boost your Run Speed (to name a few). Check the Guild Perks tab in your Social panel for details.
But that’s not all! When you reach level 50, you’ll be able to buy gear from the Expedition and Adventure Reward Vendors at Conqueror's Square in Illium or Champion's Corner in Thayd.
Nexus with Friends runs from June 24 at 2am PDT until 11:59pm PDT on June 27. So group up and get ready to maximize your Renown!
The WildStar original score is celebrated the world over as composer Jeff Kurtenacker expertly mixes sci-fi with fantasy, fun, and the fabulous to create an intensely immersive tonal landscape—and this is just the first volume. Newly mastered for at-home listening (or in the car, on an airplane, in the supermarket, as a request to a club DJ, to listen to while playing WildStar where you’re also listening to the music, etc.), you’ve never heard the WildStar soundtrack quite like this.
For those of you who don’t know, my name is Chad “Pappy” Moore, and I am the Game Director of WildStar. I think it’s safe to say that it’s been a big week for our game! Yesterday we released on Steam, and it’s been very exciting to see all of the new players coming in to check out the game, and joining our awesome community. Nexus is a big, wonderful, and mysterious place, and we couldn’t be happier to welcome you into the family.
Some advice to our new players: if you have any questions while you’re playing, don’t hesitate to reach out to us and the larger community for help, and you can also look through our Steam FAQ to help with any questions. Anyone who has played the game will tell you that we have an extremely dedicated and supportive community that is ready to answer all of your questions about WildStar.
Our official forums and social media channels are extremely active, and all of them are great places to find information about the game, content updates, and live events. You’ll probably run into some of our developers in-game too, so make sure to come up and introduce yourselves. We like to have fun, and we’re here to make sure that you’re enjoying the game as much as we are.
Releasing on Steam is big moment for us, but there are more exciting things that are coming up in the next few weeks and months. We’ve got some new PvP content releasing soon, which will further encourage and reward open world PvP. Two new race/class combinations—Chua Warrior and Aurin Engineer—will be available very soon, along with the ability to change your race and gender in our Chop Shop. We’re also adding multi-queuing to our Content Finder, as well as dropping the faction barrier in most of our instanced content in order to get more of you playing together. Are you a veteran player with a hankerin’ for a max-level alt? There might be some good news on the horizon. And, of course, we’ve got some brand new content—like Redmoon Terror, WildStar’s next unbelievably awesome raid—that’s just about ready for action. Sure, a lot of you are going to be having fun just leveling up (and we hope you enjoy it), but we also have a lot of cool stuff right around the corner.
As always, I want to thank all of you for playing WildStar, and being a part of this incomparable community. As I said before, Nexus is a big place, and the adventure is just beginning.
We’ve updated the Enemies and Allies section of Loremageddon with new stories on the explorers Artemis Zin and Dorian Walker. While Dorian discovered the fabled planet of Nexus, Artemis has made it her goal to uncover all of its secrets.
Visit the new Enemies and Allies section of Loremageddon, and keep checking back as we continue to add new iconic character bios and backstories. But you don’t have to wait on these updates to learn more about WildStar, there is a metric ton of lore and story in-game, and you can play it now—for free!
This June, WildStar’s second anniversary is to be celebrated as Starfall—a month-long holiday marking the discovery of Nexus!
The Starfall event is focused on weekly challenges and rewards, which not only celebrate WildStar’s anniversary with new items and goodies, but it also offers an unprecedented opportunity to collect rare and long-gone items from the past.
Learn more about Starfall and all it has to offer, right here.
For centuries, the Ekose Shiphands Union has been running cargo from planet to planet. And if there's one thing the alien Ekose know, it's spaceships—how to use them, live on them, build them, take them apart, and put them back together again.
How do they manage these staggering feats of interstellar travel? With the help of an amazing discovery that lets their technology work longer and steadier than any other—the elusive Eko Particles! They're what Ekose pilots use to keep their ship engines running smoothly for extended periods. And once again, as part of the limited-time Space Chase event returning June 10 through June 20, Ekose ship captains Exchanger Beno and Collector Torio will be letting everyone get in on the secret and unlocking the coolest spaceship components in the galaxy—parts you can use to build your own unique spaceships on your housing plot!
More details about all of the cool things you can get can be found here!
