We're having a closed beta for the gaming press, so if you write for a website (or magazine, there are still some of those around, right?), make LetsPlay videos or stream on Twitch, you're in luck!

Please send us an email to press@arcanity.com with a link to your media outlet where we can see a bit of what you do. We don't mind if you don't have a ton of followers & subscribers, we just want passionate people who'll make cool videos!

Things we care about:
  • You need to have a PC good enough to run the game and record at the same time.

Hey everybody! I'm here again to let you know about the changes we've made to Tanzia during May and June.

There's a ton of new content, so Here's a quick Summary:

The Lagoon: Yes, you can finally go and explore the Lagoon! Most people already visited the area because we opened it right after the last update. But we wanted to write it here for posterity.
Watch out for the bees though, they're poisonous!

Bear Island: What? Another island? YES! And it's filled with brand new enemies that'll make the Emuri Village look like a florist convention (?). Complete the main quest there to get an awesome new ability (can't tell you what it is, but it rhymes with "Pear Scone"... sort of).
The boat at the Docks will take you there now after you finish the Lagoon quest.

Forgotten Jungle: Welcome to the jungle, we've got fun 'n' games! Yeah! (Please don't sue us, Axel...).
The most mysterious place in the island, and you know what? You´ve passed it a hundred times already and never saw it!
Big secrets will be revealed there, so keep your eyes open. And also, good luck if you're arachnophobic! : P

  • add "return Kurame's boots to Kurame" task to the Kurame quest chain.
  • fix issue where Abenaki disappears from The Village and there's nobody to un-pigify you.
  • expand hotbar to 10 slots.
  • use items directly from inventory.
  • add a control bindings menu for control customization.
  • add a global sound volume slider.
  • add volume sliders for fx and ambient sounds.
  • fix a bunch of ambient audio issues where ambient sounds don't respond to ambient volume level.
  • add images for slides 0-1 and 2-1.
  • prototype for first vision cutscene.
  • mako's rage now resets all spell cooldowns when you use it so you can enjoy a more pleasant and uninterrupted rage experience.
  • remove collision fence preventing drop down from crossroads.
  • allow walking in turtle beach "lagoon".
  • adjust collision fence at The Docks so you can go in the water by the waterfall.
  • don't allow using invis potion during combat
  • allow deleting of saved games.
  • made Akura a little harder to melee.
  • fix bug preventing completion of Erudi's bags quest.
  • fix the Erudi's bag on the cliff bug where you can see it but can't get it before zoning out.
  • fix bug where pig hotbar grays out permanently.
  • fix bug where verdant blossom icon doesn't show up on journal map during haste quest.
  • fix missing collision panel on the EmuriVillage->Lagoon bridge.
  • fixed car handling issues when driving over sand.
  • fix a lighting/visual artifact bug causing you to see a big bright blue square projected over water near torches.
  • fix bug where if you use see invis, save, reload, you don' t have the effect or the potion anymore.
  • fix missing loincloth bug on starting armor.
  • fix bug where ice comet is hitting NPCs.
  • many other fixes and changes that either wouldn't make sense to read or nobody cares about!

Hey everybody! Thanks for all the great feedback this past few weeks. We've fixed a ton of bugs and made some major improvements.

Here's a quick Summary:

The Quest Journal: Before, you had little clues on what your current mission was, it was serviceable, but sometimes a little confusing. Now with The Quest Journal, you can see all your current quests and if you click on each one it'll show you what you need to do and where you have to go, it's super handy! Try if if you haven't already, it's the topmost menu button, the one with the feather icon.

Map Icons: Now the map is much easier to read, you have icons for the totems and for important things you need to find during your adventure, for example if you're into the crab quest and you go into The Quest Journal and select it, the map will show you where the crabs are, the same with most quests where you need to find something! You can summon the map pressing M or by selecting the map button on the menu, The Quest Journal will also show the map with quest related icons.

The Emuri Village: That area was closed to beta users for super long and now you can go there! Some people already visited it and died there a lot, some went and kicked ass! Our advice before you set foot there is: Gear up! Or you're going to have a rude awakening!

New lighting: We're still improving the visuals of the game a bit, and we just made some subtle lighting changes you might have noticed. It's not complete yet but you should see some flickering torches, character shadows and, if you have an artistic eye, much improved lighting all around to give Tanzia a much warmer and nicer look than before.

Bug fixes and tweaks: We're always working on improving the game, there's a ton of under the hood changes/fixes we made based on feedback and all the videos we're watching from Lets Players and Streamers. We fixed quests & combat balance issues and every day we add new stuff to the list!

• Demon imp at The Docks now has proper drops.
• Fix some pathing issues in Emuri Village.
• Fix collision hole that lets you walk under the boat dock at The Docks.
• Fix a bug where The Village gates weren't opening.
• Move potions and recipes from Bento's shop to The Docks shop and untie them from the Kurame's Challenges quest chain.
• Adjust HUD a tiny bit so that hint panel doesn't overlap with merchant windows.
• Fix collision issues in The Village perimeter and gates.
• Fix gap in perimeter collision at The Lagoon entrance (Thanks Druidic!).
• Fix the beta collision wall to prevent travel into The Lagoon.
• Fix rejuvenate and regenerate bug that caused them to never wear off.
• Lower regenerate and rejuvenate duration from 5 minutes to 2 minutes to match the description.
• Raise cooldown on haste and invincibility.
• Increase Thunderclap cooldown to 60 seconds.
