During the last State of the Game,Community Developers Petter Mårtensson and Yannick Banchereau sat down to showcase creations from the community!
Petter ran a solo show this week with a quick update on maintenance/general information and more community highlights. Creative Director Terry Spier and Lead Game Designer Keith Evans from Red Storm Entertainment joined in for a discussion on the status of the Dark Zone.
We had an emergency maintenance on Tuesday, February 6th that resolved the following issues:
Fixed an issue involving the Classified AlphaBridge gear-set.
Fixed a UI issue in which gear optimizations may reset between sessions.
The larger size of the patch is due to data having to be overwritten. No stealth changes were made in the maintenance.
We recognize a portion of our community discussing Cronus Max, and we want to reassure everyone that we are not ignoring the issue. We recognize it as a problem, but it gets complicated as it involves other parties. We kindly ask for your patience.
Invites to a marketing study have been circulating. These are conducted on a regular basis and do not have a direct correlation to development and production on our side.
We are still examining methods to increase the ways in which players acquire Classified gear. While increasing drop rates is an easy solution, we want to offer more for players across the board. We will share improvements as soon as we have them.
During the last Global Event, we shared a value for the total number of players who completed all the Ambush Commendations. Unfortunately, this number was incorrect so we apologize for the error!
Terry and Keith believe Rogue 2.0 has made a positive impact on the Dark Zone. Prior to Update 1.8, the PVE in the DZ was being marginalized. This was something we wanted to change as the DZ is a PVEVP zone. Keeping an initial period of adaption in mind, the number of players killed by Rogues is now increasing with 1.8 with DZ engagement on the increase as well. The grind for gear has more or less been done for many players, and we are seeing more PVP activity as a result.
There are some community highlights to showcase in the stream this week. The first comes from @RRV_Design with a vintage neon Division logo. We appreciate the work!
@ccat1986 and @alexacutioner have created a storefront where Division Agents can accessorize. How does everyone feel about “Agents Gone Vogue”?
Lastly, we have a LMB starter kit coming from @Vohlos. Be sure to share the final cosplay with us and do not forget to tag #AgentHighlights!
The Xbox One X patch is coming, but there is still no news on the matter. As always, we will let everyone know as soon as we have more.
As a reminder, we are looking at ways for players to access more Classified gear. We do not have a timeline to share, but we can say that players will definitely see improvements in completing 6-piece once the changes are implemented.
As always, be sure to join us over on the Official Forumsor on the community Reddit if you’re looking for a place to discuss all things related to The Division.

During the last State of the Game, Community Developers Petter Mårtensson and Yannick Banchereau highlighted community content and gave a quick update on the ongoing Global Event, Ambush.
This week, Petter and Yannick are back to discuss classified gear drop rates, community content and a kitten that has gone rogue.
Today’s maintenance completed on schedule and performed its normal duties.
The fourth Global Event titled Ambush is now over. We hope that you enjoyed the event and got your hands on some neat upgrades for your agent!
Now that all Classified Gear sets have been introduced, we are looking at the possibility of increasing the Classified Gear drop rate in a few specific locations. In addition, we are also looking at other solutions with the aim to increase their overall availability to the players. We will share further details on this topic as soon as possible.
This week our customer support saw a case of a rogue kitten. A poor agent had his kitten sit on his keyboard prompting the game to delete his character. The resulting support ticket had this picture attached with the caption “The little prick doesn’t even know what he’s done”. It sure looks guilty to me!
STATS WITH YANNICK
Yannick returns this week with some interesting figures from the recently concluded Global Event.
A genuinely impressive 19.9 billion Global Event credits were earned during the past week, with 13.3 million Superior Ambush caches opened.
Still hungry for more Global Event figures from Yannick? Make sure to check out the VoD for the rest.
Fan Art
Have you ever imagined what State of the Game would taste like in a can? Michael Batenburg rendered a State of the Game beverage for everyone to enjoy. We'll take a few, Agent.
Community member Cheshire Cat created a series of movie posters for ‘A Christmas Miracle’, a motion picture starring our very own Community Developers Petter Mårtensson and Yannick Banchereau. What we want to know is, when’s the premiere?
Thanks for the laugh, agent!
Cosplay
This week we would like to showcase another great cosplayer in the ranks of The Division. Agent Akimura is fighting against the elements with only his sidearm to protect against the dangers of the city. We hope that he managed to gear up and made it to an extraction point in time. We cannot afford to lose any more agents in the blizzard if we are to take the city back.
Video Content
Let’s wrap up this week’s community content with a fan music video. OGSwagPanda put together this brilliant music video titled ”Lawless”. Top notch editing, agent!
As a reminder, we also feature community content monthly in our Agent Highlights articles! If you have content you would like to share, please tweet your creations with the hashtag #AgentHighlights. A huge thanks to everyone who submits!
We do not have any news regarding future updates at this time and there are currently no concrete plans for balance changes. We are however actively monitoring your balancing feedback and suggestions.
The community has already provided a lot of valuable feedback and we appreciate your input greatly. Thanks to all who have provided feedback thus far and if you haven’t you are more than welcome to head over to the Official Forums and let us know your thoughts.
As soon as we have more news to share, we will let you know. Stay tuned to future State of the Game streams for more information going forward. Until then, see you on the streets of New York.

During the last State of the Game,Community Developers Petter Mårtensson and Yannick Banchereau highlighted some community content and revealed the vanity masks for Global Event Ambush.
This week, Petter and Yannick are back with a quick update on Global Event Ambush and more community highlights.
Today’s maintenance completed on schedule and resolved the following issues:
Completed Manhunts wouldn’t progress the “Manhunted” Commendation
Infinite enemies could be spawned while playing Resistance
We are monitoring the Classified gear-sets and how they perform throughout the game. Please keep in mind that Ambush’s Classified gear are still new, and we want more players to get hands-on to experiment with the meta.
STATS WITH YANNICK
With the Global Event live, we are re-introducing Stats With Yannick. Here is the amount of Global Event Tokens that have been earned in the first 48-hours of Ambush:
This translates to 4.3 million Superior Ambush Caches opened. We speculate that there are some players who are saving their Global Event Tokens or have not opened their caches just yet.
FAN FICTION
We received a Division-inspired fan fictionwritten by Agent Saint. It highlights a London Division Agent diagnosed with diabetes. Thank you for sharing this story with us!
FAN ART
Lpariah is a new player to The Division who has just reached WT5. In an effort to expose more players to Manhattan’s landscapes, she compiled a Photo Journalduring the leveling process. There are some beautiful shots in the album!
Cheshire Cat created something similar with her Polaroid Tour of Manhattan. The screenshots were edited into fantastic Polaroid stills for all your sightseeing needs.
We would also like to thank Agent Baundiesel for sending us a photo-book of his series of screenshots across The Division—#DivisionShots.
COSPLAY
SHD Umbra combines Ghost Recon and The Division with his LVOA-C cosplay. Who says Ghosts cannot be SHD Agents too?
Agent Mabeobja makes a return, showcasing her cosplay in the Dark Zone. Fun fact: this picture was taken all the way from Tokyo!
Ryoto also submitted a cosplay all the way from Tokyo. Enemy LMB have been spotted roaming the snowy streets.
Keeping with the theme of snow, Tri_San showcases another Division Agent cosplay while shoveling!
Unfortunately, we do not have any more news to share on Xbox One X Patch. We appreciate everyone’s anticipation and will follow up with more information as soon as possible.

Global Event #4 is live, and Agents will have to adapt to new modifiers during the event.
Start: January 23, 12:00 UTC
End: January 30, 12:00 UTC
The following modifiers are live during Ambush:
Ambush—Always active. Agents deal increased damage while stationary.
Covert Ambush—Ambush behavior, plus health diminishes while moving.
Strategic Ambush—Covert Ambush behavior, plus health diminishes when close to allies.
Agents now have an opportunity to earn the following Classified gear-sets:
Classified AlphaBridge

Classified Tactician's Authority
As with every Global Event, new vanity items are available. Three new face masks make their way into The Division and can be earned by completing Ambush-specific Commendations.
In addition, three new weapon skins alongside a new vanity outfit will be rewarded based on player performance on the tiered-Global Event Leaderboards. We hope to see everyone in-game! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ssIPskWsAB8

During the last State of the Game,Community Developers Yannick Banchereau and Hamish Bode discussed Classified set balancing in relation to the next Global Event’s last four Classified sets.
This week, Community Developer Petter Mårtensson is joined by Yannick to confirm the date for Global Event Ambush and talk community content.
If you missed the stream, you check out the VOD.If you’re currently on the move, we have you covered with our Podcast Recap.
We are back with the first State of the Game for 2018! With the new year upon us, we want to incorporate new changes to the show. We have decided to keep State of the Game as a weekly live-stream, but we want to include more community aspects that surround The Division—cosplays, fan art, highlights, as well as news. We are planning to implement these changes starting next week.
Maintenance today was completed without any issues. The Expansion Stash bug that prevented players from accessing Skirmish without the Season Pass is now resolved. If anyone is still experiencing issues, please contact Ubisoft Support.
After the maintenance today, the Holiday Cache is no longer available. If you did not get a chance to get your hands on the Santa Suit, MrKebab has you covered with a holiday message:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=e6EU0TLTBbg Global Event 4: Ambush is releasing on Tuesday, January 23 and will run for one week. The Classified sets that will release with the event are as follows:
AlphaBridge
Hunter's Faith
FireCrest
Tactician's Authority
At this point, we have no plans to tone-down any gear sets. We are waiting for the final four Classified sets to release with Ambush to see how the meta evolves.
We are aware of a video circulating about an invincibility bug, but we have not been able to reproduce the issue at the moment. We suspect it is a one-time bug, but if anyone has more information on the glitch please send the details to stateofthegame@massive.se.
As a preview for next week’s State of the Game, we wanted to highlight some community content!
SHD-LegenBeary may have broken his leg, but he still feels he is in a better place than Faye Lau.
Ghost provided a 3D render of weapons and accessories in The Division. We have no doubts that he will be able to handle himself on the streets of New York.
Lastly, Wild Max created a montage to ensure that everyone gets a little holiday cheer, both inside and outside of The Division.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qouDJEffWKw We feature content like this every single month in our Agent Highlights articles! If you’ve created something you would like to share, please tweet your content with the hashtag #AgentHighlights.
There is a future for The Division, but we are very much focused on Update 1.8 right now. Keep in mind that Update 1.8 is the largest free update to the game, and it is still new. We appreciate all the excitement and enthusiasm, but we ask that everyone be as patient as possible.
To recap, there will be a State of the Game next week but it will be more community focused instead of news-oriented. We hope that everyone appreciates the community creations surrounding The Division because we definitely do!
Do not forget that Ambush begins on January 23! Prepare yourselves, Agents.
