Agents, incoming State of the Game transmission:

During the last State of the Game,Community Developers Yannick Banchereau and Petter Mårtensson confirmed the extension of Global Event Strike and provided a quick overview of the current issues in 1.8. Stats With Yannick also returned!

This week, Yannick is back with Community Developer Hamish Bode to review the third Global Event and talk statistics around Strike!

If you missed the stream, you check out the VOD.If you’re currently on the move, we have you covered with our Podcast Recap.

We postponed our weekly maintenance to tomorrow, December 22. Fixes include the following related to the Secret Mission:
  • Fixed a bug in which Agents were sometimes unable to interact with an NPC, preventing players from completing the mission.
  • Fixed another bug in which only the group leader would receive the weapons cache reward if a group of Agents completed the mission.
We are also implementing a new Encrypted Cache for a limited time with new holiday-themed items. This cache will be available from December 22 to January 11 and all players who log in during the event will be rewarded five cypher keys for free.

In terms of gear set balancing, we are waiting for the meta to settle. Update 1.8 is still new alongside Classified Predator’s Mark and Nomad, and so we want everyone to experience and experiment with these sets on the live servers. As a reminder, there are four more Classified sets that will release with the next Global Event. We are confident these sets will find their own place into the game and affect the meta to a certain extent.

STATS WITH YANNICK

Stats With Yannick is back again this week! Here is the number of Superior Caches opened during Global Event: Strike.

For the full segment, check out the VOD above or have a listen to the Podcast Recap. Can you guess how many players completed all the Global Event Commendations this time around?

A huge thank you goes out to the Elites Gaming community for sending a holiday card to everyone working on The Division. We appreciate it and wish you all a happy holiday!

We are hosting a Double Field Proficiency Caches Event from December 26 to December 28, midnight UTC. Be sure to log in during the break for some extra loot!

We are aiming for the next Global event to arrive around late-January. We will share more information on Ambush as soon as possible.

Unfortunately, we do not have a date for the Xbox One X patch. We know there are many community members who are anticipating the enhancements, but details are still to be announced.

As a final reminder, there will not be a State of the Game next week as the studio is on holiday. We want to wish everyone happy and safe travels next week, and we are looking forward to another year on The Division!

As always, be sure to join us over on the Official Forumsor on the community Reddit if you’re looking for a place to discuss all things related to The Division.

Until next time!

Agents, incoming State of the Game transmission:

During the last State of the Game, Community Developer Petter Mårtensson and Yannick Banchereau discussed how 1.8 has been progressing alongside details about the upcoming Global Event – Strike.

Petter is back this week with Community Developer Yannick Banchereau to discuss the ongoing Global Event - Strike, provide a quick overview of some issues currently present in the game and the return of Stats with Yannick!

If you missed the stream, you check out the VoD below. If you’re currently on the move, we have you covered with our Podcast Recap.

TODAY
We started today’s stream with a special message to Agent Mabeobja who is currently going through some health related issues. We wish you good health & all the best! Stay awesome, agent!

A maintenance was performed this morning performing the usual duties and deploying a fix for an issue that enabled players to obtain World Tier 5 caches while playing the Resistance game mode in World Tier 1.

The new Global Event - Strike went live this week on Tuesday, 12th of December, spicing up gameplay with three unique global event modifiers that makes things go boom!

Strike modifiers:
  • Strike - Always active. Enemies explode when killed.
  • Pre-emptive Strike - Strike behavior, plus sustained incoming damage triggers a small explosion on Agents.
  • Tactical Strike - Pre-emptive Strike behavior, plus enemies are marked using Strike explosions. When killed, they damage remaining enemies. Ally-to-Ally explosion damage is increased.
Strike introduced four new Classified Gear sets to the game. You can now get your hands on the Classified versions of the Path of the Nomad, Predator’s Mark, Banshee & D3-FNC gear sets by participating in the global event and purchasing Strike Caches at the Global Event vendor.

Following the release of the Global Event, we experienced server instability due to high server load and we have been working throughout the week to improve server stability for our players.

Finally, Petter provided a quick overview on some issues reported by the community since the launch of Update 1.8 and what their current status is. We appreciate the bug reports we have received since the launch and we will be working to fix these issues in an upcoming client patch.

If you encounter issues while playing the game, remember to post a bug report on the Technical Support forums.

STATS WITH YANNICK
Today marked the return of Stats with Yannick, with a number of cool statistics from Update 1.8 and the ongoing Global Event. As a sneak peak, here's the amount of players who has been killed by Hunters in the Underground so far.

For a full rundown of the statistics, make sure to check out the VoD or listen to the Podcast Recap. Can you guess how much D-tech has been spent at the Optimization Station?

LOOKING FORWARD
We have decided to extend the ongoing ‘Strike’ Global Event by 48 hours. The event will now run until December 20th, 12:00 UTC, giving more time for you to enjoy Strike and perhaps get that missing gear piece you are after.

We will have news on a potential State of the Game for next week as soon as possible. Thanks again, Agents!
