Last week’s State of the Game discussed some of the fixes that were deployed with the maintenance and a few other issues we were investigating. This week we are discussing some fixes we are making and more exciting news!
For everything discussed on the stream check out the VOD below or listen to it as a podcast!
There was a maintenance today to perform the usual duties and deploy a fix.
Fixed an issue where some players were not able to collect the reward for completing all side missions in a zone.
Next week we will be deploying a patch on PC to address a multitude of issues.
Fixed the issue that caused the loss of character controls
Lowered performance impact with high CPU usage
Fixed issues with controllers on PC
This patch will also activate DirectX12 which should provide better optimization for higher resolutions. Please note that there is a known issue with DirectX12 where you are not able to change the brightness.
We are excited to announce that we will be hosting another Elite Task Force. This time around we will be focusing on PvP balancing and the Dark Zone for Update 1.6. It will be hosted at Red Storm in North Carolina from January 11th to 13th. Read more about it and learn how to sign up here!
LOOKING FORWARD
We are continuously updating the Known Issues. Make sure you keep an eye on it so you are up to date with all the latest information!
HOT TOPICS
AlphaBridge and Uncomplicated
There has been some confusion around the Uncomplicated talent on the Famas and how it works with AlphaBridge. Currently if you are using a Famas with Uncomplicated together with an AlphaBridge set, the Uncomplicated talent will be impacted by the Stability and Accuracy mods equipped on both Primary and Secondary weapons, regardless of the one you are actually using. This is a bug that will be resolved in an upcoming update. Uncomplicated in combination with AlphaBridge should only take into account the mods equipped on the weapon you are currently using, and not those of the weapon that is not being used.
Barret’s Bulletproof Chest bonuses
We’ve seen some discussions around the bonuses from Barret’s Bulletproof Chest not working. This was resolved in the maintenance last week, however the bonuses will not be displayed in the UI as it requires a client patch.
As always, be sure to join us over on the Official Forums or on the community Reddit if you’re looking for a place to discuss all things related to The Division.

In September 2016, we made a strong commitment to improving the game together with you, our community. The Elite Task Force was created to make sure that player feedback would be heard and included in key elements of the game’s balancing. 13 of our dedicated players were chosen to be a part of the first ETF group and were flown to Malmö, Sweden, to take part in a three-day workshop at Massive’s offices on the future development of The Division. The event was a great success, and the ETF were instrumental in helping us create what would become the game-changing Update 1.4.
We’ve worked with the ETF members ever since, getting constant invaluable feedback and insights from them. We’re awed by their passion and their knowledge of The Division and they’ve all proved to us just how important working with our community is as we look towards the future.
In January 2017, we want to expand the ETF program with a second group of Elite Task Force agents. Just like last time, we will invite this group of players to take part in a three-day workshop - this time at Red Storm Studios in Morrisville, North Carolina - on January 11-13, 2017. The workshop will primarily focus on parts that was left out of the 1.4 rebalancing of the game: The Dark Zone and PvP balancing for Update 1.6.
Remember, you don’t need to be a world famous YouTuber, gigantic streamer or podcast hero to be a part of the ETF. If you play The Division, are available on those dates (and possible days before and after for travel) and want to be part of creative and open discussions on the aforementioned subjects, we want to hear from you! You also need to be 18+ years old and have a valid passport (if traveling from outside the US). We’ll pay for flights, hotel and food during your stay with us.

Last week’s State of the Game discussed some Known Issues and the timeline for Update 1.5. This week, we are talking about the fixes made during the weekly maintenance as well as some other issues we are investigating.

There was a maintenance this morning to perform the usual duties as well as deploy a number of fixes.
Fixed a bug where Larae Barret would remain stuck on the balcony in Lexington Event Center.
Fixed a bug where the Barret Named high-end armor talent would not work after a phase transition or character death. Note that the UI will not take the bonus into account as this will require a client patch.
Fixed a bug where Colonel Bliss’s Holster would not drop in General Assembly mission.
All existing High-End items below level 30 will be automatically rerolled to level 30. In the future, in the event that players would be able to acquire High-End items when they are below level 30, the item will be level 30. Equipped High-End items on character below level 30 will be automatically unequipped during the maintenance and replaced with basic started gear.
Fixed a bug where some players would be stuck on a black screen after watching the exit cutscene in Brooklyn.
Sticky Bomb PvP damage modifier has been reduced to limit the skill’s potency when used against other players. While Sticky Bomb one shots should still be possible, they should only be achievable by highly specialized characters and in specific situations.
Following the maintenance there were reports where Larae Barrett would become immune to damage after exiting the balcony. To resolve this as soon as possible, there will be a quick maintenance tomorrow.
Additionally, we are looking into a few reports of Heal Delay and your actions being locked after using skills. If you do experience either of these, please provide us with videos on the technical support forum for your platform.
Finally, we have some interesting infographics we want to share with you! We pulled some data to find out where players are dying most often in Survival. The larger the death icon, the more players have died in that area. Please note that these only display the larger concentrations of deaths.
The first image shows you where the largest concentration of deaths overall is.
Secondly are the deaths caused by NPCs.
Finally, the deaths in PVP.
