Today’s patch is about ‘The Merman Attacks’ contents. Yes, the day has come!
As we announced before, we have tested the Merman Attacks contents from 10 Dec to 29 Dec. During the pretest, with your great advice, we made up for the weak points of ‘the Merman Attacks’ contents, and we also made it more fun. And then, finally, the Merman Attacks contents will go live today. This time, there will be several updates like adding unimplemented features, adjusting balances, etc.
Cannon turrets
You will be able to block numerous enemies by using the cannon turrets. The attack damage for one shot is not that strong, but the splash effect is huge and very efficient, thus your enemies around the spot the bomb is dropped will get damaged. Please remember, many cannon turrets will create a synergy effect.
Ballista turrets
Ballista turret has strong damage and piercing, so it is very efficient to kill heavy-armed enemies. Also, it has a long attack range, thus it can attack your enemies in a long distance. It has slow automatic fire speed, but it will be more efficient if you deploy the ballista turrets in appropriate spots.
You will be able to build the cannon turrets and ballista turrets right next to the watchtowers, so it will be also an effective way to fill blank spots in defense. Please keep in mind that the weak point of the two turrets; the maximum payload is 30. It’s very important to load the two with cannonballs and ballista bolts in a timely manner, and it will be one of the main reasons for your victory. If your enemies is too close to your turrets, they can’t attack them, so you should protect your turrets from your enemies with traps.
Spike traps
Spike trap is one of built-on-the-ground traps. It will attack your enemies with very sharp spikes if they step on the traps. It will be very efficient in blocking heavy-armed or high HP enemies, because of it’s high piercing damage.
Bomb traps
Bomb trap is, like the spike traps, one of single-use, built-on-the-ground traps. It will explode when the enemies get close to it, damaging over a wide range. Its attack damage is not strong, but it will be very efficient to attack many enemies at one go. So, it could be said that bomb traps and cannon turrets are best friends.
And please remember, only you and your guild members can see the spike traps and bomb traps. And they will also attack the criminals, so please be careful.

Spike traps will be added. - Tinkering 16 - Wooden plank 4, Copper ingot 4, Oil 1 and Black powder 2 - Default damage: 200 - 300 - Installation radius: 4m - A single-use trap with strong piercing. - Only you and your guild members can see the traps. - It will be activated if monsters and criminals step on the traps. - You will be able to build the traps right next to the watchtowers and Cannon turrets.
Bomb traps will be added. - Tinkering 26 - Wooden plank 4, Black powder 4, Oil 4 and Copper ingot 1 - Default damage: 100 - 150 - Installation radius: 4m - A multi-attack, single-use trap - Only you and your guild members can see the traps. - It will be activated if monsters and criminals step on the traps. - You will be able to build the traps right next to the watchtowers and Cannon turrets.
Attack range guideline was implemented.
- Attack range guidelines will be displayed when building watchtowers, turrets and traps. - Max/min attack range guidelines will be displayed when mousing over the buildings. - Only you and your guild members can see it.
Ballista bolt/cannonball payload will be displayed. - Only you and your guild members can see it.
<Balance Changes>
The amount of items in Merman’s treasure box was changed. - Victory rewards will be increased by 100%.
Black powder - Tinkering 21 -> 15 - Production quantity: 10 -> 6
<Bug Fixes>
Arrow watchtowers - Arrow watchtower bug was fixed. Details: 3 shot multi attacks didn’t work well when the arrow towers are upgraded to multi-shot watchtowers. - You were able to build more than two arrow watchtowers in the restricted range. (in radius of 14m)
Graphic bugs - Scale bugs was fixed.
Gates - Go through gates bug was fixed. Details: the monsters could go through gates even though the gates were closed.
Mounts - Mounts bug was fixed. Details: you couldn't move at all if you get on the mounts when sitting.
<Others>
Christmas trees was deleted. - It won’t be spawned anymore but existing trees won’t be gone.
Corpse of Christmas elf was deleted.
<Important Notice>
Arrow watchtower bug was fixed. The arrow watchtowers in a radius of 14m will be changed to stone walls on 5, Jan. (1 week later.) Please take out of your arrows before the arrow watchtowers will be changed.
There’s going to be the Merman Attacks contents update work 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm (KST, Korea Standard Time, GMT+9) for around 3 hours.
