The following bugs have been fixed as of version 1.23.132.0:
Achievement/Trophy Rewards
[AS-17194] Fixed a bug with some achievement rewards that were unlocked while offline getting relocked the next time players connected online. This will not retroactively unlock items whose achievements were already completed, so players will either need to complete the required actions again, or contact player support for help.
Controller
[AS-17152] Fixed a bug where players using a controller could not close the Qbit store menu (this did not affect Switch players)
Snails
[AS-16311] Fixed a bug where Enoki’s (Atrox Snail) buff would get removed when the player sits in any seat
[AS-17157] Fixed the issue where a resource nugget could get stuck in the Xenobiology Lab
[AS-17199] Slotting a seed on top of Enoki’s terrarium no longer causes the buff to stack, giving players super speed and jump height
Crashes
Fixed various crashes: [AS-17173], [AS-17174], [AS-17177], [AS-17178]
Dedicated Servers
[AS-17198] Fixed an issue where compass navpoints were not properly showing up on servers. This could still happen occasionally, but should be less frequent, and can be worked around by restarting the server.
Audio
[AS-17155] Reverb has been restored to cavern layers on all platforms, except for Switch, where this is intentionally disabled for performance reasons.
Localization
[AS-17147] Fixed a bug in the Astropedia on the Sylva page where the Japanese translation for power would extend past the bounds of the box
[AS-17041] Fixed an inconsistency in Dutch, where two different words were being used as the translation for Compound
[AS-11905] Fixed an incorrect translation for the gas canisters in Spanish
[AS-17142] New Japanese translation for “Steel”

[AS-17117] Fixed a bug where there was an incorrect translation in Dutch on the Glacio planet tooltip in the solar system view. This translation error was giving players bad info about power sources on Glacio.
The following is still a known issue as of version 1.23.132.0:
[AS-17175] For Steam players: There were a number of crashes related to players who had a mod loader installed. Astroneer doesn’t support mods, so if you are having persistent crash issues, make sure you disable any installed mods. This shouldn’t impact players without mods so if you are crashing don’t hesitate to reach out to us at support@systemera.net!
[AS-17197] Clients cannot interact with oxygenator on the Xenobiology lab when it’s packaged. This can be worked around by 1. Hosts interacting with the packaged item (if not on a server) 2. Using an auto-arm to remove the packaged item or 3. Using a proximity repeater to open the packaged item
“Space Snails” are now a part of the universe of Astroneer. Players have the opportunity to gain these unique and highly adaptable creatures as permanent companions that also give benefits to their caretakers.
Full Tummies & Companion Benefits
Each Galastropod loves treats and will become extra happy and energized when fed. While a Galastropod is full, players receive a unique benefit to aid in their adventures. Galastropods also have favorite foods which will extend the duration of their benefit when fed.
Adventure Mode Story
Begin a new adventure to retrieve unique Galastropoda specimens and investigate the mystery behind their appearance.
Update-Specific Intro Cinematic
We’ve added a new cinematic that will display the first time players start the game after receiving this update. This doesn’t replace the original intro cinematic for brand new players, which will still play their first time.
New Missions
Fresh content has been added to the early game to launch players on a journey of snail discovery across the solar system!
Mission Items + Recall Rewards
Certain new missions now have required items and/or permanent rewards. Both of these allow players to respawn them at the nearest landing pad for their convenience (or if they’ve misplaced them). Mission items are limited to a single item per save, while permanent rewards are available as a single item per player.
Creative Mode
Galastropods are immediately available for access in Creative Mode via the Catalog in the “Discoveries” tab (second from the right).
This update coincides with the release of Astroneer for Nintendo Switch and serves as its Day One patch. Physical copies of Astroneer contain content up through Update 19; players will need to connect and download this update to also receive any changes from the intervening releases.
Astroneer’s Third Anniversary
Wow! It's been almost three years since 1.0… can you believe it?! This February, we’ve got a celebratory cosmetic to share with players, from our heart to your head. Players logging in during a specific Anniversary time frame will get it for free – watch our socials for more details (Twitter, Discord, etc.)!

A wide variety of performance efforts have been undertaken to support the Switch release and to generally improve player experience for every platform. Players should notice improved loading times, especially on consoles.
"Sticky” Terrain Fix
We’ve literally moved the heavens to fix the issue some players experience which cause them to get “stuck” at seemingly random points while moving. This fix only applies to new saves for the time being; old saves should be unaffected.
Hazardous Flora Farming
All hazardous flora has been updated to produce multiple seeds to allow for easier cultivation. Seed growth times have also been reduced (to feed your hungry snails!)
Orbital View
Planets have a larger collision volume when selecting them from solar system view, which should make them easier to select, especially when using a controller
Updated Localization
Japanese, Korean, Simplified Chinese

[AS-7163] Fixed a bug where Spaceport POIs were either not spawning at all or at greatly reduced rates. Players should now see these much more frequently!
EXO Dynamics is once again requesting the help of Astroneers for a holiday toy drive! Retrieve scattered toys from errant shipping containers or print your own for delivery via the EXO Request Platform module.
Container crash sites have been reported on Sylva, Desolo, Calidor, and Glacio with numerous toys scattered about. Industrious Astroneers can create fresh toys via the Small Printer using Scrap and other resources.
Some unique containers have been spotted on Sylva, Desolo, and Calidor which weren’t included on known shipping manifests. Weird.
Packaged toys are worth different point amounts when shipped:

This hotfix addresses and acknowledges a few minor issues discovered in The Fall Update and will be available to players on all platforms today, Tuesday, October 5, 2021.
Bugs
The following is still a known issue as of version 1.21.128.0:
[AS-16698] Dynamite slotted on the terrain tool can be activated by sensors and repeaters
[AS-16660] In some saves, Sturdysquash may spawn inside of other Sturdysquash and Cauldrangeas may spawn inside of previous event spawns
[AS-15017] Some players may have an older version of the EXO Request Platform rocket. To work around this, you can repackage and unpackage the EXO Request Platform.
The following bugs have been fixed as of version 1.21.128.0:
[AS-16675] Fixed a bug where auto arms would turn off if the item they were trying to grab was destroyed or otherwise made unavailable
[AS-16667] Updated the Trade Platform hologram in the Research Catalog to use the new model
[AS-16687] Fixed an issue where the Smiling Spookysquash wasn’t properly lit once fully grown
The Fall Update is here and this season's EXO F.A.R.M Event has begun, try using the new Proximity Repeater to help you sow Sturdysquash Seeds and unlock fun new cosmetic rewards. The Trade Platform now also accepts Astronium in exchange for useful items and resources. Read on for more Fall Update details, including the addition of Steam Cloud Saves and what you need to know.
Update 1.21.127.0 will be live on all platforms Wednesday, September 15, 2021.
EXO F.A.R.M. Event
Grab your fellow Astroneers and use your expertise to assist EXO Dynamics in the Fuel Acquisition, Renewal & Maintenance event! Seasonal Sturdysquash have sprouted in the solar system and it’s up to you to cultivate and harvest them. Combine their valuable produce inside unique Cauldrangea plants to create valuable biofuel to send to EXO.
Find Wild Sturdysquash that can be harvested for their seeds on Sylva, Calidor, or Atrox; use these seeds to grow offspring that yield Sturdysquash Samples
Each of the featured planets have a unique variety of Wild Sturdysquash which yield different quantities of seeds
Sturdysquash Samples can be placed in Medium and Large Resource Canisters to keep your farms tidy
Locate Cauldrangea plants on Sylva, Calidor, or Atrox – but beware of the hazards that tend to grow nearby! Use the Cauldrangeas to produce one of three types of biofuel.
Compass navpoints appear to indicate nearby Cauldrangea.
Cauldrangea can be interacted with to cycle through their current biofuel recipe for production.
Each of the featured planets have a unique variety of Cauldrangea with different production speeds.
Different biofuels can be produced using different ingredients; the rarer the ingredients, the more the produced biofuel is worth:
Useful incremental rewards are included along the way to bolster your harvesting capabilities. Randomized recurring rewards are available after completing the event – including QT-RTGs & EXO Chips! – for those who want to continue to produce biofuels.
Proximity Repeater
A new activation item is available in the Catalog. Unlike other sensors and repeaters, the Proximity Repeater activates all items within its radius instead of requiring the use off segment pins. This makes it great for quick automation setups, or in cases where wired connections aren’t practical, such as planting seeds, scanning research items, or bulk packaging and unpackaging.

Trade Platform Updates
The Trade Platform has received an overhaul to expand its capabilities – it also has a new look!
The Trade Platform now allows players to trade Astronium for a variety of valuable items in addition to its previous Scrap trades.
The control panel interface has received an update to allow for selecting between Scrap, Astronium, and their various trades items.
The base model and associated rocket have been updated to bring them more in line with other EXO modules.
Slotting system behavior has been updated to allow for better loading / unloading when coupled with platforms and storage.
Minor text changes have been made to the description and Astropedia entry to tie this module less exclusively to Scrap.
Tutorial Removal
The tutorial is no longer available and cannot be accessed from the Main Menu.
The Achievement/Trophy “EXO Dynamics Training Seal of Approval” is now rewarded on completion of the mission “Printing Up”. This has no effect on players who already earned this.
Previously completing the “Printing Up” mission before this update will not unlock the Achievement/Trophy. If you did not unlock the Achievement/Trophy for “EXO Dynamics Training Seal of Approval” by completing the tutorial, you would now need to complete the “Printing Up” mission to unlock it, even if you had previously done the mission before this update. This may require starting a new Adventure game.
Astropedia Update
A new Astropedia page has been added explaining Damage, Respawning, and Retrieving Supplies.
Tether Toppers
Fall harvest-themed decorations now automatically adorn your tether posts. Enjoy festive, glowing gourds as you trot across the landscape!
Steam Cloud Saves
Steam Cloud Saves have been enabled allowing users to back up 10,000 files or 1GB (Whichever occurs first)
Due to how cloud saves are handled users must choose to upload or delete Due to how cloud saves are handled users must choose to upload or delete mismatch save data, there is currently no option to merge the cloud with your local saves if they differ. Saves with the same name could cause a conflict, we recommend giving each save a unique name prior to uploading files to the cloud. Check out the Steam Cloud FAQ here.
Save data will be checked upon launch and uploaded to the cloud after exiting the game
All flora hazards now have a highlight state and tooltip information – not just the harmless versions.
Harmless hazards can now be harvested directly through an action and don’t require players to unbury them.
Seed despawn timers have been increased to ~10 minutes.
Seeds can now be planted via sensors and repeaters, and without the need to manually place them on terrain.
Sturdysquash Samples and biofuels produced from Cauldrangea can be researched in the Research Chamber for bytes.
Small research sample items can now be scanned using sensors and repeaters

[AS-9357] Fixed a bug where the “EXO Dynamics Solar System Mastery” Trophy had a typo in the title
Hey all! This hotfix is right on the edge of a hotfix and an update, as we are including some changes to the Jet Powered update that should help make sure the update is working as intended.
Updates and Tuning
Increased likelihood of getting 2 or 3 EXO chips from an EXO Cache
Dynamite can now spawn on wrecked rovers and platform POIs
Increased server bandwidth limits, which should result in improved connection and load times on dedicated servers
Improved terrain performance on dedicated servers
Hoverboard and VTOL now appear in the catalog with the explainer that Mission completion is required to unlock them
Updated some of the mission description text to make objective requirements clearer
While we really like EXO Chips, especially because they add some gameplay for Dynamite, we also want to make sure that people don't feel like their hard work opening caches was not yielding enough of a reward. The tuning changes should make sure that you should be receiving more chips more often. EXO Chips are just another new resource, but with a different way of obtaining them!
Also, while we didn't talk about this in the initial update, we are exploring ways we can add more options for obtaining chips for those Astroneers who really don't want to leave their bases. More on that soon!
Bugs
The following are still known issues as of version 1.20.274.0:
[AS-15682] There may still be some instances where mission objects don’t spawn on Vesania or Desolo, however in these cases the mission objectives should auto-complete to avoid being unable to complete the mission.

The following bugs have been fixed as of version 1.20.274.0:
Vehicle Missions
[AS-15366] Vehicle Data Recorders and EXO Caches can now be blown up by dynamite that is not directly attached to it
[AS-15682] Players whose Data Recorders and MATs fail to spawn should now have their objective auto-complete to unstick their mission progress
[AS-15654] Updated some of the mission description text to make objective requirements clearer
Miscellaneous
[AS-15256] Fixed a bug where objects would not be destroyed by dynamite if detonated with more than one piece of dynamite attached
[AS-15661] Fixed a bug in the hologram tooltips for Wolframite and Titanite, which incorrectly stated they were produced by a smelting furnace
[AS-15668] Fixed a spelling error in English in the mission objective for the “Through the Looking Glass” mission

[AS-15600] Fixed a bug where the VFX on the VTOL thrusters were slightly misaligned while flying
[AS-15602] Fixed the VTOL tooltip to be more centered on the VTOL object

Data Recorders Unique EXO Caches that must be located and “turned off” to activate their paired MAT processing station.
MATs (Material Analysis Transmitters) Processing and broadcast hubs that consume various requests to determine optimal construction methods for vehicle schematics. May require a wide variety of materials for proper analysis… and are also somewhat unstable.
EXO Chips
A new rare resource has been added that can be found on all planets contained in secure EXO Caches.

Features
Mission Log
New control panel used to track missions and progress of objectives
Missions Logs attached to Landing Pads are used to claim physical rewards
A Backpack Mission Log is accessible via the new Action Wheel interface and can be used to claim Bytes & schematic rewards
Rewards
Missions provide a variety of rewards including Bytes, schematic unlocks, and physical items
Rewards must be claimed at a Landing Pad
Notifications
UI toasts and tags appear when there are changes in mission or objective status, or new missions are available to pursue
Big Power
Multiple new power generating items along with a full rebalance of power generation and consumption.
Rewarded by missions and rarely found while exploring. Provides 1U of power!
Compass
The compass has been completely revamped and enhanced with dynamic navpoint tracking!
Object Tracking: Certain objects (such as Shelters and Beacons) are automatically tracked.
Compass Navpoints: The closest objects of each type are displayed on the compass as navpoints, showing the distance, elevation, and direction to each object.
True North: North on the Compass now points to the correct pole of the planet.
Odd Stone Labels: Chambers on the Odd Stone are now labeled with their location on the planet (North, South, Equator).
Enhanced Probe Scanner: The Probe Scanner now displays a navpoint for the probe it is tracking whenever the Scanner is active.
Following the success of the emote wheel, we’ve added a new interface for accessing a core set of tools through a single key/button.
Actions
Catalog (Still available through the dedicated shortcut key/button)
Mission Log
Compass
Drone (Creative Mode only)
Terrain Tool Menu (Creative Mode only)
Quality of Life Changes
Along with the Compass and Mission Log, the Catalog can at last be opened while seated in a Shelter or Vehicle, when opened through the Action Wheel.
Selection Wheel Improvements
The Action Wheel adds some usability improvements that we’ve also extended to the Emote Wheel.
Hold/Toggle Option: Added a menu option to open selection wheels with a key/button press, instead of a hold. Selections are made by pressing the selection wheel key/button a second time, instead of releasing the held key/button.
Quick Access: The last selected option can be reactivated by tapping a selection wheel key/button.
EXO Salvage Initiative
The EXO Salvage Initiative returns for a limited time! Assist EXO in cleaning up debris items and shipping them off using the Request Platform. Collect, package, and export!
EXO now accepts Scrap resource nuggets as well, so industrious Astroneers can put their automated shredders lines to use.
EXO Dynamics will give rewards for participation, these include:
“Salvage Throwback” Bundle – Rewarded for reaching 1500 Points
Contains cosmetics rewarded from the previous year:
“Turret-a-porter” (Mask)
“4ML A-TYRE” (Hat)
“Salvage Chic” (Palette)
NEW “Wired” Hat – Rewarded for reaching 5000 Points
NEW “Going Green” Palette – Rewarded for reaching 8000 Points
Useful incremental rewards along the way and randomized recurring rewards at the end of the event – including QT-RTGs!
Customization Menu
