This hotfix addresses and acknowledges a few minor issues discovered in The Fall Update and will be available to players on all platforms today, Tuesday, October 5, 2021.
Bugs
The following is still a known issue as of version 1.21.128.0:
[AS-16698] Dynamite slotted on the terrain tool can be activated by sensors and repeaters
[AS-16660] In some saves, Sturdysquash may spawn inside of other Sturdysquash and Cauldrangeas may spawn inside of previous event spawns
[AS-15017] Some players may have an older version of the EXO Request Platform rocket. To work around this, you can repackage and unpackage the EXO Request Platform.
The following bugs have been fixed as of version 1.21.128.0:
[AS-16675] Fixed a bug where auto arms would turn off if the item they were trying to grab was destroyed or otherwise made unavailable
[AS-16667] Updated the Trade Platform hologram in the Research Catalog to use the new model
[AS-16687] Fixed an issue where the Smiling Spookysquash wasn’t properly lit once fully grown
The Fall Update is here and this season's EXO F.A.R.M Event has begun, try using the new Proximity Repeater to help you sow Sturdysquash Seeds and unlock fun new cosmetic rewards. The Trade Platform now also accepts Astronium in exchange for useful items and resources. Read on for more Fall Update details, including the addition of Steam Cloud Saves and what you need to know.
Update 1.21.127.0 will be live on all platforms Wednesday, September 15, 2021.
EXO F.A.R.M. Event
Grab your fellow Astroneers and use your expertise to assist EXO Dynamics in the Fuel Acquisition, Renewal & Maintenance event! Seasonal Sturdysquash have sprouted in the solar system and it’s up to you to cultivate and harvest them. Combine their valuable produce inside unique Cauldrangea plants to create valuable biofuel to send to EXO.
Find Wild Sturdysquash that can be harvested for their seeds on Sylva, Calidor, or Atrox; use these seeds to grow offspring that yield Sturdysquash Samples
Each of the featured planets have a unique variety of Wild Sturdysquash which yield different quantities of seeds
Sturdysquash Samples can be placed in Medium and Large Resource Canisters to keep your farms tidy
Locate Cauldrangea plants on Sylva, Calidor, or Atrox – but beware of the hazards that tend to grow nearby! Use the Cauldrangeas to produce one of three types of biofuel.
Compass navpoints appear to indicate nearby Cauldrangea.
Cauldrangea can be interacted with to cycle through their current biofuel recipe for production.
Each of the featured planets have a unique variety of Cauldrangea with different production speeds.
Different biofuels can be produced using different ingredients; the rarer the ingredients, the more the produced biofuel is worth:
Useful incremental rewards are included along the way to bolster your harvesting capabilities. Randomized recurring rewards are available after completing the event – including QT-RTGs & EXO Chips! – for those who want to continue to produce biofuels.
Proximity Repeater
A new activation item is available in the Catalog. Unlike other sensors and repeaters, the Proximity Repeater activates all items within its radius instead of requiring the use off segment pins. This makes it great for quick automation setups, or in cases where wired connections aren’t practical, such as planting seeds, scanning research items, or bulk packaging and unpackaging.

Trade Platform Updates
The Trade Platform has received an overhaul to expand its capabilities – it also has a new look!
The Trade Platform now allows players to trade Astronium for a variety of valuable items in addition to its previous Scrap trades.
The control panel interface has received an update to allow for selecting between Scrap, Astronium, and their various trades items.
The base model and associated rocket have been updated to bring them more in line with other EXO modules.
Slotting system behavior has been updated to allow for better loading / unloading when coupled with platforms and storage.
Minor text changes have been made to the description and Astropedia entry to tie this module less exclusively to Scrap.
Tutorial Removal
The tutorial is no longer available and cannot be accessed from the Main Menu.
The Achievement/Trophy “EXO Dynamics Training Seal of Approval” is now rewarded on completion of the mission “Printing Up”. This has no effect on players who already earned this.
Previously completing the “Printing Up” mission before this update will not unlock the Achievement/Trophy. If you did not unlock the Achievement/Trophy for “EXO Dynamics Training Seal of Approval” by completing the tutorial, you would now need to complete the “Printing Up” mission to unlock it, even if you had previously done the mission before this update. This may require starting a new Adventure game.
Astropedia Update
A new Astropedia page has been added explaining Damage, Respawning, and Retrieving Supplies.
Tether Toppers
Fall harvest-themed decorations now automatically adorn your tether posts. Enjoy festive, glowing gourds as you trot across the landscape!
Steam Cloud Saves
Steam Cloud Saves have been enabled allowing users to back up 10,000 files or 1GB (Whichever occurs first)
Due to how cloud saves are handled users must choose to upload or delete Due to how cloud saves are handled users must choose to upload or delete mismatch save data, there is currently no option to merge the cloud with your local saves if they differ. Saves with the same name could cause a conflict, we recommend giving each save a unique name prior to uploading files to the cloud. Check out the Steam Cloud FAQ here.
Save data will be checked upon launch and uploaded to the cloud after exiting the game
All flora hazards now have a highlight state and tooltip information – not just the harmless versions.
Harmless hazards can now be harvested directly through an action and don’t require players to unbury them.
Seed despawn timers have been increased to ~10 minutes.
Seeds can now be planted via sensors and repeaters, and without the need to manually place them on terrain.
Sturdysquash Samples and biofuels produced from Cauldrangea can be researched in the Research Chamber for bytes.
Small research sample items can now be scanned using sensors and repeaters
Bugs
The following is still a known issue as of version 1.21.127.0:

Hey all! This hotfix is right on the edge of a hotfix and an update, as we are including some changes to the Jet Powered update that should help make sure the update is working as intended.
Updates and Tuning
Increased likelihood of getting 2 or 3 EXO chips from an EXO Cache
Dynamite can now spawn on wrecked rovers and platform POIs
Increased server bandwidth limits, which should result in improved connection and load times on dedicated servers
Improved terrain performance on dedicated servers
Hoverboard and VTOL now appear in the catalog with the explainer that Mission completion is required to unlock them
Updated some of the mission description text to make objective requirements clearer
While we really like EXO Chips, especially because they add some gameplay for Dynamite, we also want to make sure that people don't feel like their hard work opening caches was not yielding enough of a reward. The tuning changes should make sure that you should be receiving more chips more often. EXO Chips are just another new resource, but with a different way of obtaining them!
Also, while we didn't talk about this in the initial update, we are exploring ways we can add more options for obtaining chips for those Astroneers who really don't want to leave their bases. More on that soon!
Bugs
The following are still known issues as of version 1.20.274.0:
[AS-15682] There may still be some instances where mission objects don’t spawn on Vesania or Desolo, however in these cases the mission objectives should auto-complete to avoid being unable to complete the mission.
[AS-15762] There are a few item and resource tooltips in the tutorial that are missing translations for non-English languages
The following bugs have been fixed as of version 1.20.274.0:
Vehicle Missions
[AS-15366] Vehicle Data Recorders and EXO Caches can now be blown up by dynamite that is not directly attached to it
[AS-15682] Players whose Data Recorders and MATs fail to spawn should now have their objective auto-complete to unstick their mission progress
[AS-15654] Updated some of the mission description text to make objective requirements clearer
Miscellaneous
[AS-15256] Fixed a bug where objects would not be destroyed by dynamite if detonated with more than one piece of dynamite attached
[AS-15661] Fixed a bug in the hologram tooltips for Wolframite and Titanite, which incorrectly stated they were produced by a smelting furnace
[AS-15668] Fixed a spelling error in English in the mission objective for the “Through the Looking Glass” mission

New Missions
New missions have been added for investigating experimental EXO Dynamics data. Curious Astroneers will navigate to Desolo and Vesania to recover this information and synthesize schematics for crafting new vehicles!
Compass navpoints have been integrated to aid in locating mission-critical points of interest:
Data Recorders Unique EXO Caches that must be located and “turned off” to activate their paired MAT processing station.
MATs (Material Analysis Transmitters) Processing and broadcast hubs that consume various requests to determine optimal construction methods for vehicle schematics. May require a wide variety of materials for proper analysis… and are also somewhat unstable.
EXO Chips
A new rare resource has been added that can be found on all planets contained in secure EXO Caches.
EXO Cache These secure containers can be destroyed with dynamite, releasing an EXO Chip on destruction. Found on all planets, use your compass to track down their locations.

Fixed periodic frame hitching due to services calls by making them asynchronous
Improved Shuttle Controls While orbiting a planet, you can adjust your speed to avoid long waits or missed opportunities. (Adjusting orbit speed doesn't consume fuel).
The doubled up 'Launch' action has been split into 'Launch into Orbit' and 'Launch to Another Planet', which will launch the shuttle directly into the 'Planet Orbit View' or 'Solar System View', respectively. (You can back out of launching to another planet by selecting the planet you're currently orbiting).

As we enter our 5th year of live development, we first off want to thank everyone who has supported us from the start of our pre-alpha days! We hope you all can feel like you helped us make an amazing title with your suggestions and support during Early Access.
This year in the Steam Awards, we would love it if you would consider nominating us in the Labor of Love category. Since 1.0, we have updated the game 43 times, including awesome named updates like The Automation Update, adding Creative Mode, celebrating the Apollo Mission in game, and expanding on the Astroneer story with missions like the Wanderer.
Going further back, we have updated Astroneer 83 times, including Early Access where we took the game from a prototype to a fully featured game with your help.
If you actually want to see our progress, we made a video of the first ever prototype till 1.0 that you can check out here:
We've come a long way, and we are going to keep adding new awesome features to Astroneer in 2021.
Players on all platforms should receive this update today, October 19th 2020!
Updates
EXO Biofuel Obtainment Operation New plant species have been detected on Atrox which are capable of generating potential biofuels from other flora. This species – designated “Cauldrangea” – appears to only appear for a short period of time. Beware that these Cauldrangea are protected by new dangerous Hazards.
Astroneers are asked to harvest specific ingredients for the Cauldrangea to… digest… and send the plant’s output in stages. EXO Dynamics will reward these efforts with new cosmetics and useful items along the way. Points are only given for the stage you're currently on – braving the wilds of Atrox is better with friends!
Event Rewards
“Hallowed Helm” Hat - Rewarded for completing the Squasholine Stage
“Endless” Visor - Rewarded for completing the Attapetrol Stage
“PUM-KN Shelter” Module - Rewarded for completing the Noxothane Stage
Useful incremental rewards along the way
Randomized recurring rewards from at the end of the event
