Community Announcements - MissMurder

That's right- LawBreakers is coming to RTX! We’ve been at several events this year and this one is going to rock just as hard. First and foremost the game will be playable at the Twitch booth {Booth #479) each day with our new map and new mode! On Friday and Saturday we will be streaming for one hour each day with the Boss Key Crew commentating on the match LIVE via the Twitch channel and main page.

On Saturday we are HYPED to tell you that at 5PM Central Time time there will be a fight to the death between Funhaus and Achievement Hunter! Place your bets now folks. This also will be streamed for you to watch on the Rooster Teeth Twitch channel.

And of course- we will be there handing out Alpha Codes, doing giveaways, all that good community stuff. So let us know if you’re going! If you’re not, don’t worry you can catch the streams and participate in our giveaways via social.

Stay tuned for more details. We will be updating this post with exact times and dates for where you can tune in.

Closed Alpha Patch Notes - 0.3 [June 23, 2016]

Attention LawBreakers,

Welcome to Closed Alpha Patch 0.3, the one where we bump base movement speed up for all roles. We’ve heard what you have to say about this and we’re putting changes into the game! This is the first step of a larger tuning pass on “game feel” that we'll be working on over the next few weeks. For now, we want to drop these changes and gather some feedback. We'll be watching to see how the increased speed affects the game overall, so let us know what you think via the forums, Discord or the follow-up survey after the test ends.

We're also pleased with how Enforcer has fared so far without ADS, so we're going to leave him as-is while we continue to work on future changes for the Aerator and Badger.

Closed Alpha Times

Saturday, June 25

US East Coast: 1 PM to 7 PM EDT
US West Coast: 10 AM to 4 PM PDT
London: 6 PM to Midnight BST (UTC +1)
Berlin/Paris: 7 PM to 1 AM Sunday CEST (UTC +2)
Sydney: 3 AM Sunday to 9 AM Sunday AEST (UTC +10)

Now, here are the specifics:

Core Gameplay

Titan base speed increased from 700 to 800
Enforcer base speed increased from 700 to 800
Vanguard base speed increased from 800 to 850
Assassin base speed increased from 800 to 900

Healing

Health stations ramp up over time, gaining 10 bonus healing each tick

Assassin

Romerus charged shot damage per projectile reduced from 35 to 30
Romerus ideal damage range reduced from 25 to 20 units

Titan

Self damage multiplier with the rocket launcher reduced from 75% to 50% (Rocket Jumps!)

Front End Menus

Improved region detection
Improved "Friends Online" status display
New green icon next to party members in the lobby

General

Various video memory optimizations
Now running on Shipping config for better performance
Various in-game chat fixes

Known Issues

Major Issues

Profanity Filter does not work
Stats are not saved for Players that leave a match before the match ends
With mouse trails on, the mouse cursor does not display on the Front End

Minor Issues

If player is "gibbed" (explodes by rocket or Starfall) while holding the battery, the battery will disappear. You can still stand on the icon and pick it up in which case it will reappear
Map name in lobby screen displays "Untitled #" during warm-up phase
Some Icons remain displayed on the Victory/Defeat screen
Hit marker pips display when player spectator takes damage right before you respawn
Battery Capture message sometimes out of order when immediately capturing battery after pickup
Death-cam HUD sometimes missing after switching Roles
In-game chat messages do not show up on Deathcam

Closed Alpha Patch Notes - 0.2 [June 17, 2016]

Greetings LawBreakers,

Welcome to Closed Alpha Patch 0.2, featuring a whole lot of fixes, some balance changes, and few new additions.

The biggest change we've made this patch is removing Aim Down Sight (ADS) from Enforcer's weapons. We've received a lot of feedback on the Aerator, specifically around its lack of unique and interesting mechanics. We've also seen overall negative effects of high precision, high rate of fire hit-scan damage at long range. We'll be spending the next few weeks hammering on ideas for where to go with the Aerator, and in the meantime we've removed ADS to gather data and feedback on how Enforcer fares without it. As for the Badger, ADS was basically useless, so we'll be looking to add a new right click for it in the coming weeks. We'd love you to drop by Discord (https://discordapp.com/invite/0zkX7vahALB3hshU) or right here in the forums and let us know what you'd like to see!

We've also received a ton of feedback about base movement speed and punishing cooldown times. We hear you, and we've begun running internal tests with changes to movement and cooldowns. Look for some of these changes to surface in the near future.

Enforcer

Badger aim down sight removed
Aerator aim down sight removed

Aerator base spread reduced from 1.5 to 0.5
Aerator spread recovery time reduced from 0.67 to 0.4 seconds
Aerator max damage per shot increased from 22 to 25, min damage increased from 5 to 8
Bloodhound Rockets lock on time reduced from 0.5 to 0.3 seconds
Bloodhound Rockets lock on range increased from 5000 to 8000 units

Assassin

Flux grenade reduces enemy input acceleration for 1.5 seconds
Improved reliability of grapple attack by reducing overshooting

Overcharge Game Mode

Reduced battery capture radius from 400 to 150 units

Bug Fixes

Fixed GPU driver crash
Fixed lag when transitioning from blind fire to abilities
Fixed bug where Shift key could not be remapped
Fixed bug where grapple would fail near max range
Fixed bug where grapple could mispredict hits on players
Fixed bug that could cause Frenzy not to trigger
Weapons now correctly replicate spread
Hydra now correctly displays all tracers and impact effects
Fixed bug where Hydra reloaded too early
Fixed bug where damage could be dealt through walls
Fixed bug where keyboard and mouse input were lost when disconnecting a gamepad
Various performance improvements
Players in matches that end with less than 4 players per team will automatically re-enter matchmaking

1ST ALPHA TEST WEEKEND HAS ARRIVED: JUNE 18 AND JUNE 19!

The LawBreakers Team is ready to begin opening the flood gates for our Closed Public Alpha tests over the next few months. Below is everything you need to know to before you join the first test this weekend after signing up at www.lawbreakers.com :

Public Alpha #1
- June 18, 2016 from 9:00am to 9:00pm PDT
- June 19, 2016 from 6:00am to 6:00pm PDT
- Playable Content: Grandview Map, Overcharge Game Mode, 4 Roles (8 Characters)

We will continuously add new in-game content over the course of the Public Alpha test period. If you don’t get in now, be patient - many more tests and key giveaways will happen! Each player who receives an Alpha key will be allowed to participate in every Public Alpha test, so don’t act-up and get the ol’ Banhammer (play nice)! Alpha keys are currently being sent via email, so keep an eye on your inbox throughout the Public Alpha test period. Unfortunately, some email filters are too virtuous for the brutality in LawBreakers, so be sure to check your spam filters or whitelist our email address: info@lawbreakers.nexon.net.

Feedback during the Public Alpha Test period is key to the game’s success. We’re giving players a number of ways to communicate problems with the game or give us ideas to improve the gaming experience. Our LawBreakers Forum is the best way to provide intel. Even better, players can participate in a survey that will follow each test. Lastly, Alpha players can give their thoughts through the Discord chat app. Joining the Discord chat channel during each test allows players to provide feedback, resolve an issue or just hang out with the guys and girls making LawBreakers. A link to the Discord chat channel will be provided through Alpha Acceptance Emails.

Finally, accepted players should check out the System Requirements section on the LawBreakers Steam Page before redeeming their Alpha key. LawBreakers is built to run best on the recommended spec, but we would still like to hear from anyone giving it a go on a lower performing system.

I’ve been holidaying far from computers for a good while now, and LawBreakers [official site] is the perfect entry point back into the world of PC games. Two recent videos highlight the verticality of the arenas in which teams will battle in this first-person competitive battler. My interest levels have been high since our first hands-on preview, which managed to transform my thoughts about the game from “why would I play this?” to “when can I play this?”. The answer, I suspect, is in a couple of weeks time at E3.
