Sentinels of the Multiverse - MigrantP
Many villains threatening the Multiverse have been bested by hero teams like the Freedom Five, Dark Watch or Prime Wardens. Some of them have seen the value of cooperating towards a common goal. They have joined forces to defeat the heroes who have harried them for so long!

http://store.steampowered.com/app/467512/Sentinels_of_the_Multiverse__Villains_of_the_Multiverse/

The Villains of the Multiverse mega-expansion is now available from the Get Expansion Packs screen. It includes 10 Team Mode villains, which can be faced in any configuration and combined with Vengeance villains, as well as 4 exciting new environments.

Season Pass 2 owners will automatically receive Villains of the Multiverse.

If you don't have Season Pass 2 yet, you can still get it and save money on the final 3 mega-expansions and 2 mini packs.

This update includes many more improvements and bug fixes, including:
  • There are two new variants to discover! Requires Shattered Timelines and/or Vengeance.
  • Find out more about the Multiverse with extra information links on each hero, villain, and environment. Each deck in the Multiverse now links to the related official wiki pages, Letters Page episodes, strategy guides, and statistics summaries.
  • See the full size artwork on any character card with the new button that toggles card text.
  • The way expansions work in multiplayer has changed to make it easier for new players to join the community, and for friends to join your games. Now by default, anyone can join any game, and the expansions available to play will depend on what everyone in the game owns.
  • Fixed a problem where Omnitron-U's innate power was unaffected by temporary effects (e.g. Legacy's innate power).
  • Fixed some problems related to Challenge Mode Spite: Agent of Gloom.

Note: Challenge Mode is not yet available for Villains of the Multiverse decks and Trickster Kismet. It will be added in a future update.

Sentinels of the Multiverse - MigrantP
As you are reading this, version 2.4 of Sentinels with Challenge Mode has been released for your gaming indulgence. First off, we want to say a huge thank you to everyone that came together to unlock the stretch goal during the Season 2 campaign. We wouldn’t have been able to accomplish anything we have thus far without our unwavering community. The Challenge Mode stretch goal was reached by raising over $110,000 through a combination of Kickstarter and mobile backers, and we’re happy to finally bring it to you. You’re all stellar, and our little Handelabra hearts are grateful you believed in us.

Challenge Mode

So you think Sentinels is too easy? Now, each villain gets another “twist” to their rules, adding that extra delicious layer of strategy to spice up your Sentinels game. And for those who want add even more fire to the flames, Ultimate Mode allows you to play with both the rules from Advanced AND Challenge Mode at the same time. Grand Warlord Voss isn’t being cutesy anymore, oh no, he’s playing the top card of his deck every time he flips. Think you can show him a dose of justice? Or how about The Matriarch who has made all her domain cards indestructible? Or Spite, gaining an unlimited amount of HP? They dare you to try and stop their nefarious ploys!

For the achievement hunters out there, we’ve added two new achievements: Challenge Accepted for defeating all of the core game villains on Challenge Mode, and The Ultimate Hero for defeating all of the core game villains on Ultimate Mode.

You can find out about each challenge mode by reading the full villain cards in the New Game screen or the Multiverse. Or download the PDF made by Greater Than Games here.

Termi-Nation Variants

Just in time to help quell this new wave of villainy, Termi-Nation takes the stand! Searching for the mystery behind Chokepoint, Absolute Zero, Bunker, and Unity work together to uncover some shady business going on before it’s too late. Each hero variant also has sweet new powers to help you vanquish bad dudes:
  • Unity: Reconfigure - Destroy a Mechanical Golem, then shuffle it into your deck. Move a Mechanical Golem from your trash into play. You may draw a card.
  • Bunker: Modulize - Destroy 1 of your Ongoing or Equipment cards. If you do, draw a card, play a card, and use a power in any order.
  • Absolute Zero: Violent Shivers - Until the end of your next turn, increase all damage dealt to and by Absolute Zero by 2.
As usual, the unlock conditions for the Termi-Nation variants are waiting to be discovered by you! Remember, the first person to contact us on Facebook or Twitter with a screenshot showing their successful unlocking of a Variant earns a spot in the Hall of Fame.

Be sure to update your game to version 2.4 to access all this Sentinels goodness. On iOS and Android, re-download your expansion packs (in particular Mini-Pack 1 and Rook City, or Season Pass 1) to make sure you have the latest content.

New Business

Challenge Mode and Termi-Nation should keep you busy for a while, but you’ll be happy to know we’re also hard at work on the next part of Season 2: Villains of the Multiverse. Tune in to #SentinelsLive on Twitch every Tuesday at 7 pm Eastern and you might see some previews soon!

Oh, and one last thing…

(drumroll, please…)

… Handelabra’s taking you out to the ball game! As of today, we are publicly announcing that Bottom of the 9th from Dice Hate Me Games is our next digital tabletop game project. The baseball-themed board and dice game has been under development since the beginning of the year and we couldn’t be more thrilled to tell you about it. When will it be available for your digital tabletop collection? You’ll just have to stay tuned on that one. Head over to http://bot9digital.com/ and join the mailing list to stay posted about how the development is going and when we’ll have a tentative release date (I would say we’re in the 4th inning currently). But for now, we leave you with this trailer to get you on board the hype train!

Sentinels of the Multiverse - MigrantP
This update has plenty of bug fixes to help you keep on saving the Multiverse!
  • Cards that look for the targets with the highest or lowest HP now show you that information when you view the full size card.
  • When a dynamic damage amount changes during the damage dealing event (e.g. redirecting Lightspeed Barrage with Synaptic Interruption) the animation now reflects the change.
  • When a new damage event occurs during a damage dealing event, both animations are now correctly displayed.
  • Fixed a problem with Restart Game and Try Again for the Adamant Sentinels.
  • Entomb once again works correctly when Sky-Scraper is in the game.
  • Fixed problems where Caliginous Form would not work properly with redirected damage or villain targets that were immune to damage.
  • Some players were experiencing significant lag at the start of the second hero turn; this should now be resolved.
  • Many other small bug fixes and improvements have been made.

Baron Blade has long suffered at the hands of self-proclaimed "heroes." No longer! He has gathered a team, the Vengeful Five. Baron Blade will have his Vengeance!

The Vengeance mega-expansion is now available. It includes 5 new heroes, 2 new environments, and a brand new way to play the game against a team of 3-5 villains. There are 3 new hero variants to discover in this expansion!

You can read more about the Vengeance content on our blog

Vengeance is also available as part of Season Pass 2.

http://store.steampowered.com/app/467511/

Season Pass 2 owners will automatically receive Vengeance.

This update includes many more improvements and bug fixes, including:
  • Every environment in the game and expansion packs has 5 new background images to support Vengeance and provide more variety.
  • Any time a card is played out of turn, you now first see the back of the card so you know what deck it belongs to.
  • Prime Wardens Captain Cosmic’s innate power can no longer be “stacked.” You may only draw or play a card if you shuffle the destroyed construct into your deck.
  • The behavior of Shinobi Assassin has been changed so it no longer cancels the draw/reveal/discard/etc that causes it to enter play from the top of a hero deck. For example, if you draw a card and Shinobi Assassin is on top of your deck, first the Assassin comes into play and then you get a card.
  • Fixed a problem where Weekly One-Shot covers could not be awarded properly when playing in multiplayer.
  • Fixed an issue in multiplayer where games could get stuck if the Team Leader disconnected.

2.3.1 Hotfix Update Fixes
  • Fixed a problem where the audio in the game could play without stereo effects.
  • Fixed a glitch where Heroic Infinitor could be incorrectly used in villain team mode.
  • Villain team member names now appear if you turn off character portraits.

Vengeance is almost ready, and we couldn’t be happier to be putting the finishing touches on the first mega-expansion in Season 2 - Sentinels of the Multiverse: Vengeance.

As you know if you’ve been watching #SentinelsLive every week, or catching up on the episodes on our YouTube channel, we’ve been previewing Vengeance for the last month. If you haven’t had a chance to check it out, it looks something like this:

We’ve shown you Baron Blade, Friction, Ermine, Proletariat and Fright Train in several different configurations, we’ve played heroes Parse, K.N.Y.F.E, The Naturalist, and The Sentinels, and we’ve braved the Freedom Tower and Mobile Defense Platform environments. But there’s one big piece of the experience that’s been missing up until now, and that is the music by our in-house maestro, Jean-Marc. As we’re nearing the release of Vengeance, it’s now time to remedy this!

As has become our tradition before a major release, we’re throwing our next listening/viewing party tonight - Tuesday, December 13th on #SentinelsLive. The show begins at 6 PM Eastern (one hour earlier than usual). Join us to be among the first outside the hallowed halls of Handelabra Games to hear the newest sounds of the Multiverse. And trust us when we say - this listening party will be unlike any we’ve had so far. If you can’t watch live, fear not! We always post the episodes to YouTube within a day or two so you won’t be missing out for long.

#CentenariesLive
Aside from the listening party, #SentinelsLive this week is special for another reason - believe it or not, tomorrow will be our 100th episode!

To celebrate, the stream kicks off at 6 PM with 2 special guests, the architects of the Multiverse themselves, Christopher Badell and Adam Rebottaro! Show up right at the top of the show with your Questions of the Multiverse and the creators themselves will be on hand to to answer them (or at least, respond to them in such a way that generates further mystery).

In addition to special guests and the Vengeance Listening/Viewing Party, we’ll also have some giveaways and maybe a surprise or two, in addition to that wonderful #SentinelsLive action you know and love, like Jeremy playing the wrong card while John exasperatedly asks “Why did you do that”?

Not Long Now...

So when can you play Vengeance? All we can tell you right now is… Soon™. But if you want the latest news as it comes, follow us on Twitter or Facebook, tune into #SentinelsLive tomorrow at 6 PM Eastern, or join our mailing list.

If you are already doing one or all of those things, you probably already know about our Holiday Stocking Stuffer Sale. We’re selling special printable Steam Keys that you can print, cut and fold to make a great gift to give that super-someone in your life this holiday season. This promotion is only for Steam as they are designed to be printed and given as gifts and Steam is the only store we work with that makes this sort of thing easy.

We can’t wait for you all to start saving the world from the Vengeful Five, and then it’s on to the next mega-expansion: Villains of the Multiverse.

Happy Holidays from Handelabra Games:
