New Cosmetics:

Red Riding Hood - She is just on her way to deliver some goodies to grandma, she should keep her eyes peeled for a wandering Werewolf though.



Off The Beaten Path - And you thought Red's grandma lived in the middle of nowhere? There is a whole town there!



Lone Wolf - There is no way this little guy is after Red right?



Wolf's Den - I think we found where that Big Bad Wolf is hiding out.




Bug Fixes/Improvements:
Ranked Queue getting stuck at 00:00 when joining at a specific moment has been fixed.
If you joined a new lobby from the endgame screen you were not able to leave the lobby, this has been fixed.
If you clicked accept on the ranked queue and it was unbalanced, you won't be automatically put into the next game without clicking accept anymore.
We now have server side HTML filtering

What is Town of Salem - The Card Game?
Town of Salem - The Card Game is a new way to play Town of Salem with your friends in real life and you only need 3 friends to play! To begin you take out the cards for the roles you want to be in your game, just like when building a Custom Role List. Then you randomly pass out role cards to each player. Players secretly check their role card and then night begins! During the night evil roles will secretly attack players and the good roles can perform their night abilities such as the Doctor healing, the BodyGuard protecting and the Investigator checking players roles. Once the night is over the moderator will announce which players have died and discussion begins! Players may then accuse each other and if a player gets enough accusations against them they must stand trial. If the accused player cannot convince the town of their innocence they are lynched at the gallows and are out of the game! Then the next night phase begins and this repeats until one faction remains.



Town of Salem - The Card Game includes many of your favorite roles as well as some brand new ones! The game will come with 40 cards, a game manual and a beautiful box. Some tiers of the Kickstarter will include a special one time print of unique artwork, signed boxes and cards hand drawn by the creators!

Free Digital Rewards For Backers
As part of the Kickstarter rewards we are going to be giving away unique cosmetics to our backers (and the card game of course). Be sure to check out the Kickstarter as this will be the only chance to get these exclusive cosmetics (they will never be purchasable in the shop). The value of these cosmetics are not added to the pricing tiers of the Kickstarter because they are just a free bonus for supporting us!

We know that card games aren't for everyone but that doesn't mean we forgot about you! A few days after the launch of the Kickstarter we are going to be announcing a free pack of cosmetics called the "Angels & Demons" pack. This pack will be granted to all users who login during the Kickstarter campaign if we can hit a reasonable stretch goal. You do not have to be a backer to get these rewards! We simply encourage you to share the Kickstarter with your friends and be supportive (in spirit) of the campaign.

What will happen if this Kickstarter is over-funded?
Any profits made from this Kickstarter are going to go towards hiring more programmers, artists, designers, and QA for Town of Salem (online). If the card game Kickstarter is successful it will make it much easier for us to expand our small team and get new digital features out faster and more polished.

Why did you spend time on this instead of role balances, new roles, new game features, etc?
Every programmer on the BMG staff has been hard at work developing the mobile version of Town of Salem for the past several months. It is currently in Beta testing and will be live shortly! While our programmers were hard at work our artists and designers found themselves with little to do besides continue making new cosmetics. We decided it would be a lot cooler to have the team make a new card game instead! Since card games are entirely about art and manufacturing it didn't require any programmer time and even through the Kickstarter campaign our programmers will be continuing to work on mobile and patch 1.5.0 (checkout the announcement to see what new features are coming soon!)

What about the emotes and private lobby stretch goals from the Steam/Mobile Kickstarter?
Those features are still coming! Our programming team will be starting on those features as soon as mobile is done (in May).

Hey Townies! Welcome to the Valentine’s Patch for Town of Salem! Check out our new releases and bug fixes for the month of Love.

New Releases:
Cupid Pet – Enlist his help to get the attention of that special someone.

Love Shack – Great spot to bring a date.

New Login Music and changed Login Page – The Cupid pet has invaded the Login page and brought new Login music along with him!

Bug Fixes:
Tutorial – We have decided to remove the required Tutorial for new users as it wasn’t everything we hoped it would be. Bugs in the tutorial and the “versus Bots” aspects led us to remove it. We will release a new improved tutorial at some point in the future.
Server Fixes – Josh (Achilles) has been working tirelessly to improve our stability and performance. We are proud to say the server has not crashed in the past month. Also, after testing, there should be a large decrease in the amount of lagginess in the game.
Mac Steam Fixes – We have fixed a lot of issues surrounding the Mac version of the Steam client. Things should behave just like the Windows version now.
Paypal Improvement – We have seen some people not get the items they bought when buying through Paypal. We are introducing some fixes in this patch should help of these problems with more fixes to come.
