Welcome back to another Dirty Bomb test weekend!

Thanks to a ton of great feedback from the Dirty Bomb community, we’ve made some key updates to the game’s setup (better matchmaking, and it uses Stopwatch!); and set fire to some annoying bugs (say bye-bye to the end of round crash!).

Test Schedule
This weekend is the second of two sessions with a focus on matchmaking and our back-end infrastructure. Dirty Bomb will be online for all the multiplayer mayhem you can eat during the following timeframe:

• Friday, March 6th at 9AM PST/5PM GMT thru Monday, March 9th at 10AM PDT/5PM GMT

Limited Edition Loadout Card!
If you didn’t complete a match during last week’s test, this weekend is your last chance to earn a Limited Edition case containing one of five Obsidian Loadout Cards! You’ll be able to get your hands on it once Dirty Bomb returns.

FAQ
Does Dirty Bomb Feature a Server Browser?
• It does indeed. Veteran players have been using it extensively; however it will be disabled for the most part during these matchmaking tests as we want as many people matchmaking as possible!

Testing the infrastructure, what’s that all about?
• Basically, we’ll be pushing Dirty Bomb’s backend up to, and possibly past, its breaking point during these periods. We’re looking to stress the system to such an extent that we can see which areas need to be strengthened further. If something odd does happen, don’t worry, we’re somewhat expecting that. Be sure to report any issues on the forum though!

Obsidian Loadout Cards? What’re they all about?
• Loadout Cards will be receiving a visual upgrade as well as a new rarity structure that’ll make it much easier to understand rarity values. We’ll have more on that later, but as you can see, Obsidian cards look pretty badass!

Can I invite a friend to a match?
• Not quite yet. We are however developing a system that’ll allow you to easily invite friends to a party, before jumping in-game.

We have excellent news for you! We are sending out a TON of beta keys and we are bringing the game back online during these times:

•Friday, February 20th at 9AM PST/ 5PM GMT thru Monday, February 23rd at 9AM PST/5 PM GMT
•Friday, March 6th at 9AM PST/5PM GMT thru Monday, March 9th at 9AM PST/5PM GMT

But wait, there’s more! Play in at least one match during the tests & receive a Limited Edition Case containing an Obsidian Loadout Card. You will get these bad boys once Dirty Bomb starts up its live service a short time after these test periods have completed.

We not only missed you- we need you. As we enter the next beta phase you will be helping us with stress testing and matchmaking!

Between each session, we’ll be evaluating the test results and implementing changes to improve the experience. You may well see old and definitely new faces showing up during this period, so be sure to welcome everyone with a smile (followed by a swiftly delivered bullet to the brainbox). While game time availability will be limited, we hope that you'll enjoy the wealth of players to demolish during the sessions (but try to go easy on the beginners, eh?).

Good news for the patient types - EVERYONE who signed up for the Closed Beta at www.dirtybombgame.com before January 15th at 11:59PM PST (and all current Beta players) will get an Early-Access Period Beta key prior to the next phase of the Dirty Bomb Closed Beta on Steam.

You’re an awesome bunch and we can’t wait to spend more time on the wrong end of your harsh, cruel gun barrels.
