We just noticed that last update was over the two month ago. Wow, it is long time. And now we are embarrassed that we have delayed the update so long. Seriously, we are also don't like this long waiting. Frequent updates and your feedbacks gives us a lot of enthusiasm, and this is very hard to work without this feeling.
Time to fix it! Let's bring back the frequent news and updates! :)
So, the problem is that the multiplayer is really hard thing, it takes time and we cannot do it faster. Of course we can keep you inform about the progress, but there is nothing to say except "we are finished with *feature name*" and seems like it is not enough for new post.
But! One community member, gave us a good idea. There is on-line service called Trello which will allows you to follow the development progress as we move it forward.
Actually, this is on-line "To Do" lists where each user can login with their Google account and leave the comments or "Like" some specific feature.
Seems like this is a pretty good idea! We are working on the game, but we forget that you don't know about it since there is no news from us. So it is absolutely clear that your impatience may increasing.
We have our local "To Do" lists in text files, but if we will transfer it into the Trello, it should be interesting for you. The lists is not fully completed yet, but we will improve it regulary and of course, update it when we will adding something new in the game. Hope you will like it.

Okay, as you see, the biggest part is finished. Now we already in later phase and already tests it with the testers. But as you can see, there is still some crucial elements which should be done, such as turrets and mining. We hope we finish it in few days.
But we should warn you, the multiplayer will not be fully working right after update. Sure that we need several iterations to bring it into good condition. Plus, some previous features can stops working even in single player. But we will fix it quickly. It is Pre-Alpha after all. :)

We don't have much experience, particularly in multiplayer. This means that we are learning a lot while the development moves forward. For example, we had no idea about orbital mechanics, but we learned and implement it in 2-3 weeks. Now here is a similar situation with the multiplayer.
So far we figured out that multiplayer is pretty simple task if developers wants a game with a fast gameplay, without save\load during the game round. But if we are talking about sandbox game where every player can join during the game - the task becomes slightly more complicated. In that case, we should implement some more complex systems.
Fortunately, those core systems is already implemented. Actually, seems like we already figured out how it should works. For now, players can connect to the server. Fly together on the different ships. Planets and asteroids is correctly synchronized and there is working in-game chat.
But we still need to do a many little tasks. For example, synchronization of weapons, storages, correct ship construction and destruction. Since multiplayer is concerned with all aspects of the game, we cannot release it at the current state, we should bring it to a more finished state.
Besides, there is one unpleasant thing. When we decided that we have finished with all paper work, we are faced with new annoying problems which distract us from development. These problems associated with the unstable situation in our countries, it is very unpleasant, but we hope that soon we will be able to find a solution to work without being distracted by nonsense.
And sorry for no news from us for a long time. We will try to keep you informed.

But probably we will implement some new things together with multiplayer. For example solar panels was improved. Their effectiveness is based on distance from the star and it will gain new model with correct collider of panels. Also we started to develop new interaction system which will allow you to set a hotkey for various actions, for example, deploy solar panels or disable some group of engines.

And one more thing. We are one month in the Steam! Hm... Okay, 37 days. :) 7 days ago we was too busy in the development, but anyway. :) Seems like all going great! We made 9 updates during this time and seems like the game have a very good progress. It had greatly changed since our first trailer, now we have save\load and soon we will have a multiplayer. We were very afraid that people will say that we released the game too early, but all your reviews makes us really happy! Thanks you!

Yes, we want to give you something special as a christmas gift, but since the game in pretty early stage of development, we not sure that we ready to add some christmas stuff. Multiplayer probably will be a better gift, but it still requires some works and we not sure that 5 days is enough to finish it. Anyway, we will keep you in touch!
