Hello Community,

Bug fixes, weapon tweaks and more - it's patch time!
  • Fix to allow the Parachute to be selected using F keys whilst on Ninja Rope
  • Fixed the delay when cancelling replays and position of the camera when returning to gameplay
  • Fixed a bug which prevented players from using utilities in the final second of their turn
  • Fixed a bug where a particle would be seen during a replay following a crate explosion
  • Fixed a bug where controllers were detected following a disconnect
  • Fixed a bug where stats weren’t always updated correctly following a draw
  • Fixed a bug which was sometimes preventing a game from being found if a host lost their connection
  • Fixed a bug which was preventing issues on the UI in the editor after publishing
  • Fixed a bug which prevented some animations from being triggered correctly
  • Made improvements to the camera so it will correctly show damages to worms
  • Made improvements to the post process effects on weapons
  • Players will no longer search indefinitely after failing to join a previous lobby
  • Made a tweak to the Parachute whilst on the Ninja Rope
  • Tweaked the size of the collision on the vehicles
  • Team health bars will now be visible during the hotseat timers
  • Improved the matchmaking experience for when multiple players are searching at similar times
  • Prevented multiple dialog boxes from appearing following a disconnection
  • Players will no longer get multiple dialogs after editing a team
  • Theme names will now be correctly displayed when creating a new lobby after hosting previous match
  • Community tab will now display a breadcrumb trail whenever new information is posted…..stay tuned folks!
We’ve also made some more tweaks to some of the weapons and utilities following some more feedback that we’ve seen from the community:

Air Strike and Demon Strike
Less chance of hitting the higher end of damage

Ninja Rope
Correction for worm spin.

Gas weapons
Fairer initial distribution of gas, environmental factors should still be considered.

Minigun
More spread on recoil, reducing ability to gain max damage

Thanks for the feedback we’ve been getting from you, the Worms community, about how you want Worms W.M.D to continue to evolve. Today’s update brings improvements to performance, bug fixes and a host of balances and tweaks based on the feedback that we’ve been seeing in these forums.

Here’s the full list of changes:

Balances and Tweaks

- Vehicles will now randomly spawn in (5% chance) during Ranked matches instead of at the beginning of the match
- Slightly lowered health of the helicopter (-5 Health)
- Sound of the worm plop increased
- Secondary weapon fuses can now be altered
- The camera will now follow the Sentry Gun Lite when it’s thrown
- Any items under water during sudden death will no longer be visible
- User Generated Content can now be refreshed with a controller
- Girder can now be rotated by holding down a binded key
- Warning beep will now be heard when timer gets too low during Teleport In
- Name and health bars will no longer appear during retreat on rope
- Blow Torch will now destroy barrels when burnt from the top
- Jetpack now has unlimited retreat fuel after placing a girder
- Tweak made to the crafting ingredients for Sheep (-1 Tears of a Worm)
- Tweak made to the crafting ingredients for Jetpack (+1 Banana Bomb Seeds)
- Tweak made to the crafting ingredients for the Mega Buster (+1 Tears of a Worm)
- Tweak made to the crafting ingredients for the Airstrike (+2 Boggy’s Special Sauce)
- Tweaks made to the Cluster Bomb and crafted variants (+2 Boggy's Special Sauce)


Fixes

- Improvements to performance
- Fixed graphical corruption in imported landscapes
- Game stays at the correct resolution after minimising and maximising the game on Linux
- Fixed the issue where the input occurs on the game window when it doesn’t have focus
- Fixed an issue where the camera moved whilst crafting during an opponent’s turn
- Fixed an issue where the camera would look at the location of already exploded barrels
- Fixed an issue with the orientation of worm when blasted from vehicle
- Fixed an issue whereby the turn wasn’t handing over if surrendering worms took damage

Hey there Worm Commanders!

You've been battling away furiously since Tuesday and already many Worms have perished...

From your battles we have been taking on-board your feedback and comments as we continue our plans to make Worms W.M.D the definitive Worms experience.

Today's update focuses on quality of experience and addresses the 'Ranked Mode' points system, game crashes and a certain Jetpack audio bug among other things. Read the full update notes below:

  • A fix has been made to the editor whereby a sprite sheet could be seen when zoomed in
  • Fixed a crash in the editor when selecting ‘New’ after having already imported an image
  • Fixes a crash in the editor when selecting refresh
  • Steam overlay not closing when viewing leaderboards on Linux
  • Fixed debug text appearing when a map can’t be downloaded
  • Fix to an issue where players Ranked Points weren’t being updated correctly
  • Fixed OSX and Linux from going into sleep mode whilst the game is running
  • Fix to the unsaved changes dialog appearing when typing Z or X after making an edit
  • Fixed an issue where cancelling to host a game would affect local lobbies
  • Fixed an issue where the game could crash when pressing F4
  • Fix to the issue where audio could get stuck after a replay
