Intelligence sources have informed Move or Die HQ that the real motive behind Santa’s Naugthy or Nice List is none other than gathering kids’ private information in an attempt to create a mass surveillance network threatening the very core of our Holiday Spirit.
Move or Die can no longer stand by idly while this injustice goes on and has decided to shed some light on the subject through a series of classified leaks titled The Secret Santa Update.
Through intense investigations, we have narrowed down the chain of command to two key players: Secret Santa himself and Snow Dan, the elf whistleblower responsible for bringing the subject to our attention.
In accordance with protocol, they will both be featured as new characters in Move or Die latest update. Intelligence sources have also revealed that Secret Santa’s guerrilla group known as “The Little Helpers” will also have a role to play in future developments.
In order to disseminate this information further, Move or Die higher-ups have also decided to enact a massive 75% discount on the game. Make sure to pass this info along.
This is as much as can be revealed at the moment as there is reason to believe Secret Santa’s office has already been informed of the leaks. Under these circumstances we would still like to wish everyone happy holidays, even though you are most probably being surveilled as we speak.
Wouldn’t you know it, The Steam Awards are upon us once more and that means you, the community, get to nominate your favorite games for certain categories.
As we’re no longer the spring chickens we used to be, we’ve set our eyes on the Labor of Love Award, meant for games that have been out for a while but are still updated with new content on a regular basis. Last year’s winner was GTA V so we’re pretty sure we stand a solid chance to win.
So without further ado, close the polls, but not before you scribble Move or Die on the ballot!
Despite everything going on this year, we still managed to have a little fun. We racked up a lot of student debt, dropped Soapy to raise awareness and learned to argue in a bunch of different languages. We even sold enough copies of the game on Steam to keep the lights on for another year. And speaking of next year, it’s shaping up to be a great one. "Why?", you ask. Because THE FEEDBACK FORM IS BACK, BABY!
That’s right, being the good listeners that we are, we’ve set up a little questionnaire designed to help us help you. It’ll take you less than 5 minutes complete and begin making your Move or Die hopes and dreams come true. Is this over promising? Maybe. Will it make you take the poll? Probably not. But here goes nothing anyway!
Jokes aside, your input means a lot to us and this is one of the better ideas we had regarding player feedback. The last time we did this it really gave us some perspective on what people wanted, so let’s give it another go.
And hey, we'll also pick 5 random winners in about 2 weeks time and reward them with EVERY SKIN in the videogame.
Later edit: the polls are closed! Thanks to everyone that participated, we didn't expect this many answers!
Here's the random winners that got all the skins in Move or Die: guilemus, C1L3D0HCYSP, Shukitax, GhostDragon & ChaosGoat11. Go and show them off to your friends so they can be even more mad at you!
As the most frightful time of the year draws near, we’re giving Move or Die the gruesome makeover you’re accustomed to, complete with bloody splatters, a sinister soundtrack and all the scary visuals needed to turn your frown into a contorted grimace.
And you’re not out of the woods yet. Get ready to jump out of your skin and into two new ones by playing as our new creepy characters - Lupita and Medudesa. One is a were-she-wolf with a taste for teenagers, while the other is a classy dude, ready to rock your world.
Both can be unlocked through the Community Debt Challange!
Another thing that might sneak up on you is the downright scary 75% discount we’re prepping for the occasion.
We’re continuing our localization efforts with some good news for our Turkish fans. Starting today, Move or Die, along with all its bells and whistles, can be experienced in the Turkish language.
But those aren’t the only good news we have for you. We’re celebrating this language update by introducing three new Turkish-themed characters, one tastier than the next. We’ve got a sweet Turkish Delight dude, a scrumptious Baklava boy and a charming Chai kid, all ready to be unlocked via the Community Debt bar.
As per usual with our localization updates, we greatly appreciate the reporting of any language bugs you might encounter. If you find any typos, please don’t hesitate to send us some feedback.
We hope this was a pleasant surprise, not only for our Turkish friends, but for the Move or Die community as a whole. And hey, what better time to get into the game than now, when it's on sale for 75% off!
First and foremost, we would like to thank all of you for taking part in our Free2play Mid-week Madness promotion. It was fun as hell and while the lobbies may have been a bit more crowded than usual, we’re sure the influx of new players was a welcomed surprise for even the most seasoned of Move or Die vets.
In fact, we had so many new users try out our game that we managed to break our all-time peak player count! And that, my friends, is yet again cause for celebration.
As a thank you, we’re adding two more special characters to the Community Debt bar. Everybody, please welcome Yowie and Psyboi from Retimed! They’ll be yours to command if you pitch in to pay your debt and are lucky enough to roll successfully.
Retimed is a multiplayer arena shooter with slow motion action from Team Maniax and Stray Fawn Studio. When a player is in danger, time slows down and a time bubble is created around them, so that they can react in time and dodge the deadly projectiles. Find out more about this fast-paced, tension-filled shooter:
We’d also like to thank the devs and publishers of Retimed, for lending us their characters and joining in on the friendship-ruining fun. To mark the occasion, we’re offering a 20% loyalty discount to everybody that owns Move or Die and wants to buy Retimed.
Once again, thanks a million and see you in the lobby!
There are few things that come in millions - grains of sand on a beach, stars in the universe, friendships ruined by a so-called party game. That’s right, we’ve officially sold over 1.000.000 copies of Move or Die on Steam and are as surprised as you about it. To mark the moment, we’ve scrambled and put together this record-celebrating update in record-breaking time!
Introducing the aptly named One Million Update:
Move or Die, free of charge
We’re making Move or Die completely free during Steam’s Midweek Madness. This means that, between 22-25 September, everybody with a Steam account can play our game for free. It’s the perfect time to introduce some of your friends to Move or Die and then promptly stomp on them, and their dreams.
Reddit AMA with Move or Die’s commander-in-chief
On the 22 September 10 AM PST (aka RIGHT NOW!), Nick (Xelu) Berbece, the man responsible for Move or Die, will be hosting an AMA Session on the front page of /r/games and wants you to ask him all sorts of uncomfortable questions. He really did say that, we pinky swear.
A strapping new character!
Everybody, meet Millie. Everyday he feels like a million bucks, and if you feel that this situation is somewhat unfair to the average joe, please remember to hate the player, not the game. To unlock Millie, all you have to do is play at least one online session of Move or Die during this 22-24 September.
Before we conclude, please know that we are very, very thankful for all of your support in helping us reach the one million mark. We didn’t dream we would make it this far, but here we are. Go ahead and let Nick know your thoughts on the matter during his AMA.
We’re in hectic company with Overcooked and Biped joining Move or Die to bring you the Frantic Frenzy Bundle - a collection of couch-friendly multiplayer games boasting tons of characters, game modes and hours of fun.
Try to beat the heat of a hectic kitchen in Overcooked, learn to never walk alone in Biped and try to literally outrun your own demise in Move or Die.
These games don’t skip a beat and neither should you, because the Frantic Frenzy Bundle launches with a collaborative 20% discount. The only requisite is that you have to move fast!
Even though it’s summer, we’ve decided we want to see those Community Debt contributions soar! So, we’re continuing our challenge with an exciting new series of unlocks that will, hopefully, have you pitching in a little bit more for our noble cause.
Here’s what you can expect if you get that bar moving and your luck doesn’t run out:
Stony - a brand new character with a very laid back attitude;
Greek Letter Emotes - to better express your inner frat boy;
...and some top-secret trails and confetti just waiting to be discovered.
That’s about it for now. But remember, the sooner you pay your debt, the more sweet unlocks you’ll get.
P.S. We’re taking part in one of Steam’s finest sales, the Summer Sale! Grab Move or Die at a sweet 75% discount!
As you probably know, this year in Move or Die is entirely dedicated to paying up our in-game character's debt to society.
You've all been doing your part, and the first batch of community unlocks has almost dried up. In the first 6 months of the Community Debt Challenge, we've gotten to meet Greysan and Hans, while also adding a buttload of other cosmetics to spice up your friendship ruining sessions.
...but there's more where that came from! Here's just a small glimpse at what's coming to the Community Debt Unlock Bar very very soon. :winter2019cooldog:
