TERA's latest content update, "Shore Hold," arrives Tuesday, January 15, and introduces some important changes to our PvP system.
First up, there's a new PvP battleground: Shore Hold This fast-paced, 7 v 7 battleground is designed to get you right into the action. Smaller team sizes means faster queues, and in no time you'll be racing up and down a sandy beach to capture pyres with action combat-sized control zones.
It also features shorter rez times, buff-generating manastones, and a cave dwelling monster to fight. Choose your strategy carefully—time you spend defeating a boss is time your enemies can use to capture pyres, and it's no fun at all to defend yourself from two kinds of threats at once!
PvP Gear Also new in this update, you can now use Bellicarium credits to purchase three types of PvP gear: Disciplinary, Harmonic, or Impregnable. These new items do not accept crystals or grant set bonuses, but even one piece can seriously up your game!
Featuring PvP-only enchantment effects like enemy stat reduction, automatic damage reflection, enemy skill cooldown increases, and slowing effects, you'll want to collect them all and customize your loadout for every encounter!
PvE Training Ground Want a quick workout? Need to test new skills or gear? This update introduces a new solo instance, the Training Ground. Level 65 characters can talk to Whurloc in Highwatch and start a personal BAM-killing experience in a private vault.
The Training Ground supplies you with a DPS meter, virtual thralls, and a collection of buffs to simulate an active party. And if you get tired of one set of gear, you can reset the fight from within the instance and test out whatever you want!
New Gear Shore Hold also marks the return of Shadow Sanguinary, a new mask, class balance changes, and more!
Shore Hold goes live Tuesday, January 15 after scheduled maintenance.
It's the return of Hyper-Ultra-Fire-Turbo Time! This weekend, expect Turbo Time being available even in DREADSPIRE! January 11th, Friday 3 - 9 PM Pacific January 12th, Saturday 3 - 9 PM Pacific January 13th, Sunday 3 - 9 PM Pacific

2019 is shaping up to be an incredible year for TERA PC, and we at En Masse wanted to announce two big things happening in the first quarter.
JANUARY 2019 On January 15, we’ll release V79 (we’re still deciding on a name for the update, I apologize for the formal nomenclature), which will include class and skill balancing and a wealth of PvP changes – from Battleground updates to skill and PvP equipment updates.
FEBRUARY 2019 In February, we’ll host in game events for Lunar New Year and Valentine’s Day. I expect we will also have some events to help prepare everyone for the big update in March:
MARCH 2019 March 2019 brings a change many of us never thought would come: a level-cap increase to Level 70! Currently dubbed V80, this huge update will introduce a new level cap and quests, along with a new open-world boss system! V80 is scheduled to go live in North America in late March! And that’s just the beginning…
We will release more information regarding the details of these updates as they draw closer, but we’re excited that 2019 will start off with a bang and I assure you, there are no plans to slow down after that! In the meantime, we just launched the fishing feature in TERA PC and a complete gathering/crafting system overhaul, plus Wintera is now in full swing!
I can’t wait to see you in game and to bring you more updates as we get them!
Note: This will not disable crafting’s minimum time to complete per item (approximately 3 seconds).
Added 2 50% EP Experience (1-hour) boosts to Elite Benefits bar.
2. Fishing
Learn how to fish by speaking with the popori Waining, in Highwatch, which will kick off the Fishing Association questline.

Advanced rods are upgradeable.
You receive the Old rod through the initial Fishing quest “Let’s Go Fishing.”
You can purchase the Advanced rods from Angler Token Vendors.
A plethora of different types of fish are waiting to be caught!
Fish are graded, from grade 0 up to grade 10. Beyond grade 10 you may even find a BAF (Big-Ass Fish), but be warned these are only for the most skilled of anglers!
Note: BAFs can only be caught via manual fishing.
