Time to Stop Stressing over Strongboxes!

We've heard a lot of player feedback on the subject of strongboxes—in-game drops that require a key to open—and we've not only revised the contents of two popular strongboxes, but added three new ones to the mix.

To make the contents of these boxes more readily available, starting Tuesday, July 17 at 10 a.m. PDT and running until Tuesday, June 31, you'll save 15% off the normal price when purchasing strongbox keys in the TERA Store for PC! Whether you need just 1 key, or bundles of 5, 10, 20, 50, or 100, we've got you covered!

So play TERA, get strongboxes, open them up and reap the rewards! It's never been easier to get what you need to succeed!

Here's the top-level briefing:

Superior Noctenium Elixir is no longer a default item in Locked Strongboxes—because it now comes in its own strongbox, with a chance to get up to 30 Superior Noctenium Elixirs or 1,500 Noctenium Infusions!
Crafting boosts have also made their way into a strongbox of their own. With the Locked Crafter's Strongbox you have a chance to get up to 2 Master Additives or 4 Crafter's Cure-Alls.
We also added the new Locked Talents Strongbox, which has a chance to yield up to 260 Golden Talents or 65 Silver Talents.
We've also updated the Locked Gem Strongbox and Locked Fashion Strongbox. Open a Locked Gem Strongbox for a chance to get up to 8 Emeralds or 4 Diamonds, and open a Locked Fashion Strongbox for a chance to get up to 10 Barber's Best-of-Three Hair Coupons or up to 600 Fashion Coupons!

To make room for the new boxes, we've pulled the Locked Entropic Strongbox out of drop rotation. (The contents of existing Locked Entropic Strongboxes have not been updated.)

The Locked Talent Strongbox, Locked Crafter’s Strongbox, Locked Noctenium Strongbox, and Locked Gem Strongbox are all level 58–65 world drops, while the Locked Fashion Strongbox is a level 1–57 world drop (meaning that monsters of those levels can drop those in the open world, as opposed to instances).

Updated the reward distribution method

Point gauge and reward count will no longer reset.
- Rewards left unclaimed from previous day will be counted towards the current day.
- Rewards claimed are capped at 40 per day.
Rebalanced point scale for priests and mystics.

Shield Bash and Lockdown Blow noctenium effects will now work properly.

Priest

Readjusted Baraka’s Regeneration Circle animation speed to be on par with other races.

Quests
Stepstone Island

Added additional NPCs.
Reduced amount of Sticky Grass that must be gathered to repair doll.
Minor adjustments to multiple sub-65 quests to increase clarity.

Misc

Changed guild rejoin cooldown from 24 hours to 48 hours.
Updated Undergarment Bag with new Innerwear.
Added three new strongboxes (Talent, Noctenium, Crafters) that drop from 58–65 open world BAMs.
Entropic Strongboxes no longer drop.
Adjusted Strongbox contents of Gem and Fashion strongboxes to yield better rewards. (more details next week.)

Bug Fixes

Mice will now properly remain constrained to game when adjusting camera while playing in Windowed mode, regardless of which monitor the game is on.
Fixed issue where crashing occasionally reset system settings.

Known Issues

Leaderboard text “Rank Requirements”, found below the season time period, is not displaying properly.

TERA's Counterpunch update is now live! You can now play a human male brawler, and we’ve got multiple events and promotions going on from now until April 10 to celebrate:

New Items in the TERA Store

We’ve added two new items to the TERA Store : the Human Male Brawler's Heavy Bag (containing a random human male costume) and the Brawler's Speed Bag (containing a random brawler weapon skin).
Through Steam you can purchase a new Digital Starter Pack or a Digital Deluxe Starter Pack to get an incredible deal on a pack of items including an auto-loot pet, EMP to spend in the TERA in-gams store, elite status time, bank/inventory expansions, and more!

Free Character Slot (March 13–20)

No room for a new brawler? No worries! Every player who logs in this week gets a free character slot mailed to them via in-game parcel to add a character slot on their account.

Bantamweight Brawler’s Box (March 13 – April 10)

Create a male brawler and when you hit level 15, you’ll receive a Bantamweight Brawler’s Box filled with goodies: free Elite Status time, Fashion Coupons for costumes and weapon skins, and consumables to help you on your journey, plus additional Brawler’s Boxes that unlock as you level up!

St. Patrick’s Day Rewards (March 16–18)

For the St. Patrick’s Day weekend, Ghillieglade and the Pit of Petrax will feature holiday-themed rewards.

Weekend Warriors! (March 17–18, March 24–25, March 31 – April 1, April 7–8)

Each weekend through April 8, if you log in for at least three hours Saturday and Sunday, you’ll receive one Weekend Boom Box, each of which has a chance to contain a permanent Azure Phoenix flying mount, a Royal Diamond Dragon flying mount, enchanting materials, or other consumables.
