Greetings, Citizens!

Today we’d like to share some exciting news about the ongoing Kickstarter campaign for Frostpunk: The Board Game. The campaign was met with an extremely positive reaction from the community and is smashing through the stretch goals like a well-oiled dreadnought! Actually, we have just reached the €1,5M stretch goal! Thank you so much for backing the project!
But now, let’s talk about some stellar art, shall we?

We have sent scouts to the Western Carpathians, many have not returned... but those who did manage to bring back this amazing poster by Jakub Różalski:

You've probably already seen his artwork somewhere online - but just for those who have never heard about Jakub - he is also known as Mr. Werewolf. He's an independent concept artist, storyteller & illustrator, and is best known as the creator of the World of 1920+ (Scythe, Iron Harvest). We're fans of his work so it's a dream come true to see his support for Frostpunk: The Board Game.

If you want to learn how you can get this poster and read more about the recent Frostpunk: TBG updates, just click here!

That's not all! To celebrate Digital Tabletop Fest and our Kickstarter success - we have discounted digital version of Frostpunk. You can grab it 66% OFF until the 26th of October! The GOTY Edition is on sale, too - you can grab that one here.

https://store.steampowered.com/app/323190/Frostpunk/

Thank you for supporting the Kickstarter campaign. We really love what Glass Cannon Unplugged team is doing with the tabletop adaptation of Frostpunk - and we are extremely happy that you appreciate that, too! We have two more stretch goals to reach - so please consider spreading the word. We are pretty sure you know someone who would love to freeze to death while playing an awesome co-operative board game.

Greetings, New London citizens.

We’re on the verge of an unknown, yet an electrifying path. The city administration seeks your aid in making another significant step for our community as Glass Cannon Unplugged, tailors of the tabletop experience, and 11 bit studios, makers of the original IP, are thrilled to announce that Frostpunk: The Board Game Kickstarter campaign is now live.

This adaptation, playable by up to four players, will be faithful to the original both in gameplay and the atmosphere. As leaders of the survivor’s colony, you will become Social, Health, Generator, and Resources Advisors. Frostpunk is a euro type of board game, so a well-thought-out strategy has an incomparably higher value than reliance on luck. You’ll survive only thanks to efficiently managing both the issuing demands of citizens and the infrastructure, including the iconic generator represented by a highly detailed plastic cube tower miniature.

Frostpunk’s unplugged version is designed and developed by Glass Cannon Unplugged - a team of board game industry veterans - along with the well-known independent author Adam Kwapinski. After playing several prototypes we’re sure Frostpunk is in good hands, and it will present new challenges even for the original game veterans.

We totally support Glass Cannon Unplugged in their crowdfunding quest, so we cordially invite you to visit Frostpunk: The Board Game Kickstarter campaign page to watch the board game trailer or back up the project:
Frostpunk: The Board Game campaign on Kickstarter

We want the campaign to be as vivid as possible, so more goals will be revealed during its course. One of a kind companion app will be among the highlighted stretches. “The idea is really neat and revolutionary in some way. And since Kickstarter is meant to fulfill dreams, let’s reach this goal and see what magic we can unleash” - said Glass Cannon Unplugged’s CEO, Jakub Wiśniewski.

Frostpunk: The Board Game key features:
  • Different player roles that ease the learning curve.
  • Innovative heating and generator cube tower mechanics with a custom-designed system of cube-catching and risk management.
  • A worker-placement game where your meeples get sick and hungry and have ethics and social demands!
  • Steering a society using Law and Technology, and bearing the consequences of in-game decisions, thanks to the narrative-driven Dusk card mechanics.
  • A fascinating mix of snow apocalypse and steampunk worlds to be discovered through expeditions deep into the Frostland.
  • A companion app that allows for different playstyles.

Greetings, Citizens!

After the incredible reception of This War Of Mine: The Board Game, we are very excited to join forces with Glass Cannon Unplugged in order to bring the next big board game to your tables, a tabletop adaptation of Frostpunk.

In Frostpunk: The Board Game players will work together as the rulers of the last city on Earth in a scenario-based, cooperative board game with tons of unique solutions and beautiful components including a nearly 20cm tall Generator miniature that is also a crucial component of the game - a cube tower!

Yet the quality of a board game, especially based on Frostpunk, is measured not only by the miniatures! Those of you who are avid board gamers will be glad to hear that the game is designed by Adam Kwapiński (author of Nemesis) and written by Jakub Wiśniewski (co-author of This War Of Mine: TBG). The tabletop adaptation of Frostpunk will feature the scenarios you all know and love but also a few completely new ones!

Frostpunk: The Board Game will offer:
  • A worker-placement game with replayable scenarios.
  • Morally challenging and impactful story decisions that are closely tied to the gameplay.
  • Amazing table presence with a Generator cube tower accompanied by a set of detailed buildings and characters miniatures.
The crowdfunding campaign for Frostpunk: The Board Game will be launching on October 6th!

Greeting, Citizens!

An all-new scout expedition is ready to leave the safe shelter of New London and step into the unknown. On The Edge - the third expansion for Frostpunk and the last chapter of the game’s Season Pass - is now available on PC!

Watch the official Frostpunk: On The Edge Launch Trailer here: https://youtu.be/UxWS0LiRcJM
On The Edge tasks players with building a new community settled away from the city known from the base game, but one still driven by the orders from the capital. One day, when your masters’ favors start to deplete and the demands from the capital remain as firm as at the beginning, it will be time to think about your own survival. Sooner or later, you will have to either act diplomatically or show your strong will since only forming an independent and sturdy union with surrounding Settlements will give you a chance to confront New London.

On The Edge - General Features List:
  • Be flexible or stay firm as the leader - Can you trust other communities? Should you respect their ways of survival or bend them to your will?
  • Establish an economical union with other outposts using the Transport Depot.
  • Help develop other Settlements by fulfilling their requests.
  • Construct Safe Routes on the Frostland and exchange surplus resources for those you lack.
  • Discover 16 brand new areas of the Frostland and revisit some of the old sites - learning their fate after the Great Storm.
  • Construct 3 new city structures and develop 7 new technologies.
  • Communicate with other communities thanks to brand new UI in the Administration building.
  • Try to survive without control over the Book of Laws.
  • Enable new mechanics available in the Endless Mode.

Find a more detailed list of all the features below!

“Frostpunk has been a long journey for us and for the players. Years of development and a ton of content released after the premiere, and now the final chapter comes in marking huge growth of the IP on both gameplay and narrative layers. Every expansion introduced new mechanics, twisting and enlarging the game, from the prequel story told in The Last Autumn to the after-storm events presented in the closing scenario - On The Edge.

We’re 11 bit studios - the people who specialize in emotional rollercoasters and that’s Frostpunk. But if you’ve only tried the base game, get the Season Pass for a brand new ride!” says Jakub Stokalski, Project Lead and Lead Game Designer on Frostpunk.

Frostpunk: On The Edge is available right now on PC via Steam, GOG.com, and Humble Store. You can get it here: https://store.steampowered.com/app/1147010/Frostpunk_On_The_Edge/

Greetings, Citizens of New London and daring Frostland Wanderers!

With great excitement, we are happy to unveil the new features awaiting players in Frostpunk: On The Edge. Frostpunk’s Lead Game Designer, Jakub Stokalski, will guide you through the additions in an all-new in-game developer commentary video. Watch it here: https://youtu.be/I5OyouKc-QA

On The Edge revolves around themes of trust and loyalty. Assigned as the leader of a newly formed Outpost — settled near an Army Warehouse — you are kept on New London's leash and bound to transfer all your precious findings to headquarters. At the same time, you have to rely on scarce food deliveries and laws enforced by your supervisor. It's a delicate balance to navigate — each decision introduces new potential risks and unknowns. But as soon as an alternate food source is discovered by your scouts, you start to think about surviving on your own...

The next finding is an even bigger breakthrough — there are other Settlements out there willing to cooperate with you. Once you manage to gain their loyalty, designate trade routes between new allies, and regain control over your Book of Laws, then perhaps you can form a strong, independent union, and shake off New London's yoke. And who knows, maybe one day the proud city will ask for your help?

Creating foundations for a new community comes with an array of difficulties. Confronting New London as well as dealing with other Settlements will test your diplomatic skills, but you can't forget that in the long run, Frostpunk is all about survival. What compromises are you willing to make to achieve that ultimate goal?

On The Edge - Features List:
  • Choose your truce - Can you trust other communities? Should you respect their ways of survival or bend them to your will?
  • Establish an economical union with other outposts using the Transport Depot.
  • Help develop other Settlements by fulfilling their requests.
  • Construct Safe Routes on the Frostland and exchange surplus resources for those you lack.
  • Discover 16 brand new areas of the Frostland and revisit some of the old sites - learning their fate after the Great Storm.
  • Communicate with other communities thanks to brand new UI in the Administration building.
  • Try to survive without control over the Book of Laws.
  • Enable new mechanics available in the Endless Mode.

On The Edge is the third and final expansion for Frostpunk. It was preceded by The Rifts, which challenged players to build a city on the map containing a group of islands with various resources, and prequel story The Last Autumn focused on building an iconic Generator. All expansions are available in Frostpunk’s Season Pass which can be found HERE.

Frostpunk: On The Edge will be available Aug. 20th, 2020 on PC via Steam, GOG.com, and Humble Store. Be sure to add the expansion to your Steam Wishlist here.

Hear me, hear me, Citizens!

We survived the Great Storm but the path ahead is still marked with toil. A finding outside New London seems to be a blessing, but doesn’t every miracle come with a price? Lead the expedition to explore the uncharted parts of Frostland in Frostpunk: On The Edge.

Today, we are thrilled to share a brand-new cinematic trailer and a few screenshots from the expansion with you. On top of that, we're happy to announce that On the Edge, the third and final expansion for Frostpunk, is coming to PC on the 20th of August, 2020.

Watch the Frostpunk: On The Edge cinematic trailer here:
https://youtu.be/YmUFbamiFx4

While Frostpunk’s previous expansion, The Last Autumn, served as a prequel, On The Edge picks up when the base game has ended. The storm has exposed an army warehouse from times before the evacuation. A scouting party is sent from New London to set up an outpost and a steady chain of supplies. It’s time to take another step on the laborious path of rebuilding hope and leading humankind to survival. But… the world of Frostpunk is still full of embroiled dualities: trust or skepticism, independence or domination, union or separation. The question is, what path will you take?

Near the outpost, there are no animals to hunt, so you’ll be depending on food sent from New London and their favors are not inexhaustible. They have their demands too. The good part is that the weather is not so severe here, on the edge. For now, the people have managed to survive without a Generator, but for how long? Will you be able to lead them for survival, far from the capital city of New London? Play On The Edge - the final chapter of the thrilling Frostpunk story - on the 20th of August!

Frostpunk: On The Edge awaits you with:
  • A gripping survival story set after events of the original game
  • Circumstances will force players to explore and adapt to the frozen wilderness
  • A brand-new map with unique structures
  • New methods to divide or unite your people
  • New mechanics to build economic and diplomatic relations
Frostpunk: On The Edge will be available on August 20th on PC via Steam, GOG.com, and Humble Store - and it's actually gonna be cheaper than The Last Autumn expansion! More details will be arriving soon so be sure to add the expansion to your Steam Wishlist here:

https://store.steampowered.com/app/1147010/Frostpunk_On_The_Edge/
