Greeting, Citizens!

An all-new scout expedition is ready to leave the safe shelter of New London and step into the unknown. On The Edge - the third expansion for Frostpunk and the last chapter of the game’s Season Pass - is now available on PC!

Watch the official Frostpunk: On The Edge Launch Trailer here: https://youtu.be/UxWS0LiRcJM
On The Edge tasks players with building a new community settled away from the city known from the base game, but one still driven by the orders from the capital. One day, when your masters’ favors start to deplete and the demands from the capital remain as firm as at the beginning, it will be time to think about your own survival. Sooner or later, you will have to either act diplomatically or show your strong will since only forming an independent and sturdy union with surrounding Settlements will give you a chance to confront New London.

On The Edge - General Features List:
  • Be flexible or stay firm as the leader - Can you trust other communities? Should you respect their ways of survival or bend them to your will?
  • Establish an economical union with other outposts using the Transport Depot.
  • Help develop other Settlements by fulfilling their requests.
  • Construct Safe Routes on the Frostland and exchange surplus resources for those you lack.
  • Discover 16 brand new areas of the Frostland and revisit some of the old sites - learning their fate after the Great Storm.
  • Construct 3 new city structures and develop 7 new technologies.
  • Communicate with other communities thanks to brand new UI in the Administration building.
  • Try to survive without control over the Book of Laws.
  • Enable new mechanics available in the Endless Mode.
  • Listen to 6 new music tracks composed by Piotr Musiał.
Find a more detailed list of all the features below!

“Frostpunk has been a long journey for us and for the players. Years of development and a ton of content released after the premiere, and now the final chapter comes in marking huge growth of the IP on both gameplay and narrative layers. Every expansion introduced new mechanics, twisting and enlarging the game, from the prequel story told in The Last Autumn to the after-storm events presented in the closing scenario - On The Edge.

We’re 11 bit studios - the people who specialize in emotional rollercoasters and that’s Frostpunk. But if you’ve only tried the base game, get the Season Pass for a brand new ride!” says Jakub Stokalski, Project Lead and Lead Game Designer on Frostpunk.

Frostpunk: On The Edge is available right now on PC via Steam, GOG.com, and Humble Store. You can get it here: https://store.steampowered.com/app/1147010/Frostpunk_On_The_Edge/

Greetings, Citizens of New London and daring Frostland Wanderers!

With great excitement, we are happy to unveil the new features awaiting players in Frostpunk: On The Edge. Frostpunk’s Lead Game Designer, Jakub Stokalski, will guide you through the additions in an all-new in-game developer commentary video. Watch it here: https://youtu.be/I5OyouKc-QA

On The Edge revolves around themes of trust and loyalty. Assigned as the leader of a newly formed Outpost — settled near an Army Warehouse — you are kept on New London's leash and bound to transfer all your precious findings to headquarters. At the same time, you have to rely on scarce food deliveries and laws enforced by your supervisor. It's a delicate balance to navigate — each decision introduces new potential risks and unknowns. But as soon as an alternate food source is discovered by your scouts, you start to think about surviving on your own...

The next finding is an even bigger breakthrough — there are other Settlements out there willing to cooperate with you. Once you manage to gain their loyalty, designate trade routes between new allies, and regain control over your Book of Laws, then perhaps you can form a strong, independent union, and shake off New London's yoke. And who knows, maybe one day the proud city will ask for your help?

Creating foundations for a new community comes with an array of difficulties. Confronting New London as well as dealing with other Settlements will test your diplomatic skills, but you can't forget that in the long run, Frostpunk is all about survival. What compromises are you willing to make to achieve that ultimate goal?

On The Edge - Features List:
  • Choose your truce - Can you trust other communities? Should you respect their ways of survival or bend them to your will?
  • Establish an economical union with other outposts using the Transport Depot.
  • Help develop other Settlements by fulfilling their requests.
  • Construct Safe Routes on the Frostland and exchange surplus resources for those you lack.
  • Discover 16 brand new areas of the Frostland and revisit some of the old sites - learning their fate after the Great Storm.
  • Communicate with other communities thanks to brand new UI in the Administration building.
  • Try to survive without control over the Book of Laws.
  • Enable new mechanics available in the Endless Mode.

On The Edge is the third and final expansion for Frostpunk. It was preceded by The Rifts, which challenged players to build a city on the map containing a group of islands with various resources, and prequel story The Last Autumn focused on building an iconic Generator. All expansions are available in Frostpunk’s Season Pass which can be found HERE.

Frostpunk: On The Edge will be available Aug. 20th, 2020 on PC via Steam, GOG.com, and Humble Store. Be sure to add the expansion to your Steam Wishlist here.

Hear me, hear me, Citizens!

We survived the Great Storm but the path ahead is still marked with toil. A finding outside New London seems to be a blessing, but doesn’t every miracle come with a price? Lead the expedition to explore the uncharted parts of Frostland in Frostpunk: On The Edge.

Today, we are thrilled to share a brand-new cinematic trailer and a few screenshots from the expansion with you. On top of that, we're happy to announce that On the Edge, the third and final expansion for Frostpunk, is coming to PC on the 20th of August, 2020.

Watch the Frostpunk: On The Edge cinematic trailer here:
https://youtu.be/YmUFbamiFx4

While Frostpunk’s previous expansion, The Last Autumn, served as a prequel, On The Edge picks up when the base game has ended. The storm has exposed an army warehouse from times before the evacuation. A scouting party is sent from New London to set up an outpost and a steady chain of supplies. It’s time to take another step on the laborious path of rebuilding hope and leading humankind to survival. But… the world of Frostpunk is still full of embroiled dualities: trust or skepticism, independence or domination, union or separation. The question is, what path will you take?

Near the outpost, there are no animals to hunt, so you’ll be depending on food sent from New London and their favors are not inexhaustible. They have their demands too. The good part is that the weather is not so severe here, on the edge. For now, the people have managed to survive without a Generator, but for how long? Will you be able to lead them for survival, far from the capital city of New London? Play On The Edge - the final chapter of the thrilling Frostpunk story - on the 20th of August!

Frostpunk: On The Edge awaits you with:
  • A gripping survival story set after events of the original game
  • Circumstances will force players to explore and adapt to the frozen wilderness
  • A brand-new map with unique structures
  • New methods to divide or unite your people
  • New mechanics to build economic and diplomatic relations
Frostpunk: On The Edge will be available on August 20th on PC via Steam, GOG.com, and Humble Store - and it's actually gonna be cheaper than The Last Autumn expansion! More details will be arriving soon so be sure to add the expansion to your Steam Wishlist here:

Survivors of the frozen apocalypse!

The day you were striving for has finally come! The last piece of a puzzle of New London’s story falls into its place as Project TVADGYCGJR - a mysterious third expansion to 11 bit studios grim society survival sim - is revealed as On The Edge. Watch a short teaser here:
https://youtu.be/Ne4PejdG0xY

"They say the snow is dead. But we've learnt to the contrary." - Samuel Robinson, Frostland Scout (1887, New London).

On The Edge - the third expansion from the game’s Season Pass - is set after the vicious Great Storm. The expedition with a special assignment is sent from New London. On The Edge not only opens a brand new chapter set in the Frostpunk universe but also further enriches the core experience by pitting players against new challenges and offering unique mechanics, both in the city and on the Frostland map.

A brand new, frozen board is set and the pieces are moving. What destiny lies ahead for your people? What will this mean for you, as their leader? Shape the future of humanity in a defining moment in Frostpunk's universe.

"The Edge symbolizes the cross between what has been the past and what’s new to come. Although the society of New London, the city believed to be the last one on Earth, has survived, it doesn’t mean the struggle is over. The people face new challenges that are catalysts to spark up divisions, new problems, and conflicts based on the fact, that people might have different points of view, different perspectives. Different outlook, so to speak. This is the Edge that you will face as the leader of the society that survived the great snowstorm of Frostpunk" - said Maciej Sułecki, the lead designer of Frostpunk: On the Edge.

On The Edge is coming to Steam this Summer and will feature:
  • a brand new story scenario, set after the Great Storm
  • an array of challenges to overcome on a new, desolate map
  • unique mechanics to utilize on the Frostland view
More details will be revealed while we move closer to the expansion's release - be sure to add On The Edge to your Steam Wishlist here:

Greetings, Citizens!

The time has come! The biggest and most complex scenario for Frostpunk yet - The Last Autumn - debuts today on PC! As you probably know, the expansion is a part of Frostpunk Season Pass that was released in August but can be also bought separately.

What is this expansion about?

The Last Autumn tells a prequel story. Experience the events that ended with the cataclysm and lead the construction of the iconic Generator. Not everyone will be happy with the work conditions and some of your people - albeit they shouldn't know it - could pay the ultimate price when striving to give humankind their last hope. It’s up to you to weigh the stakes and decide how much sacrifices the greater good is worth.

Watch The Last Autumn release trailer here: https://youtu.be/FV2BERgBCKs

“Everyone associate Frostpunk with snow and winter, so our goal was to provide them with something totally new and change the tone of the game a bit. It was a challenge, but the result is the biggest and the most tone-nuanced scenario in the whole Frostpunk universe” - says Kuba Stokalski, Frostpunk Lead Designer.

Frostpunk: The Last Autumn - new features:
  • Prequel story in a new environment, yet not covered by snow, that let you construct the Generator from scratch, preparing your society for the upcoming winter
  • The new variant of the Endless Mode - Builders - that redefines the challenges you’ll face by providing different setup and solutions
  • Two new Book of Laws allowing you to shape your society in previously unknown ways
  • New threats and issues to deal with like toxic gases or strikes among workers
  • New ways of influencing your society, from establishing labour unions to manipulation
  • New technology tree, inventions to discover and resources to obtain
  • 25 new buildings to construct like docks, telegraph station, labour union and more
  • New social classes including Convicts - a cheap and obedient workforce even more new mechanics and tweaks to discover
Additional fixes introduced with this update:
  • Fix for tier icons in technology tree changing alongside set language
  • Fix for inconsistent inheritance of employment in buildings
  • Performance optimization
  • Many minor fixes and improvements
Season Pass for Frostpunk grants access to all three DLC packs: The Rifts, The Last Autumn, and the unannounced pack codenamed “Project TVADGYCGJR”. If you don’t have the Season Pass, each DLC pack can be bought separately. All expansions will arrive on consoles at a later date.

Hi there, Citizens!

It's time to unveil a taste of the upcoming Frostpunk: The Last Autumn expansion with photos of the first official Frostpunk cosplay along with a 12-minute gameplay video featuring commentary from project lead, Jakub Stokalski.

The Last Autumn expansion, coming to PC on January 21st, broadens the lore of the game and tells a prequel story set before the apocalyptic winter struck. It’s the biggest addition for the hit city-builder survival sim yet, and to celebrate the release we teamed up with professional cosplayer (who previously cosplayed Brigitte from Overwatch, btw!), Moosefix, to recreate one of the main characters from the Frostpunk universe - Effie MacLachlan.

Effie MacLachlan, a graduate from the illustrious University of Cambridge, was first seen in the recently released The Last Autumn cinematic trailer. Aiming to prove her worth in a world dominated by men by joining the Imperial Exploration Company as Assistant Engineer. Effie is one of the many engineers that has been recently deployed to an unknown location to work on a top-secret project and is controlled by the one and only supreme ruler of the in-game society - the player.

"I have spent hundreds of hours of my life playing Frostpunk. The apocalyptic English setting created by the impending global climate really makes me feel at home. Getting to bring 11 bit studios character to life and working with the studio has been an absolute joy and privilege, I can't thank them enough. Bring on the Last Autumn!” - said Moosefix about the game and studio. The photo session, done on the coast of the United Kingdom which greatly resembles places from the trailer, was held by photographer Tascha Dearing.

Download all high-resolution photos HERE!

In The Last Autumn, players will have a chance to build the greatest marvel of technology — an iconic generator from Frostpunk — that will hopefully save humankind from freezing to death. Watch 12 minutes of pure gameplay with Jakub, Frostpunk's project lead:

The Frostpunk Season Pass that was released in August for PCs grants access to all three DLC packs: The Rifts, The Last Autumn, and the unannounced pack codenamed “Project TVADGYCGJR”. If you don’t have the Season Pass, each pack can be bought separately. All expansions will arrive on consoles at a later date.

We hope you like the gameplay video as well as the cosplay! We can't wait for all of you to play The Last Autumn when it comes out on the 21st of January this year!

See you soon! Stay warm,
