First, I would like to thank all of you again, the feedbacks continue to be so great... 95% positive steam reviews now! And some of your reviews touch me so much...
Too bad I can't work on the game until the end of the month (as i'm relocating), but here are two things you could check for the time being:
- The Dig or Die official Wiki : http://digordie.gamepedia.com. The wiki has now a great lot of content (thanks Mackenzie for the huge help!) check the Monsters page and the item list. If any question do not hesitate the check the Steam forums, I read every message and you'll get plenty of help & advices from a lot of very nice players :-)
- And an old flash game I did with a talented artist friend: Gaia Defense. You can play it on my website: http://gaddygames.com/games/gaiadefense. You should recognize some musics i re-used on Dig or Die... and see where i first experimented my side-view defense building concept!

It has been a week since the release of the game, and your feedbacks are just so amazing... I don't know what to say, i'm really touched by all of this. Thank you.
A week ago only a few friends had tested the game, and I had really no idea of how it would be welcomed. Now the game has 93% positive Steam reviews. It's just a dream that comes true :-) And it has already sold enough to let me work full-time on the game during several months. I'm going to be able to improve the game much faster than what I had thought!
Also a huge thanks to all the youtubers that did videos about the game. I was not successfull in my attempts to get press coverage, but the videos really helped to make the game known. A special thanks to Paul Soares Jr and Debitor (even if I have no idea of what this last one said....)
Unfortunately I'll not be able to work on updates until the end of the month, as I'm relocating. But I'll try to use this time to improve the Wiki and add some items stats. Maybe I'll write an article to show how to properly build a water-proof base. As it looks like my rain simulation is not always appreciated :-)
So here is the changelog of the updates I did this week (v0.047/v0.048/v0.049):
GENERAL: - New Peaceful mode: no monster will attack you, unless you hit him first. Now you can sleep during night, at least. - A slightly better pathfinding of the ground monsters. They should dig their path up more easily
BUG FIXES: - Fix the "You're dead, please reload" message when not dead - Monsters don't spawn anymore in front on backwalls (unless you try to put it everywhere!) - Monsters don't disappear when you teleport anymore. Sorry mates :-) - "0% loading" freeze fixed (at least for a part of the people who got the error) - Black dogs spawn black dog horns instead of normal horns (you can now craft advanced hp potions)
BALANCE: - Ground monsters are slowed when swimming - Rain quantity has been reduced (from 0.15 to 0.12 ) - Damages of minigun increased from 4 to 5 - Walls HP increased (100 to 150 for concrete and metal supports, 250 to 300 for reinforced concrete) - A little more coal, a little less aluminium (requires a new world generation) - The day/night cycle lasts now a little longer (12min instead of 10)
GRAPHICAL: - Draw the HP bar for damaged turrets - Dragged items are not semi-transparent.
MINOR CHANGES: - Reverse the item selection change when scrolling - Add a sound to the miniaturizor - You can now jump with the W key - A lot of typo & grammar errors fix, and better english. - Modification of some monsters & item names - Framerate cap - Cannot quick-save while dead

Dig or Die is now available for $3! I'll increase the price at each major update during the Early Access period, until it reaches it final price of $12. This is how I see this early access: you pay only for what is already done, not for empty promises! And if you support the game now all the future update will be bonus for you.
And what is already done? Several hours of gameplay to reach the end and escape the planet, and much more time if you play on hardest difficulty or if you whish to explore more or play with the physic & water simulation...
Now let me explain my motivation to create this game. I loved playing Terraria, and for a lot of things I wished it were different: having a real objective, building massive and useful defenses, spending less time digging awfully slowly, etc. Then I saw other Terraria-like games like Starbound, offering dozen of thousands of items, decorations, random generated bizarre monsters, but not so different in gameplay. That's fine but that was really not the direction I wished for. That's why I created Dig or Die, with this major orientation on defense building. With this game I also wanted to create a real "sandbox" game. A game where you can play with the world itself. That's why I created this simulation of physics and water. Like when you build a sand-castle or dams at the beach... all the pleasure is to build things and see them destroyed by the water, then rebuild again stronger, try different things. That is what I tried to do in this game.
Thank you for your time, and I wish you a very good time playing the game!
