Street Fighter V - Capcom USA

You may have seen her haunting Ed in his dreams, but Menat has now become a reality and officially makes her way into Street Fighter V this Tuesday! Look below to learn more about this all new, mysterious fortune teller.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DDs6wqCZs3c

Menat is an apprentice of a famous Fortune teller that lives in Italy. The techniques she was taught revolve around her crystal sphere, which she controls with her soul power. This power lets her extend the base of her attacks, giving her a fortunate advantage at longer ranges. She is also able to send it out at the opponent to disrupt attacks, where she can later call it back. While the crystal sphere is out, she can cancel any normal attack and her V-Skill into Soul Sphere: Ankh, calling the crystal ball back to her, greatly increasing her combo potential.

V-Skill : Soul Reflect - Kamal

Produce a shock wave attack from her soul power. While the crystal sphere is retracted, this lets her reflect the average projectile back at the opponent. If the crystal ball was sent out into battle prior to using her V-Skill, this will absorb the projectile to help build up her v-gauge. This can also be used to launch the opponent into the air to help extend combos.

V-Trigger: Wisdom of Thoth

Menat summons six spheres with her soul power andeach sphere is linked to her normal attacks. Pressing and releasing of a normal attack sends the sphere linked to that attack flying at the opponent.

Critical Art: The Nefertem

Menat sends her crystal sphere to bind her soul power with the opponent to deal devastating damage.

Mastering this fortune teller is dependent on knowing when to use her crystal sphere to keep her opponents at bay, and when to unleash it to create unpredictable mixups.

Also coming alongside Menat on August 29th are her Story and Battle costumes.

And don’t forget, the SFV Season 2 Character Pass is available for $29.99 / €29.99 / £24.99 and will grant pass holders with Akuma, Kolin, Ed, Abigail, Menat and an addition brand new fighters to be announced later this year. The pass comes with Premium Battle Costumes with colors 3-10 unlocked and default costume colors 3-10 for each character. Additionally, Season 2 Character Pass holders will receive an exclusive PS4 theme!

One last thing! To help celebrate the 30th Anniversary of Street Fighter, players who log into Street Fighter V from August 29th to September 5th will receive an additional 30,000FM!

We are happy to announce Abigail, the biggest man in Metro City, as the fourth new character to join Season 2 of Street Fighter V.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AcMiPWzXn0k
Making his way from Final Fight to Street Fighter V, Abigail was one of the top ranking members of the Mad Gear Gang. His territory is the Bay Area of Metro City, a location he terrorizes with his gargantuan size, and at eight feet tall, he makes the Red Cyclone look like a spinning top. The tires around Abigail’s monstrous biceps make is clear what he’s been up to when he isn’t cracking skulls. This mountain of a man is a complete (mad) gear head that loves to make car noises almost as much as he loves driving them.

One thing that’s troubling Abigail is the whereabouts of his prized monster truck. Be sure to check out his character story as he brawls his way through the mean streets of Metro City in search of it.

V-Skill: Hungabee
Abigail thrusts his sizeable belly forwards (either high or low) countering the opponent’s attack and setting himself up for a combo opportunity.

V-Trigger: Max Power
After popping his two-bar V-Trigger, Abigail can charge up his four different heavy punches for one hit of armour and extended juggles. A full charge will break the opponent’s guard.

Critical Art: Abigail Special
Abigail slams his opponent with a downward open-palm strike that puts them into a daze. He then hoists them into the air, pummels them like a makeshift speedbag before launching a savage hook that shatters the screen.

As the largest character in the game, you’d expect Abigail to be all about the command grabs. He has two, as it happens, but what makes him stand out is his Nitro Charge run. This special move has one hit of armour (two for EX!) and can be cancelled into four follow-ups – a stiff punch, command grab, cumbersome overhead or V-Skill. Suffice to say, Abigail isn’t a one-trick-pony, he’s a horse-power-house.

Also arriving alongside Abigail are his Story and Premium Battle costumes, as well as his own personal stage, the Metro City Bay Area. Fight on this stage long enough and you might see the iconic sunrise that fans will remember from back in Abigail’s Final Fight days.

Don’t forget, the Season 2 Character Pass is available for $29.99 / €29.99 / £24.99 and will grant pass holders with Akuma, Kolin, Ed and Abigail in addition to two brand new fighters to be announced later this year. Earlier this year, we introduced the 2017 Capcom Pro Tour DLC that featured the Capcom Cup Collection Costumes for Ryu and Ken, along with some exclusive Fight Money opportunities and colors. Now, it’s time to reveal the Champions Choice Costume as well as the 2017 Capcom Pro Tour Stage!

First up, we have an exclusive look at the all-new 2017 Capcom Pro Tour Stage! Continuing the tradition of CPT themed stages, the Kanzuki Family Stadium showcases the high-level competition with a sumo stadium befitting of the Kanzuki name.

As most of you know, Du “NuckleDu” Dang won the Capcom Cup in 2016. Along with him auto-qualifying for Capcom Cup 2017, he also received the incredibly rare opportunity to help create a costume for a character of his choice. His character of choice is the master of flash-kicking, Guile!

Guile is ready for any combat operations with this tactical officer-inspired costume. The all-new costume will be available on July 25th for PlayStation 4 and Steam for just $5.99 / € 5.99 or included in the Capcom Pro Tour 2017 Premier Pass.

Included in the Premier Pass for $24.99 are the previously released Capcom Cup Collection Costumes for Ryu and Ken, the newly announced Champions Choice Costume, the Kanzuki Family Stadium stage, exclusive CPT- themed colors for all of the characters, two exclusive titles and monthly in-game targets that reward Fight Money! Just as it was last year, the 2017 Premier Pass will be taken off the marketplace around the end of November, so make sure you pick up your favorite content while it is available!

Just like last year, a portion of the CPT 2017 DLC will go to the prize pool for Capcom Cup 2017, regardless if it’s purchased as a bundle or individually. This campaign was a great success last year thanks to your support, and we can’t thank you enough for helping make the Pro Tour and CPT Prize Pool better with each contribution.

Turn the clock back with these nostalgic costumes and classic stage!

With 30 years of rich history to its name, the Street Fighter series conjures up many fond memories across a wide range of topics. Be it the iconic special moves or the unmistakeable theme tunes, Street Fighter is pop culture personified. To this end, we’re adding another classic stage and three more nostalgic costumes to Street Fighter V.

Forget Guile’s jet, Ryu’s temple roof stage is where the truest of warriors fought for arcade supremacy back in 1991. Relive those classic moments (or forge new ones!) as this iconic Suzaku Castle stage makes the leap forward into Street Fighter V.

Seeing as the Street Fighter III series is set after Street Fighter V, it only makes sense that Alex would have longer hair in the future. He’s also found the time to buy new green trousers that are less ripped than his old pair.

Ibuki’s nostalgic costume is also from the Street Fighter III series – aka the future. It’s more rugged than her regular outfit, but unfortunately, it doesn’t come with infinite shurikens. It was deemed that this historical inaccuracy be for the greater good.

Unlike Alex and Ibuki, Juri’s nostalgic costume is from the Street Fighter IV series – aka the past. This is how we first met the sadistic taekwondo expert back in 2010. We probably wouldn’t recommend that she wears this outfit while riding her motorbike.

You can pick up these new costumes on PlayStation 4 and Steam for $3.99/ €3.99 starting on July 25th.
