Glory awaits those who fight for themselves or their Alliance during the Midyear Mayhem PvP event. Celebrate the legendary warrior Pelinal Whitestrake and earn double XP, Alliance Points, and bonus rewards by taking part in ESO's PvP game modes!

Capture Bonus XP and AP
The Midyear Mayhem event begins on Thursday, July 26 at 10:00AM EDT and will end on Monday, August 6 at 10:00AM EDT. During this time, you can win honor and bonus rewards by following the steps below:
  • Visit the in-game Crown Store and acquire and activate the “Details on the Midyear Mayhem" ticket
  • Travel to your Alliance War faction's main gate in Cyrodiil using the Alliance War menu
  • Find the NPC called “Predicant Maera" and pick up the quest “Midyear Mayhem"
    • Note if you already completed the quest last year, you won't need to do it again
  • Complete the quest to receive your Scroll of Pelinal's Ferocity and a Pelinal's Midyear Boon Box
  • Use the scroll to enjoy a two-hour, 100% buff in the Alliance War, Imperial City, and Battlegrounds to:
    • Alliance Points gained
    • XP gains for PvP player kills

You are able to keep the Scroll of Pelinal's Ferocity and re-use it for the duration of the event. If you already completed the quest in last year's event, the scroll you received then will work, too. If you previously earned the scroll and misplaced it, don't worry, you can pick up another from Predicant Maera for 100 gold or 100 Alliance Points.

To ensure you're able to take the field, we are opening up two additional 7-day CP Alliance War campaigns during the event, and have additional ones ready to go if needed. There's never been a better time to fight for control of the Imperial province.

Become the Star-Made Knight
Those who claim victory on the field of battle can earn themselves a special collectible that is only available during the Midyear Mayhem event: the Midyear Victor's Laurel Wreath.

To earn this glorious headdress, you must unlock the “Star-Made Knight" achievement by completing each of the seven Midyear Mayhem event Achievements:
  • Mayhem Connoisseur: Receive the blessing of the Whitestrake at one of the Alliance Gates during the Midyear Mayhem.
  • Echo of Pelinal's Fury: Read a Scroll of Pelinal's Ferocity during the Midyear Mayhem.
  • Hand of the Whitestrake: Acquire your 25th "Pelinal's Midyear Boon Box".
  • Wrath of the Whitestrake: Defeat 50 opponents during the Midyear Mayhem.
  • Pelinavant the Scourge: Win a Battleground match during the Midyear Mayhem.
  • Pelinaline the Bloody: Capture a Keep in Cyrodiil during the Midyear Mayhem.
  • Pelinerrif Insurgent: Capture an Imperial District during the Midyear Mayhem.

These Achievements require you to participate in both the Alliance War, Battlegrounds, and Imperial City matches. This means you must own the Imperial City DLC game pack in order to earn all the required Achievements.

To the Victor go the Spoils
As you earn glory in PvP, you'll receive Pelina's Midyear Boon Boxes in addition to your regular Rewards for the Worthy containers. This year, you can also earn the Boon Boxes from the repeatable Town, Battle, Bounty, Conquest, Scouting, and Warfront quests in Cyrodiil as well as the Battlegrounds repeatable quests, too.

These unique event boxes contain Tel Var Stones and a chance to receive one of these items:
  • Transmute Crystals
  • Alchemy reagents
  • PvP consumables such as repair kits, forward camps, and siege weapons
  • Motif pages for the Alliance and Akaviri styles
  • Style items for your Alliance
  • Akaviri style items
  • Coldharbour siege weapons
  • Prismatic Runestones
  • Books of Pelinal housing items
During the event, all nodes in Cyrodiil and the Imperial City will drop double their regular resources, and the Cyrodiil PvP merchant Adhazabi Aba-daro (known as “The Golden") will stock Alliance War Legendary-quality jewelry. In the first week of the event, you are able to purchase necklaces, and in the second week, you can acquire rings. You can find Adhazabi in the Western Elsweyr Gate, Northern High Rock Gate, or Southern Morrowind Gate once you enter Cyrodiil.

Finally, you can get into the spirit of the Midyear Mayhem event and truly honor Pelinal Whitestrake by picking up the Star-Made Wolfshead costume from the in-game Crown Store from July 26 until July 30.

The Elder Scrolls® Online - ZOS_Jessica_Folsom
Are you predator or prey? Answer the call of the Great Hunt and face Hircine's beasts in Wolfhunter, The Elder Scrolls Online's next DLC game pack. Scout out two brand-new dungeons and Update 19 in this preview article.

The Wolfhunter DLC game pack will be free to all ESO Plus members and available for purchase from the in-game Crown Store. This new DLC game pack challenges teams with two exciting werewolf-themed dungeons: March of Sacrifices and Moon Hunter Keep.

Update 19 will be available alongside the new dungeon pack and brings a series of improvements and new features free for all players, including a new Battlegrounds map, Alliance War changes, a new Skill respec update, and improvements to the Werewolf Skill Line!

Confront Hircine's Legacy
When decreed by Hircine, the Daedric Prince hosts the Great Hunt within his realm. In March of Sacrifices, you and your team must escape Hircine's Hunting Grounds, a place of perpetual conflict between predator and prey, by participating in his dangerous game. Your target: A powerful Indrik. Your rewards: A boon from the Daedric Prince himself!

However, you are not the only hunters competing to win Hircine's favor, and you'll quickly discover that many have been invited to participate. Be warned: As you stalk and fight your way through this extraordinary Daedric realm, you might find that you yourselves are the ones hunted!

In the second dungeon, an ancient werewolf of incredible power named Vykosa has captured Moon Hunter Keep and destroyed the Order of the Silver Dawn's garrison. Now, Vykosa draws more and more of Tamriel's were-beasts to her cause, and she has begun to amass a monstrous army.

You and your team must enter the once-proud headquarters of the Order, battle your way through hordes of were-beasts and other monsters, make your way to the heart of the keep, and confront Vykosa herself before she threatens all of Tamriel.

Of course, both March of Sacrifices and Moon Hunter Keep are packed full of ferocious new monsters and bosses (including the new werewolf behemoth!) and they can both be completed in Normal, Veteran, and Veteran Hard Mode to challenge you and your group. Should you and your team face Hircine's beasts and survive, you can earn new gear sets, monster masks, and unique collectibles. In addition to this, once you enter either of the two new dungeons, you will receive the Werewolf Hunter Hat, only available in the Wolfhunter DLC game pack!

New Battleground & PvP Update
Update 19 is a free base-game update for all ESO players arriving alongside the Wolfhunter DLC. This update includes an all-new Battlegrounds map and AvA additions for Tamriel's PvPers. Don't forget, since Update 18, Battlegrounds were moved to the base game and can be enjoyed by all!

Istirus Outpost (Battleground)

This new arena is located along Cyrodiil's southwest border, and features fortified stone structures and walls that should seem familiar to those who fight in the Alliance War. Istirus Outpost, however, has some unique twists that set it apart from other arenas. Firstly, the map is only semi-symmetrical, meaning how you navigate the arena will differ depending on your team. In previous Battlegrounds, each team has been able to move around the arena more-or-less the same way, but now you must develop your map knowledge early to ensure you can navigate it as quickly as possible.

To help with this, Istirus Outpost is also the first Battleground to allow players to mount. This'll bring a faster pace to the arena, but it will also be welcome relief for Stamina PvPers who no longer need to expend resources to get to the fight. Mount up!

AvA Changes and Additions

Update 19 also shakes up the open-world PvP of the Alliance War with the addition of Keep Recall Stones. These new items give you and your fellow warriors the ability to traverse Cyrodiil like never before. Finally, Update 19 reintroduces keep degradation and condenses both the levels for Keeps and Resources. With these changes, it is as important as ever to capture Resources, giving small group or solo players meaningful ways to contribute to the war. Keep an eye out for new AvA and Battlegrounds rewards, too, including the Gladiator costume and all-new Battlegrounds Outfit styles!

Base-Game Update
In addition to the new PvP features, Update 19 also brings a host of quality-of-life improvements and additions.

Respec 2.0

With Update 19, you are able to make smaller, more precise changes to your Skills thanks to the updated respec system. With this update, when you reset your Skill Points, you are able to remove Skills individually and are not forced to re-add all of them from scratch, much like how you respec your Champion Points. You can clear all your Skill Points like normal if desired, but this new system will mean that if you only want to make a small change to your character's Abilities, you can!

Werewolves Updated

If you have a character that carries the curse of lycanthropy, you can enjoy a series of broad improvements and changes to how the Werewolf Skill Line plays with Update 19. These changes place an emphasis on improving their ferocity and momentum in combat, and they affect both the Skill Line's Passive and Active Abilities. For example, the Blood Rage Passive will now increase the duration of your transformation when you deal damage instead of when you take it, and the Roar Active Ability is now instant cast.

There are many more updates, improvements, and fixes coming with Update 19, including some Class changes based on feedback from the ESO community. For more details on what is coming, be sure to check out the Patch Notes forum when they go live!

Join the Great Hunt
With the Wolfhunter DLC game pack and Update 19, Hircine's curse has taken hold in Tamriel and beyond. Are you prepared to face the March of Sacrifices and Moon Hunter Keep dungeons? Whether you are man or beast, let us know on Twitter @TESOnline and Facebook.

The Wolfhunter DLC game pack is coming soon for ESO Plus members and the in-game Crown Store. This new DLC game pack will arrive with Update 19, a free base-game update for all ESO players.

Any new characters created in ESO: Summerset will be able to go through the new tutorial. Once complete, you'll find yourself just outside the city of Shimmerene. Take a look around and you might be able to find Razum-dar himself!

Update 18
ESO: Summerset goes live in tandem with the free base-game Update 18. This update brings a host of new features, changes, and improvements that all ESO players can enjoy without needing to purchase the new Chapter first.

This new base-game update includes:
  • Crown Store Gifting & Daily Rewards
  • PvP additions & Combat changes
  • Battlegrounds moving to base game
  • Morrowind zone, content, & Warden class moving to Crown Store
Morrowind Moves to the Crown Store

With Update 18, some aspects of the Morrowind Chapter have move to the in-game Crown Store and base game. Firstly, Battlegrounds is now base-game feature, meaning that all can now enjoy the 4v4v4 arena. In addition to this, the Vvardenfell zone and story content is moving to the in-game Crown Store on June 5, meaning you can get access to Vvardenfell with Crowns or via ESO Plus membership. Finally, on June 5, the Warden class will also be available for Crowns in the in-game Crown Store. You can read more about this move in this preview article.

Crown Store Gifting

With Crown Store Gifting, you are now able to buy items from the Crown Store and have them sent directly to a friend or guild mate. Some conditions apply, so be sure to check out our Update 18 preview article.

Daily Rewards

With the Daily Rewards system, you receive unique rewards each day you log in. These rewards typically include consumables or currencies, but there will be milestone rewards that can include rarer items, too. Note that the first round of rewards will begin on June 5 for all platforms, not May 21. You can find more information about Daily Rewards in our Update 18 preview.

PvP Additions and Improvements

Update 18 also includes a host of PvP improvements, such as the addition of Cyrodiil's new Conquest quest board. The first time you complete one of these new quests each day, you'll receive a container that includes a “Gladiator's Proof." Collect 20 of these items and you'll be able to create the Arena Gladiator helmet, a unique collectible can only be acquired by taking part in the Alliance War.

Changes were made to AvA to ensure all players get the Alliance Points they deserve. There have also been tweaks to catapults, keep defenders, and more to ensure that the battle to control Cyrodiil is as fierce as ever. Finally, for Battlegrounds, we've added a special random queue daily reward that has a chance to award rare Outfit Style pages. Don't hesitate to check out our Update 18 PvP preview for more information.

Combat Changes

With Update 18, we've made combat changes that help you play the way you want to play. Two-handed weapons now count as two items for set bonuses, allowing you greater flexibility with regards to your gear. We've also revisited tanking and healing tools in an effort to ensure all classes can be successful in those roles. Finally, we've updated basic attacks to better emphasize that Light Attacks are meant to deal damage while Heavy Attacks are for restoring resources. Check out the Update 18 preview article for more.

All of the above Update 18 changes and additions (and more) can be found in greater detail in our Patch Notes forum.

The Elder Scrolls Online turns four! Join us in celebration of this amazing milestone by taking part in our in-game event and enjoying XP buffs, unique rewards, and cake!

Ache for Cake!
Are you ready to celebrate another year of The Elder Scrolls Online? Let's party! Here's everything you need to know to join in the festivities during our in-game anniversary event:
  • The anniversary event begins on Wednesday, April 4 at 10:00AM EDT and runs until Monday, April 16 at 10:00AM EDT.
    • To join the event, visit the famous Chef Donolon in Vulkhel Guard, Daggerfall, or Davon's Watch and complete his Anniversary quest “Ache for Cake." You can get directions to Chef Donolon's location by obtaining a Jubilee Cake Voucher free of charge from the in-game Crown Store.
  • When you complete “Ache for Cake" you'll receive the brand-new, three-tiered Anniversary Jubilee Cake. It'll be added to your Mementos within your Collectibles UI.
  • Activate the cake to place it in front of your character, then use it to enjoy a tasty slice and receive a two-hour 100% XP buff that stacks with any other active XP bonuses that your character might currently be enjoying (such as those from scrolls or ESO Plus membership).
More Rewards
It's ESO's anniversary, but during this event, everybody gets presents! Throughout the event, any daily or weekly quest you complete will earn you an Anniversary Gift Box (in addition to their regular rewards). These reward boxes contain crafting materials (ore, ingredients, runes, etc.) and a single rare crafting item (Nirncrux, style items, motif pages, etc.) Note: Gift Boxes cannot be earned by completing infinitely repeatable quests.

Rarer rewards include hard-to-get motif pages previously only available in Vvardenfell, the  Horns of the Reach dungeons, and the Clockwork City. Even rarer, you could receive a motif page for the brand-new Worm Cult style, a look that can only be found in the Anniversary Gift Boxes!

Get Your Dailies
To help you identify what daily and weekly quests are available to you, we have also added the “Adventurer's Almanac, 2nd Edition" to the game. Upon reading it, if you have completed the Mages Guild quest line, the new book will be added to your Eidetic Memory and be accessible from your Journal at any time. You can find the book somewhere near Chef Donolon in each capital city.

The book contains everything you need to know about the available weekly and daily quests, including their location, activity type, requirements, and recommended level of experience to complete. There's always adventure to be had in Tamriel, and now, you'll always be able to find it!

ESO Turns Four!
In these four years, we've been proud to hit some big-time milestones, including 10 million players last year. That said, the ESO community has hit some pretty amazing milestones of their own. Check out these incredible in-game statistics from PC/Mac launch until today:

Revel in a prank-filled celebration of the absurd and the foolish during the Jester's Festival event. Check out this article for everything you need to know in order to participate in the peculiar and preposterous fun!

Jester's Festival Frivolities
The Jester's Festival begins on Thursday, March 29 at 10:00AM EDT and will run until Monday, April 2 at 10:00AM EDT. If you want to take part in the silly season, make your way to the pavilions located outside the cities of Ebonheart, Vulkhel Guard, and Daggerfall.

When you arrive, strike up a conversation with one of the three Jesters dressed as either Jorunn the Skald-King, Queen Ayrenn, or High King Emeric (don't worry, they're not the real thing). Complete the intro quest titled “The Jester's Festival" to acquire the powerful not-a-Daedric artifact known as the Pie of Misrule. Note that if you completed the quest last year, you won't need to do so again. When you activate this delicious memento during the event, you'll receive a two-hour 100% XP buff. Once the event ends, you keep the pie, but it loses its XP “buffinating" properties. Sorry!

But don't worry, that's not all! Each day, you can talk to one of the Jesters to receive a unique daily task. Upon completion, you'll receive the Jester's Fesitval Box. This prodigiously prestigious package can contain the following weird and wonderful items:
  • A host of fun consumables
  • Unique Jester's Festival mementos:
    • Cherry Blossom Branch
    • New Scintillator Memento
  • Jester's Festival Housing items:
    • Jester's Standard
    • New Jester's Coffer that pops confetti!
    • New Recipe for Jester's Pavilion furnishing, allowing you build your own pavilion tent!

In addition to the above, there's a selection of Jester's Festival Achievements that you can earn throughout the event period. These Achievements even have unique rewards, including the Crown of Misrule hat and the Royal Jester title!

Finally, during the event, you can also acquire Jester's Large (15,000 gold) and Small Trees (5,000 gold) from the Achievement Vendor, Heralda Garscroft, found in Alliance Capitals.

Absurd New Crown Store Items
To help you get in the spirit of the silly season, the in-game Crown Store will also feature some Jester's Festival-themed items, including:
  • Royal Court Jester costume (at 50% off!)
  • Jester's Festival Hat Pack
  • Masqued “Unicorn" Steed
  • Madcap Jester Monkey pet
  • The Jester personality

Celebrate the Preposterous
The Jester's Festival will come to its inevitable and ignoble end on Monday, April 2, at 10:00AM EDT, so be sure to make the most of it!
