Agents Of Mayhem [official site] should not be judged for not being a Saints Row game. Volition are under no obligation to keep making that series, even after they struck on such extraordinary gold with SR III and IV. Agents Of Mayhem loosely shares the same universe, albeit mostly via the presence of the colour purple and fleurs-de-lis. There are also a few half-familiar character names, and a DLC that lets you add Johnny Gat into the mix, but beyond this AoM and SR are separate games. Different types of games. You can’t measure Agents Of Mayhem against Saints Row in a sensible way. Still, it doesn’t stop them> trying, and, well, you know, it’s nowhere near as good as the recent Saints Row games. Nobody knows the LEGION grunts better than ex-US Army Drill Sergeant Braddock – she actually trained most of them before they were recruited by LEGION. This discovery led Braddock to leave her beloved Corps and join MAYHEM where she uses her cigar to mark targets for orbital laser attacks that obliterate her enemies.

Next up is Yeti, an elite Russian soldier who took part in a secret “cold-warrior” program designed to create super soldiers to fight the threat of LEGION. While most were driven mad, Yeti survived, escaped, and joined MAYHEM.

Our final Carnage A Trois member is everyone’s favorite roller derby girl, Daisy. Bold and brash with no filter, Daisy is one of the best heavy weapons experts around. Daisy is a tough anchor for any squad, with quick movements thanks to her derby moves and powered skates, she uses her massive minigun to spray the battlefield taking out everything in sight.

Agents of MAYHEM is the upcoming single-player, open-world, third-person action game for the PS4, Xbox One, and PC gaming systems. Releasing on Steam August 15th.

Agents of Mayhem [official site], the explosion-laden singleplayer shooter from the creators of Saints Row, is shaping up rather nicely by all accounts. And by ‘all accounts’ I mean the accounts of both Holly and Adam, who enjoyed the over-the-top action of separate preview builds.

It’s just got a new trailer showing a man punching a car into lots of others cars, which all go boom, and a woman dancing on massive gun while screaming “I call this the Chicago deep dish”. Erm…okay. Oh, and there’s a Magnum PI cosplay from returning Saints Row favourite Johnny Gat. Because why not.
