Starting today, SUN DA is unlockable for everyone at 15,000 Steel!

Spectator Mode Beta launched today! With whichever console, you can now use Spectator Mode to exclusively spectate your friends! Here are the biggest updates:

• Breach matches can now be spectated. (The controls are the still the same; Tactical Cam, Free Cam and Player Cam.)
  
• Matches now start in Tactical Camera. So that you can immediately get a sense of what your team is doing, then do as you please.
  
• Player selection has been improved, both for controllers and keyboard + mouse.
  
• Stance Indicator is now visible when in Player Camera.
  
• Spectators can watch the same player between rounds of Duel, instead of going back to the default one every round.
  
• Player outlines are hidden when User Interface is hidden.
  
• The size of Player information panels has been increased (when in Spectator Mode only).

Many players in the Twitch chat asked:

• Can I spectate a player who isn’t a friend? Answer: No, you can only spectate your friends.
  
• Is it possible to prevent being spectated by others? Answer: Yes, but only in custom matches. (But again, only your friends can spectate you to begin with).

Fear On Sight stayed undefeated from the beginning to the grand finals. They met with Bush de Buhr, who was knocked down to the loser’s bracket but Fear on Sight in the quarter finals. They ran it back but going 2-0 all the way to the Grand Finals, where they ultimately lost to Fear On Sight 0-3.

The Arena 2v2 Brawl Tournament Series (PC)

• 18 Teams Participated
  
• First Place: GL’S (antonio0075, AbsolutTenebris)
  
• Second Place: Requiem (ZeroRequiem, Requiem4Fear)

GL’s beat the number one seed, Nazvanie (Helvegen) in the quarter finals 2-1 and continued to stay on the winner’s bracket. Requiem was knocked down by “yes but no” in the quarter finals, but “yes but no” lost to GL’s in the winner’s finals. Requiem got their revenge on the team that knocked them down in a 3-0 match in loser’s final to meet GL’s in the grands, who took victory 3-0.

A new quest awaits for the Zhanhu. Are you up for the challenge?

In the new map, Qiang Pass, breach the gates and kill their Commander, or guard the gates and protect yours!

This breach quest is available from November 7th till the 14th.




We got new white materials for all heroes this week, available for 10k Steel.




Finally the moment you've been waiting for! Who truly deserves the title of Big Mike?

Our Warrior's Den hosts wanted to try out the new heroes in an epic 1v1 matchup. The Zhanhu move gracefully across the arena, making dodges and parries a critical part of play. It seems Big Mike was no match despite dominating during practice session.

Klarissa had to step in, and while it was an extremely close match-up, she ultimately fell to Mike's blade.

Smoothbrains were sent to the losers bracket in the third round against Yes Boysh, who was also sent to the losers bracket by SCG B.E.B. shortly after. Smoothbrains ran it all the way back to the Grand Finals to fight SCG B.E.B.

Smoothbrains reset the grand finals with a clean 3-0 victory, but ultimately fell short to SCG B.E.B, who secured the tournament victory 3-1.

You can also pick up each one separately instead of opting for the bundle, purchasable in-game with steel.

Each faction has new weapons themed for the event. The Samurai sword, for example, has demons engraved on the handle.

We worked and improved on last year’s version…then lit it on fire!



Green flaming pumpkin heads can be found throughout, as well as a huge, ominous green vortex in the sky. But don’t worry! Green fire is magical (of course), and won’t harm you if you touch it. Just be careful when crossing the bridge, as the red flames can still damage you.

Spooky Slashers is a variation on Dominion mode, but with huge buffs to minions. They got a big damage boost and they’re also much harder to kill, because what’s spookier than a nigh unstoppable minion?

They’re also the main way to acquire points in Spooky Splashers! 5 points for each minion you slay.

How to Dominate Minions



Minions Are Deadlier than Ever...



And nigh unstoppable!



But capturing points will give you a defensive shield bonus...



And make you stronger than ever...



So you can slay minions and collect points!


Getting the shield is key, as it has 2 effects: first, you’ll reduce damage taken by minions; and second, you’ll increase your damage output against minions. So be sure to capture!

To win, get 1,000 points to Break and Kill the enemy.

Starting today, Fangs of the Otherworld, For Honor’s limited-time Halloween event, is available to all players. The event features a fang-tastic new game mode, spooky Halloween-themed loot, and even more ghastly goods. Fangs of the Otherworld comes to an end on November 1, so don’t hesitate to jump in if you want in on the most hair-raising event of the year.



The new mode, Spooky Slashers, is a variation on Dominion mode. Here, players capture zones to gain special boosts, which they can use to slay the frightening demons lurking throughout the map. Players will need to keep their wits about them, as danger lurks around every corner, and dying means losing any boosts.



Players can earn Halloween-themed loot through random drops at the end of all matches until the event ends. Loot takes the form of themed Battle Outfits, terrifying effects, and haunting weapons. Additionally, players can purchase yikes-inducing executions and jack-o’-lantern inspired effects. The Apotropaic outfit, as well as two new chilling illustrious outfits, are available for all Heroes. All event-themed loot can be unlocked for each Hero by purchasing their corresponding Fangs of the Otherworld item bundle until November 4.

This weekend, Battle for the East 2019 will host their For Honor 1v1 and 2v2 Tournament at the Showboat Hotel in Atlantic City, NJ. There is a prize pot of $750.

The 2v2 Tournament will begin at 6 PM ET on Friday, Oct 4th and the 1v1 Tournament will begin at 6 PM ET on Saturday, Oct 5th. Both will be streamed, make sure to catch the action here on Twitch!
