We'll be switching over to the new network hardware tonight at 11 PM PST and will monitor server status very closely once we're back online.

Update 9 - November 17th, 1:00 PM PST (9:00 PM GMT):

Hi all!

Just a quick update on our progress. Our network team has done really great work to keep things running more smoothly over the last few days. We do still have occasional disconnects but we recover very quickly. The new router hardware is arriving this week and we'll start the process of getting everything hooked up and tested as soon as possible.

We are also working with third party Internet providers so we'll likely make the switch over to the new hardware on a weekday rather than bringing it online over the weekend (just to be sure to avoid any extended downtime).

We'll continue to update you with the latest as new info comes in. Thanks everyone!

Update 8 - November 15th, 6:25 PM PST (2:25 AM GMT):

Thank you all for being so patient and understanding regarding the recent network connectivity issues.

Over the last few days we've implemented several changes that have increased stability, though we're still working to address the underlying cause.

Players will still be affected by the issue periodically. Getting this fix in place remains our top priority and we have very specific plans of action being implemented. In addition, we're putting together compensation packages for all of our games and will send those out once we've gotten the network issues resolved.

Keep an eye on this post for more updates in the days ahead.


Update 7 - 4:30 PM PST (12:30 AM GMT) - With the network connection issues over the last few days we know many of you are concerned with your Patron status or just lost time playing Trove. We agree that this has been a bad experience all around and we wanted to let everyone know the plan moving forward into the weekend.

  • We're putting together compensation for everyone who has logged in since these issues started. This is something we'll provide to players once we've resolved the issue and everyone is able to get in and play normally.
  • Until the network issue is completely resolved we will have ongoing disconnects. As we've mentioned, we'll do everything we can to get the game up and running as quickly as possible when we do come offline.

Our network team is working to resolve these issues all day, even on weekends. If we do have disconnects, rest assured we're on it.

Getting these network issues resolve remains our top priority. Please hang in there a bit longer.

Update 5 - 1:20 PM PST (8:20 PM GMT) - While we work to resolve the connection issues we may bring the game online periodically. When we do this it is with the intention of allowing everyone to play normally, but there is a risk that the network may drop connection again. This is part of the process of getting the issue resolved, so please bear with us.

We know the last two days of disconnects and downtime have hurt your gameplay, and we want you to know that our teams have been working as hard as possible to get everything back to normal. We’ve identified two network issues that are causing troubles for those of you connecting to our Dallas (North America) datacenter. Update 2 - We're patched up and back online. Thanks everyone.


Update 1 - We're doing another restart to resolve the connection issues. With this unexpected downtime this evening we're going to roll out the patch now. Once the patch is completed we'll come back online with no downtime for tomorrow.

We're aware of the current connectivity issues players are running into and our network folks are working to address it. There appears to be a hiccup in the connection between our network and an external ISP.

  • Fixed bug where the tutorial objective resets for players the first time after they log in since Tuesday's patch. Unfortunately, a side effect of this fix is that anyone whose objectives were reset will get reset again. However, anyone who has not logged in since the patch will not get reset when they login.
  • Fixed a few incorrect speed values on assorted sets of wings which were too slow.

Hey all, Avarem here. I wanted to drop a quick note about a few changes in this hotfix.

First of all the primary reason for this is to reset (yes again) the tutorial objectives. These were corrupted in our last patch, causing a reset. The only way to prevent all additional players who log in from being similarly corrupted was to implement a fix that resets players who reached the corrupted and therefore reset state. We wanted to get this fix out before the weekend and our weekend warriors logged in for the first time since the patch. On the bright side, if you complete one or both of the join the party objectives before this update you should find that you can complete them again.

Secondly, we are removing the Yuge hairstyle from the game with this patch. What originally felt like a lighthearted joke now felt like something much more divisive and exclusionary. If you were using this hairstyle when you log in after the update you will now find yourself to be bald.

Just when you thought it was safe to go back in the water - Thallasion, Shaper of the Currents invades the Drowned World and he’s not just practicing the backstroke. Take down this wet and wild world boss to earn your very own Thallasion legendary dragon mount!

Reel in this acid-spewing terror from the deeps!



You’ll find Thallasian underwater in Drowned World biomes as a very rare spawn. If you’re able to find his submerged lair you can also take the fight right to him.

The Shaper of the Currents was born of the sea and from the ocean he receives new life. He's being constantly healed by the water during the fight so you'll need a group of adventurers to take him down. Beware the powerful poison he spits – while it will rob you of your health it will rapidly heal Thallasion.

Collect enough Deep Sea Dragon Egg fragments when you take down this supreme sea serpent and you’ll be able to craft your very own Thallasion, Shaper of the Currents legendary dragon!



Unlocking Thallasion grants all of these permanent bonuses:

  • 250 Physical Damage
  • 1,800 Health Regeneration
  • 50 Magic Find
You won’t need to fish for compliments on this legendary leviathan!
