The battle for dominance over Erenor moves north as the Claim phase begins on Fresh Start.
Welcome to Phase 2
Your adventures on the Fresh Start servers, Nui & Ezi, have been full of PvP, mobs, and single planting carrots. Phase 2 is here and you've got newly available places explore, mobs to kill, gear to craft, and illegal farms to camp. Check out the patch notes and read on for a glimpse of Phase 2 updates.
More Places to Explore
Players have already set foot on Auroria, but only in Diamond Shores and Mistmerrow. Now they'll be able to explore and interact with Nuimari, Heedmar, Marcala, and Calmlands for hunting, gathering and questing! These lands also opens up the opportunity to plant Archeum Saplings for archeum, and farm Regrade Braziers for sun/moon/star points used to craft Regrade scrolls. (The 30g Regrade Scrolls will be removed from the Marketplace this phase)
More to Craft and Upgrade
It's time to use all those mats you've been hoarding to upgrade your Magnificent gear to Epherium tier! Or will you choose the new Hiram Guardian gear path? Hiram gear drops from the Abyssal Legion mobs scattered throughout Auroria in Diamond Shores, and the 4 newly available territories on Fresh Start. (On Legacy servers, Golden Ruins is also home to the Abyssal Legion mobs.) Each piece of gear they drop starts at Grand and comes with 3 bonus stats. It'll cost you 60 labor to identify each piece of Hiram gear. This gear uses the Synthesis system to upgrade, and is fed any other type of Hiram gear to do so. When it reaches a new grade you'll have the opportunity to reroll a stat, so choose wisely!
If you enjoy peaceful rides through Erenor on your way to make a little coin, prepare to use a little elbow grease upgrading your Farm Carts to Farm Wagons, which can carry 4 packs at a time! You'll be rolling in gold before you know it. If you want to really appreciate the beauty of Erenor, craft yourself a Glider and take to the skies! Phase 2 will also allow tier 2 Glider upgrades so you can fly faster, farther, and maneuver more effectively.
ArcheAge 4.5 – Legends Return is here. Prepare to carve out your heroic legacy as you venture out into a fresh new world.
Citizens of Erenor, your journey is only beginning! Whether you're a veteran adventurer or a new player looking for excitement and danger, we welcome you to journey through our latest update - ArcheAge 4.5: Legends Return.

Darkness is coming. Gather your friends and stand against the shadowy new invaders.
New Shadow Invasion
New with ArcheAge 4.5: Legends Return, a mysterious shadow is lashing out whenever adventurers take down one of the 8 world bosses key to its insidious schemes. We suggest you muster around 10 players with about 6k Equipment Score to eliminate this imposing threat. One minute after dropping any of these 8 world bosses, brand new baddies will spawn, including new under-bosses specific to each Shadow Invasion. When the leader of each invasion is defeated, they'll yield a rare material which can be crafted into a valuable new trade pack. Hunt down these new events to earn achievements, Gilda Stars, Honor, and even Gold Crates that offer Lunarite - which are opened with a new in-game craftable key.

Regrade System Upgrades
Crafted pieces of gear, such as accessories, weapons, and armor will no longer be destroyed at grades equal to or above Celestial. (Applicable to - Illustrious, Magnificent, Epherium, Delphinad, and Ayanad) Instead, the item will be locked to its current grade and will be unable to progress to higher grades. This new item state is called 'Crystallized' and is visibly noted by a red circle icon in the top left the item's image. The Crystallization feature does not apply to dungeon gear or Obsidian gear.
This allows the player to continue to use the item even after their regrade fails, including selling it on the Auction House, trading it to other players, and feeding it to Erenor equipment.
Anchoring Charms/Stones will prevent an item from downgrading, being destroyed, or becoming Crystallized.
The success rates for all gear regrades will also be upgraded in the 4.5 release!

Crafting Request Bench
It is very rare for an adventurer to acquire enough proficiency in all trades to function without the help of others. The Crafting Request system allows players with insufficient proficiency to post jobs that other specialists can complete for them. This job list shows the item in need, as well as the price they're willing to pay, almost like a reverse Auction House. You can even post a request from the Folio!
If you're ever looking to make some money while boosting your proficiency, stop by a Crafting Request Bench and have a look around. You'll have the piece of mind that when you spend the Labor to craft an item, you'll see gold at the end. The materials will even be supplied for you! That's right, the player who is issuing the request must have all required materials and fees for that build - you'll need the appropriate amount of Labor and proficiency.
This system allows for a safe transfer of goods for gold, something that wasn't always the case in the past. You can find a Crafting Request bench near any Community Center.
Notes:
When creating a request, you'll package all the materials up into a "Crafting Request" item that you can post with a price.
A max of 5 requests may be posted at a time.
When an order has been fulfilled, it will be sent via in-game mail.
The crafter will receive their gold via in-game mail.
If no one has taken a job, it can be cancelled. However the moment a player takes the job, the item is crafted.

Discover the secrets of summoning dragons (without razing your castle) in our first ArcheAge 4.5 – Legends Return preview.
Mysterious hordes of corrupted creatures have begun to darken the lands of Erenor. But with the return of the ancient dragons, determined adventurers can raise their own fire-breathing mounts, fly out to battle their faction’s foes, and become the dragon-riding heroes of legend.
Wield Intimidating Power
Once you've raised your dragon you can take to the skies, search for a battle to join, or even just have it follow you around—menacingly—while you run errands. However, be warned: unlike most mounts, these ferocious beasts may not be unsummoned until combat has ended. These giant battle allies also serve as mounts that can carry you and a friend. Their abilities may be activated while mounted or walking along side it (with the exception of Dragon Flight). Dragon Flight - 5 minutes of true flight! You can gain altitude, and even use your other abilities while air born.
Tempest Wings - Increases flying speed by +50% for 10 seconds.
Wing Gale - Pushes enemies back 30 meters and the dragon's received damage is reduced by 50% for the duration.
Dragon Roar - Knocks nearly everything within a 120m radius out of the air, and deals massive damage to summoned pets or mounts.(Doesn't affect other Dragons or Wyverns)
Dragon's Breath - Each dragon has it's own breath weapon effect. It has 3 charges with a 30 second cooldown, and refreshes 1 charge every 8 hours.
Clinging Flame (Red Dragon Breath)
Deals siege damage over time and then explodes, damaging enemies within 5 meters.
Bonus damage vs buildings and vehicle parts.
Paralyzing Poison (Green Dragon Breath)
Deals damage and inflicts increasing slow each second.
Corrosive Acid (Black Dragon Breath)
Deals Siege Damage over time, and reduces Received Healing by 100%.
Deals bonus damage to buildings and vehicle parts.
Become a Dragon Rider
If you are willing to brave the ferocity of the Red Dragon, the enigmatic Daru will provide you a dragon heart to create your destructive mount.
Defeat the Red Dragon and collect a rare item, the Dragon Heartshard, which you'll bring to a Daru Priest in Marianople, Austera, or Freedich Isle to begin the quest line. Turn in the Dragon Heartshard, along with other rare materials, to receive one of 3 types of Dragon's Hearts.
The Red Dragon mount uses the Flamebeat Heart. The Green Dragon mount uses the Windsong Heart. The Black Dragon mount uses the Earthroar Heart.
One of these Dragon's Hearts, combined with an Eternal Flame Scroll will allow the Dragon Trainer Daru to begin raising your fearsome dragon mount. To help the dragon regain its strength, you'll need to provide the Dragon Trainer Daru with a good many Magic Amplifiers.
After a time, your dragon will be ready to claim, level up, and wreak havoc from the skies.
Because this ancient creature is so powerful, after 30 days you'll need to rekindle it's loyalty with an Eternal Flame Scroll. After that, it’s back to the skies!
Are you ready to summon your dragon? This is just a taste of what’s to come in Update 4.5: Legends Return, so make sure to join us next week for another deep dive into the update, and don’t miss out on the livestream this Friday at 1:30 PM PST!
