Go beyond Level 55 with Ancestral Levels and Ancestral Skills
“It was the moment she had waited for. The day when all the mud, the blood, and the pain she endured made sense. In this moment, she realized where her destiny lay.”

Level 55 is no longer the end of your journey! Explore a continuation of the main storyline of ArcheAge as you ascend into Ancestral Levels!

With each new rank comes a new set of deadly choices: Ancestral Skills. Harness the power of the elements into the skills you already possess, and change them into something you’ve never seen before.

Check the skills section for a listing of these new, incredible skills!

Visit new areas of Auroria: Whaleswell Straits, Whalesong Harbor, and Aegis Island
“The old harbor reeked, but we needed a new foothold in our fight against Anthalon.”

Visit more territory of the Northern Continent as we journey to Whalesong Harbor and Aegis Island. Fight against the newest threats posed by Anthalon, and learn more what the Ipnysh heroes struggled to contain in the Abyss so long ago.

Old system, new tricks: Trading Update
“Remember when we use to park our boat by the docks, and that guard guy would get so pissed off we could steal from pretty much anyone? What was his name again?”

Trading has undergone a large amount of changes, from trade packs to stabilizers rewards. Check the trade section for more information!

New Crafting, Erenor Crafting & Regrading Mechanics
“And as the power began to flow back into the world, the old ways of things began to give way to the new.”

Erenor gear and the Eternal item grade are now available. Crafting mechanics have been revised along with regrade mechanics. Check the Crafting & Regrades section for more!

Erenor Gear requires Ancestral Level 1 to be worn.

Meet the new laws of conflict
“Hey, before you go on that trade run… I just wanted to say… I love you… and be careful out there…”

Conflict isn’t limited to PvP anymore! Now zones can move through conflict via player kills, NPC monster kills, and through quest completions. Now you’ll see more zones in peace, and more times when you can take advantage of the spoils of war. Golden Ruins has also been moved to a changing conflict cycle.

Halcyona, Whalesong Harbor, and Aegis Island will also only perform their events when they are pushed into war. This means events may happen multiple times per day, and will be started by player actions. Mistmerrow, Diamond Shores, and Karkasse remain on special timers for their conflict settings.

New Events!
New Horizons Await: June 7 – June 20 – Visit Erenor’s newest zones in style! Talk to Adventurer Rogen in Austera, Marianople, or Diamond Shores to get two new quests to explore Whalesong Harbor and Aegis Island. Once you have that quest, visit the corresponding zone and retrieve the daily quests from the Crimson Watch Camp. Once those event quests are completed, these special event quests will be completed too and reward you with 1 Daru Warrior’s Chest and 1 Honorable Warrior’s Medal!

Let’s Have a Real Match: June 21 – July 3 – Starting on June 21, visit the Masked Daru in Marianople for two new quests focused on some good, old fashioned Arena brawls. Complete either one for a reward of 5-10 Warrior’s Medals, 2 Bruiser’s Badges, and 300 Honor!

Our final week of Erenor Eternal coverage is here, Adventurers! After this week, we’re full steam ahead in launching Erenor Eternal on June 7, and we can’t wait to see you there!

This week’s topic focuses solely on the two new land new areas added to Auroria: Whalesong Harbor and Aegis Island. You’ll learn a little about their backstory, why you want to visit, and what lies in store for your adventures there!

Getting the lay of the land
Whalesong Harbor and Aegis Island are brand new territories to the West of Auroria. Whalesong Harbor is connected to Golden Ruins via a western path, while Aegis Island lies across the new Whaleswell Straits ocean area.

Whalesong Harbor is an expansive stretch of Auroria that once served as a major fishing port for the continent. Now, all that’s left in the region are the broken and rotten planks of the old Harbor and the preserved carcasses and bones of the whales who washed up from the sea.

The Harbor is now home to the Crimson Watch, who have begun utilizing new technology to thwart the evil necromancer, Anthalon’s, plans. These new machines are able to pull in Anthalon’s malevolent shadow and contain it, turning the energy into power that can be used to defend the area from his attacks.

To the west of the harbor lies Aegis Island, famous for two things: the grand Tower of Ipnya, which hovers as a glowing beacon in the center of the island, and the Great Seal which the hero Inoch created to hold back the dreaded Akasch.

While Inoch’s efforts were noteworthy, his seal was created long after the Akasch were first imprisoned. The seal stands as yet another temporary ward to keep the Akasch away from this world. In reality, the entire Island was created by the ancient Ipnysh heroes to keep the Akasch imprisoned. If the island, the seals, or the tower are ever destroyed, the Akasch will be freed.

What makes Whalesong and Aegis so special?
If you have your eyes set on Erenor gear and the gorgeous wing illusion that your character receives for wearing a full set (not to mention the great stats), then you’re going to need to become familiar with Whalesong Harbor and Aegis Island. Both areas host special events that offer up the required Ipnish Blessing materials you’ll need to make your Erenor gear.

Each Ipnish Blessing requires 200 Acid Gobbets from Aegis Island to create one Acid Vial and 200 Cursed Armor Scraps from Whalesong Harbor to create one Complete Cursed Armor.

To get these important pieces, you’ll need to jump into two new events that take place separately in each area.

Tackling brand new events
Once Aegis Island or Whalesong Harbor reach war through the conflict system (which, as of Update 3.5, can be pushed forward via PvP kills, quest completions, or monster kills), the Crimson Watch will prepare themselves for an onslaught from their enemies. While both events are battles against waves of enemies and bosses that must be completed as a group, each has a different twist.

In Whalesong Siege, players will be scattered across the map at different key points depending on their faction. Nuia, Haranya, Pirates, and Player Nations all have different containment tower that they will need to defend. Pick up quests from the Crimson Watch Camp in the south before heading to your point.

Your Containment Towers can be defended using your skills, or you can make use of the mechanical turrets powered by malevolent shadow surrounding your tower. Simply walk up and activate a turret to fire it against the hordes of enemies that will approach.

Complete your 3 daily quests for an extra quest completion that affords some Cursed Armor Scraps and Honor Points.

In the Aegis Island Seal Defense, all factions will have to endure (or not endure) one another’s presence as they move about the island to prevent Anthalon from destroying the seals. The quests will instruct you where to head to defend, and you’ll be able to retrieve them from the Crimson Watch Camp just north of the Torch of Ipnya.

As you fight, you’ll be able to interact with the spirits of the ancient Ipnysh heroes and call upon them to aid you in the battle. Keep an eye out for them, as they are ready to turn the tides in your favor!

Conquer the Final Sealbreaker to end the event and collect your rewards.

Welcome back to our Round 2 of Erenor Eternal coverage, Adventurers! This week’s topic is everything items! We’ve got some big changes coming to our crafting, and plenty of adjustments to the Regrade system to boot!

First Up: Crafting Changes
Before we can dive into any of the specific Regrade changes or how Erenor item crafting works, there need to be a few ground rules laid down on how the crafting system itself has changed. Many of these improvements have been made with the ArcheAge community’s requests in mind, and the make crafting less reliant on the dreaded force of ArcheAge: RNG. The team’s goal has been to simplify crafting from its current form.

Overall, we can break down these changes into three categories: Tiers of items have been removed, crafted items are now cloaked to reduce RNG, salvaging items no longer provides mana wisps.

Tiers removed, upgrades still available
First, the lower ranked Craftsman, Artisan, and Conqueror tiers have been removed from the game. Overall, this will reduce the amount of tiers of items that exist in the game, giving players a straighter path towards end-game crafted loot.

If you own one of these items and are worried if you can still upgrade them, you can! The Crafting Folio will have special recipes for these times come 3.5, so you’ll be able to move them up into the next available tier without issue. This conversion process does come with a cost depending on what tier you are at, so keep your money in mind.

Crafted items are now cloaked, not sealed
As seen in the Obsidian crafting system, Cloaked Items allow you to choose what upgrade comes out of them. Now, instead of begging RNGesus for that Ocean proc, you can choose what element blesses your weapon or armors upon uncloaking the item. Specific elements are no longer required for higher grades either.

Instead, required elements are replaced by required regrade levels. To upgrade to the next tier, make sure the item is at the appropriate grade noted below and re-cloak your item by making a Transmuter. It will be used in the crafting process to create the next tier.
  • Artificer Rank items require Grand grade or higher
  • Illustrious Rank items require Rare grade or higher
  • Magnificent Rank items require Arcane grade or higher
  • Epherium Rank items require Unique grade or higher
  • Ayanad Rank items require Celestial grade or higher
  • Erenor Rank items require Divine grade or higher
Once an item is upgraded, its grade will be set to Basic, so keep that in mind before upgrading!

Salvaging no longer provides mana wisps
Wisps are completely retired from the game and can be converted into Archeum Crystals as of Erenor Eternal. Their conversion chart is below:
  • 1x One-Hander Metal Mana Wisp = 15 Sunlight Archeum Crystals
  • 1x Two-Hander Metal Mana Wisp = 15 Sunlight Archeum Crystals
  • 1x Wooden Mana Wisp = 15 Sunlight Archeum Crystals
  • 1x Musical Mana Wisp = 15 Sunlight Archeum Crystals
  • 1x Large Jewelry Mana Wisp = 15 Starlight Archeum Crystals
  • 1x Small Jewelry Mana Wisp = 15 Starlight Archeum Crystals
  • 1x Cloth Mana Wisp = 15 Moonlight Archeum Crystals
  • 1x Leather Mana Wisp = 15 Moonlight Archeum Crystals
  • 1x Plate Mana Wisp = 15 Moonlight Archeum Crystals
For Obsidian Crafting, wisps have also been replaced by corresponding amounts of Archeum.

Salvage Forges have been removed from the game. If you are a Salvage Forge owner, you can either convert your forge to a Thunderstruck Tree, sell it to a Merchant for 15 gold, or keep it to remember the good ‘ol days where wisps were king and you had to RNG your way up a hill, both ways!

Regrade Changes & Difficulty Levels
As noted in our Producer’s Letter, Erenor Eternal introduces a brand new grade of item into the game: Eternal. Eternal sits above Mythic, and it is the highest enchantment an item can receive.

Regrade difficulties have also been added to the game, making some types of items easier to regrade while others are “harder.” Harder is in quotes because almost all grades have a higher success chance than pre-Erenor Eternal rates, even the “hard” path. Only a few grades in the hard path break from this convention.

For those who regrade Ship and Mount Accessories, you’ll be able to use charms during your regrade process.

The Regrade window in-game will also now display the chance you have at succeeding in any given regrade. That’s right – no more bland arrows! So, to celebrate, ArcheAge’s base regrade rates (no resplendents, no charms) as of Update 3.5, Erenor Eternal have been listed below. #WeDidItFam

Crafting Erenor Tier Gear
Last but certainly not least: Erenor crafting! This new pinnacle of ArcheAge gear works a bit differently than the gear that preceded it. Instead of regrading like normal, Erenor gear requires you to sacrifice previously crafted gear in order to move up in enchantment grades. Each piece sacrificed gives a specific amount of experience to your item. Once the experience bar is full, it will level up to the next grade.

Higher grades unlock additional stats for your item, increasing its usefulness and efficiency.

Good news for those of you who keep an eye on the Korean server: Our version of Erenor Eternal is launching with the improved power rank and experience changes from the Erenor gear revision. You won’t have to wait for a later patch to enjoy those improvements!

Upgrading to Erenor
As noted above, you’ll need a cloaked Ayanad item of at least Divine rank as the base of your Erenor item. You’ll also need…
  • 180k Proficiency in your trade
  • A Regal level crafting station
  • Archeum
  • An Ipnysh Blessing – Create these using items gained from Whalesong Harbor or Aegis Island. They can be made in Sunlight, Moonlight, and Starlight versions, and different items require different blessings. Forge them on Aegis Island.
  • Dyes or Archeum Ingots
  • Blazing tier crafting materials
  • Ancestral Level 1 is required to equip the item
Leveling up from basic
Once your Erenor item exists, leveling it up requires you to offer it other items in tribute.

Different items provide different amounts of experience, as noted below. This experience value will be improved by 10% for each grade it is above basic, so it does pay to gain some grades on an item before offering it as tribute.

Once your Erenor item reaches a higher tier, you cannot use any item that’s a lower grade as a tribute. For example, if your Erenor item is Unique, you must offer an item that’s Unique grade or higher as tribute. Basic, Grand, Rare, Arcane, and Heroic won’t work.

Erenor Item Experience Requirements
  • Basic – 2,871 exp to level
  • Grand – 4,291 exp to level
  • Rare – 5957 exp to level
  • Arcane – 7,862 exp to level
  • Heroic – 11,151 exp to level
  • Unique – 14,940 exp to level
  • Celestial – 19,214 exp to level
  • Divine – 25,643 exp to level
  • Epic – 34,816 exp to level
  • Legendary – 45,214 exp to level
  • Mythic – 59,259 exp to level
Crafted Item Tribute Offerings (Basic Grade)
  • Apprentice offers 28 exp
  • Artificer offers 85 exp
  • Illustrious offers 198 exp
  • Magnificent offers 373 exp
  • Epherium offers 833 exp
  • Delphinad offers 1,575 exp
  • Ayanad offers 2,700 exp
  • Erenor offers 4,315 exp

ArcheAge - Trion_Celestrata
