ArcheAge's fourth Closed Beta Event begins this week, starting Friday, August 22 at 10:00 AM PDT (GMT-7) and running until the same time on Wednesday, August 27! Players who participated in CBE3 will not need to redownload the entire game client, only an incremental patch to Build 4.6 which will be on our Alpha servers tomorrow.

New with this event, you can to choose to play ArcheAge in English, French, or German on any server! If you've played in a previous Closed Beta Event, your character will be waiting for you – in whatever language you choose. Your timers on crops and taxes are set to pick up right where they left off at the end of the last event. (To change the language in ArcheAge, just log in to your Glyph Client, go to “Settings”, click on “General”, and select the language that you would like.)

It's important to note that invites to CBE3 will not be valid for CBE4, but we are expecting that this event will be twice as large as the last event with even randomly-selected invitations for fans who signed up on the official ArcheAge website. Partner site giveaways of CBE4 codes will begin Wednesday, August 20 at Alienware, Razer, Rixty, http://www.mmorpg.com/, PCGamesN, MMOHuts, MMOGames, OnRPG. Additionally, our Alpha and Founder players will have access to all of Beta.

ArcheAge Beta Shots Fired Contest

Capture a screenshot from ArcheAge based on the guidelines below for a chance to win an Archeum Founder's Pack.

Instructions

• Take an ArcheAge screenshot that captures the essence of Closed Beta Event 3's theme: "Blood & Bounty".
  
• To take a screenshot in ArcheAge, press F9. To remove the UI (before taking the screenshot), press F12 (which will bring up the image shown below). To activate Screenshot Mode, press CTRL+F12. Screenshots captured this way will appear in the following directory by default: C:\...\Documents\ArcheAge\ScreenShots
  
• The screenshot must be personally taken by you using the in-game screen capture tool and must be submitted in a digital format (ideally JPG).
  
• No image manipulation is permitted. We're looking for raw screenshots, ideally with the UI turned off (see the image below for shortcuts).
  
• Your entry should be "safe for work" and will be disqualified or deleted if it is indecent in nature. As a rule of thumb: if you have to ask, it's probably not permitted.
  
• Your entry cannot use content that is copyrighted or trademarked, including custom logos.
  
• One entry per person. Submitting more than one entry may disqualify you.
