This rage-filled Sith Lord is complete with custom Signature FX, unique lock-in animation, a dedicated roster spot, and his distinctive lightsaber!

Patch 8.08 also brings new features, new Clash FXs, Vivi – now available to unlock for only 5,400 Gold, streamer mode, game improvements & bug fixes!

The formidable Sith apprentice, Darth Maul is now in Brawlhalla as a Mythic Crossover! He joins the ever-expanding ranks which include Anakin Skywalker, Ahsoka Tano, Darth Vader, and his nemesis Obi-Wan Kenobi.

Alongside them all, check out the R2-D2 Sidekick, 2 new Sith-themed Avatars (no more, no less), and 4 new Emoji Skins! Find all of these and more Star Wars items in Mallhalla by following the crossed lightsabers.

New Seasonal Ranked Mode – Ranked Street Brawl

For the first time ever, we’re rotating the Game Mode available in the Seasonal Ranked Queue! Following the 1 Stock 3v3 Crew Battles, the brawl for Glory and a spot among the Valhallans continues in Ranked Street Brawl!

Choose your Legend and brawl your opponent in this 1v1 mode by depleting their health bar. Defeat your opponent first in this stamina mode to win!

Account Level Rewards

Introducing new unique rewards for leveling up your Legend past level 20! For your dedication to playing as your favorite Legends we’ve added a new reward at Level 50.

Earn the “Nickname” of a Legend as an equipable Title in a brand new, distinctive dark blue color!
For example: level-up Bӧdvar to level 50 and receive the Title “The Unconquered Viking”
If you've previously leveled up a Legend to 50 or above, you'll need to play a match with that Legend to unlock their Title.

Streamer Mode

In the “System Settings” menu, we’ve added a new setting for “Streamer Mode” underneath the Music & Sound volume sliders. This allows players to turn off copyrighted music in-game.

New Clash Visual & Sound FX

When a player and their opponent attack each other at the same time, there are several new “clash” visual effects and sound effects depending on the equipped Weapons, the timing, & force of the hit. There are no functionality changes to the way “clash” has always worked in the main queues, but we hope this change makes the visual and sound effects more clear & noticeable.

New Map Selection Mode: Leader Picks!

In this map selection mode, the current lobby leader can choose which map to play on.

New “Epic Weapon Skin” UI in Mallhalla.
Player match icons in top-right HUD now display their Team Colors and/or Color swaps. Especially helpful for Skins with less-noticeable Color swaps.
Chel and Hugin roster portraits now appear for their “Alternate” Skins as well as their “Base” Skins.

Localization

Updated the Portuguese localization for Vivi’s “Charmed, I’m Sure” Blasters, “Aú Sem Mão” Boots, and “Grã-mestra Batista” Skin.

Ranked

Mustafar has been removed from the Ranked Map pool.

Art & Animation

Tai Lung and Hellboy now display the correct Gauntlets on the correct hand at all times.
Fixed a graphical bug where some animated Spear tips wouldn't animate properly.
Adjusted Seven's character-select animation to work better with a wider variety of Spear Weapon Skin types.

Gameplay

Fixed a bug that allowed a Chase Dodge during some attacks, which would also cancel the attack animation.
Fixed a bug where replays past the first screen could not be watched. (Mobile)

Matchmaking groups no longer allow spectators to be leaders.
Fixed a bug where the variation wouldn't always be correct when viewing settings for matchmaking queues.
Fixed a bug where looping animations would play longer than they should when scrubbing in replays.

Fixed a bug where the Ranked Season 32 Adept and Veteran Titles were swapped.
Spelling fix for “Shinsekai” in Red Raptor’s Lore (English).
Capitalized “Legends” in Tezca’s Lore (English).

Thatch – The tournament is a paradise of chaos and fire for this Madman of Barbados as he brandishes Sword and Blasters.
Cross – For years he has owned New York City, but can he do the same in Valhalla? This charismatic mobster steps into Valhalla with Blasters and Gauntlets.
Ragnir – This apex predator, whose home is in the Fangwild, now ventures outward using his Katars and Axe to take on the rest of the Legends in Valhalla!
Lin Fei – A defender of the innocent and teacher of the lost ways. She is a great teacher who has developed her own fighting style, the ‘Way of the Iron Dragon,’ which utilizes her Cannon, Katars and an ancestral dragon-spirit.
Ezio – The reward for a life well lived is eternity in Valhalla. Wielding his Auditore Blade and the Apple of Eden, Ezio is ready to use his assassin’s skills on any rambunctious opponents that stand in his way.

Munin – Rocking out to the sweet sounds of her Scythe and Bow, she’s ready to brawl in the Grand Tournament and finish her next Ravenqueen concert!
Scarlet – A former women’s boxing champion from England and head of the Royal Airship Navy, Scarlet used her ingenuity and knowledge of steam powered machines to build her own Rocket Lance and Hammer to take into battle.
Arcadia – The humble beetle farmer turned Glorious Queen of the Faefolk. Arcadia, the great champion of the Fangwild, fights in the Grand Tournament with Orma - the singing Greatsword, her Eldritch Thorn Spear, and trusty beetle companion Domo.

When setting up Custom and Offline Games, players now have more customization options to choose from! ⚙️

In the “Settings” menu, we added a new tab: “Variation”, that let’s you select different configurations for nearly every mode in Brawlhalla. Try never-before-seen game configurations like Morph Kung Foot, Strikeout Bubble Tag, Switchcraft Temple Climb & many more!

We also separated the Weapons & Gadgets tabs, allowing players to control Gadget Spawn rates, as well as the existing gadget picker – which is now always visible on corresponding game modes. Want to play a game with no weapon spawns but countless spawns for the beloved Spike Ball? Now you can!

We also added a “Variation” tab to Training Mode that allows you to select a new “Morph” option. Now you can enter Training mode and cycle through 3 selected Legends and/or Crossovers by pressing the Weapon Throw Button! ⚔️

The possibilities are practically endless! 🎮

In Test Features, we’re introducing new versions of the Blasters and Spear Down Air Light Attacks when they’re performed close to the ground. Now they visibly collide with the ground and the hitboxes have been adjusted to allow for new kinds of hits. This makes Blasters and Spear more consistent with the rest of the Weapons.

Gameplay

Improved spawn positions across all Maps – particularly when playing matches with more than four players.
The Bounty Game Mode now includes more sets of different levels! Try it in custom modes!
Decreased the default sound volume for the coral spike on Bikini Bottom and the walls on Terminus.

When acting as the lobby leader, players will now stay as the lobby leader even after backing out to spectate.
The role of lobby leader can be given to anyone in the lobby, including a spectator.
You can now scroll through the Meet The Legends screen with a “side arrow” input on PC/Mac and similar inputs on console.

Added custom Emote variations to SpongeBob for Mammoth Ride, Calculated, Mongoose, and Deep Space Laps.

Fixed a bug where certain old replay files could cause the client to crash on PC/Mac and iOS/Android.
Fixed a crash on “edit controls” on iOS/Android.
Fixed a bug on Switch where the game would freeze on the loading screen when trying to enter training mode.
Fixed a bug where viewing the Luck Check Emote in the Image Render Tool would cause the game to crash.
Fixed a bug where Training Mode would swap Skins to the default after changing an inventory setting (such as an Avatar) after locking in.
Fixed a bug where the Armageddon color scheme would be granted if a Battle Pass Skin was unlocked.

At the beginning of every season, there is a soft Elo reset, your placement matches are reset, and you receive Glory – the currency you earn by playing Ranked.

Soft Elo Reset Formula

Soft Elo Reset is based on your current Elo at the end of the season.

1v1 and 2v2 Personal Rating

Under 1400: New Elo = Old Elo
Over 1400: New Elo = 1400 + (Old Elo – 1400) / (3 – (3000 – Old Elo) / 800)

2v2 Team and Legend Rating

2v2 Team & Legend Ratings have been brought closer to 750.
Under 2000: Elo = (Elo + 375) / 1.5
Over 2000, we aggressively brought you back down as a way of resetting the top tiers.

Glory Earnings Calculation

Glory earned is based on a combination of your Highest Peak Rating (highest 1v1, 2v2, team, or Legend rating/Elo) and total Wins. This was designed in order to reward both skill and dedication for those who pursue Glory.

You gain 20 Glory per win up to 150 wins, which gets you 3000 Glory. After 150 wins, each subsequent win gives you slightly less.

Note: There is a minimum requirement of 10 games played to be eligible for Glory based on your rating. For help estimating your Glory Gained or New Elo after the reset go to: http://brawlhalla.com/glory-calculator/

Placement Matches

Players beginning their Ranked climb have 10 placement matches to better determine their skill level and starting Elo.

Each season, for Ranked 1v1 and Ranked 2v2, your first 10 matches will serve as placement matches that will have a greater effect on your rating than normal games. Your rating will be hidden until after you have completed your placement matches for that queue.

Valhallan Rank

Valhallan Rank will open on April 17th at 10am ET. To become Valhallan, players must be Ranked in Diamond, have at least 100 wins during the Ranked season, and attain a rating among the top players in their region.

Each region has a limited number of Valhallan positions:

US-E / EU – Top 150
SA – Top 100
SEA / US-W – Top 50
AUS / JPN – Top 25
SAF – Top 15
ME – Top 25

These numbers are based on each region’s population and will be considered for adjustment on a seasonal basis.

Unique Valhallan Rewards

After ranking up, players will immediately receive the Valhallan Avatar, Loading Frame, and Season Title Reward.

Valhallan Loading Frame:

Unlike other Ranked Loading Frames, the Valhallan Loading Frame can only be used while the player is currently in the Valhallan rank. Players are granted it immediately upon achieving Valhallan, and if they are pushed out of Valhallan rank, the Loading Frame will be revoked when the daily reset occurs (9am UTC/5am EDT/2am PDT).

Valhallan Title Reward:

Players are awarded a Title immediately upon achieving Valhallan. Each season will have a unique Valhallan Title Reward. The Title is never revoked, regardless of rank.

Valhallan Avatar:

Instead of an Avatar that upgrades at the end of each season, the Valhallan Avatar is awarded immediately upon achieving Valhallan.
The Valhallan Avatar has two states: active and inactive. The active Avatar is rewarded immediately upon achieving the Valhallan rank but can be downgraded to the inactive “Fallen” state if players fall out of Valhallan rank when the daily reset occurs.
To reactivate the Avatar, players need to reach the Valhallan rank again. Players will retain ownership of the Avatar between seasons, but it will be in the “Fallen” state at the start of every season.

Ranked Borders from Season 31

If you placed Gold, Platinum, or Diamond at any point in the season, you are given a Ranked border based on your highest rank that other players can see in the match preview screen. These will last for one season and will be updated again after the new season comes to a close.

Your border from any previous season does not carry over or have any impact on your current border reward.

Ranked Avatars from Season 31

Ranked Avatars include prestigious versions for those who’ve placed in high ranks during previous seasons. For example, if you placed in Platinum last season and Gold this season, you’ll receive the upgraded versions of the Competitor’s Badge and Gold Emblem. You will still have your original Platinum Emblem Avatar from previous seasons.

You must play a minimum of 10 games to receive Ranked Avatars / Borders at ANY rank.

Competitor’s Badge: Awarded to anyone who plays 10 Ranked Games or more.
Gold Emblem: Awarded to players who finish at Gold or above.
Platinum Emblem: Awarded to players who finish at Platinum or above.
Diamond Emblem: Awarded to players who finish at Diamond.

Upgraded versions of Ranked Avatars are awarded to those who have earned the same Avatar in any previous season.

For players who have reached the 5th Tier of an Avatar by reaching a certain rank or higher for five total seasons: the 5th Tier of that Avatar will stay in your inventory permanently! Congratulations on your achievements!

The 6th Tier Avatar, for those who have reached a certain rank or higher for six total seasons, will take on a brand new look! These Avatars will grow more and more prestigious with each subsequent seasonal repeat up to Tier 10, at which point the Tier 10 Avatar will remain in your inventory permanently.

In short, every 5 Tiers of Avatars, you’ll keep the most awesome, most decked out version permanently, and then start work on a new version for subsequent tiers for 6-10, 11-15, and so on.

Players can continue to earn Glory mid-season and earn exclusive Title Rewards. With every new season, the Seasonal Ranked Queue’s Elo will do a full reset.

Exclusive Ranked Rewards – Skyforged & Goldforged!

Beyond glory there is immortality! In Mallhalla, in the “Ranked” tab, players can spend their hard-earned Glory to purchase Skyforged Colors, Weapons, UI Theme, Emotes, and Sidekicks. Skyforged Colors are only usable on Legends that have reached level 5 or greater.

Players can also purchase Goldforged items, which require the purchase of the Skyforged version of the same item. Show your strength with these exclusive Ranked items!

Season 32 introduces a monthly rotating Seasonal Ranked mode. First up, get ready for a unique variation of Crew Battles! Get the team together and put your skills to the test in these mythic 3v3 matchups. Each player only has 1 stock, so if a player gets KO’d, it’s up to the rest of their team to seize the victory. Knock out all 3 of your opponents to come out on top!

Brawlhalla Star Wars Event – Feel the Power of the Force! – Patch 8.06

Brawlhalla - Starkiller

A long time ago in a galaxy far, far away…. Three courageous Jedi fought for peace and justice at the end of the Clone Wars: the hero with no fear: Anakin Skywalker, noble and wise Jedi Master Obi-Wan Kenobi, and padawan outcast turned freedom fighter: Ahsoka Tano. As the Galactic Republic fell, a fearsome villain arose – the Sith Lord: Darth Vader.

All four of these Force users arrive in Brawlhalla as Mythic Crossovers, featuring all-new tech, custom Signature FX, unique lock-in animations, dedicated roster spots, and their distinct lightsabers!

And that’s just the beginning! Patch 8.06 also includes a new Balance Pass, Test Feature Adjustments, Game Improvements, and Bug Fixes.

This round of balance changes improves the risk-reward ratio for several underused Signatures, while reining in the reward for certain overperforming key Signatures following the Trial of Ymir tournaments.

Spear

The previously decreased Stun on Spear Side Light and Side Air has opened several gaps in the Spear's string game, however the loss of pressure from landing a Side Light has proven to be too severe. We have increased the Stun of the Side Light to allow for slightly more reliable follow-up attacks, especially when punishing an opponent's Dodge.

Spear Side Light: Increased Stun from 17 to 19.

Sword

With the ever-increasing speed of the game and wider mobility options, the Sword Down Light carried too much risk for its relatively thin total threat coverage when compared to other combo starters that grant similar reward. We have slightly reduced the Recover time on miss to better match this attack's required precision on the ground.

Sword Down Light: Decreased Recover time on miss from 7 Fixed/20 Variable to 5 Fixed/20 Variable.

Cassidy

Cassidy's Down Blasters had an overly long total duration that is easily punished from a significant distance away. We have reduced the Recover time to help offset this lengthy commitment and continue the flow of combat.

Cassidy Down Blasters: Decreased total Recover time from 21 to 19.

Diana
Diana's Side Blasters often requires more precision than most Side Signatures, so we have borrowed some of the power from Diana's incredibly strong Side Bow. The Side Blasters now have greater Force and less Recover time, at the cost of slightly less Force on Diana's Side Bow.

Diana Side Bow: Decreased Force from 69 Fixed/49 Variable to 69 Fixed/47 Variable.
Diana Side Blasters: Increased Force from 60 Fixed/52 Variable to 65 Fixed/53 Variable; Decreased total Recover time from 28 to 25.

Ember
We have increased the Force and Damage of Ember's Neutral Katars to better match its lengthy total duration and the slow bloom to its threat coverage.

Ember Neutral Katars: Increased Force from 75 Fixed/53 Variable to 75 Fixed/54 Variable; Increased total Damage from 25 to 27.

Fait
Fait's Neutral Orb would often score knockouts too early when striking an airborne target with the top of the attack. We have reduced the Force to bring the knockout range closer in line with other similar attacks, and some of this lost power has been traded for a minor increase in Damage.

Fait Neutral Orb: Decreased Force from 70 Fixed/52 Variable to 64 Fixed/50 Variable; Increased Damage from 23 to 24.

Lucien
Lucien's Neutral Blasters would score knockouts significantly later than other similar Signatures due to its diagonal knockback and Lucien's low Strength. We have increased the Force to allow this Signature to score knockouts at a more appropriate time.

Lucien Neutral Blasters: Increased Force from 70 Fixed/52 Variable to 72 Fixed/53 Variable.

Munin
We have slightly increased the Force on Munin's Neutral Bow to better match its relatively slow Time to Hit and travel time.

Munin Neutral Bow: Increased Force from 65 Fixed/52 Variable to 65 Fixed/53 Variable.

Tezca
Tezca's Side Gauntlets and Side Boots would score knockouts too early, so we have reduced the Force to better match with their horizontal reach and movement.

Tezca Side Gauntlets: Decreased Force from 58 Fixed/50 Variable to 58 Fixed/48 Variable.
Tezca Side Boots: Decreased Force from 60 Fixed/50 Variable to 60 Fixed/48 Variable.

Zariel
Zariel's Neutral Bow now has greater Recover time on miss, as the user could previously cover themselves too quickly with a second attack. Players will now have a larger window to launch a counter-attack from the ground or from directly above Zariel.

Zariel Neutral Bow: Increased total Recover time on miss from 13 to 16.

We’ve made some adjustments to the recently-added Sentinel Side Hammer rework Test Feature. New visual FX have been added to the charged variation to better differentiate between the charged and base version. A special case where performing the Heavy Attack while Gravity Canceled would cause it to end abruptly has been fixed.

Fixed a case where the attack would end abruptly when Gravity Canceled.

Based on player feedback, we’ve also decided to remove Perfect Dodge from Test Features, and it will not be graduating.

The Game Modes in the “Filters” screen for the Public Custom Game Browser are now sorted in the same order as they are in the “Settings” screen in the lobby.

When opening the game on Mac, the default window size is larger.

When using cross-platform linked accounts, players can now progress Battle Pass missions for the Progression Skin & Podium when using an account that doesn’t own the Gold/Deluxe pass, if they are linked to an account that does own the Gold/Deluxe pass.
In Training Mode, if the player swaps their Legend’s Weapon Skins and/or adjusts their Stats in the Legend Select Menu, then changes Legend in-game when going back to the originally selected Legend, the Legend’s stats and Weapon Skins will now always revert back to their base ones.
In the Challenges Preview, several challenges now detect successful completion of combos/strings/etc more accurately.

Art & Animation

Resized Inari Yumiko in Mallhalla to allow for better legibility of the Skin name.
Additional Emote animation adjustments on SpongeBob – Ninja Flip, Handstand, and Kung Fu Salute.
Adjusted hand positioning on the Lore-Accurate Celestial Emote to line up with characters' faces better.
Sidekicks floating in the background now have a better color overlay depending on the Map background.

Gameplay

Adjusted Legend Spawns on Chasm, Crumbling Chasm, and Crumbled Chasm.
Fixed a bug on PC/Mac where pressing the “Enter” key on the pause menu during a matchmade game would open up the chat instead of allowing players to interact with the pause menu buttons.

Inventory

Fixed a bug where the Battle Pass Season 9 Avatar of War Avatar was not showing up in some players’ inventories once they unlocked reward Tier 2.

Challenges Preview

Fixed a bug where resetting a challenge while holding a throw could cause controls to lock up.
Fixed a bug during the Dash Jump and Dash Jump Dair Challenges where the Sensei bot was caught in a KO loop if the preview was interrupted with a pause.

UI:

On Steam, fixed a double-click bug on Meet the Legend page when the -multikeyboard launch option is active.
Fixed inconsistencies with Strikeout match preview.
Fixed the visible UI multiplier indicator appearing while spectating a match.
Fixed the Meet the Legends page so it does not auto scroll from front to back.

Localization

Deathly Presence Munin’s Scythe and Bow now display the correct names: Scythe of Mercy & Bow of Mercy.
Added the “喵” character to the Traditional Chinese font.

The free-to-play Legend rotation for this week features: Ember, Kor, Seven, Dusk, Nix, Mako, Sidra, Tezca, and Ulgrim.
