Warface: Clutch - alik.yafizov

Friends!

PvE is a classic mode in Warface. The old SpecOps and PvEs you're familiar with, no longer provide a challenge for skilled players, and their current rewards are outdated. So, we’ve updated the system while keeping the core mechanics untouched. For now, a limited number of PvE missions and SOs with the new mechanics are available to play – it’s very important that we test out the changes and iron out the kinks. Other special operations will be available on Easy. So don’t forget to leave your feedback on our social media platforms!

PvE Rewards
Throughout the season, a line-up of special operations will be available to the players. Since the pool of available SOs got narrower, the rewards will be adjusted to match. The SpecOps Pripyat, Cyber Horde and Black Shark are available in Quick Play and Custom Rooms on all difficulties. Earth Shaker, Anubis, Icebreaker, Blackout, and Sunrise are available in Quick Play and Custom Rooms on Easy difficulty.

Note, that, by the first update, only some of the missions and special operations have been reworked in the updated PvE system. More maps will be included as we receive your feedback, test and tweak the parameters.

PvE and SO Rewards Re-adjustment
In the old system, the ratio between the rewards in regular PvE and SOs wasn’t optimal. Almost all the rewards could’ve been obtained through special operations, so it made sense to recalibrate them in order to make regular PvE a viable option to farm Crowns.

Here’s how we’ve recalculated it:
  • The maximum weekly gains became higher to compensate for a smaller pool of available PvE missions and SOs, as well as their adjusted difficulty. Throughout the season, the player can potentially earn up to 150 000 Crowns, while in the old system the sum was closer to 120 000 Crowns.
  • A player tackling PvE on Easy should be able to gain enough Crowns in a season to buy a single weapon (around 10 000 Crowns);
  • Playing PvE on Normal should give enough Crowns in a season to buy four weapons (around 40 000 Crowns);
  • A player who plays on Hard should be able to gain enough Crowns to buy out the entire base line-up in the seasonal PvE store (around 100 000 Crowns);
  • Truly hardcore players who play every PvE mission and SO on every difficulty level should be able to spend it all in the seasonal PvE store.
Check out the tables for a more detailed look at the rewards.

Those special operations, that are only available on the Easy difficulty, will provide 150 Crowns for completing them.

SO Rewards
The frequency with which the rewards for the special operations are updated has been changed. In the previous system, they reset daily. Now, you can play regular PvE daily as before and get rewards every day, while the rewards for the special operations will update once every week.

Dev comment: The Crown rewards in special operations will be updated weekly instead of daily to ease the pressure off the players who play to get the most out of the PvE rewards. “Pripyat”, “Cyber Horde”, and “Black Shark” on Hard mode are tough, let’s see what the players will say.

Will the amount of player XP and WF$ for completing PvE missions and SOs remain the same?
  • The XP and WF$ for completing the PvE missions and SOs has been readjusted. Individually, each completion will give the player more experience and currency, especially the Normal and the Hard modes.
Will the rate at which I can upgrade the weapons' mastery stay the same?
  • The rates at which the players are able to upgrade their weapons’ mastery in PvE and SpecOps has been changed. Just like with the XP and WF$, more Mastery points can be gained by playing a more difficult mode.

Difficulty Levels Update
The PvE rework also touches up on the difficulty of the available missions and special operations. The Easy mode remains relatively unchanged, while the Normal and Hard modes became more pronounced. In the Normal mode, you can still win with randomly selected players and regular gear, but the Hard mode is now a true test of one’s skill and their ability to make an efficient team. Because it’s a multiple step process, further PvE missions and SOs will be available later as we unroll the changes to their difficulty as well.

As mentioned above, the reworked missions and special operations offer better rewards! The Normal mode will provide more XP, WF$, PvE points, and Crowns, and beating the Hard mode will reward the team even better.

Resurrection Coins and Friendly Fire
One of the ways to up the difficulty of a mission is limiting the use of resurrection coins and allowing friendly fire. This is what it looks like in the reworked PvE system:

Other special operations will be available on Easy. So don’t forget to leave your feedback on our social media platforms!

Seasons and Grades
One of the major changes in the new PvE is seasonality – similar to that in RM and Battle Passes. Now, the players can complete PvE missions and special operations and get Crowns and a corresponding amount of PvE points. As you already know, the crafting system has been disabled and the crafting cards will no longer be awarded for completing PvE matches. The points will allow the players to unlock items in the PvE store by climbing up the PvE grades.

PvE points go towards the player’s PvE grade, and the grade is set to 1 each season. The player will get the same amount of PvE points as the sum of Crowns awarded for a mission/SO. Each grade requires a certain amount of points to be reached, there’s no limit to the highest possible grade.

What does it do?
Your grade allows you to unlock certain rewards in the seasonal PvE shop. The items in the shop can be bought for Crowns, and each season the rewards are reset.

What kind of rewards will be in the PvE shop?
The shop will offer different kinds of rewards that are unlocked progressively as the player climbs the PvE grades:
  • Regular one-time offers (a knife, a pistol).
  • Chain rewards: these are items that require the player to first buy a weapon’s temporary version in order to get the permanent version (similar to the Battle Pass store). The whole chain is unlocked once the rank requirement is met.
  • One-time offers with a limit:
    • these include parts;
    • by reaching a certain grade, the player can buy 1 parts pack;
    • if the player chooses to not buy it as soon as it’s available and goes further up the grades, they can unlock another one of these packs. So, each milestone unlocks a new pack of parts.
Shop Interface
For a better experience with the updated shop, the interface has also been changed slightly.

From now on, Astrum Entertainment will continue to support Russian servers. As the official Russian version of Warface will no longer be available on Steam for players from a number of countries*, we would like to remind players from that server of the possibility to transfer their accounts.

Shutting off the server support will occur in two stages:
  • As of September 19th, access to the Russian Steam web page has been disabled. All other features are still available;
  • In 90 days, access to the Russian Warface server on Steam will be completely closed down.

We understand how important it is for players to save their account, characters, and everything that they have accumulated in the game thus far. Which is why we strongly encourage users who play on the Russian server to transfer their game progress using a special migration page. More information will be available in a dedicated article on the game’s official Russian website.

Don’t forget that the news section and community center of our game will continue operating. There, you will be able to find up-to-date information and chat with other players. Please note that if you have previously added the game to your Steam client, it remains available to you.

*The discontinuation of the Russian Steam server support applies to Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Moldova, Russia, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan.

A new Battle Pass as part of the new season "Spirits" is now available in Warface! New weapons of the “Cursed” and “Bone” series and other thematic rewards for the BP progression and BP contracts are waiting for you. Moreover, now, you can get the basic BP access for 25,000 WF$ instead of 99 Kredits.

Main Battle Pass Rewards

The guns of the "Cursed" series may look like they spawned straight out of a horror film. But those who dare pick up these spooky weapons will soon find out that the curse befalls just their enemies. With these guns, you'll certainly be a sight to behold and to beware! Four thematic weapons of the series will be available in the Battle Pass store: PKM Zenit, Beretta PMX, Kalashnikov USA KHAOS, and SVCh-54. These guns will definitely raise your spirits in the battles!

PKM Zenit

This weapon is based on a well-known Soviet PKM by Kalashnikov, with the addition of a modern upgrade set produced by the Russian Zenit company. This doesn't affect the internal mechanisms but greatly improves the usability of the aged design.

The first of the weapon’s available mods reduces recoil and improves accuracy when not moving. The second increases reload speed and rate of fire, while reducing magazine capacity, damage and recoil.

Beretta PMX

The Beretta PMX submachine gun was designed by the Italian company Beretta in 2017 to replace its previous model M12 in law enforcement units. This lightweight yet reliable weapon is armed with vast usage of composite and alloy materials. Like the SIG MPX Copperhead, the Beretta PMX has a double-wield version and modifications.

You can install mods on it. The first one increases ammo and reload speed (for the double-wield version). The other increases damage and range, but reduces the rate of fire (for the single-wield version).

Kalashnikov USA KHAOS

The Kalashnikov USA KHAOS uses a gas-operation system, it offers a better rate of fire, as well as the weapon changing and reloading speeds, compared to the nearest competitors in the medic’s arsenal. The model is available in gold as well, it offers better damage and fire rate.

The unique "Jury-Rigged" mod switches the weapon’s firing mode into bursts-of-2, increases accuracy, yet decreases its damage and range. The other unique mod—"Trick Shot"—significantly increases the gun’s accuracy in jumping and adds extra movement speed.

SVCh-54

The SVCh-54 is a sniper rifle also developed by the Kalashnikov company, designed for middle and close combat. Its unique construction allows for less recoil while keeping the rifle's good damage and fire rate. The scope can switch between different zoom levels.

You can also install mods on it – one increases the magazine capacity of the SVCh-54, the other increases its damage to the extremities at the price of heavier recoil and less RPM.

Parts in the Shop

In the new Battle Pass, you can earn up to 10,000 parts to purchase and upgrade mods. You can get them in the Battle Pass store.

Daily Quests

The daily quest limits will be updated on Wednesday now.

BP Progression

Progression levels remain unchanged. The basic progression chain consists of 25 levels, the additional one consists of 175 (200 levels in total).

As for progression rewards, the system remains familiar: for the main levels, you'll receive achievements, charms, skins and four additional weapons, for additional levels - coins for purchases in the Battle Pass store.

You can see rewards for levels in a website publication.

Class-Specific Contracts

At level 15 of the Battle Pass, 4 class-specific contracts will become available for the premium access owners. Complete them to earn enough BP coins to purchase all items from the Battle Pass store and get 4 unique achievements!

The rest of the Battle Pass mechanics remained the same. In order to get all the guns, it will be enough for you to complete 4 class-specific contracts. You'll earn BP XP and complete contracts at the same time, so if you play actively, you'll be able to claim all the guns, as well as accumulate enough coins to purchase parts!

See you in the game!

Seasonal Promo Page

Details

Vincent grew up in a middle-class religious family. Parents dreamed of making a respected lawyer out of the boy, and Vincent himself dreamed of the sea. He constantly watched videos about navigation and played all possible games about ships. The conflict of interest grew into a long-term confrontation: the boy's parents deprived him of everything that could interfere with his studies, and Vincent found new ways to his dream.

Ultimately, authority prevailed over impulse, and young Mercier, under strict parental supervision, entered the law faculty of the University of Paris ... but on the very first day of his studies Vincent escaped on a Moroccan cargo ship. For several years, nothing was heard of him. One day, tanned and weather-beaten, Vincent returned to his home to visit his family. He hardly got a warm welcome. As a result, the young man was kicked out, but he still managed to explain himself to his parents to some extent.

After that, Vincent vanished. He changed many ships and crews, was taken hostage in Africa, almost ended up in prison in Indonesia, and eventually joined a small pirate cartel from Jamaica, in which he hunted for a long time in the Caribbean Sea throughout the central Atlantic. In the end, Vincent's gang was caught by the military, and he himself went in search of new adventures.

Agent Corsair Set

The "Corsair" weapon series represents the style and nature of Agent Corsair. Equip the themed guns to feel the spirit of adventure, sea salt and a cool ocean breeze. The weapon series includes the HK433, Mauser C96 Custom and the M48 Bowie Knife.

The game now features new achievements for eliminating enemies with new weapon models designed in Agent Corsair's style. Defeat your enemies with "Corsair" arms and decorate your profile!

How can I get the novelties?

We've added contracts with the new content. Complete tasks to get "Corsair" weapons, boxes with the Agent Corsair suit, unique achievements, a weapon charm, and other useful items.

In addition, you can get the agent's suit and Corsair HK433 by completing tasks on the seasonal promo page.

In this update, we've fixed a number of bugs, improved the bomb timer, as well as the way the accuracy of the weapons is displayed, and reworked the crafting system.

Previous Version

Game Improvements
Other
  • Now, the timer will be showing deciseconds before the bomb explodes.
Dev comment: "We've listened to the player's feedback regarding the bomb timer and agreed, that a more precise indication of the time left before the explosion would benefit the players in assessing the situation and to mitigate the issue of grabbing a bomb and having it explode in your hands. At first, we've added milliseconds, but it turned out to be too bulky for the UI, so we changed that to tenths of a second."
  • The accuracy calculations for weapons with and without attachments have been improved, now the players will see correct stats regardless of the attachment they've installed.

Content Changes
Weapons and gear
  • M84: reduced the blinding effect of the grenade when it explodes behind the player's back or nearby (the blinding radius has been reduced by 0,5 m).
PvE and SpecOps
  • Now, all eliminations in close combat (not just with the knives) will be counted in the contracts, PvE tasks, and achievements. The changes apply only to the tasks that required the player to kill an opponent with a melee weapon in close combat.
Other
  • Removed ways to get new crafting cards and started giving away crafting items. You can learn more about the changes in a dedicated article.

Bug Fixes
Weapons and Gear
  • Typhoon F12: fixed a bug, due to which the characteristics of the unique grip of the golden and skinned versions didn't match those of the regular version.
Other
  • Player Profile: fixed a visual bug, due to which the players with no Ranked history would still see a button to open a drop-down "Ranked Seasons" window.
  • Fixed a bug, due to which in some cases the weapons in the spectator mode were displayed incorrectly.

Following the announcement of disabling the crafting system, we'd like to give you a heads up about the following steps and answer your questions. So let's break down what's coming next.

Details

With the upcoming update on August 3rd, we'll disable all ways of gaining new crafting cards and start to give away crafting items. Free cards will still remain available.

Crafting items give away. If you have at least one crafting card of an item, you'll get that item sent directly to your in-game inventory. Just log into the game after maintenance is over on August 3rd.

Leftover cards. All leftover cards will be converted into free cards with a 1:1 ratio.

Free cards. If you have at least one free card, your free card balance will be topped up to 1,000 free cards. However, if your free card balance is a multiple of 1,000, you won't get additional cards.

For example: you have 15, 1,015 or 2,015 free cards, you'll get 985 extra free cards to your account. If you have zero, 1,000, 2,000 or 3,000 free cards, no additional cards will be granted.

First, leftover cards will be converted into free cards and then the free card balance will be topped up according to the rules above.

FAQ

  • Will I be able to get more crafting cards after the update on August 3rd?
After the update, there'll be no ways to get more crafting cards.

  • When will I get the crafting items I have cards for and extra free cards?
You'll get them to your in-game inventory upon logging into the game after the update on August 3rd. Please take into account that items can be delivered with a delay.

  • How long will the compensation last?
The compensation will end with the start of the autumn season in September.

  • What do I need to do to get the compensation?
You need to log into the game before the compensation is over.

  • How much will it cost to craft items with free cards?
It'll cost 30,000 WF$ to craft an item with 1,000 free cards, just like how you would now.

  • What will happen to my crafting cards in "Services'?
If you have any cards in the "Services" tab, you won't be able to transfer them to the game.

  • What will happen to my card balance if I log into the game after the system is completely disabled in September?
If you log into the game when the crafting system is removed and the compensation is over, your cards will expire, and we won't be able to deliver the items or free cards to your account.

As you know, the Warface team has been carrying out a smooth transition to DirectX 11. Earlier we decided to stop supporting DirectX 9. We will soon discontinue our support for DirectX 10. Read on to learn more about the upcoming changes.

Discontinuing support for DirectX 10

In one of the upcoming updates, the game client will no longer support DirectX 10. This transition will allow us to fully employ the capabilities of modern GPUs to improve quality and performance, as well as eliminate a number of issues with DirectX 10. At the same time, the development resources will be used more efficiently meaning that there will be more cool content.

How do I know which version of DirectX I have?

Click on "Start" with the RMB, select the "Run" tool and enter dxdiag in the field that will appear. After a few seconds, there will pop up a window where you can find the supported version of DirectX.

DirectX 11 Executable Library System Requirements
  • Windows 7 or higher;
  • video cards ATI Radeon HD 5750 or higher or GeForce GTS 450 or higher;
  • the processor graphics core Intel HD Graphics 4000 or higher.
