Warface is constantly integrating new technologies to improve graphics and performance. This year, the Texture Streaming technology has appeared, and in the latest seasonal update, we have changed the anti-aliasing algorithms and added new ones. Due to the new features in the latest update, your graphics settings may have changed to the default ones - let's check them together!

Shaders and Shadows
Shaders and shadows are the most resource-intensive frame processing processes. We recommend that you pay attention to these parameters first of all: the overall performance of the game depends on them.
Shadows are very useful in combat. They can help determine if the enemy is around the corner. Shaders affect various ambient and reflection effects.
Textures
The quality of object textures on maps depends on this setting. The most important thing here is video memory. The more there is, the better. For some content (such as some Spec Ops) at high texture quality, a video card with 4 GB of VRAM is recommended, especially if you play on high-resolution monitors.
Physics
This is the least resource-intensive parameter. It is responsible for dynamic objects, for example, grass and leaves on trees.
Other
Anti-Aliasing
In the latest update, we have changed the image anti-aliasing algorithms. Now, you have a choice between TSAA and SMAA. For weak video cards, we recommend disabling anti-aliasing, and if you have a high-performance graphics accelerator or you like taking beautiful screenshots and recording videos, you can enable one of the anti-aliasing types depending on your needs.
SMAA does not cause a high load, but makes the image less detailed, so small objects are blurred. TSAA is a more demanding type of anti-aliasing, but it provides a higher quality.
NVIDIA Reflex
Modern NVIDIA graphics accelerators support the NVIDIA Reflex technology. It increases responsiveness and slightly reduces the input lag. Check its availability in the settings and activate it if you have the option to turn it on.
Borderless Window Mode
If you haven't checked out this feature yet, give it a try! This mode retains the full-screen format you're used to while adding some conveniences, such as quick minimization and maximization of the client, as well as the ability to control the cursor outside of the game when using multiple monitors.
By the way, it is widely believed by players that the increased refresh rate (for example, 144 Hz) does not work in the windowed mode. Contrary to rumors, we can say the opposite: the game will run at an increased refresh rate (using the value set in the default system settings).
Vertical Sync
This feature helps to get rid of various "jerks" of the image, while limiting the maximum frame rate to the value of the monitor's refresh rate. We recommend that you enable it only if you have an unstable FPS value and this causes inconvenience.
I have a low-end PC. How can I increase FPS?
In this case, reducing the quality of the graphics (preferably to a low level) and screen resolution, as well as turning off anti-aliasing and motion blur, can help you. This is the most effective way to increase FPS on low-end systems.
Still experiencing inconvenience, your computer performance is not enough for some of the game content? Turn on adaptive quality in the settings. This feature lowers the real-time image quality to reach 30 FPS.
Graphics Settings Recommendations
Below, you can see examples of different graphics settings, depending on the PC and the preferences of the player.
High-end PC, PvP
If you have a high-end PC and prefer the PvP mode, we recommend using the graphics settings like in the screenshot below. In this case, the shaders are set at a low level - this will allow you not to be distracted by various effects in battle, and good anti-aliasing will help at long distances.
High-end PC, Quality
Are you a high-end PC owner and a fan of beautiful graphics and special effects? You can turn everything on maximum! The amazing locations of "Pripyat", "Sunrise" and "Mars" will especially please you - be sure to try and pass them!
Mid-end PC
On mid-end PCs, you can use the following graphics settings with shaders disabled and less demanding anti-aliasing.
Low-end PC
Do you have a low-end PC or are you temporarily using the graphics accelerator built into the processor for some reason? In this case, lowering the graphics settings and using adaptive quality can help you. Usually, with these settings, low-end devices allow you to play at 60 FPS on most maps. If performance is still low, you can also reduce the screen resolution.

In this publication, we are giving answers to your questions about the Mods 2.0 system. As you know, the redesigned system appeared in the game yesterday as part of the "New Power" seasonal update.
FAQ
Q: I can't change mods. Why? A: Play a match to convert mods. After a match, you will be able to interact with them.
Q: My mod from the previous system has disappeared. Why? A: Some mods were completely revised and removed during the system redesign. These mods have not been transferred to the new system. Instead, there are new mods with different characteristics. We have compensated the removed mods with parts.
Q: When will I receive the compensation? A: The compensation process is over. Please check your part balance in the game.
Q: I had 3 mod slots. I played a match and there remained only 2 slots. One them looks blocked and the installed mod has been removed. What happened? A: The mastery system has changed — there are 40 levels now. If you had a maximum level in mods 1.0 (meaning that all mod slots and types were unlocked), in mods 2.0 your level will remain maximum. If the level was lower, it will also decrease proportionally. If the mastery level is not maximum, some slots and modifications may not be unlocked yet. As soon as you open the slots, they will be available. As for mods, if they were removed during the migration from system 1.0 to 2.0, they will not appear in the slot (you have received parts for them as compensation). If they have been transferred and work correctly, they can be installed in the modifications menu.
Q: There are 2 modification slots available for the "Spectre" gear, but before there were 3 of them. Why? A: It's a bug. We will fix it in one of the next versions, there will be 3 slots.
Q: I have equipped mods on the OTs-14 Groza, and now it has no shooting sound. Why? A: We are aware of the bug. We also plan to fix it in one of the future updates.
Q: My unique mod for the Mauser Kar98k in mods system 1.0 disappeared in system 2.0. What happened? A: In mods 1.0, there were two types of unique modifications: for the damage and for the reload speed. During the mod transfer process, these modifications exchanged effects (damage → reload, reload → damage). The replacement did not occur in the Inventory, so the mod has disappeared. We will fix this bug in one of the next patches.
A large-scale seasonal update "New Power" is already live! Waiting for you are a whole bunch of novelties, including a reworked modification system, the Molotov, tweaks to the class balance through a new gear set and changes to some gun models, "Free For All" maps "Bulwark" and an updated "Motel", as well as new Ranked Matches, Prestige, and Battle Pass seasons. On top of that, we have fixed lots of bugs and made other notable changes.

We are doing the final checks of the new seasonal update, and we need a little more time to complete them. The current Ranked Matches season will be prolonged until the "New Power" update gets installed on the game servers.
Tomorrow, on September 15, during maintenance, the timer until the end of the RM season will be reset to 12:00 UTC (14:00 CEST) on September 21. However, the end date is approximate meaning that the RM season can either end ahead of schedule or last a little longer.
THE CURRENT RM SEASON WILL BE PROLONGED TILL APPROXIMATELY SEPTEMBER 21, AND WILL END WITH THE INSTALLATION OF THE NEW SEASONAL UPDATE.
While the season is still on, there will be the same opportunities: to play, save currency and spend it in the RM store. We'll keep you updated, and very soon we will announce the date of the "New Power" update installation. Once the new update is released, the current Ranked Matches season will end and the new one will begin.
A new season "New Power" will start in the game very soon. It will bring heaps of interesting content: a reworked mod system, new weapons, a new battle pass season with unique rewards, a new PvP map, an updated "Motel" map and much more! In this publication, we are sharing details of the key features of the season.
Modification System
In one of the previous publications, we have talked about changes to the current mod system. They include the following tweaks: mods will be unlocked for time spent in the match; there will be new customisation bonuses for the accumulated progress; the level up system will be easier to use; and the assortment of modifiable weapons will be expanded with new models. So the progression will be linear, and it also applies to the "Spectre" gear: the mods will now unlock uppon reaching a certain level. So far there are no further changes to the gear.
Battle Pass "New Power"
The new battle pass will bring you excellent rewards both for the progression as well as in the seasonal shop. For making progress in the "New Power" season, you can get competitive weapons from brand new series, gear from the "Graphite" set, parts for creating mods, customisation items, and the key novelty — the Molotov!
Molotov Cocktail
The Molotov cocktail will soon appear in Warface. After the explosion, the fire covers a small area for several seconds while the enemy caught in it endures repeating damage. The Molotov is equipped into the same slot as the frag grenades — you can equip either a frag grenade or the novelty for battle.
"Neutron" and "Quantum" Series
In the upcoming season of the battle pass, you will find two weapon series designed in a realistic military style.
The "Neutron" series includes: K&M Arms M17, AK-47, V3 TAC-13, Fabarm P.S.S.10, KH9-EX, SR-2 Veresk, AWP, Mauser Kar98k, H&K VP9 Match, Desert Eagle and the Hunting knife.
In the "Quantum" series, you can find the AN-94 Abakan, Kel-Tec KS7, PP-19-01 Vitjaz, SV-98, Buckled Lupara and a Stun baton.
Weapons
Kel-Tec RDB-C
The Kel-Tec RDB-C is a semiautomatic bull-pup rifle produced by Kel-Tec. It'll be possible to equip the novelty with modifications. We will share more details about the features and specs of this model in future publications.
"Aviator" Series
A new weapon series will soon be available in the game. It is painted in military-style camo colours, the weapon frames are adorned with drawings and stickers in a retro style that will remind you of the best decades of the past century. The series includes the VEPR VPO-X3 and the Desert Tech MDRX.
PvP Maps
"Bulwark" Map
The intelligence has discovered a mysterious "Labyrinth" bunker deep in the forest. Fighters will have to go to the base and find out what "Labyrinth" is up to.
Reworked "Motel" Map
In the "New power" season, you will find a rewoked version of "Motel", a beloved map for the "Free for All" mode. We have conciderably changed the looks of the map and made it more modern. Besides, the geometry has also been improved.
The new agent is already available in the game! Wei Li aka agent "Taishan" has joined the ranks of Medics. Wei Li is a medical professional with a passion for mountain climbing.
The agent is part of the "First Division" seasonal update. You can learn more about it in a dedicated publication.
Wei Li was born and raised in China, in the mountains of the Sichuan Province. During his childhood, he became seriously interested in mountaineering and won several local and worldwide championships. Naturally, he also did his military service in the highlands, and after finishing his conscription service he continued serving on a contract basis. He then transferred to the assault unit of a Chinese PMC, where he served for another two years.
Wei Li's talents came to light during his military service when, after a severe earthquake, his unit was sent on rescue missions in isolated mountain villages. Wei was the only one who could get to the scene and single-handedly took out a dozen of civilians from under the rubble. He would later demonstrate knowledge about the mountains and his ability to pass through them that even the best trained special forces could not compare to him. During his relatively short military career, he completed many dangerous missions around the world, but eventually decided to retire and went to work at a rescue service. He works there to this day, saving climbers amateurs from stone traps and rescuing villages caught in avalanches.
But Wei's military past still clings on to him; he has been approached with tempting contracts and even threats. He was kidnapped twice, in the hopes that that would "encourage" him to return to his previous work. Of course, nothing ever came of it, and Wei kept escaping from the unlucky employers back to his home rescue station. But eventually he had to take up a weapon once again.
The agent set includes cool weapons from the "Avalanche" series: the V3 TAC-13, TEC-9 and Karambit. The novelties are already available in the game shop.
Here's good news for weapon charms collectors: you can find a new item in the agent pack - decorate your weapons with this brand new accessory!
The game now features special achievements for kills made with the new weapon models and unique achievements set in the agent's style. Destroy enemies with "Avalanche" weapons, earn thematic achievements and decorate your profile with them!
New Contracts
We have added agent content contracts - complete tasks to get "Avalanche" weapons, a box with the Agent Taishan suit, unique achievements designed in the agent's style, an exclusive charm, and other useful items.
A fresh update has been installed on the game servers. It includes a PvP map rotation in Quick Play, improvements to the matchmaking in Ranked Matches, the return of boost spots to the Modern maps as well as the new submachine gun KH9-EX. Read on to learn the details!
We are glad to present to you a new weapon for Engineers. The gun is equipped with unique attachments that cannot be replaced with standard modifications. Its silencer does not reduce damage, while the grip reduces recoil. One of the unique sights (2x) indicates the distance to the target. In terms of the specifications, the model is close to the SAR 109T Specs: it has increased damage, improved rate of fire, excellent accuracy and impressive range of fire, offset by the minimum damage values, moderate head and limbs damage multipliers and most importantly — recoil which is more difficult to control.
The KH9-EX is available in two versions — the regular and golden ones. The golden version is distinguished by increased rate of fire and greater magazine capacity.

"Route 66" Series
The weapon series has been replenished with two new items — the IMBEL IA2 Assault and the Benelli MR1, as well as camos for them.

List of Players from Previous Games
Added the possibility to view the list of players who participated with you in the previous matches. This will make it easy to find other users: view their profiles and statistics, add them to the friend list, invite them to a clan and play together.
Other
Added additional metrics to matchmaking logging in Ranked Matches.
Added an Esports achievement pack and a Goldwing HX Outdoors Trident.
Added thematic content: the Grapnel Jagdkommando, a weapon charm and a set of achievements.
Added a contract and a special box as a reward. The box includes "Fiesta" weapons.
Added a set of temporary "Rock Solid" equipment.
Content Changes
Return of Boosts to the Modern Maps
Some spots of co-op actions (boosts) have been returned to the Modern maps, while some existing spots have been reworked — now, these interactions are similar to those you encounter on the regular versions of the maps.
These changes affected Quick Play and Custom Rooms. The versions of the maps without boosts are now available only as a part of the seasonal "Knockout Trials" event.
Ranked Matches
We are aware of the issues with matchmaking in Ranked Matches and continue our work on improving the situation — we aim to reduce the matchmaking time and improve the quality of matchmaking. In this update, there will be several minor changes that may improve the situation. The maximum rating currency limit has been increased to 3300 points.
Weapons and Gear
IMBEL IA2 Assault: - increased rate of fire (from 425 to 465); - softer recoil; - special underbarrel grenade launcher: reduced range and speed of the grenade.
OTs-14 Groza: reduced the visual shaking when firing (especially in the aiming mode) and increased the speed of weapon reload animation in order to match the real reload time.
Map Rotation
In one of the previous publications, we talked about changing the list of available maps and modes. Some of them will be available on a temporary basis and rotate every two weeks, while other maps or modes will become seasonal, appearing in the game as part of special events.
In this update, we have disabled some of the maps — they are no longer available. In addition, we have updated the terms of contracts including tasks related to the disabled modes ("Domination", "Battle Royale" and "Destruction") — these tasks are no longer available.
Other
Added highlighting of the weapon silhouette in the character's hands. Previously, if a player was watching an ally, he or she would see only the highlighted silhouette of the character.
Scoreboard: - headshots are now displayed as a number instead of a percentage; - in the "Plant the Bomb" and "Blitz" modes, the number of revived players is now displayed; - added columns with the number of deaths and accuracy; - removed the column indicating the player's clan.

Vepr VPO-X3
The Vepr VPO-X3 is a new weapon for Medics. If you like weapons firing short bursts, this new one is for you! The Vepr VPO-X3 is a semi-automatic shotgun capable of firing 3-round bursts with a minimal delay. At close ranges, this shotgun is guaranteed to eliminate the enemy by hitting any part of the body, regardless of the equipment worn. This advantage is offset by a short firing range and the lack of possibility to reload one round at a time. Attachments include a unique scope and a special suppressor, as well as a standard set of barrel modifications.

Agent Taishan Pack
The agent's pack includes "Avalanche" weapons and camos, a Medic suit, a special weapon charm and achievements designed in the agent's style. You can get the items by completing new contracts.

Weapons and Gear
Raider Barrett M82A1: fixed a bug due to which, in the third person view, the lens of the unique sight was too bright against the background of the model.
Flippers Charm: fixed a bug due to which the charm textures intersected with some weapon models.
PvP
"Knouckout Trials" mode: - fixed a bug due to which the player did not receive a penalty after leaving the match before the end. - Now, the penalty will be imposed: this is an accumulative ban of the ability to search for a match like in "Quick Play"; - fixed a bug due to which, in some cases, the sounds of the announcer could be played with a delay.
"Free for All": fixed a bug due to which, at the end of the match, all opponents were displayed as allies.
Other
Fixed a bug due to which part of the voting timer for the next map was not showing at 4K screens.
"Black Market": fixed a bug due to which the timer line was displayed incorrectly before updating the assortment of the showcase (it went beyond the screen border).
Fixed a bug due to which the descriptions of some charms could be duplicated.
Fixed a bug due to which, in some cases, weapons could not be purchased if there was a discount on them (incorrect rounding of the amount).

Known Issues
Ranked Matches: the season leaderboard is not correctly displayed. In the current update, we are making a technical release of this mechanic including the tools needed for further work with the leaderboard, data collection and demonstration.
We have recently released a publication about changes in the game regarding maps and modes aimed to decrease the matchmaking time.
We have noticed that a number of PvP modes and maps have a very low pick rate. We know how upsetting it can be to wait long while searching for a match. So, not to split the matchmaking queues, we want to reduce the pool of available PvP maps and modes, rotate some of them biweekly and add the rest of maps occasionally as an event.

We are happy to introduce a redesigned modification system. A few words about the main changes — now, mods are unlocked as you play, there are new customization bonuses for the accumulated progress, the progression system is now more convenient and new modifiable weapon models have appeared. About the Modification System
The Modification system is new progression mechanics for in-game items. It allows to change the specs of certain primary or secondary weapons as well as the "Spectre" gear by applying mods. The modification system allows the player to improve his or her guns and customize their characteristics to better suit his or her individual game style.
In the current modification system, by completing special contracts, or leveling up through the item progression, you can get a special currency — parts, which can then be used to customize articles with mods. Weapons and gear level up while playing with them. The more you use an item in the game, the higher its level, and the greater the range of available mods. For different types of weapons (assault rifles, shotguns, etc.) there is a different set of mods available.
Reasons for the Changes
The current mod system, in our opinion, has a number of drawbacks. Among the most important are the random drop of mods, a small list of weapons that can be modified and the lack of possibility to save received mods.
We want to fix them so that the player will be able to afford weapon improvement and be interested in it. We also aim to bring back the relevance of some of the legendary models that were very popular among players in the past years.
About the Changes
New Progression
In the new progression system, the number of levels will be reduced to 40. The first levels in the progression are very easy to achieve and require a small amount of experience, but as you level up, the progression will gradually become more difficult. The current progress of items will be saved — if you have upgraded a weapon by half (level 50 out of 100), it will automatically be converted to level 20 in the new system. In addition, mods currently installed on weapons will be transferred to the Inventory while maintaining their rarity.
Weapon Progression
You can speed up the weapon progression by using a Mastery Booster or by purchasing the levels.
As you upgrade weapons, you can get various items: new mods, parts, unique equipment, and mod slots. In addition, upon reaching the last levels of mastery of some weapons, you will receive customization items (read more about them below).
Item Leveling Up
You can earn mastery points in battles. The more you use a weapon, the higher is your mastery level, and the more mods are available for you.
The mod system aims to increase the amount of time a weapon stays up to date. Thus, you will receive new weapons that can be improved over time. It will take some time to get the best combination of legendary and unique mods and, thus, to boost weapons to the ideal.
In addition, we continue to balance the item level up speed in PvP and PvE. We have increased the overall amount of experience gained in PvP, as, now, items level up much faster in PvE. We will closely monitor your feedback and various indicators. If necessary, we will change the item progression speed in the future.
Mod Inventory
All mods available for a weapon model can be obtained by playing and increasing your mastery. Once you have unlocked mods, they will drop in your Inventory, where you can improve them with parts or install them on weapons before the fight.
There are two types of mods: upgradable and unique. Accordingly, the first type of mods can be improved, but the second one cannot. In addition, upgradable mods are highlighted in a certain colour in the Inventory: for example, a regular mod has a white slot, an epic mod has a purple slot, and a legendary mod has a gold slot.
Mod Inventory
You cannot use two unique mods at the same time — you can only install one unique and two regular ones.
Arsenal Expansion
The list of modifiable weapons remained the same with the addition of a few older models. Among them are: AK-47, Fabarm P.S.S. 10, Remington 870 RAS, SR-2 Veresk, M40A5 and the Desert Eagle. The possibility to install mods (including unique ones that were designed specifically for those models) made these weapons worthy contendants to challenge the latest novelties. So, for example, by using a particular set of mods, you can bring the combat efficiency of the M40A5 sniper rifle close to that of the AWP as it would have similar specs and the chance to one-tap opponents even in the best gear.
In the future, we plan to periodically expand this list with other popular weapons as well as new models designed specifically with the mod-system in mind.
Older Models
Now, almost all mods for guns from the old Vendor system have no negative effects, which would make them even more powerful.
They will be less competitive than the newer models; however, the time to upgrade the guns of this category will be significantly reduced compared to the models specifically designed for the system.
Customization Items
So, imagine you have upgraded your gun to the top level. What next? You get special items to show off your mastery! The set includes a charm with a miniature weapon model, a unique stripe, and a camo. Below, you will find a demonstration of a few of them.

Acquiring Parts
At the moment, parts for creating mods can only be obtained through a special contract or by advancing through the weapon's progression. There will be new ways of getting those parts — you will be able to get a certain amount of them in the next Battle Pass. In addition, in the future, parts might become available as special offers in the game shop.
Future Plans
The work on making mods better does not stop here — some changes and tweaks are planned up until the end of the year.
Passive item upgrading. Some guns will be gradually upgraded if they are equipped but not used in battle. This will allow the player to not spend the entirety of their playtime with a gun to level it up.
New loadout models. The list of modifiable weapons will be expanded with truly legendary models. Which ones? Learn more in future publications!
Strafe speed mod. We were carefully monitoring your reactions to the previous publication and, according to most players, this mod spoils the gaming process. The developer team is looking into the issue and will share the details later.
We will pay close attention to your customizations and feedback and, if needed, will balance the mod system by making them weaker or stronger.
