In-game event "Winter Fiesta"

"Winter Fiesta" is a large-scale festive in-game event that is similar to the recently finished "Prison Break" with minor changes. It has familiar mechanics and minor gameplay changes.

• Now PvP only. In the winter season, you will fight only in PvP on themed maps which got specially updated for the holidays. They are Xmas Hangar, Xmas Oil Depot and Krampus Town. Below, we will tell you in more detail about the changes in the familiar locations. There is no snow yet, but we managed to persuade cyborgs to decorate them for Christmas and put Christmas trees.
  
• Three main rewards instead of one. Play, open crates and accumulate progress of the primary rewards - their rarity increases as you gather the necessary points. Let the coveted weapons in the armoury contribute to the festive spirit!
  
• Reworked the gain of "Black Market" points in PvP. The reward will depend more on the player's score and their place in the team. The more effective the player is, and the higher their position in the match table, the more Black Market coins they will receive at the end of the session. Please note: on average, high performing players will receive a bit more currency than before. Those who show average results will hardly notice the changes; the points will remain the same. But the number of gained points will decrease for those who are usually not that effective.

OTS-14 GROZA

The OTs-14 Groza is a new gun for Riflemen that you have been asking for for so long! The assault rifle offers impressive specs: high basic and minimum damage, excellent shooting accuracy, fast reloading and increased limb multipliers. The weapon comes equipped with unique attachments - a handle and a silencer that does not reduce damage. All this puts the novelty on a par with your favourite guns AK-15 Custom and M4A1 Custom.

In addition, the weapon can be improved with mods. With their help, you can customize the arm to suit your own combat needs, boosting the required specs at the expense of less significant ones.

The golden version has a larger magazine and increased ammunition as well as yields a unique stripe for eliminating opponents.



The permanent regular version of the model can be obtained as the main reward of the "Snowstorm" in-game event. We will tell you more about the ways of obtaining the golden version later.

"CRYSTAL" SERIES

The weapon frames are decorated with an interesting pattern that will remind you of an snowstorm - the main theme of the new season. Along with an attractive appearance, the guns will retain decent characteristics. The series includes weapons and camouflages for the Grand Power SR9A2 and the Karambit.



Temporary and permanent models of the Crystal series can be obtained in the "Snowstorm" in-game event.

Other Rewards

By participating in the new event, you can earn a set of themed weapon charms and achievements. Moreover, in the event, you can get weapons of the "Valkyrie" series, the "Valkyrie" skin, cards for crafting the "Glacier" arms as well as various themed items from the previous years. Open the event crates to get your hands on all the rewards!

Updated Festive Maps

We continue to improve the looks of the well-familiar maps. This time you can enjoy playing on redesigned Krampus Town, improved Xmas Oil Depot and last year's version of Xmas Hangar. We've tweaked their appearance, lighting, and improved textures.

We've reworked the familiar map Krampus Town to make landscapes more festive and cheerful. Snow, fairy lights, gifts, fireworks - now, the spirit of Christmas has become even stronger on the map. Hurry up to be the first to get the vibe of the upcoming holidays! But be on the lookout, hiding behind the Christmas tree, someone might want to spoil Christmas ...

Tweaks to certain models

"Snowstorm" Gear

Upon reviewing the first part of the update, we decided to revise some equipment characteristics by increasing the number of character movement bonuses. In the feedback, you pointed out that the gear was cool in terms of damage absorption but not mobile enough, which is especially important in dynamic PvP battles. Now the fighter equipped with the complete "Snowstorm" set has become a little faster at the expense of damage absorption specs. Despite the changes, the armour remains effective, and you should definitely try and get it in contracts for Warface Dollars.

Tweaks
Rifleman:

• vest: reduced armor points (from 195 to 190), decreased the reduction of incoming damage to the body (from 12% to 5%)
  
• boots: increased sprint speed (from 6% to 9%)
  
• bonus from 3 items of the set: decreased the reduction of incoming damage (from 18 to 17).

Medic:

• vest: decreased the reduction of incoming damage to the body (from 12% to 5%)
  
• boots: increased sprint speed (from 8% to 10%)
  
• bonus from 3 items of the set: decreased the reduction of incoming damage (from 18 to 17).

Engineer:

• vest: reduced armor points (from 180 to 175), decreased the reduction of incoming damage to the body (from 12% to 5%)
  
• boots: increased sprint speed (from 8% to 10%)
  
• bonus from 3 items of the set: decreased the reduction of incoming damage (from 18 to 17).

Sniper:

• vest: reduced armor points (from 160 to 135), decreased the reduction of incoming damage to the body (from 10% to 5%)
  
• boots: increased sprint speed (from 5% to 8%)
  
• bonus from 3 items of the set: decreased the reduction of incoming damage (from 17 to 16).

MC 255 12 Custom

• Increased damage (from 680 to 700).
  
• Increased minimum damage (from 290 to 340).
  
• Inreased range (from 7 to 8).
  
• Reduced rate of fire (from 190 to 170).
  
• Increased aiming accuracy (from 74 to 75).

Golden Mossberg 590 Custom

• Increased rate of fire (from 140 to 142).
  
• Increased magazine capacity (from 8 to 9).

Makarov pistol "Tundra"

• Added the possibility to install mods.

Other

• Added the "Next Reward" tab to the "Progress" section of the main Battle Pass screen.
  
• Changed the Safe House background.
  
• For one season, the following items will be allowed in the Ranked Matches: Hidden War articles, Freddie and Pumpkin Leech gear.
  
• We have temporarily disabled the possibility to votekick players from Quick Play matches (PvP, PvE and Special Operations).

Till 20:59 UTC on 27.12.2021, you will be able to enjoy increased rates, meaning that you will get +50% to the gained XP, VP and WF$ as well as +10% to BP XP till 20:59 UTC on 03.01.2022. • Fixed a bug due to which the game client froze for several seconds if the player accepted the invitation in the Inventory.
  
• Fixed vulnerabilities that allowed, by using third-party software, to skip the reload animation and change the direction of fire.

  -fixed a bug due to which, in some cases, it was impossible to close the event window by pressing the Esc button.

Winter holidays are around the corner meaning that it's time for festive events! In this publication, we are sharing the details of the event "Winter Fiesta" that is already available in the game.


"Winter Fiesta" is a large-scale festive event where you can take part and receive a themed skin, weapons and much more! The event is integrated into the game, so all tasks can be tracked and completed without being distracted from the game. The concept of the event is similar to the recently finished "Prison Break" with minor changes. To participate or view information about the event, you need to go to a special section in the lobby interface. The navigation panel is located at the top, next to the "Home" button, and is also duplicated by a special banner button in the lower right corner of the main screen.




"Winter Fiesta" retains the basic mechanics of "Prison Break" you are already familiar with. In the framework of the event, you will receive event currency for battles, spend it on crates in the event shop, and earn prizes. The event modes and maps will also change; thus, in the winter season, you fight only in PvP on themed updated maps. In addition, unlike "Prison Break", the new event yields three main rewards: the Crystal Karambit, the Crystal Grand Power SR9A2 and the OTs-14 Groza. You will be getting them one after another, and their value will increase as you accumulate reputation points. To sum up, you will be able to get even more cool weapons and it will be more interesting to progress in the event.


The battles take place on themed maps. We will add Xmas Hangar, Xmas Oil Depot and Krampus Town. The standard conditions of a team deathmatch are on. The winner is the first team to score 150 points or the one with more points than the opponents by the end of the match.




We've reworked the familiar map to make landscapes more festive and cheerful. Snow, fairy lights, gifts, fireworks - now, the spirit of Christmas has become even stronger on the map. Hurry up to be the first to get the vibe of the upcoming holidays! But be on the lookout, hiding behind the Christmas tree, someone might want to spoil Christmas ...




This is the winter version of one of the most popular maps in the game. Create a festive mood with a firecracker gunfight or a candyknife battle! The Hangar is a great place to enjoy the usual dynamic gameplay and to be a little wicked.




This is a festive version of the favourite "Oil Depot" map with winter decorations. The holiday spirit permeates the map - the snow is glistening, boxes with gifts are scattered across the map, fairy lights are sparkling, a Christmas tree is blinking with its lights and solemn snowmen stand still as if guarding the scene.

Rewards of the Event

The event mechanics are similar to those of the previous event. To receive the main reward, you will need to accumulate reputation points. In addition, there are three main prizes in Winter Fiesta - the Crystal Karambit, the Crystal Grand Power SR9A2 and the OTs-14 Groza. Now, the main reward scale features three elements. By reaching the first milestone on the scale, you will receive the Crystal Karambit, followed by the Crystal Grand Power SR9A2. And by filling the scale to 100%, you will get the OTs-14 Groza.




In the "Winter Fiesta" event, you can get festive items, weapons of the "Valkyrie" series and cards for the crafting system. Hurry up to earn all the rewards!




By completing matches in the framework of the event, you will get a certain amount of the event currency. The amount of currency received depends on your results. In addition, you can earn it in special contracts or purchase it in the shop.



You can spend currency on crates. There are three types of them - ordinary, big and special. The special crate cannot be purchased, but it can be obtained by opening other boxes since the progress scale of the special crate is filled when opening a big or an ordinary box. The reward is determined randomly, and its value depends on the type of the crate. Some rewards can be received once, the rest can repeat. The special crate can yield a certain amount of event reputation points.

The first season of Ranked Matches dedicated to the large-scale update "Snowstorm" has already kicked off. Take part in breathtaking combats and get plentiful rewards including brand new "Snowstorm" and "Tundra" weapons and "Spectre" gear. Join the fun - demonstrate your skill and get to the top.

We'd like to remind you that we have evenly distributed the rewards gained in Ranked Matches to make it more beneficial for all parties involved. It will be easier for beginners to earn better rewards by fighting in lower leagues while experienced players will receive more prizes as they can reach higher leagues.

• The season will last till the 12th of January.
  
• The rewards include weapons from the brand new "Snowstorm" and "Tundra" series. The higher the league - the better the gun!
  
• You will fight on the maps of "Plant the bomb" game mode and Blitz except for "Platform" and "Heist".
  
• SEDs are excluded from the Ranked.
  
• The standard progression is on. Details.

Prove your skills every season to gain recognition and additional bonuses. You will receive cool "Snowstorm" and "Tundra" guns as well as seasonal camos.

• The unique stripe "Hardy Knight" and the "Warface Ranking Matches League" badge will be given immediately upon reaching the 1st and the 21st leagues respectively and not after the end of the season as it used to be.
  
• "Snowstorm" and "Tundra" weapons will be awarded for 16th - 5th leagues. Each arm can be obtained for a period of 3 days.
  
• Those players who reach the 3rd, the 2nd or the 1st leagues will get a random camo box containing the Sapphire, Spades or the Snow Leopard camos. Seasonal box camos are random and do not repeat.
  
• If you skip a season, you’ll have to wait until the 12-season cycle is complete to try and earn the first league achievement again! All achievements can be obtained only once.
  
• To obtain achievements according to the occupied places ("Special Metal Forces Squad", "Silver Veterans Squad", "Elite Carbon Squad" or "Gold Legendary Squad") and camos after the end of the season, you must log into the game during the next season. Otherwise, if you come back after several seasons of Ranked Matches, the reward will be lost.

Full Change Log


The specs of the rifle MC 255 12 Custom and the golden version of the shotgun Mossberg 590 Custom are not final. In one of the next updates, they will be changed:

• MC 255 12 Custom: will be increased damage (from 680 to 700), range (from 7 to 8), as well as reduced rate of fire (from 190 to 170).
  
• Golden Mossberg 590 Custom: will be increased rate of fire (from 140 to 142), increased magazine capacity (from 8 to 9), and increased repair costs (from 5400 to 6240).

Very soon, a new Battle Pass "Snowstorm" will go live in the game. We have tweaked mechanics as well as balanced the number of points for completing matches, especially in PvP. In this publication, we will tell you about the key changes.


We have removed missions tied to specific game modes, as well as unpopular conditions that you did not like. Now, when you receive any task, you can choose where to complete it - in PvP or in PvE and special operations. The rest of the mechanics remain the same: you will get a new task once a day. It cannot be changed, but can be skipped in case of failure. Check out the list of tasks below.




As you gain experience in the Battle Pass, you will unlock new levels of progression. Just like in the previous Battle Pass, there are 50 of them. Upon reaching the maximum level, you will unlock prestige levels - there are 20 of them. Previously, to unlock each BP level you needed 750 points, and this amount was fixed at any stage. Now, the number of points will directly depend on the level and gradually increase as you level up; as for prestige levels, the number of points will remain fixed. Thus, you will be able to quickly reach special contracts, since the starting levels will be the fastest to achieve, while the 50th level will be the most difficult to reach. Details.


The overall approach to scoring for PvP, PvE and Operation Blackwood has been revised. We will take into account not only the team's results in the match (wins, losses and draws), but also the game session duration.

PvP

To get the basic reward, you need to spend at least 2 minutes in the match and get at least one kill. The further distribution of points in "Quick Play" and Ranked Matches can be found in the table.



How should you read the table? Let's consider 2 examples.

1. You played a 37 minute Ranked Match that ended with a win and made 0 kills. In this case, you will not receive Battle Pass points for this session, since you did not fulfill the condition and did not perform at least one kill.
   
2. You played a 43 minute Ranked Match and made 13 kills. The match ended with a defeat for you. You will receive 85 Battle Pass points while your opponent, who wins the match with a score of 10/2, will get 90 BP points.

It is worth noting that in "Free for All", points are calculated in a different way. In this case, your personal performance (the number of kills made per match) is taken into account. If the condition indicating the required number of kills is not met, the BP points will be calculated according to the table above and will depend on the time in the match.



How should I read this table? It's simple. For example, if you make 13 kills in a match, your reward will be 25 Battle Pass points. If the number of kills is more than 20 (for example, 34), the reward will be 40 points.

Thus, in solo modes, the number of points received will depend on your personal performance, while in team-based modes - on the time you spend in the match and its outcome.

PvE

For PvE missions, the reward system has also been reworked. There is a requirement to spend at least 2 minutes in a match. In addition, the mission must end with a victory, otherwise the points will not be granted. The reward for mission completion changes depending on its difficulty.



Example: if you spend 3 minutes in a PvE mission of the Hard difficulty (you joined it shortly before the last checkpoint), your reward will be 30 points, and if you played from the very beginning and completed the Hard mission in 13 minutes, you will receive 35 Battle Pass points.


Operation Blackwood

The amount of experience will depend on the time spent in the mission. Prerequisite: correctly completed session ended with a victory.



And if I'd like to spend more time in the mission...

We know that the average time it takes for players to complete this special operation is about 12-15 minutes. We also think that some Battle Pass participants will want to gain more XP due to the low difficulty of the Special Operation and its duration and will deliberately stay in the mission longer. We'd like to warn you that this is not profitable, since over time, the amount of experience per minute decreases, meaning that the increase in points during the mission will slow down. Thus, a few quick completions will earn you more BP points than longer sessions.

Other Special Operations

The points gain in the rest of the special operations will be calculated according to the old principle - a fixed number of points for full completion. The total number of points will depend on the type of the special operation and its difficulty. This is due to the fact that the time for finishing special operations is more predictable and is more or less the same for every completion. Therefore, there is no need for more a precise configuration of specific time stages. However, in the future, if the need arises, the approach to special operations may be revised.

• The total duration of the Battle Pass will be increased compared to the previous one. We will inform you about the exact dates later.
  
• There are more rewards in the free version of the Battle Pass. We have also added tokens that you can spend in the seasonal BP shop to try out new guns.
  
• Now, only premium BP access holders and upon reaching level 50 or higher can make purchases for Kredits in the seasonal BP shop, while purchases with tokens are always available (it remains unchanged).

• In the future, the specs of the Battle Pass items (including those from the seasonal shop) may change if necessary when adjusting the game balance.
