The patch for the "Origins" seasonal update has been installed on the Warface server. The latest game version features improved specs of the guns from the seasonal Battle Pass shop, a new secondary weapon the Makarov Pistol that can be upgraded with modifications as well as a special contract to get it and a pack of bug fixes.
New Content
Makarov Pistol
We are glad to present to you the first weapon model designed specifically for the modificaitions system. The basic version of this secondary weapon offers good specs and has no significant advantages or disadvantages.
There are three mods which can be installed on the pistol and which can raise the basic performance characteristics of the weapon to competitive values in comparison with the best in-game models of secondary arms. So, it will be up to you to determine what specs are most important to upgrade.
The Makarov Pistol is also available in the golden version, which boasts sleek looks, features a more spacious magazine, takes more ammo, and yields a unique achievement for eliminating opponents.
You can get the "Banshee" version of the pistol in a special contract - it is already available in the game. We'll tell you more about the ways of getting the regular and the golden versions in the future. Please bear in mind that the current weapon specs are not final. We plan to tweak them in one of the next patches.
AKS-74U
The AKS-74U is a new weapon for the Engineer. This is a shortened version of the AKS-74 assault rifle manufactured by the Kalashnikov concern. The key in-game advantages of the new gun are high basic and minimum damage indicators. The arm favourably compares to its counterparts in terms of increased effective range and head damage multiplier, which allows its owner to kill opponents with a headshot at medium range. These perks are offset by a moderate rate of fire (700 points) and reduced ammunition. In addition, the weapon supports the installation of mods. With their help, you can improve the basic version of the model to adapt it to your gameplay style.
Please note: the current weapon specs are not final. We plan to tweak them in one of the next patches. So, the weapon will not be available prior to these changes.
Mauser Kar98k
The new bolt-action sniper rifle sports excellent damage indicators and a high aiming speed. The weapon comes equipped with three unique attachments: a silencer, a bipod and a sight.
The load-one-round-and-resume-fire system makes the Mauser Kar98k absolutely lethal. Moreover, the rifle can be upgraded via mods to adapt the weapon to your individual gameplay style. For example, one of the unique upgrades will increase the speed of movement, and the other - the speed of weapon change.

"Alligator" Series
The legendary Ultramarine Knife has got a new camouflage. This is not a melee arm to gather dust and rust in your inventories. Equip your fighter with the cool skinned version and feel nostalgia for exciting moments in battles! With such a camo, you will not only remember the "good old times", but will definitely get more memorable moments in combat.
The series also includes a styled charm, which you can use to decorate your weapon.

Known Issues
In the current version of the game, the terms of contracts have not been changed due to an error that arose after the simplification of their conditions: the stages of the contracts did not finish on their own when the progress was excessive (for example, 10/5). We plan to fix this and apply changes later, that's why we have prolonged the contracts (and you will be able to complete them later with new terms). Now, when doing them, please be guided by the values indicated in the contract counter, not in the description, since the localization has been updated separately.
The specs of the new weapons (Makarov Pistol, AKS-74U and Mauser Kar98k) are not final. We will improve them in one of the next patches.

"Exclusion Area" Map
The location is divided into 3 zones, one of which is randomly selected before the start of the match. An energy barrier rules out any movement beyond the zone, attempts to overcome the barrier will result in the death of the character.
An electromagnetic pulse tower is located in the center of the zones. Its delayed impact can be activated by one of the players via a special terminal, and 120 seconds later a powerful electromagnetic pulse destroys all living beings within the area. To survive, soldiers need to take shelter in the terminal building or adjacent constructions.
"Halloween Wars" Map
For the duration of the holiday, the Halloween version of the map will substitute the regular "Streetwars" in "Team Death Match".
Despite the festive mood, you’ll be sure to stumble upon plenty of zombies, pumpkins, caskets and other appropriate Halloween-themed attributes — the gameplay will stay the same.
You’re tasked with eliminating enemy soldiers, and the first team to reach 150 kills (or to gain more kills in the given period of time), wins!
"Cemetery" Map
The mythical, eerie Halloween version of "Farm" makes a return this season! It replaces the regular "Farm" and "Farm: Sunset" in "Team Death Match".
Take to the fields of battle set at a graveyard among the open caskets, moving scarecrows, flying witches, and pumpkin streetlights!
Halloween Achievements
By killing enemies with festive weapons and winning on the themed maps, you can get special achievements. The fantastic colourful decoration patterns and scary designs will surely impress your opponents and delight you.

Today a new agent has appeared in the game. We are glad to present to you Alla Semenova, fighter of the GRAD squad. Her long and hard training on the shooting range has yielded excellent results. Thus, the operative is unrivalled in destroying enemies! The soldier has joined the ranks of Riflemen.

Alla Semenova has gone through fire and water to become her country's most elegant and deadly agent. She knew she wanted to serve the Motherland in the spirit of the old school KGB agents, and she was prepared for anything to achieve this. The girl was not afraid of increased demands: incredible stamina, psychological and physical endurance, and absolute dedication. Her father, Mikhail Semyonov, had extensive connections in state security. It would seem that Alla had an easy career start. But the head of the family became her first opponent.
He didn't lift a finger to help Alla pass the checks. Stage by stage, she proved her abilities and confirmed her talents. But instead of being praised at home, she received only scathing remarks. A Halloween update has been installed on the game servers. It includes: novelties for the upcoming celebration of the spookiest holiday of the year, a set for a new agent, a brand new modification system, tweaks to the experience received per match in the Battle Pass as well as some bug fixes.
We know how much you love thematic equipment sets and how often you make cool screenshots with them on. Don’t deny the desire to boast a bone-chilling look and this year, we have two new sets that will allow you to turn into two horror characters at your disposal.
Please note: the equipment is prohibited in Ranked Matches since the helmets do not have class distinctions. We believe that it can negatively affect the readability of the opponents in battle. If you think that these concerns are unnecessary and the armour should get into the list of allowed items, be sure to share your opinion in any of the discussions linked below.
You can get the new equipment in special festive contracts. They are already available in the game in the "Contracts" section (one contract can be unlocked for WF$ while the other - for Kredits). In addition, the items are available in the game store.
Weapon series and camouflages
To mark the upcoming holiday, the collection of Halloween weapons will be replenished with five new models. Each of them has its own unique appearance with horror-related elements. You can expect to see bones, skulls, bloody patterns, neon radiation, ominous symbols, and web on the frames of the guns — everything that reminds you of horror movies about ghosts, undead skeletons, and zombies.
You can get the new camouflages in special festive contracts. They are already available in the game in the "Contracts" section and can be unlocked for WF$. In addition, the items are available in the game store.
Festive charms and achievements
Especially for the holiday, we have prepared 4 thematic charms for you, as well as a complete coat of arms in the style of the event — a mark, a badge, and a stripe.
You can get the new charms in special festive contracts or in the game store. Some items will be among the log-in streak gifts that will start tomorrow.
Contracts
Thematic contracts await you! And not only can they increase your skill in the game or demonstrate your experience, but you will also get pleasant festive rewards for their completion.
2 festive "Halloween" contracts. After completing them, you will receive thematic items, including the contents of this update, weapons from the Halloween weapon series, mini-pumpkins, and charms. The contracts can be unlocked with WF$.

Modification System
Modifications are a new progression mechanic in Warface. They allow changing the specs of any primary or secondary Vendor weapon applying special bonuses - mods.
The current version of the system is the first phase that will allow you to see how the mod system works in battle in general.
We will not add modifications to current weapon models, with the exception of the vendor branches.
For the mods, we will design new weapon models. They will initially be balanced for the mods. Such guns will come out rarely: they will require more careful testing and discussion. The first model like that will be the Makarov Pistol, it will appear in one of the future updates.
The new guns and modifications for them can be earned both through playing the game and for the in-game currency. It significantly expands the possibility to receive new combat devices. You can use a booster to upgrade weapons. They can be earned for free in contracts or acquired with Kredits in the future.
An agent with a new story will appear in the game very soon. And in the meantime, we welcome you to get acquainted with the contents of the set, that will be dedicated to them. The set includes the "Red Dusk" series, 3 thematic charms, the Agent "Spark" Rifleman suit, as well as a set of special achievements and contracts in the future.

Content Changes
Battle Pass
We have revised the way you gain experience when completing matches in different modes. Previously, the player received disproportionate rewards that didn’t match up to the time spent in special operations and PvP modes. - "Black Shark" and "Mars" ("Easy", "Normal", and "Hard" difficulties): increased the amount of Battle Pass experience received (from 80/120/200 to 100/150/250). - "Blackwood": decreased the amount of Battle Pass experience (from 120 to 60). This change is necessary to balance out the amount of experience gained with the time, which a player spends on participation in other missions or modes. We'd like to remind you that the average time of completing the mission is about 12–15 minutes, while for doing a similarly timed match, the player received way less experience — this created a significant advantage for the special operation and diminished the success of other players in other modes.

Santa Muerte Ruger Mark IV Lite: fixed a bug due to which the model didn’t have a "Leupold Deltapoint Mk5 Reflex Sight" attachment.
Fixed a bug due to which the speed of reloading animation did not coincide with the speed of the magazine replenishment if there were bonuses increasing the reloading speed (for weapons without the possibility to reload one cartridge at a time).
PvP
"Blackwood Base": fixed a vulnerability that allowed players in the first location to use an unintended advantage using the map textures.
Other
Fixed a bug due to which, when searching for a PvE room, the PvP mode was specified in the search status.
A number of minor fixes were made to the Battle Pass interface. Now there are fewer inaccuracies and the pictures load faster.
Fixed a bug due to which the "Back" button on the Battle Pass screen did not work.
Fixed a bug due to which the modification window could display the negative value of the required experience.
Known Bugs
Modifications system contracts tasks indicating the "Plant the Bomb" or "Blitz" modes do not count in Ranked Matches. To do the tasks, you must complete matches in "Quick Play".

Starting from today and till 23:59 UTC on November 4, every day there will appear new piñata ducks on the special page.
There is only one duck available at a time. Another duck will open the next day.
Each piñata has three ranks. The higher the rank, the more WF$ you can knock out of it.
The rank of the piñata can be increased by completing the daily in-game task — win 5 matches in Team Deathmatch in "Quick Play". After completing 5 tasks, the progress bar will turn into an "Upgrade" button, which increases the rank of the duck.
The grade of the duck can be raised before the daily refresh of the piñata.
At the beginning of the event, we gift eight piñata progress cells to all our players. Thus, you will start with 3/5 filled progress cells of the piñata of rank 2.
In total, there are 8 themed achievements available. You will unlock them by completing the in-game tasks starting from the 1st anniversary stripe. The more tasks you complete, the more stripes you'll get. Collect them all!
The unique anniversary achievements will be sent to the Inventory of the "Services" tab on the website.
Please note that gained WF$ will be sent to the Inventory only if you completely destroy the duck. If you refresh the event page, the number of the required piñata strikes will be reset until you completely destroy the duck in one session.

We have read and collected all your feedback on different platforms. Thank you for sharing your impressions and concerns with us - it really matters a lot. Your opinions about the new feature will definitely be taken into account while developing and implementing the system. Now we are searching for the most successful solutions that can please all parties and take into account the interests of the majority of players. In the meantime, we provide answers to the most frequently asked questions on the matter.
Mods and their specs
Q: What do we need the mod system for? A: We have added modifications to give players the possibility to customize weapons to better suit their playstyles. Weapons will remain balanced, but, players will be able to improve certain specs at the cost of other characteristics of the arms.
The modifications system will diversify the weapon line-up used by players. By spending time in the game and completing tasks, players will be able to get powerful guns and customize them to suit their personal needs. One of the possible options for the development of the system: upon completing a contract, you will receive weapons that can be modified using special parts and upgrade arms to a higher tier.
We welcome your feedback and are ready to change the feature if necessary. We want the modifications system to be comfortable and fun.
Q: How will modifications affect the game balance? A: First of all, it is important to note that most mods have both positive and negative effects on the performance of guns. So, improving one characteristic of a weapon you will degrade another one, that is the weapon will not become overpowered.
It will not be possible to modify all weapons. This decision aims to maintain the balance so that powerful guns most often used by veterans do not become even stronger. We want to diversify the arsenal used by players in battles so that you can use other items by changing their specs. At the same time, bonuses provided by mods will be different, depending on the category of weapons, namely:
Weapons not compatible with the modifications system (most articles of the current arsenal) that cannot be modified.
Weapons specially designed for modifications. The specs of their basic versions will not surpass those of powerful guns, but you can gradually customize them to suit your gameplay style. Upon installing mods, such weapons will become truly unique and competitive.
Vendor weapons. These arms will get more bonuses; thus, you will have an opportunity to improve your old favourite weapons and comfortably use them in combat again.
Q: Why do weapon mods have such specs? They only make guns weaker. A: The characteristics you saw earlier on screenshots are not final and will change. At the moment, the system is being tested and we are working on rebalancing them. In addition, mods designed for different categories of weapons may have different specs.
Please bear in mind that mods are meant to change weapons. And we aim to balance things so that mods make weapons more comfortable to play with, but not overpowered.
Q: Will there be a full description of the mods specs? Do you plan to add a comparison chart of the weapon performance with and without mods? How can I get mods? What weapons can they be installed on?
Q: Why are mods random? A: We reward players for spending time in the game - you play and get additional rewards for game sessions. Thus, the advantage can be gained solely by spending time in the game, without additional investment.
At the same time, the best set of modifications will not be easy to get. To obtain it, you will need to improve the mastery of weapons, spend a lot of time in combats and complete daily tasks. We think the best mods are a good reward for a veteran for passing time in the game.
Q: What weapons will be available for an upgrade? A: At the first stage, mods will be available for Vendor weapons and equipment. Later, we plan to add modifications for new weapons. It is possible that future weapons designed for the new feature will have a new type of rarity. Arms of this category will not be stronger than the best weapons in the game, but, at the same time, they will be competitive and comfortable to play with since you can customize them the way you like.
Q: What currency will we need? Will weapon upgrades require investment? A: To upgrade weapons and equipment, you will need parts that can be obtained for completing simple tasks.
Q: How long does it take to upgrade an arm? A: Each weapon and equipment piece has a different upgrade time. The time it takes to master an article depends on the item - some guns can be upgraded faster than stronger ones.
Q: Why would I need to upgrade weak weapons if I already have powerful guns? A: You can upgrade weak arms to get familiar with the modification system. At the same time, mods will make some weapons competitive again reminding players of the good old days and let them play with the so familiar arms with which they started their ascent to higher ranks. At the same time, mods will make these guns more powerful.
Q: Now it is impossible to understand which weapons can be modified. How do I know if a weapon can be upgraded? A: We are considering several options to indicate this possibility. So far, the mod system is in the final stages of development and we will show you the results later.

The season will last till the 10th of November.
The rewards include weapons from the brand new "Apostate" series. The higher the league - the better the gun!
You will fight on the maps of "Plant the bomb" game mode and Blitz except for "Platform" and "Heist".
Prove your skills every season to gain recognition and additional bonuses. You will receive cool "Apostate" guns as well as seasonal camos.

The unique stripe "Samurai Spirit" and the "Warface Ranking Matches League" badge will be given immediately upon reaching the 1st and the 21st leagues respectively and not after the end of the season as it used to be.
"Apostate" weapons will be awarded for 16th - 5th leagues. Each arm can be obtained for a period of 3 days.
Those players who reach the 3rd, the 2nd or the 1st leagues will get a random camo box containing the Amethyst or the Hearts camos. Seasonal box camos are random and do not repeat.
If you skip a season, you’ll have to wait until the 12-season cycle is complete to try and earn the first league achievement again! All achievements can be obtained only once.
To obtain achievements according to the occupied places ("Special Metal Forces Squad", "Silver Veterans Squad", "Elite Carbon Squad" or "Gold Legendary Squad") and camos after the end of the season, you must log into the game during the next season. Otherwise, if you come back after several seasons of Ranked Matches, the reward will be lost.

Modifications are new progression mechanics in Warface. They allow changing the specs of any primary or secondary Vendor weapon applying special bonuses - mods. In the future, the range of available items of this kind may be expanded.
Simply speaking, mods can improve the specifications of weapons, but the greater the boost, the more likely it will be set off by an additional negative effect, which mitigates the positive bonus. We want to ensure that the influence of mods will not be too strong and will not imbalance the game. Therefore, we will closely monitor the situation and your feedback, changing the characteristics of modifications if necessary.
HOW DO I UNLOCK MODS?
It's simple: just select the weapon you want to boost in the Inventory and play with it. The more you play, the more mastery you accumulate. The higher the mastery level, the more mods will become available and the higher their quality will be.
At the end of each match, you will get a certain amount of mastery points. The currency for generating mods can be obtained in several ways, for example, by increasing the mastery level of an item or as a reward for completing special contracts that will be available for the in-game currency in the future.
WHAT MODS ARE THERE?
You can see the complete list of modifications in the dedicated game menu. To go to it, open your Inventory, select a permanent arm and click on the corresponding button to the right that will take you to the modifications interface.
Each weapon type has its own set of mods. So the shotgun mods will be different from those of assault rifles.
Each type of mod has several levels of rarity, ranging from common to legendary. In total, there are five levels. The higher the level, the more difficult it is to get it.
With an increase in rarity, the mod becomes more effective, but, at the same time, the influence of the balancing negative effect grows. For example, the mod allows taking more ammunition. The greater the effect, the slower the character will move since the weight of the fighter's equipment increases due to the greater number of cartridges he carries, like in real life.
There are mods (including especially rare ones) that do not have negative effects.
You can instal up to three mods on each primary or secondary weapon model. Modification slots will open gradually as you unlock new mastery levels.

You cannot install mods with the same effect or mods of the same type but with different rarity in two different slots (for example, epic and legendary damage mods). If a mod is equipped, it will no longer appear in other generation slots.
The mastery level of weapons can be increased using both temporary versions and permanent ones. However, modifications can be mounted only on permanent weapon versions.
When using a series weapon, the mastery level is accumulated for all available versions of the gun. Please note that the post-match statistics screen will show progress for only one arm, although it is being boosted for all weapon versions.
The mod system is only available for primary and secondary Vendor weapons. The list may be expanded in the future.
Activated mods cannot be moved from one item to another, only generated from scratch.
Some mods affect specs that are not displayed in the interface. However, there is an effect that can be felt in battle.
Mods work only for those weapons that are in the character's hands in battle. That is, the secondary weapon mods will start working when the player switches to the secondary arm.
Some mods are only available for a certain type of weapon (for example, a shotgun-only mod).
