Christmas is right around the corner, but the main attribute of it is still missing. A beautiful and bewitching Xmas tree can make you feel the holiday spirit like no one or nothing else! Complete festive tasks, decorate the Xmas Tree together with other players and enjoy various rewards, including “Glacier” weapon skins!

TAKE PART

The event will last from today till 09:00 UTC (10:00 CET) on the 11th of January. Please note: it will stay open even after its last global stage is completed in order to make sure that everyone joins in on the fun.

By completing personal tasks daily, you will contribute to the overall progress. As the general progress advances, the Christmas tree will get gradually decorated, and you will be able to receive permanent festive camouflages! All players who completed at least one personal mission will receive a stage reward.

Moreover, other themed prizes will be granted to you for completing each personal task.

For the task to count, it is necessary to kill a minimum number of enemies during a match. The quantity depends on the mode. Only correctly completed battles in Quickplay or Ranked matches count towards the progress.

We are happy to announce that the Brazilian player migration from Level Up to our regional dedicated sub-server has finally begun. It will last till January 2022. Please follow the instructions on the special page to complete the migration process. You will find the extensive migration FAQ on that page as well.



Everybody who transfers their previous progress to our game launcher will get exclusive gifts - a full "Absolute" body armor set and several themed weapons for a chosen class - when they first log into the game. Check out the full list of gifts on the migration page.



Please note: some migrating players own items that either are not currently present on our servers or have vastly different unlocking conditions. We will monitor the presence of such items in the inventories of the players and will decide on how to proceed with them at a later date. You can expect a separate publication on this topic in the coming weeks.

If you are a migrating player and an owner of a permanent VIP booster, it will remain in your inventory only till the end of the migration process in January 2022. After that it will be replaced with a VIP booster for the duration of one year.

The winter update is already live! It brings lots of festive content and long-awaited technical improvements: a reworked pocket system, heaps of new weapons, "Xmas Hangar" as well as other interesting changes. Feel the heat of winter combats in Warface!



AN-94 "Abakan"

In the game, the rifle fires two bullets in a semi-automatic firing mode. The weapon specs are perfectly balanced: excellent damage and rate of fire, good aiming range and the availability of a unique grip that reduces spread and increases the arm reloading speed. Details.



The owner of the golden AN-94 "Abakan" will be able to get a unique stripe for eliminating 999 opponents.



Karambit

This long-awaited novelty is a unique knife with a curved blade sharpened on the inside. In the game, the knife resembling a tiger's claw has a unique animation and offers excellent characteristics on par with the already familiar melee models. The Karambit is available in two versions - the golden and the regular ones. The former is distinguished by slightly improved specs that will come in handy in close combat. In addition, the Karambit can be equipped with several exclusive skins. A box with camos will appear in the game later. Details.

Benelli M4 Custom

In the game, this arm offers a semi-automatic firing mode. Anyone armed with a Benelli M4 Custom is capable of easily eliminating any opponent with one single shot. PP-19-01 "Vityaz"

In the game, the new gun sports controlled recoil, excellent damage and good rate of fire. Moreover, it can be equipped with a unique silencer that does not reduce damage. In some respects, the PP-19-01 "Vityaz" outperforms the AMB-17, but its advantages are offset by a slightly reduced hip-fire accuracy, as well as a smaller magazine and ammo. Details.

"Snow Leopard" Series

A special winter series "Snow Leopard" has been designed for the best fighters who regularly get breathtaking victories and passionately eliminate competitors in the struggle for the top positions in the leagues. The weapon frames of the new series are decorated with an image of a large cat and an imitation of scars left by its claws which remind the enemy about sharp blades hid in the soft yet mighty paws. These beasts of weapons will suit the most bloodthirsty shooters!

Xmas Hangar

Is this what you expected? We have updated the Christmas version of one of the most popular maps in the game. Snowball shootouts or Candy Knife battles will provide the right kind of a festive vibe. The Hangar is a great place to enjoy the usual dynamic gameplay and misbehave a bit.



Your task is invariably simple: destroy as many opponents as possible using any available means. Hide a mine behind a nice gift, make your enemies really happy with the surprise! But be on the alert - watch out and look under your feet. Rumor has it that iced containers are very slippery. In addition, upon completing a match on this map, you will see a festive background on the statistics screen decorated with gifts and a Christmas tree.



Naturally, wins on this map will be rewarded with special achievements. Collect the festive set and decorate your profile!



"Glacier" Series

There can be no celebrations without cool arms. Warface now offers a festive weapon series "Glacier", which you can earn right now in a special event. The guns boast original looks and a colourful frosty animation. Beware, the arms are ice-cold, do not forget to put on gloves!

Festive Weapon Charm

You've probably noticed many little ducklings in various locations in Warface. And this is not for nothing! Ducks are cute little Easter eggs in the game. And now one of them is now available among the weapon charms. By mounting it on a gun, you will receive +100 to the holiday mood and +100 to luck in battles.



Festive Achievements

A special set of achievements awaits true fans of Warface and winter holidays lovers. These distinctions will help you keep the memory of cool events for a long time. We will tell you how to get the entire coat of arms later, stay tuned.



Festive Safe House

Not only game maps are now filled with Christmas spirit. A very important place for every soldier - the Safe House - has also changed for the winter holidays. Christmas wreaths, gift boxes, festive decorations, snowballs, fairy lights, a snowman and even reindeer images have been added to its decor.




Reworked Pockets

Now you can take two smoke grenades into battle instead of just one. The implementation is simple: now the player will be able to customize two support slots (the former "Smoke grenade" and "Flashbang grenade"). The total number of slots has not changed and remained the same, the customization possibility has been added only to the "Support" pockets. Thus, this will allow you to choose which set of additional grenades is more important in combat - a flashbang and a smoke grenade or two smoke grenades.

In addition, some visual changes have been made to the equipped item information panel that is displayed in a match. Now the number of consumables is shown on the center panel, and not on the side panel as it used to be.

"Delete all" button

A long-awaited and very necessary button is already activated in the notification box. Now you can forget about the routine manual deleting of notifications - pressing one button will quickly save you from unnecessary spam. Please note: notifications with a choice option (for example, clan invitations or friend requests) cannot be deleted using this button.

Updated Metrics

The server TickRate measurement units have been changed (from milliseconds to hertz). Previously, with a server value of 60 Hz, the client displayed 16.6 ms - these are correct and equivalent indicators. The value of 16.6 ms comes from the formula: 1000 ms / 60 Hz, it reflects information on the data exchange speed between the server and the game client. The user ultimately saw this value on his/her screen. It attracted attention and was interpreted ambiguously, so now the measurement units upon switching to hertz will become more understandable and obvious for each player.

Automatic DirectX 11 Support Detection

Now the Game Center automatically detects DirectX 11 support when the game client starts. If your PC supports this function, the client will be launched with the specified setting. Otherwise, the client will start with DirectX 9 support. We remind you that you can also change it manually in the game settings in the Game Center.


Important

Exchange rate tweaks in the crafting system

The prices in the crafting system have been changed. The exchange of extra cards for free ones for the in-game currencies is now cheaper: 7500 Warface Dollars and 75 Crowns; and you will need to spend 5 cards less to get a free card free of charge.

Other

• Improved calculation of the aimed fire direction. Now watching other players shooting, the user will be able to see the correct trajectory. It will coincide with the direction on the server - this will reduce the number of visual errors related to incorrect shooting display.
  
• The Christmas versions of the maps "Xmas Icebound", "Residence Xmas", "Phantom Zone" and "Xmas Oil Depot" are back in the rotation.
  
• The music theme has been replaced with the festive one.
  
• Added themed "Special" class items.

The December update will feature several nice in-game changes. Some of them are very awaited. Now we are going to share the details! Additional ammunition slots (pockets) will be improved, and there will appear the "Delete all" button in the notification box; in addition, a couple of minor but pleasant changes will arrive to the game. Hurry up to learn more!


The main change of the future update is the possibility to take two smoke grenades into battle instead of just one. The implementation is simple: now the player will be able to customize two support slots (the former "Smoke grenade" and "Flashbang grenade"). The total number of slots will not change and will remain the same, the customization possibility will be added only to the "Support" pockets. We have conducted a survey among users on how many smoke grenades are needed in battle. The preferences were divided: the majority (almost 60% in total) voted for 2 items and only 39% for 4 smoke grenades. We consider the first option as the most probable for integration into the game. We would like to point out that an increase in smoke grenades to 4 pieces can negatively affect the overall performance of the game, especially for players with low-end PCs, so the option with two smoke grenades has been chosen.

We will be looking at testing results and will continue to collect feedback early next year. You will have time to play, evaluate the new gameplay, and share your impressions and suggestions.

After the next update, Warface will feature two more new weapons: the PP-19-01 "Vityaz" and the Karambit with cool colourful camouflages. The submachine gun will appeal to everyone who appreciates comfortable controlled recoil, excellent rate and high range of fire, as well as superb damage and the ability to destroy enemies with one shot. The Karambit will get in the spotlight thanks to its unusual looks and high efficiency in close combat.


A Russian-made submachine gun developed in 2004 by the Izhmash company. It was named after the special forces unit of the internal troops of Russia "Vityaz". The operation method is based on the use of blowback bolt recoil energy. It has no gas system, firing is conducted with a closed bolt employing 9×19 mm cartridges in the single-burst and automatic modes.

In the game, the new gun sports controlled recoil, excellent damage and good rate of fire. Moreover, it can be equipped with a unique silencer that does not reduce damage. In some respects, the PP-19-01 "Vityaz" outperforms the AMB-17, but its advantages are offset by a slightly reduced hip-fire accuracy, as well as a smaller magazine and ammo.



The golden version, apart from a luxurious look, will be able to boast an even higher rate of fire and increased magazine capacity.

• Collimator Docter Quicksight has a fast 1.3x zoom, and significantly reduces barrel sway.
  
• RK-4 Grip reduces spread and recoil by 20%, and increases the speed of weapon change.
  
• Suppressor DTK-2V reduces damage drop, increases penetration and slightly reduces scope shake.
  
• Silencer T-94 makes shooting stealthier and does not reduce damage.

Some time ago we introduced a long-awaited feature - PvP map selection in Quick Play. Unfortunately, it led to splitting the search queue and thus increased the matchmaking time. Considering that we plan to disable the region selection in the Game Center in order to prevent people from joining a distant region (and thus making the gameplay less enjoyable for all those involved), we are concerned about this issue and aim to mitigate it ASAP. Details.

The following maps will stay in Quickplay on a permanent basis:

• Plant the Bomb: all maps.
  
• Team Death Match: Oil Depot, Hangar 2.0, Street Wars, Aul, Tunnel.
  
• Blitz: Residence, Hawkrock.

• While playing on a game client with a DirectX 9 support some players can encounter black screen problem after using Alt + Tab keyboard shortcut in a fullscreen mode.

Make sure your game client is updated to the last version to prevent any new problems. The update will be downloaded automatically as you launch the game.

In the upcoming update, the primary weapon selection will be replenished with new items. Hurry up to learn more. We are sharing the first details. Medics will get a powerhouse of a shotgun Benelli M4 Custom, while the Riflemen's arsenal will be topped up with the assault rifle AN-94 "Abakan". These guns sport excellent specifications and can be easily modified to suit the shooter's needs, which will definitely appeal to connoisseurs of perfectly balanced weapons.


The M4 is the first auto-regulating gas-operated shotgun produced by Benelli. Its simplicity, durability and originality quickly attracted the public interest - and the weapon was quickly employed by the military. Its system consists of two main parts: a gas chamber and a short stroke gas piston. The patented gas-operated system guarantees high accuracy of fire, as well as reliability and durability of the weapon. This made the M4 one of the best combat shotguns of the US military.

In the game, the arm offers a semi-automatic firing mode. Anyone armed with a Benelli M4 Custom is capable of easily eliminating any opponent with one single shot. The AN-94 "Abakan" was developed by a small arms designer Gennady Nikonov. The assault rifle boasts high accuracy and low spread. When firing in long bursts, the weapon shows as good performance as the AK-74 regarding accuracy and bullet spread while in single burst fire mode it even surpasses its peer due to a long sight line.

Following our strategy of improving the regional matchmaking, we are going to readjust the sub-server selection option for some players. In the near future some regions will remain hidden for a player depending on the ping value they have for each region.

Here’s a quick breakdown of how it will work:

• If a player has the ping value of 60ms and less for at least one region, all other regions (having the value of 60+ ms) will be unavailable for them;
  
• If a player’s ping is higher than 60ms for all regions in the list, the selection option will remain the same as it is now.

Please note that these values are preliminary and are subject to change per general testing results. We will be closely monitoring your feedback and our internal statistics to ensure the desired positive impact of these changes.

• Do you plan to rework the clan system?

It was in the Roadmap for 2020, but unfortunately it is delayed. We’ll update you on the status of the system’s rework with a separate article in the future.

• Will there be more Ranks in Warface?

The developers don’t plan to add new ranks to the game in the nearest future.

• When will you introduce free female skins that we will be able to choose from while creating a new character?

Currently, this feature is scheduled for 2021.

• Do you plan to merge WF International and WF CIS?

Yes, but first there will be the merge of EU and NA in Warface International and Alpha, Bravo and Charlie servers in Warface RU.

• Any plans for the new season of TOP GUN?

The next season is coming in Q1 2021. We are still considering its details.

• I found a bug, what should I do?

We will appreciate it if you submit a ticket to the customer support. Bugs reported on Social Media lack the details and tech data the support asks you to provide and thus can not be used in the investigation and fixing process.

• I get a lot of “Connection to server lost” recently. When will you fix it?

Your reports on the Social Media are insufficient to correctly investigate the problem. We ask you to contact the Customer Support.
