Special Highlight: Maxim 9
Maxim 9 is the first-of-its-kind pistol providing a unique gameplay. Without a doubt, the gun is appreciated by PvP fans due to its high damage, good aiming accuracy and excellent range. Thus, the pistol can be placed among such popular high-tier performers as the S&W M&P R8 and the CZ 75 Czechmate Parrot.
We are ready to tell you all the details about the most large-scale new feature to be implemented in our game for a long time. The next update will bring to Warface the 5th class that will spice up the gameplay you got used to and give the game a fresh touch. There is a nice bonus waiting for you at the end of the article: the plan of the game development for the upcoming months (including new netcode, by the way). So - be sure to read it to the end!
SED (Synthetically Engineered Double) is a new class; it is an android you have already got familiar with in the latest Special Operations. As for other classes, it is well-balanced and will not be stronger than them; however, it has unique features that will allow for a brand new gaming experience.
SED IS WELL-BALANCED WITH OTHER CLASSES. IT HAS ITS OWN STRENGTHS AND WEAKNESSES
There is a range of features that make the class's gameplay unique.
Unsurpassed armor. The SED class has a huge armor supply that ensures excellent protection from enemy bullets shot even from the most effective weapon models. This advantage is set off by few health that Medics will not be able to replenish. However, the Engineer class has been adjusted and now they can support SEDs restoring their armor and putting the android back into lines with a special tool — jumper.
Heavy weaponry. SED is armored with a heavy machine gun that does not require reloading. Its precision increases with every shot fired. However, there is a drawback to it - SED can shoot only from the hip and the gun tends to overheat so you will not be able to maintain your fire for a long time.
SED's secondary weapon is a grenade launcher with two charges: explosion deals moderate damage and has a flashbang effect. There are no other guns available yet, but will be quite enough to effectively eliminate enemies. In addition, SED will not be able to pick up guns of other classes and vice versa. Unassisted climbing. Unlike other classes SED can climb high objects without teammates' help: it should only run to an obstacle and jump. This skill will enable it to infiltrate behind the enemy lines or occupy an important vantage point making up for its low mobility.
Increased stability. There is no way to knock SED off its feet. Even if it receives uncritical damage from a bolt-action rifle, the android will remain fit for battle. However, due to its slow movement it will be easy for the enemy sniper to land the second blow, potentially killing SED.
As any other class SED has its weak points.
Low mobility. SED's impressive armor makes it quite heavy: thus, the android has low running and strafe speed as well as a shorter slide distance. Naturally, "human" soldiers are much quicker. At the same time, the robot's impressive endurance makes up for this drawback.
Fragility in melee. SED's main vulnerability is melee combat. One stab with a knife will be enough to disable it.
Less gear. SED does not equip the ordinary gear meaning that it cannot get the same bonuses as other classes. Its specs can be upgraded by replacing special modules.
SED is a typical "tank" that thanks to its first-rate armor and unusual weaponry will become an excellent tool for area control and frontal assaults. The new class will drastically change the habitual cooperation tactics and team line-ups in all the game modes.
THE NEW CLASS IS DESIGNED TO ADD EVEN MORE TACTICAL COOPERATION
The introduction of the fifth class will have a significant impact on the roles of other classes. The Engineer will now become some kind of a Medic due to the fact that he will be able to put the android back in line. Teamwork will reach a new level when the new class will become the vanguard closely monitored by the Engineer healed by Medics in their turn.
SED GEAR
SEDs have no gear as such. They can replace a set of important modules instead: the head, the body, hands and legs. At the moment there are two types of module systems in game — "Improved" and "Standard". The first one provides a set bonus activated when the head module is equipped with the regular machine gun KAC Chainsaw.

We hope you will appreciate the new class in Warface. Please note that although SED has been tested by the developer team, its most important trial will take place on the main servers that host many more players and, thus, allow for more ways to use SED in game.
We will keep a close eye on the new class. It is important to bear in mind that it is a large-scale novelty and almost all game aspects are involved; that’s why SED’s specs may be tweaked later.
The new class is not the only big update. Below you can find the development plan for the upcoming months which includes adding new content and reworking other important game aspects which have long been on the agenda and concerned our community.

Grenade modifications
There is hardly a player who does not use smoke grenades — an indispensable tactical tool that allows you to conceal your position from the enemy. The smoke screen visual effect has recently been fine-tuned, but certain aspects of this non-lethal weapon still needed to be reworked.
Car glass hit penetration
It is common practice to use vehicles as a cover in skirmishes. However, in real life rare vehicle parts can provide protection from bullets, in particular windows are easily penetrated by shots.
Once the next Warface update goes live, all transparent car windows will become hit penetrated. Please, bear it in mind while using cars as a shelter.
Secondary gear slot tweaks
The next update will bring revamped slots for secondary gear (explosives, non-lethal weapons and class-specific items). In total there will be 6 slots, each of them with a certain function.
Grenade activation. The grenade used to go off when it rolled to a halt on a level surface. However, if it continued to move in space (for example, on moving platforms, slopes and in other cases), the smoke screen was not activated. Now explosion is controlled by a timer which starts after the grenade hits a solid surface. This mechanism ensures that the screen will appear but does not change the basic principles of grenade use such as bounces off walls and others.
Density effect. Now the veil intensity will change depending on the player's position inside it: smoke will be more dense and dark in the centre of the cloud than on the edges. Thus, it will allow for better orientation and understanding of where the safe zone ends and the player becomes visible to the enemy.
- "Special" big slot for class-specific gear has been removed and replaced with 2 slots below that have a similar function. - "Pockets" and "consumables" have been substituted for slots designed for concrete objects, meaning that now the player can carry into battle only one unit of similar items (an explosive grenade, a flash grenade, a smoke grenade and a claymore).

SPECIAL HIGHLIGHT: GOLDEN SCAR-L PDW
SCAR-L PDW is a champion of its era, designed to emphasize on the qualities associated with Engineers: deadliness in close quarters and high reload speed. To start with, the PDW scores higher in damage than many assault rifles, and compared to other Engineer weapons – SMGs and PDWs – it’s not as heavily offset in effective range. "BERSERK": ABOUT THE BATTLE PASS
"Berserk" is the most affordable and the easiest Battle Pass we have ever created. The "simple" access costs only $2.99 and features easier tasks in comparison with "Armageddon". "Salamander" set items can be obtained without any in-game efforts: timely research actions on the website will suffice.
New rewards with interesting specs: in the BP, you can get the "Salamander" set regenerating health and armor. In addition, to make use of the maximum bonus set for the first time you must have a specific weapon equipped. Special Operation fans and solo players will definitely appreciate the items in question. Besides, BP participants will be able to get their hands on "Berserk" guns, new "Tigerstripe" camos, unique achievements and smoke grenades producing a completely black smoke screen. Learn more.
Class dependent rewards: select the class and get class-specific prizes and personal crates.
Mission system: every Monday, each week out of 12 will bring 10 new missions of various difficulty levels. The more tasks you complete, the more rewards you can get: "Salamander" items for the chosen class, Random Box guns and Battle Points. Missions are 20-30% easier in comparison with "Armageddon". Improved Base: the crafting system now features "Salamander" gear for any class and a special blueprint that will allow to select an item for crafting. The crafting of a permanent "Salamander" will cost only 100 resources! The rest of the Base parameters — research, resource and energy gain, and Base improvements remain the same. Learn more.
Guaranteed rewards from personal crates and the pistol ТЕС-9 for personal progress levels. A permanent crate reward has been added. The player will get it with a 100-percent probability after 49 unsuccessful attempts. Learn more.
The Battle Point and XP gain system for matches played remains the same. You can read more about it in F.A.Q. Moreover, players will continue getting crates and keys.
There will be no craftable weapons this time: they have been substituted for ТЕС-9 as a reward for levels. There will be resource crates dropped and players will be able to go on crafting guns from the previous Battle Passes. Holders of the full access to the current Battle Pass can craft any arms from the previous events.
