The next update will introduce the new highest rank of 82: the ‘Spartan’, Lieutenant of the Heralds of Death squadron.



Spartan are renowned for their intensive, borderline merciless training; to this very day ‘Spartan’ is a word associated with simplicity, selflessness and practicality. The training or the ‘agoge’ was mandatory for every boy upon reaching the age of seven. Taken away from their families and housed together, they endured harsh living conditions, forced to scavenge and steal to survive. Prepared for the hardships of military life, they also mastered the sword, spear and shield; overall, survival of the fittest. Thus, prepared to go farther and seemingly knowing no limits, Spartans inspired fear.

Similarly, seeing a ‘Spartan’ enter the battle lets you know what you’re going up against – a true, committed-to-victory player. Earning this rank will prove a challenge – you will need more than half a million XP.

Is it just me or it's a little chilly around here? That's right, it's time for the assault rifle R16A4 to take its rightful place in your hands. Speaking of which, caution is strongly advised when handling the weapon -- prolonged exposure may lead to frostbites, so wear gloves!



Frozen R16A4 is a well-known military adaptation of a legendary American rifle. The technology behind rifling combined with optimised barrel length bring the best performance out of the 5.56 catridge: takedown power and effective range, whilst its design ensures recoil absorption. This event will be active from 00:00 UTC March 21st to 23:59 March 26th.

Completing these objectives will award you various pieces of the Elite Squadron gear set, depending on the activity completed. This is a one-time reward and it is added instantly upon completing a listed activity.

Take a look at your sidearm and melee weapon. Now take a look at AY P226 and Tactical Axe 'Icebreaker'. Take a good look. Feel the difference? It can save your life!



AY P226 is a superb semi-automatic pistol boasting high damage thanks to its velocity, competitive effective range and rate of fire, controllable recoil, and on the top of that -- an extended magazine up to 20 rounds! The sidearm comes with a unique suppressor designed to stabilize the weapon to increase your accuracy whilst keeping bullet velocity in check. Another feature is a Trijicon RMR ADjustable LED miniscope which gives 1.4 magnification.

Tactical Axe in its place is a light-weight reliable melee weapon. Designed to provide far greater reach in close quarters, high quality alloy will ensure a deep clean cut even against a heavy vest.

A solid addition to the arsenal of every sniper, the mighty R14 Crazy Horse will be delivered in two variants: regular and golden. It will be soon available in the game for a short period of time during a special event! R14 Crazy Horse Random Box will be givan as a reward for completing a special operation, such as 'Icebreaker' at the 'Hard' difficulty or above.

The EU and NA servers will be down for maintenance from 8 to 11 AM UTC on March 15th. Please take note that you won’t be able to access the game during that time.

During the server downtime the Icebreaker update will be introduced to the game.

All services will continue as usual after the server restart .

As you are already aware, from now on Warface in North America and Europe will be published by My.com while Crytek focuses on developing and supporting the game. We are happy to announce that the transition process has already started.

Players will be asked to perform a short and easy migration procedure. When it is completed, your Warface account will be moved to My.com servers with all characters, progress, items and Kredit balance included, so fear not!

To celebrate this new age of Warface every player that transfers their account will receive a complimentary My.com welcome gift on the first login after transition. It includes a full 6-piece set of permanent Earth-Shaker weapons:
