Last week HAWKEN was released on Steam and the Nemesis Bundle became available for purchase but we have another huge weekend planned! We're releasing another bundle that players can purchase which will also provide immediate access to HAWKEN during this initial Early Access phase. In addition to this new bundle we are also hosting a Double XP Weekend and we're implementing a limited-time discount on the purchasing of Meteor Credits!

The Prosk Starter Bundle



This weekend marks the release of our second bundle for HAWKEN under Steam's Early Access program. The Prosk Starter Bundle contains the Vanguard, Infiltrator and Sharpshooter mechs as well as an exclusive Prosk Pilot Emblem. Just like the Nemesis Bundle, purchasing the Prosk Starter Bundle will give players immediate access to HAWKEN during this initial Early Access phase. The Prosk Starter Bundle is priced at $20 USD, but will be available with an initial 50% discount for only $10 USD. This discount won't last forever, so take advantage of it while you can!

Double XP Weekend



Beginning Friday morning and lasting until February 24, all pilots will earn double the normal amount of XP. Use this temporary boost to increase your mech ranks and pilot levels!

Meteor Credit Discounts



Pilots can also take advantage of discounted prices on Meteor Credits this weekend. From February 21-24, all pilots will receive a 20% discount when purchasing Meteor Credits. Been looking to customize your war machine? Purchase some Meteor Credits this weekend and use them to personalize your mech!

On February 19 at 11:30 a.m. PST, we'll be taking the HAWKEN game client and servers offline to deploy a minor game update. We expect the downtime to last 1 hour. The most notable changes being made in this update are adjustments to the Incinerator.

Incinerator Balance

B3-AR: M4MA

• Increased heat per shot from 4 to 6.5

B3-AR: PPA

• Increased damage per shot from 11 to 13
  
• Decreased heat per shot from 6 to 5.5

We made a small adjustment to the Slug Rifle today.

• Decreased damage from 70 to 60

This was done to address the strength that the Reaper and Sharpshooter are currently demonstrating. This change reduces some of the burst potential of these mechs while keeping their harassment capabilities intact.

We will be deploying a minor update tonight at approximately 8:00 p.m. PST. This update will address a few bugs, apply a few general improvements and make a small adjustment to mech armor. This will require us to take services offline and we estimate the outage to last around 1 hour.

Balance

• Increased the armor of all mechs by 5%.

General Improvements

• Increased server timeout when joining through Server Browser from 15 seconds to 60 seconds.
  
• Changed the key to volunteer for Team Switch from F12 to F8 so it doesn't conflict with Steam's default screenshot key.
  
• Can now change the key binding for Volunteer Team Switch from the settings page.
  
• Updated the text of the key binding for using consumables.
  
• The MC Wallet is now refreshed after purchasing credits from within the in-game Steam overlay.

Bugs Fixed

• Fixed: Players were stuck in a party unable to progress past the Play button after a network disconnection.
  
• Fixed: Purchasing multiple items at once from the market would sometime be slow and could partially fail.
  
• Fixed: Hitch when inviting many friends to a party at once.
  
• Fixed: Game could crash on exit.

February is here and HAWKEN is celebrating Valentine's Day with the Hearts of Fire promotion! Starting February 12, we're bringing back our two Valentine's Day themed camouflages from last year as limited-time offers.

We'd like to thank all of our players for their feedback and patience this week as we made the transition to Steam. The final batch of emails is being sent out today, so all of our previous players should have access to HAWKEN soon. Here's a look at what we have planned for this week.

Steam Early Access

We're pleased to announce that we will be making HAWKEN available to the public through Steam Early Access on Thursday, February 13. We will also be reactivating new account creation and implementing the full, content complete version of our Steam update.

During the first phase of Early Access, new pilots will be required to purchase a bundle in order to play. We felt this was necessary to help control our server load and offer the very best experience possible to all players. Once a bundle is purchased you'll be provided a code to assist with creating your pilot account on our website. Please note that a pilot account is required to play HAWKEN.

Steam Preview Page Now Live

Pilots can now visit the HAWKEN preview page on the Steam Store. Since our Steam Store page is now live, we are finalizing the reactivation of Meteor Credit purchasing and implementing Steam Wallet support.

The "Nemesis" Bundle

Early Access will begin with only one bundle available for purchase. The Nemesis bundle is a special, limited time bundle that contains a large amount of content at a deeply discounted price. It contains 9 mechs, a global repair drone, all 3 Nemesis themed chassis art pieces, 6410 HAWKEN Credits, 720 Meteor Credits and an exclusive pilot emblem, all for only $29.99 USD.

It's important to note that this information here represents the <u>FULL</u> patch for our Steam Update. The version you are currently playing is feature complete, but does not have the Incinerator, Bunker or the other new content listed here available yet. We plan on releasing our full content patch for the Steam Update within the next two weeks. More information on the timeframe for that release will be forthcoming.
